Abstract

Vocational Education for Children with Special Needs (CSN) in special schools continues to face challenges, including limited relevant skill development, a lack of adaptive vocational learning methods, and insufficient focus on fostering student independence. To address these issues, this community service program implemented decoupage training as an alternative vocational skill that is accessible and suitable for the learning characteristics of CSN at SLB Putra Mandiri Lebo Sidoarjo as the program partner. The program employed a participatory and collaborative approach involving coordination with the partner school, development of step-by-step visual learning materials, technique demonstrations, hands-on practice, and intensive mentoring by the PKM team and supporting teachers. The training involved 15 junior and senior high school students. The results indicate direct improvements in participants’ fine motor skills, ability to follow procedural instructions, creativity, and self-confidence during the learning process. In addition, the program had an immediate institutional impact by strengthening teachers’ capacity to implement adaptive vocational instruction and by providing supporting resources for continued learning activities. Overall, the decoupage training contributed to the development of foundational vocational skills and supported the implementation of sustainable vocational education for CSN in the partner school.ABSTRAKPelaksanaan pendidikan vokasional bagi Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus (ABK) di Sekolah Luar Biasa masih menghadapi berbagai permasalahan, antara lain keterbatasan keterampilan yang relevan, minimnya metode pembelajaran vokasional yang adaptif, serta belum optimalnya kegiatan pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada kemandirian peserta didik. Sebagai upaya untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini melaksanakan pelatihan teknik decoupage sebagai alternatif keterampilan vokasional yang mudah dipelajari dan sesuai dengan karakteristik belajar ABK di SLB Putra Mandiri Lebo Sidoarjo sebagai mitra kegiatan. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif dan kolaboratif melalui koordinasi dengan mitra, penyusunan materi visual step-by-step, demonstrasi teknik, praktik langsung, serta pendampingan intensif oleh tim PKM dan guru pendamping. Kegiatan pelatihan diikuti oleh 15 peserta didik tingkat SMP dan SMA. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan motorik halus, kemampuan mengikuti instruksi, kreativitas, dan kepercayaan diri peserta dalam menghasilkan karya decoupage sederhana. Dampak kegiatan ini terlihat pada penguatan dasar keterampilan vokasional peserta serta peningkatan kapasitas sekolah mitra dalam menyelenggarakan pembelajaran vokasional yang adaptif dan berkelanjutan. Luaran kegiatan secara umum berupa dokumentasi dan publikasi kegiatan.

