Abstract

The Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia (ORI) Representative of Bengkulu has experienced a significant increase in public complaints over the past five years while facing challenges such as limited human resources and a large working area. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Bengkulu Representative Ombudsman in handling and resolving public complaints. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, utilizing semi-structured interviews, non-participant observation, and document analysis for data collection. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman approach. Results indicate that ORI Bengkulu Representative demonstrates effectiveness in four key areas: adaptation (through rigorous recruitment and comprehensive activities), integration (via external cooperation and effective communication), motivation (evidenced by employee engagement and adequate facilities), and production (reflected in improved complaint handling and public service compliance scores). Despite these positive outcomes, the office continues to grapple with resource limitations and the extensive geographical coverage of its jurisdiction. In conclusion, while the ORI Bengkulu Representative exhibits good overall effectiveness, there remains a need for capacity building to further enhance its role in monitoring and improving public service quality in Bengkulu Province. This study contributes to the understanding of ombudsman effectiveness in regional contexts and highlights areas for potential improvement in public service oversight.

Abstract

The transformation of Indonesian higher education represents a recontextualization of competencies for graduates of the Master of Islamic Education Management (MMPI) programs of glocalization, prioritizing leadership soft skills. This study aims to develop a prototype MMPI curriculum based on Kutai ethnopedagogy that integrates local wisdom soft skills into the 2023 KKNI Graduate Learning Outcomes through the ADDIE model. The research employs a qualitative instrumental case study approach at MMPI UIN Samarinda, applying triangulation of phenomenological interviews (20 informants: lecturers, madrasah leadership alumni, stakeholders), non-participant observation, and tracer study document analysis using NVivo thematic analysis. The University Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda (UINSI) case study reveals the hegemony of normative fiqh content that marginalizes Islamic emotional intelligence and contextual Kutai. The prototype allocates 42% of SKS to Kutai soft skills through a systematic CPL matrix converging laman (wise research via ethnography-Delphi), bawin (collaborative leadership via 360° feedback), huma (maslahah planning via PjBL), oleh-oleh (inclusive management via workshops), and ngepa (resilient curriculum via crisis simulations), proven effective in enhancing Leadership Practices Inventory scores with confirmed behavioral transfer to madrasah management practices. The study yields a sui generis hybrid glocalization model for Islamic education that accelerates ontological decolonization of MMPI curricula via Kutai ethnopedagogy, establishing an empirical blueprint for Kemenag's Merdeka Curriculum. Mandatory prototype implementation across Kalimantan PTKIN via Ditjen Diktis policy brief, modular national cross-adat replication via transferability matrix framework, and longitudinal design-based research for sustainable madrasah leadership retention impact validation are recommended.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah kompensasi dan disiplin kerja berpengaruh terhadap motivasi kerja. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan I Hotel Baloi Batam yang berjumlah 141orang, sedangkan sampel yang diambil berjumlah 105 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Teknik simple random sampling dengan menggunakan instrument penelitian berupa kuesioner. Pengolahan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Stucture Equation Modeling (SEM) AMOS 24. Hasil penelitian ini, pengaruh kompensasi terhadap motivasi kerja adalah positif tidak signifikan dan pengaruh disiplin kerja terhadap motivasi kerja adalah negatif tidak signifikan. Pengaruh kompensasi dan disiplin kerja terhadap motivasi kerja karyawan I Hotel Baloi batam sangat kecil yaitu sebesar 2%.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the principal’s leadership strategies in integrating multicultural values into the curriculum and school culture at SMK Bhakti Loa Janan. The research employs a qualitative case-study approach to gain an in-depth understanding of the phenomenon. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires involving the principal, teachers, and students. Data analysis was conducted using an interactive model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by source and method triangulation. The results indicate that the principal’s leadership plays a strategic role in integrating multicultural values through school policies, curriculum implementation, and the development of an inclusive school culture. Values such as tolerance, mutual respect, and diversity are internalized not only in the learning process but also in daily social interactions. Questionnaire results also show that students demonstrate a high level of tolerance and can interact harmoniously in a diverse environment. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of principal leadership, curriculum, and school culture in multicultural education, strengthened by data triangulation, contributing to more inclusive and contextual educational practices.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada peningkatan pengelolaan informasi di Balai Latihan Kerja (BLK) Pondok Pesantren Al Ihsan guna meningkatkan kualitas pelatihan vokasional. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, yang melibatkan wawancara mendalam serta observasi terhadap pengelola, instruktur, dan peserta pelatihan. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa sistem informasi yang ada belum terintegrasi dengan baik, sehingga pengelolaan data terkait peserta, instruktur, dan evaluasi masih dilakukan secara manual. Keterbatasan ini menyebabkan lambatnya proses pengolahan data dan pengambilan keputusan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini merekomendasikan penerapan sistem manajemen informasi yang terintegrasi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan akurasi pengelolaan data pelatihan. Sistem terintegrasi ini diharapkan dapat mendukung proses pemantauan, evaluasi, serta penyusunan laporan hasil pelatihan dengan lebih efektif. Selain itu, pengembangan kapasitas pengelola dan instruktur juga perlu dilakukan untuk memastikan implementasi sistem dapat berjalan dengan optimal. Dengan penerapan sistem informasi yang lebih terstruktur, BLK Al Ihsan diharapkan dapat menyelenggarakan pelatihan yang lebih profesional, responsif terhadap perkembangan teknologi, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan dunia kerja

