Abstract

Carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions are one of the primary causes of climate change, which has a significant impact on the environment and human health. As the second-largest emitter of carbon dioxide after China, the United States requires an effective forecasting system to monitor and control these emissions. This study aims to develop a time series model with independent variables using a combined SARIMA-QR method and compare its accuracy with the SARIMA model. The independent variables used include total industrial energy consumption, total electricity consumption, and the forecast values from the SARIMA model. The comparison of model accuracy is based on the MAPE values from the testing data between the SARIMA model and the SARIMA-QR model at the 0.50 quantile. The analysis results show that the SARIMA model achieves a MAPE value of 5.78%, while the SARIMA-QR model at the 0.50 quantile has a lower MAPE value compared to the SARIMA model. The improvement in accuracy in the SARIMA-QR model is due to the integration of independent variables, which provide additional relevant information, such as total industrial and electricity consumption, as well as the forecast values from the SARIMA model. This demonstrates that the use of independent variables can improve the accuracy of CO₂ emission predictions. The comparison of the accuracy of these two models is expected to serve as an important reference for the United States government in formulating more effective policies to manage carbon dioxide emissions more optimally.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, learning is no longer undertaken offline (outside the network) but online (in the network). This condition demands the informative and communicative media for learning activities. One of the media that can be directly interacting with students is learning video. The teacher needs to conduct a needs analysis to ensure the use of learning videos, especially those based on Explaindio. The research was conducted in a correlational quantitative approach. The action research was undertaken at SMA Negeri 4 Pekanbaru with a sample of 36 students. The data collected from the questionnaire consisted of 10 items. Data analysis by substituting respondents’ results through descriptive statistics, Product Moment correlation, and t-test. The results of the analysis indicated that the importance of utilizing meaningful videos to meet the learning needs of students. Learning videos based on Explaindio provide space for teachers to design videos in accordance with their needs. Complete and communicative learning videos can provide meaningful information and experiences to students so that they have a positive impact on student learning progress.

Abstract

Data yang tidak terstruktur atau sulit dianalisis berpotensi menimbulkan risiko bagi bisnis. Oleh karena itu, visualisasi data memiliki peran yang penting untuk menyajikan informasi dari data dengan cara yang lebih mudah dipahami dan komunikatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan informasi strategis yang valid melalui analisis dan visualisasi data penjualan, mengidentifikasi tren signifikan seperti pola pembelian berdasarkan waktu, wilayah, dan kategori produk, serta menyediakan grafik dan tabel yang mudah dipahami untuk mendukung pengambilan keputusan yang efektif oleh pemangku kepentingan. Tahapan kerja penelitian ada tahap pengumpulan data, pengolahan data, pengembangan sistem analisis data, implementasi sistem analisis data, dan terakhir menguji sistem. Hasil dan pembersihan data berupa file csv yang telah dibersihkan dan hasil dari visualisasi berupa grafik serta tabel dimana hal ini dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai informasi strategis dalam mendukung pengambilan keputusan bisnis.

Abstract

Feline lower urinary tract disease (FLUTD) is a complex patient condition caused by many factors. This case is the reason why pet owners always need veterinary assistance. Cats with urinary tract disorders show almost similar symptoms such as pollakiuria, hematuria, stranguria, urethral obstruction, and even urination outside the litter box. Urethral obstruction is a common complication in cases of FUS, which often occurs in male cats. Based on this, this study was conducted to determine the prevalence rate of FUS in the cat patient population at RSHP in 2022. The total number of patients treated at Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH) Prof. Dr. Noerjanto Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Universitas Syiah Kuala was 849, and 38 cases of cat patients experiencied FLUTD. This research is an observational study to see the prevalence rate of FLUTD in a population of cat patients treated at the VTH. Based on the research that has been done, the prevalence value of animals experiencing FLUTD is 4.47. The number of cases of FLUTD in male cats is (97.3%) and for female cats (2.63%). The incidence of FLUTD that occurred in cats aged 2 to 4 years old.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that cause violations of the code of ethics committed by an advocate so that in exercising his authority he can act in accordance with applicable moral and professional standards. Every professional profession has moral principles that are regulated in a code of ethics, including advocates. The application of the code of ethics in the Advocate profession is very important because it is used as a form of moral resilience for the Advocate profession. In reality, the implementation of law in the field there are still advocates who violate the advocate code of ethics. This research aims to analyze the code of ethics applied by the advocate profession so that in exercising its authority it can act in accordance with applicable moral and professional standards. This research uses qualitative methods with library research techniques emphasizing sources of information from law books, journals and papers that have a relevant relationship with the title discussed. The results obtained ideally professional ethics is a regulator of law enforcement behavior as part of efforts to realize good and fair law enforcement. The advocate's code of ethics as a juridical basis in carrying out the profession acts to guarantee and provide protection to advocates from deviant actions, although on the other hand humanity certainly imposes a great responsibility for an advocate in carrying out his profession. Advocates have a code of ethics which is regulated in the articles in the Indonesian Advocates Code of Ethics (KEAI) 2002. Advocates also have a supervisory board formed by the advocate organization and is authorized to oversee the implementation of the professional code of ethics

Abstract

Maqashid sharia has an important role in the lives of Muslims by emphasizing on five main aspects, namely ad-din (religion), an-nafs (soul), an-nasab (offspring), al-aql (reason), and al-mal (property). This research aims to create benefits and protect basic human interests, so that justice in society can be realized. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through review and analysis of various related literature. The data obtained were analyzed using content analysis techniques with a deductive-inductive approach. The results showed that the implementation of maqashid sharia has significant urgency in realizing the benefits of Muslims in various aspects of life, including social, economic, educational, and interpersonal relationships. The application of this concept plays a role in creating a just, harmonious, peaceful society in accordance with the principles of Islamic sharia.