Abstract

Religious moderation is an important issue in religious higher education in Indonesia, especially in State Islamic Religious Universities. In an effort to create an inclusive and tolerant academic environment, scientific integration is one of the strategic approaches. This article aims to analyze the role of scientific integration in strengthening religious moderation on religious campuses in Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analyses related to curriculum and learning guidelines at several State Islamic Religious Universities  in Indonesia. The results showed that scientific integration at State Islamic Religious Universities has included aspects of religious moderation, although it is not always explicitly mentioned in the curriculum. Learning materials that combine general science and religious science facilitate the development of moderate attitudes among students. Some indicators of religious moderation found in the curriculum include respect for differences, acceptance of diversity, and strengthening the values of Pancasila as the basis of the state and a guide to life. This study also found that the Indonesian Qualifications Framework based curriculum can strengthen religious moderation if implemented systematically and comprehensively in academic activities, both through learning, research, and community service.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara motivasi untuk mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler bola voli dengan pencapaian nilai-nilai Pendidikan Jasmani, Olahraga, dan Kesehatan (PJOK) pada siswa MAN Paser Tanah Grogot, Kabupaten Paser, Kalimantan Timur untuk tahun ajaran 2025/2026. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari pentingnya kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dalam mendukung pengembangan potensi siswa, baik dari segi fisik, sosial, maupun akademik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasi. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 22 mahasiswa yang diambil melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data diperoleh melalui kuesioner motivasi yang berisi 30 pernyataan dan dokumen nilai PJOK, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan korelasi Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat motivasi siswa dalam mengikuti ekstrakurikuler bola voli berada pada kategori rendah hingga menengah, dengan skor rata-rata 50,00, sedangkan rata-rata skor PJOK 49,99. Uji korelasi Pearson menghasilkan nilai r = 0,108 dengan signifikansi 0,632 (> 0,05), yang berarti tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara motivasi untuk mengikuti bola voli ekstrakurikuler dengan pencapaian nilai PJOK. Dengan demikian, motivasi siswa dalam mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler belum berpengaruh nyata terhadap capaian belajar PJOK. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar sekolah dan guru PJOK mengembangkan strategi untuk meningkatkan motivasi siswa, seperti penerapan metode pembelajaran yang lebih menarik, menghargai partisipasi siswa, dan mengintegrasikan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler dengan proses pembelajaran di kelas. Langkah ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan motivasi sekaligus prestasi akademik mahasiswa secara seimbang. Analysis of the Relationship Between Motivation Following Extracurricular Volleyball with the Achievement of Pjok Scores IN MAN Paser Tanah Grogot Abstract This study aims to determine the relationship between motivation to participate in volleyball extracurricular activities and the achievement of Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) values in MAN Paser Tanah Grogot students, Paser Regency, East Kalimantan for the 2025/2026 school year. The background of this research departs from the importance of extracurricular activities in supporting the development of students' potential, both in terms of physical, social, and academic. The research method used is a quantitative method with a correlation approach. The research sample consisted of 22 students who were taken through purposive sampling techniques. Data were obtained through a motivational questionnaire containing 30 statements and documents of PJOK scores, then analyzed using Pearson's normality, homogeneity, and correlation tests. The results showed that the level of student motivation in participating in volleyball extracurriculars was in the low to medium category, with an average score of 50.00, while the average PJOK score was 49.99. The Pearson correlation test yielded a value of r = 0.108 with a significance of 0.632 (> 0.05), which means that there was no significant relationship between motivation to participate in extracurricular volleyball and the achievement of PJOK scores. Thus, students' motivation in participating in extracurricular activities has not had a real effect on PJOK's learning outcomes. This study recommends that PJOK schools and teachers develop strategies to increase student motivation, such as implementing more engaging learning methods, respecting student participation, and integrating extracurricular activities with the learning process in the classroom. This step is expected to increase motivation as well as academic achievement of students in a balanced manner.

Abstract

Stunting remains a nutritional problem among children under five in Sarirejo Village, with a prevalence of 5.56% in 2025. This community service program aimed to improve nutrition literacy and prevent stunting through the "Pelita Gizi" program, which employed creative educational approaches. The methods included nutrition education using animated videos, demonstrations of "Isi Piringku" (balanced plate), and an educational game "Susun Isi Piringku". The activity involved 12 mothers of toddlers selected through purposive sampling in RW 08 Sarirejo. Evaluation was carried out through pre-test and post-test, as well as monitoring the application of balanced nutrition practices at home. The results showed an increase in participants' knowledge, with average post-test scores rising from 83% to 93%. One-week monitoring also indicated positive changes in children's dietary practices. The educational media were well received and considered easier to understand than conventional counseling. The "Pelita Gizi" program proved effective in improving nutrition literacy and has the potential to be replicated as a creative community nutrition education model

Abstract

Gempa bumi merupakan bencana alam yang berpotensi menimbulkan kerugian fisik, psikologis, dan material. Edukasi berbasis praktik melalui simulasi tanggap darurat dapat meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan masyarakat dalam menghadapi gempa. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Dusun Mangir Tengah, Sendangsari, Pajangan, Kabupaten Bantul, dengan 68 peserta dari berbagai usia, mulai remaja hingga lansia. Metode yang digunakan meliputi ceramah singkat, diskusi interaktif, dan simulasi evakuasi, termasuk posisi berlindung, jalur evakuasi, titik kumpul, serta mitigasi risiko di rumah. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta pada pengetahuan gempa, langkah evakuasi aman, dan mitigasi risiko, dengan observasi partisipasi aktif mayoritas baik. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa edukasi berbasis simulasi efektif membekali warga dengan keterampilan praktis dan kesiapsiagaan menghadapi gempa. Kegiatan ini juga mendorong pembentukan komunitas tangguh yang mampu menyebarkan informasi mitigasi risiko secara luas.

