Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakter utama, Nadifa Ainayya, dalam novel Is He Really My Medicine? karya Rahmanida. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik analisis data yang memusatkan perhatian pada elemen-elemen pembentuk karakter dalam novel. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, Nadifa Ainayya digambarkan sebagai gadis dengan karakter yang kompleks. Dia memiliki pengalaman masa kecil yang traumatis karena perlakuan orang tua yang keras dan penuh tekanan yang membuatnya rentan, sering merasa rendah diri, mudah menangis, dan mengalami overthinking. Namun, dengan dukungan dari Khalif Izhar, kekasihnya, Nadifa perlahan-lahan bangkit dari keadaannya yang terpuruk. Perjalanan emosional dan perkembangan karakter Nadifa menjadi fokus utama, di mana dia ditampilkan sebagai tokoh protagonis yang mengalami transformasi signifikan sepanjang cerita. Artikel ini juga membahas interaksi faktor biologis dan lingkungan yang berperan dalam membentuk respons emosional dan perilaku Nadifa, dengan menggunakan pendekatan biopsikologi untuk menyoroti dampak dari interaksi ini terhadap kesehatan mentalnya. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam memahami struktur dan dinamika karakter dalam novel, serta membuka diskusi mengenai bagaimana karakter utama dapat mempengaruhi perkembangan alur cerita secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

Bahasa merupakan media yang digunakan oleh manusia untuk saling berinteraksi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Dalam perkembangan zaman, peneliti menyadari adanya suatu bentuk bahasa yang memadukan komedi dan sindiran untuk menyampaikan kritik sosial yang relevan dengan isu-isu terkini. Bahasa tersebut dapat disebut sebagai kosakta. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisa implikatur nonkonvensional dalam kosakta yang terkandung dalam percakapan pada program YouTube Lapor Pak! Edisi 2 September 2024 dengan jumlah tiga episode. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori implikatur nonkonvensional dalam kajian pragmatik. Pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif digunakan untuk menganalisa data percakapan. Metode simak dan catat diterapkan untuk mengumpulkan dan menganalisa data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat sebelas data percakapan yang mengandung implikatur non-konvensional. Implikatur nonkonvensional dalam kosakta pada program tersebut berfungsi sebagai kritik terhadap berbagai isu sosial dan politik dengan cara yang menarik dan menghibur.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kepribadian karakter utama, yaitu Caren dan Galang, dalam novel Unfold Stories of Caren Galang dengan menggunakan teori Enneagram. Fokus penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami tipe kepribadian kedua karakter utama dan hubungan di antara mereka yang dapat memengaruhi perkembangan psikologis masing-masing. Dengan menganalisis interaksi dan motivasi karakter melalui teori Enneagram, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan tentang pentingnya hubungan interpersonal dalam membentuk kepribadian, baik dalam konteks sastra maupun kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini digunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan penggabungan antara perspektif teori sastra dan psikologi analisis kepribadian teori Enneagram. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui studi pustaka, mencakup artikel jurnal ilmiah yang diakses melalui Google Scholar dan sumber literatur lain yang relevan, termasuk buku-buku yang membahas teori sastra dan psikologi kepribadian. Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa melalui perkembangan hubungan mereka, Caren dan Galang mengalami pertumbuhan kepribadian yang signifikan sesuai dengan teori Enneagram. Caren belajar menemukan kebahagiaan melalui penerimaan diri, sementara Galang mengembangkan empati dan dukungan dalam hubungan mereka, yang memperkuat hubungan antara Caren dan Galang serta saling menguatkan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of students' high-level thinking skills through the Discovery Learning learning model in improving explanatory text writing skills. Explanatory texts, which serve to explain phenomena logically and systematically, contribute to the development of students' critical and analytical mindsets. Through the Discovery Learning approach, students are directed to find cause-and-effect relationships independently, thereby increasing their cognitive involvement in understanding and writing explanatory texts. The study also highlights the importance of explicit learning strategies such as scaffolding, the use of text models, and reflective exercises to support writing skills. However, there are various challenges such as limited ability to organize ideas, lack of understanding of academic language, and low intrinsic motivation of students. The results of the study show that the implementation of the Discovery Learning learning model  has proven to be effective in improving skills in explanatory text writing because it encourages students to discover important concepts on their own through the process of active exploration. This study recommends the consistent integration of explanatory text-based approaches and Discovery Learning in educational practices to comprehensively improve students' academic literacy.

Abstract

The Feminism is a belief that men and women should have equal rights in politics, society, sexuality, intellect, and economics. Feminism encompasses movements, theories, philosophies, and everything related to gender equality with the goal of achieving justice for women.Women's Oppression has been a theme in many forms of literature including fairy tales. One of the famous fairy tales is Frau Holle, a fairy tale originating from Germany and collected by the Grimm Brothers in their collection entitled Children's and Household Tales (Kinder- und Hausmärchen). The formulation of the problem in this study is how is the oppression of women in the fairy tale Frau Holle? The purpose of this research is to analyze how the oppression of women in Frau Holle's fairy tales. The research method in this study is a qualitative method with content analysis techniques. There is oppression of women in this fairy tale which is done by differentiating women based on gender stereotypes, injustice in treatment, coercion and violence, and rewards and punishments. Based on the results of the analysis of Frau Holle's fairy tale, there are elements of oppression against women by teaching that women must follow certain rules to be appreciated, while those who do not obey the rules will be punished.Keywords: Feminism, Frau Holle’s Tale, Women’s Oppression