Abstract

Explaining the communication used by the Central Aceh Regency Government in providing understanding to tourism actors and tourists about Qanun No. 8 of 2013 and the application of Sharia tourism in tourist areas in Central Aceh is very important. For this reason, this research aims to examine how the tourism Qanun is implemented in Central Aceh, then look at the challenges and opportunities for Central Aceh in implementing Sharia tourism based on the Qanun, as well as the role of communication in it. The research method used in this research is a qualitative method with an exploratory approach. Data is presented according to facts that occur in the field and is organized and systematic. The research results show that to implement Sharia tourism, the Regional Government and Tourism Office use several communication approaches, such as educational campaigns, religious counseling, collaboration with ulama and religious figures, digital marketing, training tour guides, providing free food products, and promoting local culture. Most of the tourist areas in Central Aceh have implemented Sharia tourism in accordance with the Qanun issued by the Aceh Government. Although there are still several obstacles to implementing Sharia tourism in Central Aceh, the communication approach used has succeeded in increasing the number of tourists. Menjelaskan tentang komunikasi yang digunakan Pemerintah Kabupaten Aceh Tengah dalam memberikan pemahaman kepada pelaku wisata dan wisatawan tentang Qanun No 8 tahun 2013 dan penerapan Syariah Tourism pada kawasan wisata di Aceh Tengah merupakan hal yang sangat penting. Untuk itu penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti bagaimana implementasi Qanun pariwisata di Aceh Tengah, kemudian untuk melihat tantangan serta peluang bagi Aceh Tengah dalam menerapkan Syariah Tourism berdasarkan Qanun, serta bagaimana peran komunikasi di dalamnya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan eksploratif, data disajikan sesuai fakta yang terjadi di lapangan, terorganisir serta sistematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa untuk menerapkan Syariah Tourism Pemerintah Daerah dan Dinas pariwisata menggunakan beberapa pendekatan komunikasi seperti kampanye edukasi, penyuluhan agama, kolaborasi dengan ulama serta tokoh agama, pemasaran digital, pelatihan pemandu wisata , menyediakan produk makanan secara gratis, dan Promosi Budaya Lokal. Sebagian besar daerah wisata di Aceh Tengah telah menerapkan Syariah Tourism sesuai dengan Qanun yang telah diterbitkan oleh Pemerintah Aceh walaupun masih ada beberapa hal yang menjadi kendala dalam pelaksanaan Syariah Tourism di Aceh Tengah, namun pendekatan komunikasi yang digunakan berhasil meningkatkan jumlah wisatawan.

Abstract

The West Lampung Regency Government has allocated IDR 70 billion for the development of the Lake Ranau Lumbok Seminung Thematic Tourism Market as part of its tourism-based economic development strategy. This market is designed around the concepts of tourism, culture, and shopping to attract visitors and enhance the welfare of local communities. However, the primary challenge lies in ensuring the market's sustainability and effective utilization so that it does not experience the same fate as previous tourism facilities in the area, which suffered from suboptimal usage and sustainability. This policy paper employs a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), field studies, and policy analysis. The study’s findings indicate that the development and sustainability of the market require robust regulations, cross-sector collaboration, and community empowerment. Therefore, it is recommended that a Regent Regulation be enacted to systematically manage thematic markets, integrate a tourism curriculum into local education, and prioritize the designation of market locations in community and MSME empowerment programs. The implementation of this policy is expected to support inclusive economic growth, enhance the attractiveness of regional tourism, and ensure the sustainability of thematic tourism markets as strategic assets for West Lampung Regency.

Abstract

The income of fishermen from their livelihood as fish catchers is still relatively low, so they are often in unfavorable economic conditions. This can be caused by a lack of knowledge of fishermen or fishermen not using the right fishing gear. So this study aims to analyze the income earned by fishermen based on the fishing gear used by fishermen. This research uses a survey method, which is an approach that takes samples from a population using a questionnaire as the main instrument for data collection. Respondents who were sampled were capture fishermen in Simboro and Kepulauan sub-districts. The determination of the number of samples was based on the level of homogeneity of the population. The research population includes fishermen who use fishing rods, sero, and gill nets, totaling 33 people. The purposive sampling technique is a sampling technique that determines certain criteria. This research was conducted from August to December 2024 in Simboro and Islands Sub-districts, Mamuju Regency. The results showed that fishermen who operated fishing gear were optimal and included in the medium welfare category. The results of the analysis show that the average income per year of fishermen using fishing gear reaches Rp. 33,056,667, with an average income per month of Rp. 2,754,72. However, fishermen who use sero and gillnet gear are still in the low category, which indicates the urgency to improve the economic welfare of fishermen in the region through all relevant stakeholders.

Abstract

This study explores the Marakka' Bola tradition as an educational medium to instil character values in the youth of South Sulawesi. Employing a qualitative research approach, data were gathered through observation, interviews, and documentation. The Marakka' Bola tradition, widely practised in Palakka Village, Barru District, embodies the values of unity, cooperation, and integrity. The findings reveal that the Marakka' Bola tradition is a significant cultural heritage of the Bugis community, recognised as an intangible cultural asset of Indonesia. It is a practical application of Pancasila values, particularly gotong royong (cooperation). However, the research identifies challenges, such as waning youth participation in traditional practices due to modernisation and a lack of cultural and educational significance awareness. By engaging in Marakka' Bola, participants experience a sense of togetherness and solidarity, essential for cultivating a strong societal character. This study underscores the importance of preserving ancestral traditions like Marakka' Bola, not only as a cultural identity but also as a dynamic tool for character education. The research advocates for integrating traditional practices into broader educational frameworks to address contemporary challenges in youth character development and enhance community cohesion.
