Abstract

Until now, the world of education tends to be dominated by the concept of intellectual intelligence (IQ) both in theory and practice, while the aspect of emotional intelligence (EQ) is often neglected. However, in the context of Islamic education, emotional intelligence is a crucial foundation for forming individuals who are knowledgeable and have noble morals according to the guidance of sharia. Therefore, this study aims to explore the dimensions of emotional intelligence in the Qur'an through the narratives of the Prophet Moses, the Prophet Joseph, and Luqman al-Hakim. The focus of this study is to analyze how these figures manage emotional stress, make decisions, and carry out leadership and guidance effectively. This study uses a qualitative approach with a narrative-thematic analysis method and a maudū'i (thematic) interpretation approach. Through this technique, patterns of emotional education are identified from the Qur'anic texts to see their relevance to modern Islamic psychopedagogy. The research findings show that the Qur'an not only contains cognitive and spiritual aspects but also provides a comprehensive affective structure in the Islamic learning process. The stories of the prophets provide concrete models of self-regulation, empathy, and mental resilience, which are at the heart of emotional intelligence. This research significantly contributes to the development of a revelation-based character education curriculum. The results can serve as a theoretical foundation for educational practitioners in designing learning models that integrate emotional and spiritual intelligence contextually.

Abstract

This study examines the efforts to achieve balance between formal academic grades and the Al-Qur’an memorization target (tahfidz) among 6th-grade students at UPTD SDN 4 Maddukkelleng, who are in a dynamic cognitive development phase and face significant dual curriculum demands. The main challenges identified are the high cognitive load and psychological pressure (stress and achievement anxiety) stemming from both internal and external expectations. The students' success in balancing these two demands heavily relies on mastering time management (such as Time Blocking and Minimal Spacing strategies), adaptive learning strategies (Active Recall and Chunking), as well as self-discipline and mental resilience (grit). Furthermore, the central role of social support particularly from tahfidz teachers, assisting teachers, and parents is proven to be essential in fostering students' intrinsic motivation and self-efficacy, ensuring that the tahfidz process is based on awareness and love rather than coercion. This integrated approach ultimately aims to produce individuals who are not only academically and memorizationally successful, but also responsible, focused, and morally upright.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of religious moderation values among students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah As'Adiyah No. 3 Sengkang based on a psychology perspective. The study used qualitative methods through literature studies combined with observation, and interviews. The results showed that religious moderation values have been consistently applied through religious habits, learning activities, and social interactions within the madrasah environment. Students demonstrate tolerance, respect for differences in beliefs, are able to resolve conflicts peacefully, and work together regardless of religious background. From a psychology perspective, the application of religious moderation values contributes to cognitive, affective, and psychomotor development, while also forming a moderate, empathetic, and inclusive personality. These findings emphasize the importance of the role of teachers as role models and the effectiveness of religious habits as a basis for character formation since elementary education.
