Abstract

The current education industry in Indonesia continues to grow and competition is getting tougher so that more and more universities are competing to be able to provide better academic services to get students or prospective students. To be able to win the competition, universities must be able to provide maximum service quality. Good service will certainly make students feel comfortable and at home in the learning process at college so that it can reduce the number of students who stop studying, leave and drop out. Academic services as the core of business in universities must certainly be improved in order to increase the number of students who will enter the University. If the university does not know what the student's problems / obstacles are in the lecture process, it will certainly be difficult to find reasons why students drop out or why students leave. The purpose of this study is to create an academic service system for student complaints. It is hoped that the upper management of higher education can find out what problems / obstacles students are facing from the start so that they can prevent students from dropping out of college by providing correct solutions according to student needs.

Abstract

In the current covid 19 pandemic, where a lot of business businesses are experiencing difficulties, including course institutions and tutoring. Many tutoring teachers have been sent home. Online Tutoring platforms such as Ruangguru are very popular with the public. The purpose of this research is to create a MOOC Massively Open Online Course platform which is an important innovation in the world of education. By using the live streaming feature, it allows students to learn directly with tutoring teachers directly. Massively Open Online Course/ MOOC provides a way for more independent education. This MOOC is very good if applied in Jambi city which has a limited number of teachers.

Abstract

E-Learning is an approach to developing knowledge, skills, and competencies through internet technology-based facilities. E-Learning allows teaching materials to be conveyed to students via the internet, intranet or other computer network media. Mts Al Falah Pancuran is a school located in a remote area on the border between Jambi province and South Sumatra province. In this area there is no internet network so that it attacks teachers in finding references to make material as learning materials and challenges students to find references for learning. Build a web-based E-Learning application and implement it using the Nodejs web programming language, for database management using mongodb and its creation using the waterfall method which includes analysis, design, implementation and testing. From the results of the analysis and interviews the researcher tried to apply the web-based E-Learning concept by making one of the existing computers a server for the E-Learning application using a Local Area Network (LAN) network, so that the application can still be accessed even without an internet network because the application is running. On a computer that has functioned as a server and accessed by client computers in the same network.

Abstract

Thesis advisory is an essential process in students' academic journey; however, issues often arise during its implementation, such as the forgery of the advisor's signature and the advisors being unaware of the progress of the thesis.This study aims to investigate the implementation of the Agile methodology in the context of information system development, with a specific focus on the final thesis advisory process within higher education institutions. The Agile methodology, with its iterative approach and active involvement of relevant stakeholders, can provide greater flexibility in dealing with changing requirements, which often arise in the final thesis advisory process. Furthermore, this methodology enables the creation of sustainable information systems and improved testing, which are essential elements in ensuring higher quality and user satisfaction. This research involves an analysis of the enhancement of student thesis monitoring in the higher education environment. The results of this study are expected to provide valuable insights for higher education institutions looking to improve their final thesis advisory processes by leveraging the Agile approach in information system development. Additionally, this research may contribute to a deeper understanding of the effectiveness of the Agile methodology in the higher education environment, aiming to improve efficiency, quality, and satisfaction among users, including program heads, faculty, and students in the final thesis advisory process.

Abstract

Pengukuran kualitas website Awicoffee dilakukan dengan tujuan agar pemilik website bisa mengembangkan aspek yang memiliki nilai rendah sehingga bisa terus berkembang seiring dengan zaman. Data yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini adalah hasil pembagian kuisioner yang diberikan kepada 100 responden. Pengukuran kualitas website dilakukan dengan metode webqual 4.0 dengan 3 aspek yang dinilai yaitu Kegunaan,Kualitas Informasi dan Kualitas Interaksi Layanan. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui nilai kepuasan pengguna website Awicoffee dan menentukan instrumen yang paling signifikan dalam menentukan kepuasan pengguna. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa ketiga variabel tersebut memiliki pengaruh sebesar 76,59% terhadap kepuasan pengguna, sedangkan 23,41% dipengaruhi oleh variabel yang tidak diteliti. Dan juga variabel yang paling berpengaruh terhadap kepuasan pengguna adalah Kualitas Informasi dengan nilai 5,97 sedangkan untuk variabel Kegunaan memiliki nilai 3,42 dan untuk variabel Kualitas Interaksi Layanan memiliki nilai 3,30.

Abstract

Generation Y was born in 1977-1994 (Pramesty & Simanjuntak, 2020). The main characteristic of Generation Y is that they actively use the internet and technology to help fulfill their needs, include daily consumption goods. Generation Y is prefers online shopping than conventional. Indonesia, a Muslim-majority country, has much Muslims Generation Y and has high demand for halal products that can be purchased online. The purpose of this research is to analyze the factors that influence the consumption of halal industrial products in Indonesia. The data were analyzed by using multiple linear regressions. The results of the regression test showed that had a positive/significant effect in income, yet no effect in academic qualifications. The dummy variables of gender, occupation, marital status and purchased products showed that there was no difference. Income has a positive/significant influence on the consumption pattern of Generation Y towards products in the halal industry in Indonesia. While the academic achievement variable and the four dummy variables namely gender, occupation, marital status and purchased products, who buy products through online shops, marketplaces and e-commerce do not have a positive/significant influence on the pattern of consumption in generation Y.

