Abstract

In Indonesia’s increasingly digital urban environment, internet service providers (ISPs) face challenges in delivering packages that suit the diverse needs of apartment residents. A one-size-fits-all strategy often leads to service mismatches and customer dissatisfaction. This study aims to address this gap by segmenting apartment-based internet subscribers in Jakarta, Surabaya, and Bandung using the K-Means clustering algorithm. The research utilized secondary data from 12,966 subscribers, incorporating key variables such as service package type, housing classification, payment method, and average revenue per user (ARPU). Through data preprocessing and cluster analysis using IBM SPSS, five distinct customer segments were identified, each representing specific behavioral traits and service preferences. These segments range from budget-conscious families to high-end users with complex service demands. Guided by the STP (Segmentation, Targeting, Positioning) framework and the 7Ps of marketing, two primary target segments Family Value Mid-Tier and Stream Pro Users were highlighted for their high market potential and alignment with strategic pricing. The findings contribute practical insights for ISPs in developing personalized broadband services and more efficient marketing strategies tailored to urban apartment markets. This research also demonstrates the value of data-driven segmentation in improving customer satisfaction and business competitiveness in the digital service sector.

Abstract

This study explores the social challenges experienced by shift workers in a telecommunication company, particularly those working at the Network Operation Center (NOC) of PT Link Net. Shift work is essential for maintaining uninterrupted network operations; however, it often disrupts workers’ ability to balance professional responsibilities with family and social life. The research aims to examine how shift schedules affect interactions with nuclear families, extended families, and community or hobby groups, as well as how workers adapt to these conditions. Using an ethnographic approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and participant observation with five shift workers who met the study criteria. Thematic analysis revealed three main shared challenges: difficulty synchronizing schedules with family and friends, feelings of isolation due to limited opportunities for direct social interaction, and the need to allocate specific time to stay connected through digital platforms. These findings highlight how workers redefine “quality time,” shifting its meaning from duration to the depth of interaction. The study suggests that workplace policies should consider more flexible arrangements to support work-life balance and reduce the negative social impacts of shift work.

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the level of investment feasibility in IDX index stocks for the 2022 period using the Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM) method in determining investment decisions. This type of quantitative research is descriptive. The population of this study is Oil & Gas Storage, Distribution companies listed on the IDX-IC index for the period January - December 2022. The samples are 8 company shares that meet the criteria set by the researcher. This study uses SPSS linear regression analysis to determine the beta coefficient of the Capital Asset Pricing Modeling (CAPM) method and compares the expected return with the stock market rate of return during the observation period to further distinguish between efficient and inefficient stocks. The results of the observations show that 7 companies have efficient shares and 1 company that has inefficient shares which can be seen in the SML Security Market Line (SML) graph or the securities market line (GPS) of the CAPM model for efficient shares and inefficient shares.

Abstract

Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD) merupakan sumber penerimaan penting untuk pembiayaan pembangunan dan kemandirian daerah. UPTD Laboratorium Konstruksi Dinas PUPR Kota Payakumbuh berpotensi meningkatkan PAD melalui layanan peminjaman peralatan uji konstruksi, namun optimalisasinya memerlukan pemahaman mendalam tentang pengguna. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengoptimalkan PAD dengan segmentasi pengguna menggunakan K-Means Clustering. Data pelanggan periode Januari – November 2024 (51 pengguna) dianalisis berdasarkan atribut demografi, jenis pekerjaan, frekuensi layanan, total konstribusi PAD, dan sumber pendanaan. Hasil segmentasi menghasilkan tiga kluster: (1) Pengguna Massal Berkontribusi Stabil (36 pengguna), kontribusi total tinggi meski per individu rendah; (2) Pengguna Fokus Layanan dengan Kontribusi Tinggi (10 pengguna), intensif menggunakan layanan tertentu dengan kontribusi di atas rata – rata; (3) Pengguna Spesifik Premium (5 penguna), kontribusi rata – rata tertinggi melalui layanan Core Drill. Segmentasi ini membantu memahami pola penggunaan layanan dan merancang strategi terarah. Optimalisasi PAD dapat dilakukan melalui promosi untuk kluster 1, peningkatan kualitas layanan untuk kluster 2, serta ekspansi pasar premium untuk kluster 3. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi praktis dalam pengelolaan PAD dan akademis dalam penerapan analitik data untuk layanan publik, mendorong efisiensi dan inovasi UPTD Laboratorium Konstruksi.

