Abstract

Tourism is a strategic sector that contributes significantly to economic growth and regional development, but the COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on tourism activities, including educational and conservation-based tourist destinations. This study aims to analyze the tourist attraction and visitor satisfaction at Kasang Kulim Zoo (KKZ), Kampar Regency, Riau Province, in the post-COVID-19 pandemic period. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results show that the appeal of KKZ is shaped by the diversity of its animal collection, educational and conservation values, natural environment, and family tourism experiences. Post-pandemic visitor satisfaction is influenced by the quality of facilities, cleanliness, comfort, safety, and the alignment between expectations and tourism experiences. Although visitor numbers show a recovery trend, challenges remain in terms of accessibility and facility management. Additionally, the presence of KKZ has a positive impact on the economic recovery of local MSMEs, making sustainable tourism management key to post-pandemic destination development.

Abstract

So far, efficiency tends to be a very important issue for discussion. Therefore, such a topic needs attention. This is crucial when it is related syariah banking industry development. In that case, the best performance of shraiah banking can be reached sot hat it has high competitive power in national banking industry. Besides that, it is also expected to be able for expanding the market share. Using the non-parametric method of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), this study investigates the recent efficiency of the Islamic Banking operations in Indonesia over the period 2005 to 2007. The attributions of technical efficiency (utilization of capacity) and scale efficiency (optimality of scale achieved) are identified. The principal findings for the period under study indicate that technical and scale efficiency scores are improving but not optimal 100% during research period. The findings provide useful guidelines for policy implications and may also assist banks concerned with their strategic planning with regard to the future of Islamic banking

Abstract

Background: Poor management of human resources can lead to employee discomfort in the workplace, resulting in reduced productivity and diminished benefits for the company. Thus, effective human resource management is crucial to fostering a conducive work environment that enables employees to thrive. Enhanced employee productivity can significantly contribute to the company's advancement. Purpose: This study investigates the impact of work stress and organizational commitment on turnover intention, with job satisfaction as an intervening variable at PT. Jakarta AquariumDesign/methodology/approach: This research method is quantitative causality, using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) assisted by the Smart PLS statistical method (PLS-SEM) and a Likert measurement scale. Findings/Result: The results in this study show that work stress has a positive and significant effect on turnover intention, while organizational commitment has a positive and significant impact on turnover intention. Another friend revealed that work stress has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, and organizational commitment has a positive and significant impact on job satisfaction. Job satisfaction has a negative and significant effect on turnover intention, while organizational commitment has a positive and significant impact on turnover intention through job satisfaction. Organizational commitment influences turnover intention through satisfaction as an intervening variable. Fascinatingly, this study reveals that job-related stress does not diminish employee satisfaction, as stress can serve as a challenge, a stimulus, and a source of fascination for employees. Conclusion: Work stress demonstrates a significant positive impact on turnover intention. Organizational commitment exhibits a positive and statistically significant effect on turnover intention. Additionally, work stress is found to have a positive and important influence on job satisfaction, and organizational commitment similarly has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction.Originality/value (State of the art): The research uses job satisfaction which acts as a mediating variable that provides new academic insights into human resource strategies related to issues of employee retention and organizational stability. Abstract

The research aims to identify the influence of the shipmaster leadership style and logistics management on the operational performance of tanker ships, which is mediated by the performance of the Ship's Crew. The research used a sample of 30 tanker and ship crew members at the Indonesian national shipping company PT. Waruna Nusa Sentana. The data analysis method applies a path analysis model to test direct and indirect effects. The research results show that leadership style, logistics management, and crew performance partially influence Ship operational performance. Leadership style and logistics management are also proven to influence crew performance directly. The captain's leadership style and logistics management indirectly affect the Ship's operational performance through the performance of the Ship's Crew. Overall, the operating performance of tankers at the shipping company PT. Waruna Nusa Sentana is influenced by the captain's leadership style, ship logistics management, and crew performance, both directly and indirectly. Abstract

SMK Islamic Village Tangerang merupakan sekolah kejuruan yang memiliki visi menciptakan muslim Indonesia yang memiliki intelektual dan berjiwa da’wah. Sekolah ini memiliki keunggulan dalam penerapan kurikulum berbasis Merdeka Belajar yang dipadukan dengan pendidikan ciri khas Islamic Village yakni learning management system Schoology enterprise. Pada penerapan proses pembelajaran tersebut tentu menghadapi tantangan khususnya dalam mengembangkan narasi visual yang efektif bagi siswa. Identifikasi masalah pada observasi awal yang dilakukan terdapat permasalahan pada keterampilan teknis, public speaking, dan pemahaman struktur narasi yang dimiliki oleh para siswa pada proses pembelajaran. Untuk itu dilakukan kegiatan pemberdayaan kemitraan masyarakat berupa program penguatan kompetensi melalui kegiatan seminar, diskusi, dan pelatihan praktik yang bertujuan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam proses belajar pembelajaran. Adapun beberapa tahapan yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan ini yakni observasi kondisi awal, pelatihan transfer knowledge, dan evaluasi. Dari para siswa yang dilakukan wawancara menyatakan bahwasanya kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat dan mendapatkan apresiasi positif, hal tersebut didukung dengan hasil post test yang dilakukan setelah kegiatan yang mencapai nilai rata-rata peningkatan kompetensi keseluruhan sebesar 27,9%. Berdasarkan data tersebut maka pihak sekolah berharap kegiatan ini dapat diteruskan dengan kolaborasi berikutnya. Pada kegiatan juga ini menghasilkan target luaran berupa peningkatan kemampuan sebesar 92,7%, publikasi dalam bentuk video, poster, dan artikel berita, serta juga berupa artikel ilmiah dan juga hak cipta yang dapat dipertanggungjawabkan. Program yang telah dilaksanakan menjadi langkah penting membekali siswa agar mampu menghadapi perkembangan teknologi yang pesat di era digital.

