Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pola relasi sosial teman sebaya dengan penggunaan media sosial pada siswa sekolah menengah pertama baik secara parsial maupun secara bersama-sama. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif kuantitatif korelasional. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penrelitian ini sejumlah 213 dari populasi siswa berjumlah 542 dengan teknik pengambilan sampel proportionate stratified random sampling, Alat pengumpulan data menggunakan skala pola relasi sosial teman sebaya dan angket penggunaan media sosial, yang masing-masing realibilitasnya 0,837 dan 0,886. Adapun teknik analisis data menggunakan product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa antara pola relasi sosial teman sebaya dengan penggunaan media sosial memiliki hubungan yang signifikan (r= 0,221 ; p < 0,05). Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara pola relasi sosial teman sebaya dengan penggunaan media sosial. Semakin tinggi penggunaan media sosial maka semakin tinggi pola relasi sosial teman sebaya siswa.   This research has a purpose to know the relationship between the peer relation patern with social media utilizing by junior high school students either in partial or together manner. This research uses descriptive correlational quantitative design. The sample used in this research amount 213 from students population which are amount 542 by proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The instrument to accumulate the data uses peer relation patern and social media utilizing questionnaire, which each their realibility 0,837 and 0,886. The data analysis technique uses product moment. The result of this research shows that between the peer relation patern with social media utilizing has a significant relation (r= 0,221 ; p < 0,05). Conclusion, we can say that there is a significant relation between the peer relation patern withsocial media utilizing. The more high social media utilizing, the more high the peer relation patern of students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan berdasarkan fenomena disekolah yang dirujuk dari fenomena global yang terjadi berupa krisis menurunan self-esteem pada usia remaja. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menguji keefektifan layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan pendekatan experiential learning untuk meningkatkan self-esteem siswa kelas VIII MTs Al Asror  Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode one group pretest-posttest design. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling, dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 8 siswa. Alat pengumpul data menggunakan skala self-esteem dengan reliabilitas alpha cronbach (r=0,7;p<0,05). Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis data deskriptif, self-esteem siswa sebelum diberikan layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan pendekatan experiential learning memiliki nilai rata-rata dalam kategori rendah (M=2,4,SD=0,1). Self-esteem siswa sesudah diberikan layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan pendekatan experiential learning memiliki nilai rata-rata dalam kategori tinggi (M=3,1,SD=0,1). Selain itu juga dilakukan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji wilcoxon (Z= 4,00, p<0,05). Berdasarkan hasil analisis data deskriptif serta uji hipotesis maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan pendekatan experiential learning efektif untuk meningkatkan self-esteem siswa kelas VIII MTs Al Asror  Semarang.   This research was conducted based on school phenomenon that was referenced from global phenomenon that happened in the form of crisis of decreasing self-esteem in adolescent age. The purpose of this research is to test the effectiveness of group guidance service with experiential learning approach to improve self-esteem of class VIII student MTs Al Asror Semarang. This research uses one group pretest-posttest design method. Sampling technique using purposive sampling, with sample of research as many as 8 students. The data collection tool uses a self-esteem scale with alpha cronbach reliability (r = 0.7; p <0.05). Data analysis technique using descriptive data analysis, self-esteem before the students given group guidance service with experiential learning approach has the average value in the low category (M = 2.4, SD = 0.1). Student self-esteem after being given group counseling services with experiential learning approach has an average value in the high category (M = 3.1, SD = 0.1). Also tested hypothesis using wilcoxon test (Z = 4.00, p <0,05). Based on the results of descriptive data analysis and hypothesis testing it can be concluded that the guidance services group with experiential learning approach is effective to improve self-esteem students of class VIII MTs Al Asror Semarang.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze acceptance and commitment therapy counseling and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy counseling to reduce students? school burnout. To do so, the study employed pretest and multiple posttest design by involving 10 students chosen using purposive sampling from 430 students in Public Senior High School 3 Pati (SMA N 3 Pati). Their data were collected using School Burnout Inventory. Further, the results of repeated measure anova showed that acceptance and commitment therapy and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy counseling were effective to reduce students? school burnout. For more, the discussion in this paper has more focus on the implication of counseling in school practice.

Abstract

This study attempted to identify and analyze the relationship between life satisfaction, and problematic social media use on students by using self-esteem as the mediator. To do so, the population involved in this study were students of Public Junior High School (SMP Negeri) throughout Semarang City who used social media with the sample of 345 students selected using cluster random sampling technique. For more, their data were collected using the life satisfaction scale, Bergen Social Media Addiction Scale (BSMAS), and self-esteem inventory (SEI). The results of mediation analysis indicated that the indirect effect of life satisfaction and problematic social media use mediated by self-esteem was significant, while the direct effect was not significant. Thus, this study contributes implications for counselors in providing classical guidance service with a discussion related to the use of social media with the aim of preventing problematic social media use.

