Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of religious character education based on Pancasila in elementary school students through the art of Debus. A qualitative approach with descriptive analysis was employed. The research was conducted at an elementary school in Serang Regency and at one of the Lungguh Pangayom Pencak Silat Paguron located in Serang Regency. The findings indicate that Debus art has not been introduced philosophically to elementary school students in Serang Regency. However, based on interviews and observations, it can be concluded that the philosophical values embedded in Debus art, if well-implemented and structured within basic education institutions, can enhance religious values based on Pancasila in elementary school students. To optimize religious character education based on Pancasila, the government could integrate Debus art as local content in the elementary school curriculum.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the improvement of high school students' speaking skills in a private school in Karawang Regency through monologue performances using West Javanese stories. The research design used was a classroom action research design, through stages consisting of planning, implementing action, observing, and reflecting. The research data is in the form of process data and learning outcomes of speaking skills. The research results show that 50% of student activity in cycle I is in the inactive category. The observation results obtained were that student activity in cycle II increased more than cycle I where the average student activity score was 84% ​​which was in the active category. on the monologue performance test cycle I, out of 15 students, 5 students or (33%) passed in the good category, in the less category <65 there were 10 students or (67%), then in the sufficient category the average score was 65-71 achieved by 0 students or (0%) with an average value of cycle one is 56%. In cycle II, out of 15 students, 12 students or (81.4%) passed in the good category, in the less category <65 there was 1 student or (6.6%), then in the sufficient category the average score was 65-71 achieved by 2 students or (12%) with an average value of cycle II is 81%. As a suggestion to improve students' speaking skills, it is hoped that teachers can apply monologue performances as an alternative in learning Indonesian. Abstract

This study aims to analyze efforts to maintain Sundanese language wewengkon Pandeglang as a characteristic of the Sundanese speech community in areas where Sundanese is used, which are spread across the two provinces of West Java and Banten. Pandeglang Sundanese language is distinctive or unique with all the values ​​contained in it. The method used is qualitative-descriptive. The data studied is in the form of teaching material documents as a language construct that represents the speech group of Sundanese Pandeglang. As a result, the Sundanese wewengkon Pandeglang is used in the form of vocabulary which is inserted into parts of teaching materials whose structure is Reading, Pedaran, Kaparigelan, Pangaweruh Sundanese, and Purwakecap. Thus it can be concluded that the Sundanese language teaching material with the title "Purwa Basa”.

Abstract

The aims of this study were to find out: 1) the extent to which students' competence in past tense sentences, and 2) the significant effect of using folklore on students' competence in past tense sentences in semester 2 students majoring in accounting. program of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Buana Perjuangan University, Karawang. This research method is a quantitative method. Researchers collected data by using a written test. Samples were taken using a random sampling technique of 35 students. The data were then analyzed using descriptive and inferential analysis, namely the t-test formula by Arikunto. The results of this study were that the average score of students' competence in past tense sentences before using folklore was 51.5 which was categorized as "less", then after using folklore it was 72, 37 are categorized as "good". The results of testing the hypothesis show that the t-test is higher than the t-table (17 > ​​2.04), meaning that the hypothesis is accepted. The results of the study revealed that there was a significant effect of the use of folklore on student competence in past tense sentences in semester 2 students of the accounting study program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Buana Perjuangan University, Karawang.

Abstract

Through an extensive bibliometric analysis, this study explored the ever-changing field of science education. In-depth analyses of publishing patterns, journal contributions, researcher output, institutional partnerships, and theme content and developmental paths in the field of scientific studies education are all included in the objectives. An exhaustive search of Scopus was used to gather research data from 2000 to 2023. Keywords including learning, science education, and elementary school were found in article titles, abstracts, and keywords. Research patterns were examined using Vos Viewer software, yielding important discoveries. The findings revealed that the highest number of research publications in the field of science education indexed in Scopus was observed in 2023, with 195 publications. Most international publications in this field were found in journal articles, with the United States being the leading contributor. The co-word analysis of the science education learning field identified eight clusters encompassing 88 themes associated with its development. These findings highlight the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration, focused investment in research areas, and the promotion of evidence-based approaches to improving educational outcomes in elementary schools. therefore, influence future research directions, policy formulation, and educational practices and advance knowledge in the field of science education.

