Abstract

This research is a study development that aims to develop an animated video-based learning media with guided inquiry learning models to increase students’ motivation and learning outcomes on chemical equilibrium materials that are valid, practical, and effective. The development model used in this study refers to the 4D development model, which consists of the defining stage, the design stage, the development stage, and the dissemination stage. The results of this study indicate that 1) the assessment of media validity by the media and material experts is in very valid category, 2) the responses of students and teachers to the learning media developed also received very high categories so that the media is stated as  practical, 3) The learning motivation of the class that uses animation media (MA) is also higher than the class that doesn’t use animation media (TMA) with a value of 81.33 and 71.41. In the field test phase to 33 students of the class MA and 32 of the class TMA students of SMAN 11 Makassar obtained class completeness by 84.8% and 75% respectively. Based on Mann Whitney-U test obtained the significance of the p value is smaller than α (0.014 < 0.05), which means there are differences between the two groups significantly. The animated video-based learning media that had been developed with 4D model is valid, practical, and effective to be applied in learning.

Abstract

This development research aims to develop an application-based learning media called the Edmodo application by adopting the Flipped Classroom learning model into learning to increase students' motivation and learning outcomes during the pandemic in Reaction Rate subject which is valid, practical, and effective. The development model used in this study referred to the Addie development model, which consisted of several stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The Edmodo media developed had conducted through the validation stage by validators/experts and had gone through trials, and had been revised by developers so resulted a learning media which is valid, practical, and effective. The results show that the developed Edmodo media has: (1) the media expert validation by 3.96 with very valid criteria, (2) the material expert validation by 3.83 with very valid criteria. Edmodo media is stated to be practical because in the practicality test related to: (1) its implementation in the Flipped Classroom learning model is at an average value of M = 1.98 with the category of fully implemented, (2) the teacher's response is very positive with a percentage of 97.00% with very practical criteria, and (3) the students' responses are very positive with a percentage of 83.69% with very practical criteria. The media also met the effectiveness criteria with the results: (1) there is a difference in the average students’ learning motivation before and after the trial and (2) the learning outcomes meet the effective criteria with a class completeness percentage of 84%.

Abstract

This is a research development. The objective of this study is to develop and discover the validity, practicality, and reliability of the science process skills (KPS) test on Acid Base material in class XI SMA/MA. The instrument development process uses the Plomp’s development model which consists of five phases which include: initial investigation, design, realization/construction, test, evaluation and revision, and implementation. The assessment instruments developed consisted of three aspects being assessed, namely cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. The trial was conducted at SMA Negeri 14 Gowa on students of class XI IPA 4. Validity is obtained based on the resulting validation value category of 2.4 < Ktg ≤ 3.2 so that the results of a valid science process skill assessment instrument were obtained. Reliability was calculated using the Kuder Richardson-20 formula (KR-20) and categorized based on established standards was obtained at 75%  so that the results of a reliable science process skill assessment instrument were obtained. Practicality was obtained from the analysis of the questionnaire responses of educators who gave very positive responses and based on the category of value generated by ≥ 61% so that the results of a practical science process skill assessment instrument were obtained. Therefore, science process skills assessment instrument developed has fulfilled aspects of validity, reliability, and practicality and can be used to assess students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Chemistry practicum of grade XI at SMAN in Gowa Regency. The method used is descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The study was conducted at all public high schools in Gowa Regency. The objects were the school’s principals, Chemistry teachers, and all grade XI MIPA students. Determination of the sample employed porposive sampling technique which was based on certain characteristics (schools accredited A, B, and C). Data collection techniques employed observation sheets, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study reveal that the average percentage of the availability of tools and materials to support the practicum implementation is 69%, which is in Appropriate category, while the implementation of Chemistry practicum seen from the average percentage of teachers’ response questionnaires is 84% which is in Very Good category, and the average percentage of the students’ response questionnaires is 80% which is in Good category. The result of the interviews can be concluded that the biggest obstacle to practicum implementation is the lack of availability of practicum tools and materials. The analysis results of the syllabus and lesson plans show that there are ten main subject materials for learning Chemistry. Nine of those main subject materials require practicum activities.

