Abstract

One of the primary determinants of students' academic achievement is parental involvement, which encompasses various forms such as emotional support, academic supervision, and participation in school activities. Previous studies have shown that (1) parental involvement has a significant positive correlation with students' academic performance, and (2) parent-school interaction contributes to an increase in student motivation. However, most of these studies have primarily focused on public schools and have not sufficiently addressed the context of religiously based Education, such as madrasahs. In reality, Education in madrasahs presents different challenges and characteristics, including the implementation of a dual curriculum (religious and general), unique social relationship patterns, and diverse forms of community participation. Therefore, this study aims to examine (1) the forms of parental involvement in supporting the improvement of Education quality in madrasahhs, and (2) the strategies employed by madrasahhs to encourage active parental involvement. This research uses a qualitative research design with a multi-case approach. The research subjects are state and private madrasah ibtidaiyah (Islamic elementary schools) located in the city of Malang. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. Data analysis was followed by within-case and cross-case analysis stages using the constant comparative method. The research results indicate that: (1) the forms of parental involvement in supporting the improvement of Education quality in madrasahhs include: (a) donating livestock for Eid al-Adha celebrations, (b) family gatherings, (c) cooking class activities, (d) providing ideas or suggestions for program planning, (e) participation in Outing Class activities, (f) assisting children with studying at home, and (g) going beyond just homework help. (2) The strategies used to encourage parental involvement include: (a) creating a conducive school environment, (b) involving parents in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of school activities, (c) establishing intensive communication, (d) implementing principles of transparency and accountability in the execution of school programs, (e) designing school activities that benefit parents, and (f) fostering a positive attitude among all school members towards students and their parents.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan meninjau secara sistematis literatur mengenai implementasi kebijakan Merdeka Belajar–Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) dan Kurikulum Merdeka di Indonesia. Kajian dilakukan dengan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) menggunakan protokol PRISMA. Dari tahap identifikasi diperoleh 26 artikel, 18 artikel diseleksi, 9 artikel memenuhi kriteria kelayakan, dan 5 artikel dianalisis lebih lanjut. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa kebijakan MBKM di perguruan tinggi memberi ruang fleksibilitas melalui kegiatan magang, penelitian, dan proyek sosial, yang berkontribusi pada penguatan keterampilan abad ke-21 mahasiswa. Sementara itu, Kurikulum Merdeka di sekolah dasar dan menengah menekankan otonomi guru serta penguatan literasi digital, namun masih menghadapi tantangan berupa kesenjangan digital dan keterbatasan kesiapan pedagogis. Secara umum, mahasiswa dan guru memiliki persepsi positif terhadap kebijakan ini, meskipun implementasi masih terhambat oleh keterbatasan infrastruktur, minimnya sosialisasi, serta kesenjangan antara sekolah perkotaan dan pedesaan. Sintesis temuan menegaskan bahwa keberhasilan kebijakan sangat ditentukan oleh konsistensi antara desain kebijakan, kapasitas kelembagaan, dukungan sosial, serta strategi afirmatif bagi wilayah tertinggal. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya kebijakan multi-level yang memperkuat dukungan infrastruktur, pelatihan guru, kepemimpinan akademik, dan sistem penjaminan mutu agar tujuan SDG 4: Quality Education dapat tercapai.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of digital learning policies and professional learning communities (PLC) on the quality of education, with teacher performance as a mediating variable. The research method used is quantitative with the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. Data was collected through questionnaires from teachers at various levels of education and analyzed using SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results of the study show that digital learning policies and PLC have a significant effect on teacher performance and directly on the quality of education. In addition, teacher performance has proven to be a significant mediating variable in the relationship between digital policy and PLC on the quality of education. The structural model built has high explainability, with an R² of 0.844 for education quality and 0.762 for teacher performance. These findings affirm the importance of digital policy integration and strengthening PLC in improving the quality of education through the central role of teachers. The recommendations are directed at strengthening digital literacy, facilitating teacher professional collaboration, and improving the technology-based learning evaluation system.