Abstract

The Marabose Festival is an annual cultural event in South Halmahera Regency, North Maluku, that serves as a platform for showcasing the region’s rich cultural diversity. The festival, which involves various indigenous and immigrant tribes, facilitates the preservation and transmission of cultural values through performances, rituals, and art exhibitions. Beyond its ceremonial function, the Marabose Festival plays a critical role in character education, intergenerational transmission of local wisdom, and dakwah efforts. This study aims to analyze the philosophical values inherent in the Marabose Festival within the framework of multicultural education, guided by the educational philosophy of Ki Hajar Dewantara. A qualitative descriptive approach was used, with data collected through document analysis, participatory observation, and in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, including festival organizers, educators, students, and parents. The findings suggest that the festival’s values align with Ki Hajar Dewantara’s Tri Center of Education, Merdeka Belajar, and Among Systems. The festival fosters cognitive growth by enhancing knowledge of ethnic and cultural diversity, encourages the development of an affective attitude towards tolerance and respect, and nurtures psychomotor skills through active participation in cultural preservation. Furthermore, the festival serves as an effective tool for communication and dakwah, promoting intercultural dialogue and fostering unity in diversity. In conclusion, the Marabose Festival offers a unique opportunity for integrating multicultural education based on local wisdom into the formal education system, promoting cultural identity, tolerance, and communal harmony.

Abstract

PKM yang berjudul ”Pelatihan Penulisan Artikel Ilmiah dan Artikel Populer Untuk Guru SMP di Surabaya Barat” ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman/pengetahuan para guru SMP di Surabaya Barat tentang artikel ilmiah dan populer serta meningkatkan kemampuan menulis artikel ilmiah dan populer yang sesuai aturan yang benar. Target PKM ini adalah guru-guru SMP di wilayah Surabaya Barat. Metode yang digunakan adalah pemberian materi dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode ceramah dari para pemateri. Metode selanjutnya yaitu melalui tanya jawab. Kemudian, untuk prosedur pelaksanaan pelatihan ini dapat dibagi menjadi beberapa tahap yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, tahap penutup, serta tahap evaluasi. Dari hasil evaluasi didapatkan hasil bahwa artikel peserta tidak memilki kesamaan atau bukan plagiat dari artikel lain seyelah dilakukan cek plagiarisme namun dalam hal kebahasaan masih terdapat beberapa kesalahan dalam ejaan dan penulisan kata

Abstract

The movie “Sundel Bolong” highlights the struggle of women in a patriarchal society through the character of Alisa, who faces moral and social dilemmas after becoming pregnant out of wedlock. Her transformation into Sundel Bolong illustrates an attempt to achieve existential freedom, despite having to pay with stigma and ostracization. This article uses a qualitative approach to analyze the value of feminism in the film, highlighting how women are portrayed as victims of the patriarchal system through experiences of sexual violence and betrayal. The film not only presents a horror story, but also offers insight into women's struggle against oppression, highlighting the duality of women as “angels” and “monsters” and criticizing traditional gender roles. Sundel Bolong's retaliation against her abuser becomes a symbol of resistance to patriarchy, while the theme of women's loss of existential freedom is central to the narrative.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and formulate an effective Contextual Based Learning (CBL) model in the context of Indonesian language learning. Through the literature study method of various scientific articles, this research analyzes the application of the contextual approach in improving students' language skills, especially in the aspects of writing, reading, and critical thinking. The results of the study show that CBL is able to link learning materials with students' life experiences, social environment, and culture, thus creating more meaningful, participatory, and applicable learning. CBL also demands the active role of teachers as facilitators who are able to design learning based on context and students' real experiences. However, the implementation of CBL faces several challenges such as limited learning resources, teacher training needs, and variations in students' abilities. Therefore, this article recommends the development of a systematic and comprehensive CBL learning model to support the Indonesian language learning process that is more relevant, adaptive, and has a positive impact on students' language skills. Abstract

This study examines Charlotte Lucas’ marriage in Pride and Prejudice through a Marxist-feminist lens. Elizabeth Bennet’s romantic autonomy is often celebrated. This study highlights Charlotte’s pragmatic marriage as a strategic response to the constraints of class and gender that interact with each other. This study aims to examine Charlotte Lucas's socio-economic choices in Pride and Prejudice from a Marxist-Feminist perspective, highlighting the relationship between social class, economy, and gender in marriage decision-making. Through a thematic reading supported by Fraser’s three-dimensional theory of economic, cultural, and political justice and Walby’s intersectional theory of systems of oppression, this study argues that Charlotte’s choices reflect constrained agency shaped by structural constraints rather than passive obedience. Austen’s narrative is interpreted as a critique of the capitalist-patriarchal order that governs women’s lives by positioning Charlotte not as a submissive individual but as a figure navigating the struggle to survive within an oppressive social framework. In conclusion, Charlotte Lucas’ socio-economic choices in the novel Pride and Prejudice reflect the condition of women who are structurally marginalized in a patriarchal and capitalist society, where marriage is the only safe path to survival. The implication is that Charlotte Lucas’ socio-economic choices reflect the reality of middle-class women constrained by patriarchal systems and economic pressures in 19th-century English society. Through a Marxist-Feminist perspective, this study highlights how marriage becomes a survival strategy driven by class inequality and women’s economic dependence on men.