Abstract

Complete basic immunization is an essential preventive measure to reduce morbidity and mortality among infants and toddlers. However, limited community knowledge and unfavorable attitudes remain challenges in achieving optimal immunization coverage. This community service activity aimed to improve community knowledge and attitudes toward complete basic immunization through integrated and sustainable community education. An educative–participatory approach with a pre-experimental one group pre-test and post-test design was applied. Educational activities were conducted through interactive counseling, group discussions, and question-and-answer sessions using educational media. Knowledge and attitudes were measured before and after the intervention using structured questionnaires and analyzed descriptively. The results showed an increase in community knowledge from moderate and low levels to predominantly good levels, along with a significant improvement in positive attitudes toward complete basic immunization. Community education proved effective in enhancing understanding and fostering supportive attitudes toward immunization programs. This activity is expected to serve as a sustainable promotive and preventive strategy to support the success of complete basic immunization programs.

Abstract

The increasing elderly population is accompanied by a rising prevalence of chronic diseases requiring long-term and continuous management. Self-care is a key component in chronic disease management among older adults; however, it is often limited by insufficient knowledge and inadequate environmental support. Family plays a strategic role as the closest support system in strengthening elderly self-care capacity. This community service activity aimed to enhance elderly self-care in managing chronic diseases through a family-based approach. An educative–participatory method with a pre-experimental one group pre-test and post-test design was applied. The intervention consisted of health education, interactive discussions, and family assistance. Evaluation focused on changes in elderly knowledge, self-care practices, and family roles before and after the intervention. The results demonstrated improvements in elderly knowledge, self-care behaviors, and family involvement in chronic disease management. A family-based approach is effective in promoting elderly independence and supporting sustainable chronic disease management.

Abstract

Bullying and violence remain common problems among adolescents and have negative impacts on mental health. Low levels of knowledge and empathy regarding the consequences of bullying contribute to the persistence of such behavior. This community service activity aimed to improve adolescents’ knowledge and empathy related to the prevention of violence and bullying toward mental health through educational interventions. The method used was health education with promotive and preventive approaches, including interactive lectures, discussions, video presentations, and pre-test and post-test assessments. The participants were 40 adolescents aged 13–18 years. The results showed an increase in the average knowledge score from 56.8 in the pre-test to 82.5 in the post-test. In addition, the empathy score increased from a moderate category (61.2) to a high category (85.4). These findings indicate that the educational intervention was effective in improving adolescents’ understanding and concern about the impacts of bullying and the importance of prevention. This activity is expected to serve as a promotive and preventive effort to support adolescent mental health and to create a safe social environment free from violence and bullying.

Abstract

In today's employment, Generation Z has taken centre stage in almost every industry. Examining the effects of information sharing, employee engagement, and transformational leadership on the creative work practices of Generation Z employees in Cikarang was the goal of this study. A sample of 320 respondents was obtained by distributing questionnaires to Generation Z employees in the area using an associative design and quantitative approaches. The results showed that knowledge sharing, employee engagement, and transformational leadership all had a favourable impact on the creative work practices of Cikarang's Generation Z workforce.

Abstract

Loneliness among Generation Z has become a pressing public health issue, reflecting the paradox of increasing isolation despite high digital connectivity. This study aimed to test a multidimensional model integrating psychological, social, and spiritual factors to explain loneliness, with social support examined as a key mediating mechanism. Employing a quantitative cross-sectional design, data were collected from 527 Indonesian Generation Z participants using validated instruments, and analyzed through GSCA-SEM and path analysis with JASP. The findings revealed that self-compassion (β = -0.005, p = 0.015) and self-acceptance (β = -0.006, p = 0.007) directly reduced loneliness, while gratitude unexpectedly exhibited a positive association (β = 0.015, p = 0.005). Social support significantly mediated the influence of both social interaction (β = -0.037, p < 0.001) and self-compassion (β = -0.040, p < 0.001), explaining 54.7% of the variance (GFI = 0.947). These results challenge conventional theories, demonstrating that gratitude may operate differently in digital-native contexts and highlighting the central role of social support in translating interaction and psychological resources into reduced loneliness. The study offers theoretical innovation by proposing an integrated framework of loneliness and provides practical implications for developing culturally sensitive interventions for Generation Z in the digital era.