Abstract

Community service activities with the theme of training in developing teaching modules based on the implementation of the "Merdeka" curriculum for elementary school teachers in the Bantur District, Malang Regency. The objectives of this activity are to assist teachers in developing teaching modules based on the implementation of the "Merdeka" curriculum, to assess the performance level of the resource persons, and to assess the performance level of the organizing committee. The community service activities were conducted through several methods including lectures, discussions, Q&A sessions, modeling, demonstrations, Problem-Based Learning (PBL), and assignments. Participants consisted of 103 teachers from grades 2 and 5. Supporting instruments for this community service include pre-test and post-test sheets, and program evaluation questionnaires. The training material covers the implementation of the "Merdeka" curriculum, characteristics of learning in the "Merdeka" curriculum, and the development of assessment instruments for student learning outcomes. The results of this training indicate a 35.7% improvement in teachers' ability to develop teaching modules, 56.31% performance level of the resource persons in assisting participants categorized as good, and 74.76% performance level of the organizing committee categorized as very good.

Abstract

Educational Policy Evaluation: How Educational Assistance Affects PISA through School Resources, Teacher Learning, and Student Well-Being. Objectives: This research aims to determine the effect of educational assistance policies provided by the government on school resources, teacher learning, and Student Well-Being conditions on PISA achievements. The simultaneous influence of school resources, Student Well-Being, and teacher learning on PISA. As well as the influence of educational assistance policies on PISA itself and through moderating school resource variables, Student Well-Being, and teacher learning. Methods: This type of research uses an explanatory type with a quantitative approach. Regency/city locations include Ponorogo, Tuban, Tulungagung, Banyuwangi, Surabaya City, and Malang City. This research took a population of high school and vocational school students in East Java Province with a sample size of 560 students with sampling using stratified random sampling, area proportional random sampling, and quota random sampling techniques. The data analysis used is SEM (Structural Equation Modeling). Findings: Education aid policies have a direct influence on school resources, teacher learning, student well-being, and PISA performance. Student well-being and teacher learning have a direct effect on PISA performance but school resources do not have a direct effect on PISA performance. The results of the indirect effect calculation show that the education aid policy has no effect on PISA through school resources and student well-being, but has an indirect effect through student well-being. The results of simultaneous direct and indirect calculations of educational assistance policies, school resources, teacher learning, and student well-being have an influence on PISA achievement. Conclusion: The educational assistance policies provided affect school resources, teacher learning performance and student well-being. Abstract

The objective of this study is to identify and determine the level and impact of the entrepreneurship curriculum and self-efficacy on students' entrepreneurial intentions. This research employs a quantitative approach, utilizing descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression with partial t-tests and simultaneous f-tests. The study involves a sample of 100 students from faculties of Mathematics and Science (FMIPA), Engineering (FT), Education (FIP), and Letters (FS) at Universitas Negeri Malang. The sample size was determined using quota sampling, which provides researchers the flexibility to decide the number of participants. First, the entrepreneurship curriculum, manifested through entrepreneurship education, was rated as "Very Good". Second, students' self-efficacy was classified as "Very Good". Third, students' entrepreneurial intentions were classified as "Good". Fourth, the entrepreneurship curriculum variable significantly influences students' entrepreneurial intentions. Fifth, the self-efficacy variable significantly influences students' entrepreneurial intentions. Sixth, the simultaneous testing of the entrepreneurship curriculum and self-efficacy variables revealed a significant combined effect on students' entrepreneurial intentions.

