Abstract

The era of globalization has prompted countries, including Indonesia, to reconsider their defense capabilities in the face of increasingly complex threats. Indonesia's primary focus lies in the development of the maritime sector, given its strategic geographic position between the Pacific and Indian Oceans. Maritime security is crucial for smooth trade, considering that Indonesia is the world's second-largest producer of fish. The significant potential of marine resources requires attention to maritime security. Concurrently, globalization has altered the patterns and forms of threats, especially in international trade routes such as the Malacca Strait. This research employs the method of literature study to depict Indonesia's maritime conditions, infrastructure development, and the impact of globalization on maritime trade. The government's focus on enhancing logistical efficiency and infrastructure development aims to support industrial and trade growth. However, challenges persist, particularly in optimizing the management of marine resources and improving coordination among relevant institutions. In this context, Indonesia is presented with an opportunity to become a strong maritime nation with global competitiveness, supported by an active community and a profound understanding of its maritime identity. , , .

Abstract

LNG (Liquid Natural Gas) is a liquefied natural gas, with composition of 87% - 96% methane, 1,8-5,1% ethan, 0,1-5,1% propane and other compounds. The composition of natural gas (LNG formation) varies depending on the source and the process of its formation. Methane gas in LNG has odorless, non-corrosive and non-toxic properties (Air Products, 1999). LNG is basically an alternative method to deliver gas from producer to consumer. When cooled to -162˚C at 1 atm pressure, natural gas becomes liquid and its volume decreases up to 600 times (Handbook of Liquefied Natural Gas, 2014). With such a large volume reduction, liquefied natural gas (LNG) can be transported through the Tanker Ship and the ISO Tank Truck. PT Badak NGL has 3 (Three) T.U.K.S (Terminal For Ownership) As Tanker Ship Facilities and 1 (One) LNG Filling Station as a means of filling LNG to ISO Tank. Development of business process of PT. Badak NGL leads to an increase in LNG filling Station capacity. Along with the plan to increase the filling station capacity, the problem of BOG (Blow of Gas) wastage along with some LNG to ground flare becomes a serious concern. When the number of fillling stations is only 1 (one) station, the BOG wasted condition is not significant. However, with plans to increase the number of filling stations, BOG wasted need to be considered to be fully utilized. Therefore, there is a thought to utilize BOG to become more economic value, through the design of blowdown line on LNG ISO Tank filling station. In the Design of this line Blowdown, Using Pipe Ø2 "(PIPE BE 40S SS A312-TP305 SMLS) interconnecting with Pipe Ø6" (PIPE BE 40S SS A312-TP305 SMLS) BOG Header of new Filling Station under construction (Beginning January 2018 ).

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of side jobs (moonlighting) on teaching professionalism among teachers in Islamic boarding schools and regular schools using quantitative methodologies. Conducted in Majene and Polman Districts, the study involved 109 randomly selected teachers who completed a side-job survey and a teacher professionalism questionnaire. These instruments provided data on side job participation, professionalism, and demographic variables such as gender, school type, and side job status. Descriptive statistical analysis was used to summarize key trends, measure central tendencies, and assess variability within the dataset. Additionally, Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was employed to examine differences in professionalism scores among groups, determining whether side job engagement or school type had a statistically significant effect. The results showed no significant differences in professionalism scores between teachers with and without side jobs, regardless of school type. The findings suggest that side job engagement does not negatively affect teachers' professional practices or teaching commitment. Despite added responsibilities, teachers actively mitigate any potential negative impacts on their duties, maintaining their professionalism across diverse educational environments.

Abstract

Abstract The slogan ‘All Eyes on Rafah' went viral and became the talk of netizens on social media. The viral hashtag #AllEyesOnRafah on X social media was used to voice solidarity and concern for the humanitarian tragedy that befell the people of Rafah due to the Israeli army's attack. This study, conducted using the rigorous Social Network Analysis (SNA) method and incorporating the computer-mediated communication (CMC) theory and the Homophily theory, seeks to identify influential actors and analyze the communication network of the #AllEyesOnRafah on X social media. The primary data is the posts on social media X with the hashtag #AllEyesOnRafah dated from May 26th to July 4th, 2024. The data collection, processing, and analysis uses the web-based applications Netlytic.org and Gephi software. The SNA analysis reveals 305 nodes and 382 edges centered on several actors. The proximity between actors is 3, showing that the distance between actors is close. Therefore, the interactions are easy to occur. It was also found that the interactions between actors were few and considered uneven; this fact signifies one-way interactions. Such interaction is centered on 10 nodes with the most dominant of which is the @realmarcel1 account. In addition to that, the two most influential actors, @realmarcel1 and @Ta4leaHayam1, consistently scored highest in centrality on the basis of the analysis of degree centrality, closeness centrality, betweenness centrality, and eigenvector centrality. The communication network encouraged X users to support Palestine and informed others.