Abstract

The laptop industry faces significant challenges and opportunities amidst a dynamic and competitive market. Understanding the factors that influence consumers' repurchase decisions is crucial for laptop manufacturers and marketers to develop effective strategies. This research aims to analyze the factors that influence the decision to repurchase laptop products using the Binary Logistic Regression method. This research uses primary data from 271 respondents in Indonesia which was collected via an online questionnaire. Data analysis was carried out using Binary Logistic Regression. The dependent variable is the laptop repurchase decision (yes/no). Independent variables include age, gender, domicile, income, expenses, laptop price, and place of purchase. The analysis shows that income and place of purchase have a significant effect on the decision to repurchase a laptop. The prediction model has an overall accuracy of 62%, with an accuracy of 56.3% for predictions of not making a repeat purchase and 67.6% for predictions of making a repeat purchase. Other factors such as age, gender, domicile, expenditure and laptop price did not show a significant influence. The value proposition is based on the results of this research, namely segmenting the market based on income level and adjusting product needs for each segment so that each product released can be right on target.

Abstract

Medical Check-Up (MCU) is one of the methods of early detection of metabolic and cardiovascular disorders. Computational analysis of MCU results data can be used to group individuals based on their risk profiles, thereby supporting more targeted promotive and preventive strategies. This study aims to identify the segmentation of individual groups based on the clinical parameters of MCU results using the K-Means clustering method, as well as evaluate the potential of each cluster as a target for health interventions, especially in the context of positioning preventive products or services. This study used secondary data on MCU results which included 13 variables: age, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, body mass index (BMI), total cholesterol, fasting blood sugar, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, urea, creatinine, uric acid, and gender from 294 sample data. The data was analyzed using the K-Means algorithm to group individuals based on the similarity of their health profiles. Cluster validation is carried out through clinical interpretation and the characteristics of each cluster center. From the results of the analysis, five clusters with different characteristics were produced. One of the prominent clusters is Cluster 2, consisting of middle-aged men (average 44 years old) with high levels of total cholesterol, LDL, and triglycerides, but blood pressure and blood sugar are still within normal limits. This condition indicates a moderate metabolic risk that is still reversible. This cluster is seen as strategic to be used as a target for the development of preventive health-based digital products and services. MCU outcome-based segmentation through the K-Means clustering method is effective in identifying specific health risk groups. Cluster 2 has great potential as the main target of preventive intervention programs because of its medical profile that can still be improved and psychographic characteristics that support acceptance of digital and promotional approaches

Abstract

The local food business sector in semi-urban areas such as Pringsewu, Lampung, is increasingly influenced by the complex and dynamic shifts in consumer preferences. A limited understanding of market segmentation has made it difficult for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to develop effective product and marketing strategies. Therefore, this study aims to identify consumer preference segmentation for food products using the K-Means Clustering method and statistical analysis with SPSS, with a case study in Pringsewu, Lampung. The resulting segmentation is expected to provide a more structured understanding of consumer characteristics and the potential for local food business development by MSMEs. Data were collected through an online questionnaire distributed via platforms such as Google Forms and shared across local community WhatsApp groups in Pringsewu. Respondents came from diverse occupational backgrounds, including civil servants, teachers, police officers, private sector employees, and entrepreneurs. The questionnaire consisted of three main sections: demographic data, food preferences, and business potential. The data analysis identified five distinct consumer clusters: Spicy Instan, a group that prefers spicy and ready-to-serve meals; Mama Fit & Fresh, health-conscious consumers who prioritize nutrition; Petualang Rasa, adventurous individuals drawn to culinary variety and new experiences; Mas-mas Hemat, a price-sensitive and practical segment, particularly active in the field; and Sultan Rasa, consumers who associate high-quality food with professional lifestyle aspirations. This study highlights the importance of marketing strategy differentiation based on consumer segmentation, enabling businesses to reach their target markets more effectively. The resulting segmentation provides strategic insights for food entrepreneurs and MSMEs in designing more targeted products and marketing approaches. ABSTRAK Persaingan usaha makanan lokal di daerah semi-perkotaan seperti Pringsewu, Lampung, semakin dipengaruhi oleh perubahan preferensi konsumen yang kompleks dan dinamis. Minimnya pemahaman terhadap segmentasi pasar menyebabkan pelaku UMKM kesulitan dalam merancang strategi produk dan pemasaran yang tepat sasaran.Untuk itu, penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi segmentasi preferensi konsumen terhadap produk makanan menggunakan metode K-Means Clustering dan analisis statistik dengan SPSS, dengan studi kasus di Pringsewu, Lampung. Segmentasi ini diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran yang lebih terstruktur mengenai karakteristik konsumen dan potensi pengembangan usaha makanan lokal oleh UMKM. Data dikumpulkan melalui survei kuisioner daring seperti Google Forms serta didistribusikan melalui media sosial seperti WhatsApp grup komunitas lokal masyarakat Pringsewu dengan responden berasal dari berbagai latar belakang seperti ASN, Guru, Polri, Karyawan Swasta hingga Wiraswasta. Kuisioner penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga bagian utama, yaitu Data Diri, Preferensi Makanan, dan Potensi Usaha. Analisis data menghasilkan lima klaster konsumen yang berbeda secara karakteristik, yaitu, Spicy Instan, kelompok yang menyukai makanan bercita rasa pedas dan mudah disajikan. Mama Fit & Fresh, konsumen yang memprioritaskan aspek kesehatan dan nutrisi dalam konsumsi pangan. Petualang Rasa, individu dengan ketertarikan tinggi terhadap variasi dan pengalaman kuliner baru. Mas-mas hemat, segmen yang mengutamakan efisiensi harga dan kepraktisan, terutama untuk aktivitas lapangan; dan Sultan Rasa, konsumen yang memilih produk makanan berkualitas tinggi sebagai bagian dari gaya hidup profesional. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya diferensiasi strategi pemasaran berdasarkan segmentasi konsumen, agar bisnis dapat secara optimal menjangkau target pasar yang sesuai. Segmentasi ini memberikan wawasan strategis bagi pelaku usaha maupun UMKM dibidang makanan dalam merancang produk dan strategi pemasaran yang lebih tepat sasaran.