Abstract

Kebijakan Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) mulai diterapkan secara nasional pada tahun 2025 sebagai upaya pemerintah untuk meningkatkan pemenuhan gizi peserta didik dan mendukung proses belajar yang optimal. Implementasi kebijakan ini membawa konsekuensi terhadap berbagai layanan pendukung di sekolah, salah satunya manajemen layanan khusus kantin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak kebijakan MBG terhadap manajemen layanan kantin di SMA Negeri 2 Malang, sekolah yang telah lama mengimplementasikan konsep “kantin sehat”. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi terhadap kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, pengelola kantin, dan peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebijakan MBG memengaruhi operasional kantin, terutama dalam menurunkan frekuensi pembelian makanan berat oleh peserta didik karena sebagian kebutuhan gizi telah dipenuhi melalui program MBG. Namun, penjualan makanan ringan dan minuman tetap stabil karena menjadi alternatif siswa saat menunggu pembagian MBG atau ketika menu yang disediakan tidak sesuai selera. Selain itu, integrasi MBG dengan layanan kantin mendorong sekolah untuk menyesuaikan variasi menu, memperkuat pengawasan mutu makanan, serta meningkatkan koordinasi dengan puskesmas dan pihak terkait. Di sisi lain, pendistribusian MBG berpotensi mengganggu proses belajar mengajar apabila datang tidak sesuai jadwal. Secara keseluruhan, kebijakan MBG berdampak ganda pada layanan kantin: menuntut penyesuaian manajerial sekaligus memperkuat praktik kantin sehat dalam menyediakan makanan higienis, aman, dan bergizi bagi siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi kebijakan kurikulum merdeka di MIS Nurul Hidayah Fogi, Kabupaten Kepulauan Sula. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan Teknik pengumpulan data melalui kuesioner yang diberikan kepada seluruh guru di sekolah tersebut. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa implementasi kurikulum merdeka berada pada kategori sangat tinggi pada seluruh indikator yang diukur, meliputi pemahaman guru, perencanaan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran, asesmen, tantangan, serta dukungan sekolah. Guru telah menunjukkan kesiapan dalam menerapkan prinsip-prinsip kurikulum merdeka, termasuk pembelajaran yang fleksibel dan berpusat pada peserta didik. Dukungan sekolah melalui pelatihan, bimbingan dari kepala sekolah, ketersediaan sarana juga berperan penting dalam memperkuat pelaksanaan kurikulum. Meskipun demikian, tantangan masih muncul pada aspek pemanfaatan teknologi pembelajaran akibat keterbatasan kompetensi digital dan akses internet. Kondisi ini mengindikasikan perlunya penguatan kemampuan teknologi bagi guru agar pelaksanaan kurikulum semakin optimal. Secara keseluruhan, temuan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa kesiapan guru, dukungan sekolah, dan kompetensi teknologi merupakan faktor utama yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan implementasi kurikulum merdeka di satuan pendidikan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas implementasi kebijakan Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter di TK Pembina Negeri 1 Kota Malang. Permasalahan penelitian berfokus pada bagaimana kebijakan tersebut direncanakan, dilaksanakan, dan dievaluasi dalam membentuk karakter anak usia dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses implementasi serta faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebijakan Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter diimplementasikan melalui pembiasaan, keteladanan guru, kegiatan pembelajaran tematik, serta dukungan lingkungan sekolah yang kondusif. Evaluasi dilakukan secara rutin melalui pengamatan perkembangan perilaku anak dan keterlibatan orang tua. Meskipun terdapat beberapa kendala eksternal, secara keseluruhan pelaksanaan kebijakan berjalan efektif dan berkontribusi positif terhadap pembentukan karakter peserta didik.

Abstract

This study explores research trends on quality education within the Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) framework and the 2030 Agenda. This study uses a bibliometric analysis approach to identify key publication developments from 2020 to 2024. The data was retrieved from Scopus-indexed journals and analyzed using R and VOSviewer software. The study's analysis encompassed 442 relevant articles, meticulously interpreted according to the established criteria. The findings of this study indicate an increase in the number of publications each year (except 2021), with almost all types of scientific papers being articles (70%) in Social Science studies as the largest field of study. The study also interprets the number of publications and the impact of scientific papers through citations containing the source of articles, authors, institutions, and countries with fluctuations in each criterion. The frequently utilized keywords can be categorized into eight color clusters, demonstrating the keyword usage level. The study's limitations are evident in its periodization, approach, and data distribution. Notwithstanding these limitations, the study offers pertinent implications for establishing new trends in future research. In particular, in the fields of research, public policy, and education, the findings of this study have significance for improving the quality of education at every level, from schools to universities.
