Abstract

The service system for every laundry in every area is currently still done manually, this is considered less efficient because the waiters are often confused when looking for clothes that a customer wants to pick up. Then waiters sometimes forget to give information to customers to pick up clothes that have been washed. This becomes a problem where customers have to go back and forth to ask whether their clothes have been washed or not. Smart laundry is a form of implementation whose main objective is to help customers find out which clothes are ready to be picked up and can help waiters find out where the customer's clothes are. RFID tags for customers who are registered as members of the laundry service are used as a tool to store customer data when the customer brings clothes to be washed and to find out where the customer's clothes have been washed when the customer picks up the clothes. This research also uses the QoS (Quality of Service) method to measure the delay parameters produced in the network used. The results of testing that were carried out 35 times in this research resulted in a delay of 0.956458 seconds. From the test results, the maximum reading distance between the RFID tag and the RFID reader is 3 cm. From the results of 10 trials, the percentage of system success in sending notifications in the form of clothes that have been completed and ready to be picked up to customers is 80% and system failure in sending notifications is 20%.

Abstract

The problem and obstacle currently experienced by aquarium users is that users have to check the condition of the food and water conditions by coming directly to the aquarium. This method can be annoying and waste a lot of the user's time working and it is certainly not easy if every time the user has to directly check the condition of the feed and water in the aquarium. So from this problem I designed a system, namely designing an aquarium prototype based on IoT (internet of things) which can help with the problems being faced by aquarium users. This system is a sophisticated manual system using Arduino Wemos D1, Turbidity sensors and Proximity sensors to determine the condition of fish food and water conditions in the aquarium. With this system, it can make it easier for users to know the condition of the feed and water conditions in the aquarium, so that the user's time is not wasted and the user does not need to bother taking care of the condition of the aquarium. From the results of water testing using the Turbidity sensor, the values for very turbid water conditions were 266, 272, 281, 283, turbid water 518, 526, 536, 544 and clear water 589, 590, 594, 595. In the Proximity sensor test, the has a value of 1 when the sensor detects the presence of food and the sensor has a value of 0 when it does not detect the presence of food.

Abstract

A parking area is a place where consumers or the public can park their cars or vehicles in the empty spaces provided in the parking lot. Usually the parking area is filled with quite a lot of vehicles, so it is difficult to find empty parking spaces that are still available in the parking area, due to the density of cars or vehicles passing around the parking area who also want to find empty spaces that are still available to park their cars. This thesis aims to create a parking system that can be monitored via smartphone to determine the availability of parking slots. The parking system uses a raspberry pi microcontroller, an infrared sensor which functions to detect cars entering each parking space, LEDs are used as indicator lights to notify the status of each parking space. The results obtained from system testing are that the system has been successfully implemented as expected based on respondents' responses to the feasibility of an IoT-based intelligent parking system application using questionnaire data from 40 respondents indicating "Strongly Disagree = 0%", "Disagree = 0.5%" , “Neutral = 20.5%”, “Agree = 93.5%”, “Strongly Agree = 88%”. The maximum distance for infrared sensor detection is 80 cm. Meanwhile, the speed of obtaining data values from the sensor also depends on the distance and voltage applied to the sensor.

Abstract

In the livestock industry, feeding work is usually carried out manually or using human power. Delays in feeding fish if farmers leave them for a long time can cause fish growth and endurance to decrease so that production results are unsatisfactory and harvests are delayed. Apart from delays in feeding, pond water temperature also has an important influence on fish growth. Cold or hot temperatures will affect fish production levels. In cultivating milkfish, fish growth conditions will be optimal if the temperature is 30℃ - 33℃. Unstable temperature changes can cause a decrease in water quality, even during the hatching process it can cause fish fry to die. Through this research, a tool was developed that can make the work of fish farmers easier. This tool is designed with a storage bucket as the main material and an Arduino Uno microcontroller circuit. Apart from that, this tool also uses a Thermocouple Temperature Sensor and uses 2 pump motors which function to drain and increase the flow of pond water, and this tool uses a servo motor which is used to control fish feed, this tool also uses an ESP8266 module to connect the network from smartphone to Arduino . The temperature monitoring output will be displayed on Android, users can normalize the water temperature by turning on the two pumps which aim to increase and decrease the water flow, so that the water temperature can be maintained.

Abstract

Obesity and malnutrition are important health problems. To deal with the big risk of health problems, early detection can be carried out by using a standard Body Mass Index (BMI) formula. This detection application will take a photo of the object, which will later determine its Body Mass Index. The image obtained was RoIed using the Thersholding technique with a single threshold value of 160. It is hoped that it can help someone find out the value and category of their Body Mass Index by processing digital images via pixels. The research data obtained is able to inform body weight and pixel height from digital images so that the application can detect Body Mass Index efficiently and practically and can be used by the wider community with a Body Mass Index Detection accuracy of 70% at a distance of 230 cm between the camera and the object.

Abstract

Job vacancy info mobile application has now become an important tool for job seekers in the digital era since the COVID-19 pandemic which recorded a significant spike in the number of unemployed people in Indonesia. In facing this challenge, cloud computing implementation is a crucial solution. This research aims to test performance using the stress testing method and test cloud services from Google Cloud Platform using the Quality of Service (QoS) method. The results show that the server can withstand loads of up to 7000 users simultaneously within 180 seconds or 3 minutes. QoS testing shows that cloud services from Google Cloud Platform achieve an average throughput of 1301.4 kbps with a packet loss rate of 0.54%, an average delay of 0.0019 ms, and an average jitter of 0.00 ms. These results confirm that the implementation of cloud computing in the mobile application of job vacancy information can improve efficiency and quality of service, in accordance with the demands of a dynamic labor market and facing a significant surge in users.