Abstract

The rapid rise of digital banking adoption in Indonesia, particularly in the Jabodetabek metropolitan region, has created both opportunities and challenges for financial institutions. Although usage levels are high, many digital banks still struggle to align their product features with the behavioral patterns and expectations of their users. This study applies Python based K-Means Clustering to segment 139 active digital banking users using demographic and behavioral variables, including age, occupation, income, usage duration, transaction types, and communication channels. The clustering process generated four user segments: (1) The Practical Young Worker, (2) The Entertainment Oriented Digital Native, (3) The Civil Service Functionalist, and (4) The Mature Entertainer. Among these, Cluster 2 emerged as the dominant segment (45%), consisting primarily of young female digital natives aged 18–25 who heavily consume entertainment services and are highly responsive to social media-driven promotions. Based on this finding, the study identifies Gen Z urban females as the target persona and proposes an Online Value Proposition (OVP), “A fun, stylish, and reward driven digital banking experience tailored for digital natives.” This research emphasises the importance of data driven segmentation, persona development, and STP alignment in enhancing user engagement and loyalty within Indonesia’s digital banking ecosystem.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji bagaimana kearifan lokal Jawa pada filosofi "alon-alon waton kelakon" membentuk realitas finansial dan perilaku ekonomi para pekerja tambang bersuku Jawa di Kalimantan. Dengan pendekatan etnografi, penelitian ini menggali bagaimana nilai-nilai budaya Jawa berinteraksi dengan dinamika industri pertambangan yang sarat risiko dan peluang finansial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa filosofi "alon-alon waton kelakon" yang menekankan kehati-hatian, kecermatan, dan perencanaan jangka panjang, tercermin dalam pola konsumsi, menabung, dan investasi para pekerja tambang Jawa. Mereka cenderung memprioritaskan kebutuhan keluarga, mengalokasikan pendapatan untuk tabungan dan investasi, serta menghindari perilaku konsumtif yang impulsif. Kearifan lokal ini terbukti menjadi panduan berharga dalam mengelola keuangan di tengah ketidakpastian stabilitas pekerjaan di industri pertambangan, yang memungkinkan mereka membangun ketahanan finansial dan mencapai tujuan kesejahteraan jangka panjang. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan berharga tentang bagaimana kearifan lokal dapat berperan dalam membentuk perilaku ekonomi individu, serta memberikan implikasi praktis bagi program pendidikan literasi dan pemberdayaan finansial yang lebih efektif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyelidiki hubungan antara kualitas layanan servis dan kepuasan pelanggan dalam industri jasa servis dan kalibrasi alat survey geomatika di Jakarta. Dengan menggunakan analisis Binary Logistic Regression untuk mengevaluasi dampak tujuh faktor kualitas layanan (Keandalan, Responsiveness, Jaminan, Empati, Bukti Langsung, Harga Terjangkau, dan Harga Produk) terhadap probabilitas pelanggan menyatakan kepuasan. Hasil analisis mengungkapkan bahwa hanya dua faktor yang secara statistik signifikan mempengaruhi kepuasan pelanggan: Jaminan (p-value = 0.009) dan Harga Produk (p-value = 0.030). Model regresi prediktif yang dihasilkan, y = 1 / (1 + exp^(5.885 - 1.673X1 + 0.730X2)), menunjukkan hubungan yang menarik, bahwa peningkatan persepsi pelanggan terhadap Jaminan justru menurunkan probabilitas kepuasan, sementara peningkatan Harga Produk memiliki efek positif. Evaluasi model menggunakan classification table menunjukkan akurasi prediksi sebesar 75%, menunjukkan bahwa model tersebut cukup andal dalam mengklasifikasikan pelanggan ke dalam kategori puas atau tidak puas berdasarkan persepsi mereka terhadap Jaminan dan Harga Produk. Temuan ini memberikan wawasan yang berharga bagi perusahaan jasa servis dan kalibrasi tersebut, dan menyarankan bahwa perusahaan harus fokus pada strategi yang bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan Harga Produk dan secara hati-hati mengelola ekspektasi pelanggan terkait Jaminan untuk mencapai tingkat kepuasan pelanggan yang lebih tinggi.