Abstract

This study attempted to analyze the CBT group counseling with problem solving and role play techniques to improve students? emotional intelligence. The study employed pretest and multiple posttest design. Meanwhile, purposive sampling was used to select 18 experimental subjects assigned to three groups randomly, in other words, there were six students in each group. Their data were collected using emotional intelligence scale. The results of mixed ANOVA test showed that the CBT group counseling with problem solving and role play techniques was effective to improve students? emotional intelligence by having (F (1.15) = 12.097, p < 0.05). It was also proved by several effects examined, namely time effect (F (2.30) = 1201.32, p < 0.05), and the effect of time and group interaction (F (2.30) = 6. 427, p < 0.05). These asserted that the CBT group counseling with problem solving and role play techniques is effective to improve students? emotional intelligence.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Metaphorical Reality group counseling to improve self-esteem in vocational students with nomophobic symptoms. This study used a Pretest-Posttest Random Control Group design involving 14 students selected by purposive sampling grouped into two randomly 7 people for each group. Data collection was performed using the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) and Nomophobia Questionnaire (NMP-Q). Mann-Withney U and Wilcoxon test results showed that the metaphorical reality engineering intervention group increased self-esteem in students with nomophobic symptoms, Z = -2.375, p < 0.05. This finding proves that metaphorical group reality counseling is effective for increasing self-esteem in students who experience symptoms of nomophobia.

Abstract

Konsep diri akademik menjadi salah satu pemeran penting dalam pembentukan identitas diri siswa untuk mencapai keberhasilan dalam bidang akademik. Beberapa kasus siswa membolos hingga berhenti sekolah dengan alasan tidak menyukai mata pelajaran tertentu ditengarai akibat kurangnya pemahaman para siswa mengenai konsep diri akademik mereka sendiri, sehingga hal ini dapat menimbulkan menurunnya hasil belajar hingga kegagalan pada siswa. Bimbingan dan konseling sebagai komponen pendidikan disekolah sesungguhnya dapat mengambil peranan dalam membantu siswa meningkatkan konsep diri akademik. Salah satu kegiatan layanan bimbingan dan konseling yang dapat dilaksanakan adalah kegiatan konseling individu. Tentu untuk mencapai hasil yang maksimal dibutuhkan teknik atau pendekatan khusus. Adapun pendekatan yang dapat digunakan adalah pendekatan Solution-Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC), melalui  pendekatan ini siswa akan berkolaborasi dengan konselor untuk berfokus menemukan solusi sehingga bisa melakukan perubahan pada diri menjadi individu yang memiliki konsep diri positif. Pendekatan berfokus pada pembangunan solusi sehingga dengan solusi yang ditemukan, siswa bisa secara singkat untuk membantu penyelesaian tugas perkembangannya.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the effectiveness of group counseling with cognitive behavior therapy approach using passive music therapy technique to improve the self-efficacy of millennials college students who is writing thesis. The research used quasi-experimental design (pretest, post-test,and follow-up). Group counseling was conducted for five meetings, and follow-up was performed two weeks after the treatment. Research subjects were seven millennials college students. Purposive sampling technique was used to select the subjects, that is based on inclusion criteria and level of self-efficacy which is obtained from self-efficacy scale (rxy=0.601-0.839,coefficient alpha=0.951).The results showed that group counseling with cognitive behavior therapy approach using passive music therapy technique was significantly effective to improve the millennials college students’ self-efficacy in pretest vs. post-test and pretest vs follow-up, but in post-test vs. follow-up there was a slight decrease in self-efficacy. Passive music therapy which is integrated into group counseling with cognitive behavior counseling approach, it is not only able to solve the individual problems but also able to help individuals to analyze their thoughts and behaviors through passive music activities with guidedimagery.

Abstract

The mobile phone users in students are increased dramatically. Unfortunately, excessive use of mobile phone could cause addiction. The addiction to mobile phone affecting the personal and social life of students. Therefore, authors decided to identify the effect of cognitive-behavioral counseling interventions on self-esteem and the tendency of mobile phone addiction in students of Vocational School 1 Muhammadiyah Semarang. Participants in the pretest were 120 students. This study used a quasi-experiment method, pretest-posttest control group design involving 12 students, randomly divided to experiment (6 students) and control group (6 students). The samples were selected using purposive sampling with low self-esteem criteria and a high tendency for mobile phone addiction. The MANCOVA test results proved that cognitive-behavioral counseling had an effect on self-esteem (F1.8=265.28; ηp2=0.963; p<0.001), and the tendency of mobile phone addiction (F1.8=1115.90; ηp2=0.973; p<0.001). The findings of this study proved that there were effects of cognitive-behavioral counseling interventions on self-esteem and the tendency of mobile phone addiction.

Abstract

The demand for a better education system will result in not only a better academic achievement but also students with better character. Particularly in this digital era, it is very important to integrate technology in the process of guidance and counseling services at schools. This article aims to provide a critical review of implementation and application of classical guidance with format flipped classroom in coping with the advance of technology as an effort that can be made by school counselors in order to make innovation in guidance and counseling service at schools. This research method is a literature study. This study collected and analyzed relevant journals related to the use of flipped classroom. Class guidance with flipped classroom format has the potential to help school counselors to manage classical guidance and stimulate students to be active, communicative, and contributive to the process of guidance so that the topic presented can be addressed directly. In addition, by doing this, it is expected that students can develop themselves well in their social, academic, and career life. School counselors can use flipped classroom guidance to make innovation in performing classroom guidance services. The steps to perform flipped classroom guidance, in brief, are determine the topic to be discussed based on the need of the student, creating service program plan, then setting up the activities that the students will do in pre-class activity and inside the class, the implementation of the activities and evaluation, and follow up.