Abstract

Education in the current era of globalization is facing serious challenges in the form of moral degradation and the fading of local cultural identity among the younger generation. In response to this, the learning process is required to no longer focus solely on theoretical aspects, but must also provide contextual learning experiences through the integration of character values and local wisdom. This study aims to comprehensively analyze the principal's managerial strategies in optimizing local wisdom-based extracurricular activities to strengthen the educational character and cultural resilience of students at SDN 006 Palaran. This research adopts an interpretive paradigm through a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design specification executed in a naturalistic manner. The phenomenon of discipline and subject interactions are investigated organically at the focus of the educational institution without any intervention or manipulation of research variables, in order to explore a holistic understanding of the patterns and articulation of established curriculum implementation at the institution. The implementation phase was realized through the internalization of values in extracurricular activities such as the preservation of regional dances and visits to cultural sites supported by the school culture and optimal utilization of resources. Meanwhile, the evaluation phase was carried out through authentic assessments of changes in student behavior that functioned as a tool for reflection and quality control through a continuous improvement approach. Research findings indicate that a non-centralized management strategy has proven effective in optimizing local school potential independently. This study emphasizes that an innovative approach through optimizing extracurricular activities focuses not only on implementation but also on the principal's strategy in developing a curriculum that supports a supportive learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the integration of curriculum management in improving the quality of learning at MI Ma’arif NU 001 Palaran. As the core instrument of education, the curriculum requires integrated management to effectively address students’ needs and the challenges of the educational environment. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, and students. The findings reveal that curriculum management integration at MI Ma’arif NU 001 Palaran is carried out through adaptive program planning, contextual implementation of learning activities, and continuous evaluation. Supporting factors include leadership commitment, teacher participation, and parental involvement, while the main obstacles are limited facilities and diverse student abilities. The integration of curriculum management contributes positively to enhancing learning quality across cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. This study recommends strengthening teachers’ capacity in curriculum management and improving supporting facilities to ensure sustainable development of learning quality in madrasah education.

Abstract

The increasing use of ChatGPT in academic writing has raised concerns about students' dependency on artificial intelligence, particularly in EFL contexts. This study examines students' functional and cognitive dependency on ChatGPT as theoretically distinct constructs and describes dependency patterns across gender. A descriptive quantitative design was employed involving ten fourth-semester English Education students at STKIP Taman Siswa Bima. Data were collected through a questionnaire (functional: α = .830; cognitive: α = .632) and self-reflection responses analysed thematically, with findings triangulated to strengthen credibility. The results revealed higher functional dependency (M = 3.66) than cognitive dependency (M = 3.29). Students primarily relied on ChatGPT for grammar correction, vocabulary improvement, sentence construction, and paraphrasing, while cognitive support was associated with idea generation and argument development. Thematic analysis yielded three themes: reasons for use, perceived benefits, and awareness of over-reliance. Gender differences were minimal. The novelty of this study lies in demonstrating that AI dependency operates across qualitatively different levels of the writing process, extending AI-assisted writing frameworks and contributing to learner autonomy discourse by suggesting that EFL learners can exercise selective AI use as a form of strategic autonomy.