Abstract

Learning at all levels of education, from elementary school to senior high school, must contain local content. Learning and preserving local wisdom values is the primary concern of education. Debus art contains several values that can shape character and religious values contained in Debus art, namely piety to God Almighty, patience, cooperation, independence, hard work, discipline, and tolerance. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. This method starts with collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data. The description method in its implementation was carried out as follows: Interview techniques, case studies (differentiating cases), comparative studies, behavior analysis, and document analysis. This research was carried out on students of SMKN 4 Kota Serang class XI TKRO. Debus is part of the diversity of arts and culture of the people of Banten. Debus's art exemplifies that internal culture in schools will emerge when students apply character education at school. Students are used to living with positive things. Students know their behavior is wrong, but they cannot get used to avoiding it. Debus art forms character in students, such as students having piety to God Almighty, a sense of cooperation, responsibility, discipline, hard work, morality, and ethics by the demands of an independent curriculum, namely developing the potential of students and improving the quality of education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal HOTS pada tema air dan pelestarian lingkungan di SMP. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP tahun ajaran 2019/2020, subjek ditentukan berdasarkan rekomendasi guru sesuai dengan kebutuhan peneliti yaitu sebanyak 18 siswa dengan berjenis kelamin perempuan semua. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah soal tes kemampuan berfikir siswa, lembar wawancara, dan lembar angket respon siswa, dengan indikator kemampuan berpikir kreatif yaitu berpikir lancar, berpikir luwes, berpikir original, serta berpikir elaborasi. Berdasarkan hasil data yang diperoleh bahwa kemampuan berpikir kreatif pada siswa kelas VIII diperoleh rata-rata presentase sebesar 69,2% yang artinya tingkat kemampuan berpikir kreatifnya hanya mencapai kategori kreatif.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the Ethno-Pedagogic aspect of a Ngulungbang Tradition in Kasepuhan Cipta Prestasi. This research uses qualitative and uses literature and field analysis to obtain data. The results of the study show that the ethno-pedagogic aspects found are at a stage of the Ngulungbang Tradition, namely bathing at night. The analyzed night bath does not cause rheumatism but nourishes the body. The view of the local people who think that bathing causes arthritis is a mistake that can be straightened out in the end.

Abstract

Multicultural education in Indonesia should be a means to promote the values of tolerance and respect for ethnic, cultural, racial, religious and linguistic differences. The application of the introduction of traditional clothing by means of contests or parades between classes makes not only students gain insight between cultural diversity and traditional clothing, but teachers and other staff will also gain insight and also increase interest in cultural diversity in Indonesia. This research aims to introduce diversity and diversity about traditional clothing in Indonesia as a wealth of Indonesian culture which is implemented in the subject of Pancasila and Citizenship Education. This research was conducted using descriptive qualitative methods, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that a positive impact occurred after the introduction of traditional clothing contest, namely an increased sense of tolerance, increased insight, the learning and teaching process was more interactive and not boring for students and teachers. The quality of multiculturalism education indirectly increases with the existence of learning media to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students by introducing traditional clothing to SMKN 2 Tangerang for multiculturalism education in accordance with the vision of Pancasila education in Indonesia.Keywords: Multiculturalism, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, P5 Project, Indonesian Traditional Clothes.

Abstract

Understanding descriptive text in learning English is not easy for Al-Husna Senior High School at tenth grade. Most of students still found difficulties in elaborating the text such as find the idea, explore the sub-topic, and separate the characteristics of descriptive text. The aim of this study was to investigate the used of local culture as a learning resource in improving students’ writing skill on descriptive text. This study applied descriptive qualitative with the total subjects of research were 35 students. Written test and interview were used in collecting the data. The result of written test showed that the students’ average score on the post-test had increased compared to the average score on the pre-test. The result of written test was in line with the result of interview which showed a positive response to the use of local culture in learning descriptive texts. All respondents felt happy and interested in learning descriptive text based on local culture of Tangerang City, so they could get to know this culture more closely. Using cultural festivals as a learning resource not only improve their writing skill on descriptive text but also helps students develop an appreciation for local culture, increases their awareness of the region’s rich cultural heritage, and develops a sense of pride in their cultural identity. These findings demonstrate the importance of integrating more local cultural festivals into the learning curriculum to enrich students’ writing skills through strengthening connections with local culture and traditions.Keywords: Cisadane festival, Descriptive text, Learning resources, Writing skill.