Abstract

ABSTRAKJenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Penemuan (Discovery Learning) terhadap Kesadaran Metakognisi dan Penguasaan Konsep Larutan Penyangga pada Peserta Didik Kelas XI IPA SMAS Makassar Raya. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI SMAS Makassar Raya tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik random sampling dan kelas yang terpilih adalah kelas XI IPA1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI IPA2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket untuk mengukur kesadaran metakognisi dan tes essay untuk mengukur pengusaan konsep peserta didik pada materi larutan penyangga. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensial dengan bantuan SPSS 20. Kesadaran metakognisi peserta didik yang dibelajarkan dengan model discovery learning memiliki rata-rata 80,05 dan standard deviasi 4,36 dan yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran langsung memiliki rata-rata 75,69 dan standard deviasi 5,30. Penguasaan konsep peserta didik yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran discovey learning memiliki rata-rata sebesar 62,22 dan standard deviasi sebesar 13,09 dan penguasaan konsep peserta didik yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran langsung memiliki rata-rata sebesar 42,43 dan standard deviasi sebesar 13,25. Hasil analisis inferensial secara umum bahwa untuk uji hipoteis yang dilakukan menunjukkan H0 diterima dan hipotesis H1 ditolak karena nilai sig 0,880 > 0,05. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) Model pembelajaran discovery learning berpengaruh terhadap kesadaran metakognisi peserta didik. (2) Model pembelajaran discovery learning berpengaruh terhadap penguasaan konsep larutan penyangga. (3) Tidak ada hubungan antara kesadaran metakognisi dengan penguasaan konsep peserta didik pada materi larutan penyangga. Kata kunci : Pembelajaran Penemuan, Metakognisi, Penguasaan Konsep. ABSTRACTThis type of research is a quasi-experimental study. This study aims to determine the influence of Discovery Learning Model on Metacognition Awareness and Mastery of Concept of Buffer Solution on Class XI Students of IPA SMAS Makassar Raya. The population of this study were all students of class XI SMAS Makassar Raya in the lesson year 2017/2018. Sampling was done by random sampling technique and the selected classes were class XI IPA1 as experimental class and class XI IPA2 as control class. The data were collected using questionnaires to measure metacognition awareness and essay tests to measure the concept of learners' learners on buffer solution materials. The data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially with the help of SPSS 20. Awareness of the metacognition of learners who were taught by the discovery learning model had an average of 80.05 and standard deviation of 4.36 and which was taught by direct learning had an average of 75.69 and standard deviation of 5, 30. Mastery of learners concept which is taught by discovey learning learning model has an average of 62,22 and standard deviation of 13,09 and mastery of learners concept which taught by direct learning have an average of 42,43 and standard deviation of 13, 25. The result of inferential analysis in general is that for hypothesis test performed H0 is accepted and hypothesis H1 is rejected because sig value is 0,880> 0,05. The results of this study indicate that (1) Learning discovery learning model affect the awareness of metacognition of learners. (2) Learning discovery learning model has an effect on the concept of buffer solution. (3) There is no correlation between metacognition awareness and mastery of learners' concepts on buffer solution materials. Keywords: Discovery Learning, Metacognition, Mastery of Concepts.

Abstract

This research is a development research that aims to develop RatuChemWeb in the Flipped Classroom learning model to increase students' motivation and learning outcomes on Acid and Base subject which is valid, practical, and effective to be used. RatuChemWeb media that had been developed was conducted the validation stage by the validators/experts and had gone through trials and had been revised by developers to produce learning media which were valid, practical, and effective. The results show that the development of RatuChemWeb media have: (1) the media expert’s validation by 3.96 which is very valid criteria; (2) the material expert’s validation by 3.68 which is very valid criteria. The RatuChemWeb media is stated as practical due to the practicality test related to (1) its implementation in the Flipped Classroom learning model gains an average value of M = 1.98 with the category of being fully implemented, (2) the teacher's response is very positive with a percentage of 98.92% with very practical criteria, and (3) the students' responses are very positive with a percentage of 84.02% with very practical criteria. The media also meets the effective criteria with the results: (1) based on the Wilcoxon test, it obtains the significance value of p-value smaller than (0.000 < 0.05), which means there is a difference in the average students’ learning motivation before and after learning by using the RatuChemWeb media in the Flipped Classroom learning model with the increase of students' learning motivation from 60.83% to 74.72% and (2) the class completeness is 82% and the average value of N-Gain is 77% which is in high category.