Abstract

Membership of the Indonesian Vanilla Spice producer cooperative "KARAVAN" with a Secretariat office in Donohudan-Surakarta, consisting of 18 districts/cities including Semarang, Ungaran, Kudus, Pati, Grobogan, Blora, Salatiga, Temanggung, Magelang, Kendal, Pekalongan, Karanganyar, Wonogiri , Tegal, Surakarta, Purwokerto, Banyumas, Purworejo, Kulonprogo (DIY). The number of members of the 126 farmer cooperative is around 1300 farmers. The production capacity of assisted vanilla farmers for green reaches 7-8.5 tons of green with a distribution on the Muria slope of around 1-1.5 tons. Salatiga, Ambarawa, Temanggung 2 tons. Wonosobo, Pekalongan, Kendal to Tegal around 3-4 tons, Magelang Purworejo, Banyumas around 2.5-3.5 tons per year. Some potential buyer countries include Switzerland, Germany, Malaysia, the Netherlands and Taiwan. One of the requirements for export is proof of vanillin content testing from a laboratory that has been accredited by KAN, including the UNS Integrated Laboratory UPT. Funding assistance for vanillin level testing is very necessary for farmers. This service helps with the costs of testing vanillin levels at different locations and finding optimal post-harvest handling standards for all members so that the results of vanillin levels can be uniform. Activities that have been carried out include holding an FGD between Karavan farmer cooperative partners and the UNS Integrated Laboratory UPT, BSN (National Standardization Agency) and the Plant Biomaterials Research Group on Wednesday, June 12 2024. This activity aims to make the vanilla farmer cooperative a BSN foster partner in assisting with SNI registration. Also making service partners the main clients in testing vanillin levels at the UNS Integrated Laboratory UPT. Various issues regarding germplasm, cultivation and post-harvest are assisted by the Plant Biomaterials Research Group. This service also involved taking part in an exhibition for the 48th Anniversary in front of the Rectorate on Friday – Saturday 21-22 June 2024. To train and apply the technology for drying vanilla fruit in an oven, research was carried out based on existing journals on vanilla fruit. The best treatment for drying and heating treatment is a water temperature of 55 oC and an oven of 40 oC ( on September 19). The vanillin content test was carried out and the levels were measured in 9 samples from 7 regions. From Tegal (Guci area) the vanillin levels were 1.70%, 1.78% and 1.73% with a standard deviation of 0.04%, the three samples were not significantly different. From Kudus (Mount Muria) 1.86%, Grobogan Sukolilo (North Gendeng) 1.54%, Lumajang (Bromo) 1.20%, Ambarawa 1.46%, Pati 1.59%, Magelang (Gunung Kelir-Ngablak) 1, 52%. The highest levels were from Kudus, followed by Tegal, Pati, Grobogan, Magelang, Ambarawa, and the lowest was Lumajang. Kata kunci :  Vanillin levels, germplasm, exports, Karavan vanilla farmers' cooperative

Abstract

Kegiatan evaluasi program literasi digital digunakan, untuk pelaksanaan suatu program di satuan pendidikan dapat terlaksana dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mendiskripsikan dan menganalisis kualitas pelaksanaan program literasi digital pada SD; (2) Menganalisis faktor kendala pelaksanaan literasi digital pada SD; (3) Mendeskripsikan strategi untuk meningkatkan literasi digital SD. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Pelaksanaan program literasi digital ditinjau dari model evaluasi CIPP pada dimensi context pada kategori baik, dimensi input pada kategori cukup, dimensi process pada kategori baik, dan dimensi product pada kategori baik. (2) Faktor kendala pelaksanaan literasi digital sebagai berikut: terbatasnya sarana prasarana pendukung; kurangnya sumber belajar terkait literasi digital; kurangnya pemahaman guru terkait literasi digital; dan kurangnya pemanfaatan situs edukatif untuk literasi digital. (3) Strategi untuk meningkatkan kualitas literasi digital yaitu: mengembangkan sarana prasarana yang mendukung kegiatan literasi digital; mengembangkan sumber belajar yang bermutu; mengadakan pelatihan literasi digital bagi guru; dan memanfaatkan aplikasi dan web edukatif. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah implementasi pelaksanaan evaluasi program dan strategi pada SD di Kecamatan Pejagoan dapat meningkatkan kualitas literasi digital.