Abstract

Dalam kegiatannya SMKN 4 Kota Jambi berada dibawah naungan Kementrian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan. SMKN 4 Kota Jambi memiliki 4 program keahlian yaitu Boga/Kuliner, Tata Busana, Perhotelan dan Kecantikan. Program tersebut diharapkan dapat membentuk siswa untuk bisa berwirausaha secara nasional dan international sesuai dengan tujuan dari visi dan misi SMKN 4 Kota Jambi, yang dilaksanakan dalam kegiatan PRAKERIN. Sistem PRAKERIN yang sedang berjalan masih dilakukan secara konvensional sehingga masih ditemukan beberapa kendala seperti kendala pada informasi prakerin, proses pendaftaran, pengisian buku jurnal dan proses penilaian. Oleh karena itu diperlukan sebuah sistem informasi PRAKERIN (E-Prakerin) berbasis web untuk menangani kegiatan PRAKERIN di SMK N 4 Kota Jambi guna menunjang kegiatan Hubin (Hubungan Industri) dan BKK (Bursa Kerja Khusus) untuk membagikan informasi dan memonitoring kegiatan siswa dalam menjalankan PRAKERIN. Abstract

In developing countries, municipal solid waste remains a major unresolved problem. One way to manage municipal solid waste is to produce biomass. Biomass management from solid waste involves a natural or mechanically assisted biological drying process using bulking agents. This study employed natural and mechanical biodrying systems with blower assistance and corn starch industrial wastewater bulking agents. A blower expedites the process of reducing waste weight. The reactor with the blower exhibited the largest decrease in water content under the bulking agent addition conditions when the water content fell below 15%. Using a blower in the biodrying process reduces the drying time of biomass raw material by 50% compared to the non-blower method, which takes up to 12 days. 1 L of the bulking agent is the most effective biodrying dose. The percentage carbon value in the biodrying process was 42.02% higher when a bulking agent was used than a non-bulking agent (35.98%) and a blower was not used (40.82%). Including a bulking agent during biodrying enhances the composition's elemental value and speeds up the reduction and evaporation or drying of waste.

Abstract

This community service activity was carried out on the basis of assistance because there are still pros and cons to the Qibla direction of the mosque at Syech Ahmad Chatib Islamic boarding school in Balai Gurah, Agam Regency and the need for community knowledge about Qibla direction that needs to be improved. Agam and the need for public knowledge about the direction of the Qibla that needs to be conveyed to the community both in the syech ahmad Chatib Islamic boarding school and the surrounding community. and the surrounding community. This mentoring training uses rashdul Qibla, theodolite and Qibla compass and by using discussion methods, demonstration and mentoring which is packaged in the form of hands-on training in the use of Qibla direction measuring device. Service that is packaged in the form of this training divided into 3 sessions, namely Providing material on Fiqh of Qibla direction, Problematics of Qibla Direction in Indonesia and continued with the practice of using the Qibla direction measuring device with theodilite and Qibla compass. Participants as many as 30 people who are Mosque Imama syech ahmad Chatib and students of the pesantren ahmad Chatib. In this activity, mosque imams were trained to understand the fiqh of the direction of Qibla direction as their basis in answering problems in the community about the the importance of facing the Qibla in terms of performing worship (prayer). Furthermore, the Imam of the mosque is then equipped with the practice of using theodolite tools and qibla compasses. and Qibla compass collaborated with the Qibla direction application.

Abstract

The Madura tribe is one of the major ethnicities in Indonesia that has a rich socio-cultural heritage with its own characteristics, ranging from the tradition of cow karapan and sonok cows, to strong values of solidarity and religiosity. However, the development of globalization poses challenges to the preservation of this culture, such as shifting the meaning of traditions, weakening social solidarity, and reduced use of the Madurese language among the younger generation. This research aims to analyze the socio-social and cultural values of the Madura people and examine how they adapt in the era of globalization. This research uses a literature study method by examining various sources in the form of books, articles, and scientific journals that are relevant about the socio-culture of the Madura people. The analysis is carried out by emphasizing aspects of social characteristics, cultural traditions, and challenges faced in the modern era. The results of the study show that although Madura culture faces serious threats due to modernization and negative stereotypes, noble values such as self-respect, mutual cooperation, and religiosity remain a strong foundation. Cultural preservation needs to be directed at innovation and digitalization to remain relevant in the future.