Abstract

This study is a development research that aims to develop practicum guidelines of green chemistry-based reaction rate that are valid, practical, and effective. The    research procedure employed the ADDIE development model, which consisted of the analysis stage, design stage, development stage, implementation stage, and evaluation stage. The practicum guidelines was validated by two experts. Then it was tried out in XI IPA 1 class and XI IPA 2 class at MAN Tana Toraja. The results showed that the average level of validity of practicum guidelines of green chemistry-based reaction rate was stated to be very valid and feasible to use. The practicality test includes: (1) the implementation of practicum guide learning is in class XI IPA 1 aspects and the observed criteria are in the perfected category, (2) Student responses show that practicum guides are in the very practical category and (3) The teacher's response to the guide practicum is in the very practical category. In addition, the green chemistry-based reaction rate practicum guide that was developed was effective in terms of, (1) students' learning interest was in the moderate category, (2) Learning outcomes of students in XI IPA 1 class and XI IPA 2 class met the criteria for being effective.

Abstract

This development research aims to produce a flipbook-based e-module that is valid, practical, and effective. The model used is the Hannafin & Peck’s development model adapted by Tegeh which consists of a needs assessment stage, a design, and a development and implementation. The three stages involving an evaluation and revision stage. The instruments used to test the validity: e-module validation sheet, practicality test: implementation observation sheet, teacher and students’ response questionnaire and effectiveness test: motivation questionnaire and learning outcomes test. Sources of validity data were 2 expert validators, the practicality were 2 chemistry teachers and 33 students of grade XI IPA 1 at SMAN 09 Bombana as well as the effectiveness. The e-module is stated to be valid based on the validation results with an average value of 3.52 (very valid). The e-module has met the practicality criteria because the practicality test related to: (1) the implementation of the e-module with an average value of M = 1.88 (entirely conducted categories) ; (2) positive teachers’ responses 93.23%, which is (very practical criteria), and (3) positive students’ responses 88.30% (very practical criteria). E-modules are stated to be effective based on the motivation and learning outcomes of students. The increase in students' learning motivation obtained an average N-Gain in moderate category by 0.57, while the learning outcomes obtained the percentage of class completeness by 87.88%. Therefore, the results of the study indicate that the flipbook-based e-module has valid, practical, and effective qualities.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh macromedia pada Model Pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X IPA SMA Negeri 6 Bontoa Maros. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas X IPA1 terpilih sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diajar dengan menggunakan macromedia pada model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dan kelas X IPA2 terpilih sebagai kelas kontrolyang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT tanpa menggunakan macromedia. Berdasarkan uji t diperoleh thitung yaitu 2,79 lebih besar dari ttabel yaitu 1,99 dengan nilai rata-rata adalah 77,28 dan standar deviasi yaitu 12,43 sedangkan siswa pada kelas kontrol dengan nilai rata-rata yaitu 68,63 dan standar deviasi yaitu 14,10. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini ada pengaruh positif penggunaan macromedia pada model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMAN 6 Bontoa Maros ABSTRACT This study was an experimental study that aims to determine whether there is influence of Macromedia on TGT type of cooperative learning model to the results of class X student IPA at SMAN 6 Bontoa Maros. Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media unocard dalam model problem based learning terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Pakue. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah “pretest posttest-only control group design”. Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Pakue yang terdiri dari lima kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu simple random sampling. Data hasil belajar yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai rata-rata N-Gain peserta didik kelas eksperimen 0,69 dan kelas kontrol 0,62. Hasil pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney diperoleh nilai Zhitung= 2,01 dan pada taraf signifikan α = 0,05 diperoleh Ztabel = 1,64. Oleh karena itu, Zhitung >Ztabel. Terdapat pengaruh media unocard dalam model problem based learning terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Pakue pada materi pokok asam-basa.