Abstract

The Development of information technology, particularly the internet and smartphones, has created new opportunities for non-profit organizations, including leveraging crowdfunding platforms to support social initiatives. This study analyzes the communication strategies employed by the NGO Sekolah Relawan in its crowdfunding campaign for Palestine on the website baikutumudah.com. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis with purposive sampling techniques. The findings reveal that Sekolah Relawan successfully implemented the concept of effective communication strategies developed by Ronald Smith, encompassing situational analysis, organizational analysis, public analysis, setting objectives and goals, formulating strategic actions in response, utilizing effective communication, selecting communication tactics, implementing strategic planning, and evaluating strategic planning.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of using digital maps on the understanding of spatial concepts among elementary school students. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design (non-equivalent control group design). The subjects of this study were 16 fifth-grade students at SDN 35/III Tambak Tinggi, divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group received learning using digital maps integrated into the IPS (Social Science) subject matter, while the control group received conventional learning using printed maps. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test instruments designed to measure students' understanding of spatial concepts, including the ability to read directions, identify symbols, determine scale, and understand spatial relationships. Data analysis employed paired t-test and independent t-test statistics. The results showed a significant difference in spatial concept understanding scores between the experimental and control groups (p < 0.05). The average N-Gain score of the experimental group (0.67) was higher than the control group (0.38), indicating that digital maps are more effective in improving spatial concept understanding. These findings suggest that the use of digital maps as a learning medium can significantly enhance students' spatial thinking ability. Practical implications include the recommendation for teachers to integrate digital map-based technology in IPS learning at the elementary school level to support the development of geographic and spatial literacy in the 21st century.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of contextual learning on elementary students' understanding of national economic concepts. Understanding economic concepts at the elementary level is fundamental for shaping students' financial literacy and economic awareness as they grow into adulthood. However, economics-related material in social studies is often taught abstractly and disconnected from students' everyday experiences, resulting in low conceptual understanding. Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) is an approach that connects subject matter with real-life situations experienced by students, encouraging them to construct knowledge through direct experience rather than memorization. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest model. The research was conducted at SD Negeri 35/III Tambak Tinggi, involving a fifth-grade class consisting of 16 students as the research subject. Data were collected through a conceptual understanding test administered before and after the implementation of the contextual learning approach, then analyzed using a paired sample t-test with the assistance of statistical software. The results indicate that the average posttest score (82.19) was significantly higher than the average pretest score (61.56), with a significance value of p < 0.05, indicating that contextual learning has a significant effect on students' understanding of national economic concepts. These findings imply that linking economic material with students' daily life contexts, such as buying and selling activities, household needs, and local economic phenomena, can strengthen meaningful learning and long-term conceptual retention. This study recommends that elementary school teachers integrate contextual strategies more intensively in social studies and economics instruction to build a strong foundation of economic literacy from an early age.

Abstract

The development of the capital market has an influence on a country's economic growth, but the Covid-19 pandemic has caused fluctuations in the stock market, especially the sharia stock market in Indonesia. These fluctuations are accompanied by return volatility due to strong pressure in some sectors and rapid growth in other sectors. The aim of this research is to analyze the impact of the Covid-19 incident on the Islamic capital market in Indonesia through an analysis of the formation and evaluation of the performance of an optimal portfolio of Islamic shares using a sectoral approach for one year before and one year during Covid-19. The portfolio formation method uses the Single Index Model (SIM), and performance testing uses the Sharpe Ratio. The secondary data used are weekly closing stock prices and weekly ISSI closing points from March 3, 2019, to February 28, 2022, with the SR011 Retail Sukuk yield as a reference for risk-free asset returns. There was an increase in return performance and the composition of shares that formed an optimal portfolio due to the general response of securities to increasing market performance, which led to positive figures during Covid-19. The portfolio's Sharpe ratio performance always outperformed market performance in both research periods, with the sectors showing the best performance coming from the financial, energy, and technology sectors. Based on the statistical difference test on the Sharpe ratio, it is known that the Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the Islamic capital market. Investors are advised to be careful in choosing the right sectors during an economic downturn, while authorities are advised to anticipate policies that strengthen vulnerable sectors and prepare sectors that will become the foundation of the economy in times of crisis.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) melalui Program Inovasi Seni Nusantara ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi permasalahan keterbatasan ergonomi, durabilitas, dan kualitas visual pada properti tari konvensional yang digunakan oleh Yayasan Ayodya Pala di Depok. Properti tari tradisional saat ini umumnya berbahan logam yang berat (1,5–2,5 kg) atau bahan karton/busa yang mudah rusak saat pemakaian dan mobilisasi. Solusi yang ditawarkan meliputi rekayasa Digital Craftsmanship melalui tahapan 3D scanning, digital modeling (CAD), pencetakan 3D printing berbasis material PLA/Resin, penerapan sistem modular, serta digitalisasi inventaris aset tari. Pendekatan kegiatan menggunakan metode Participatory Action Research (PAR) dan Design Thinking yang melibatkan mitra secara aktif sebagai co-creator. Selain manufaktur properti, dilakukan pula pelatihan Digital Craftsmanship bagi pengurus dan penari sanggar guna meningkatkan literasi teknologi dan kemandirian pengelolaan properti. Hasil program menunjukkan terciptanya purwarupa properti tari yang lebih ringan (penurunan bobot 30–50%), presisi, dan tahan lama, serta peningkatan kenyamanan penari dan kapasitas teknis mitra dalam merawat dan mereproduksi komponen properti secara mandiri
