Abstract

Penelitian kuantitatif merupakan salah satu pendekatan ilmiah yang berperan penting dalam pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan, khususnya dalam bidang tatistic dan ilmu tatis. Pendekatan ini menekankan pada pengukuran numerik, analisis tatistic, serta pengujian hipotesis untuk memperoleh hasil penelitian yang objektif, sistematis, dan dapat digeneralisasikan. Makalah ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji konsep dasar penelitian kuantitatif yang meliputi pengertian, karakteristik, dan jenis-jenis penelitian kuantitatif yang umum digunakan dalam penelitian ilmiah. Metode penulisan yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan dengan menelaah berbagai sumber literatur yang relevan, baik buku metodologi penelitian maupun referensi ilmiah lainnya. Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa penelitian kuantitatif memiliki karakteristik utama berupa objektivitas, penggunaan data numerik, pendekatan deduktif, pengujian hipotesis, serta analisis tatistic yang terstandarisasi. Selain itu, penelitian kuantitatif terdiri atas berbagai jenis, seperti penelitian deskriptif, korelasional, eksperimen, kausal komparatif, longitudinal, dan cross-sectional, yang masing-masing memiliki tujuan dan prosedur yang berbeda. Dengan memahami konsep dasar penelitian kuantitatif, diharapkan mahasiswa dan peneliti mampu merancang dan melaksanakan penelitian secara sistematis, valid, dan reliabel, serta mendukung pengambilan keputusan berbasis data dan bukti empiris.

Abstract

Correlational and causal research are two fundamental approaches widely used in social and educational research to understand relationships among variables. Correlational research focuses on identifying the strength and direction of relationships between two or more variables without manipulating them, whereas causal research aims to determine whether changes in one variable directly cause changes in another. This paper discusses the definition, basic processes, types, and designs of correlational research, as well as data analysis and interpretation in relation to causality. Using a literature-based approach, the study examines key concepts of correlational research, including simple, partial, and multiple correlations, along with common research designs such as cross-sectional, longitudinal, and predictive studies. The discussion highlights the importance of appropriate statistical techniques, careful interpretation of results, and awareness of confounding variables. The findings emphasize that correlation does not necessarily imply causation and that stronger research designs are required to establish causal relationships. This study provides a conceptual foundation for researchers in designing valid, reliable, and methodologically sound studies in social and educational contexts.

Abstract

Mathematics learning at SDN Inpres Wadu Wani, which remains teacher-centered, has resulted in low student motivation, conceptual understanding, and classroom activity. Without more innovative and student-centered approaches, this condition may hinder the development of mathematical thinking skills and the achievement of optimal learning outcomes. This study aimed to analyze the improvement of students’ motivation and mathematics learning outcomes after implementing the CLIS model assisted by Jarimatika. The study employed a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest–posttest experimental design. The sample consisted of 18 third-grade students in the even semester of the 2024–2025 academic year selected through saturated sampling. Data were collected using validated and reliable motivation questionnaires and learning outcome tests. Data analysis included normality testing, t-test, Wilcoxon test, N-Gain analysis, and effect size calculation to determine the significance and magnitude of improvement after treatment. The findings showed that the average motivation score increased from 35.78 (SD = 8.71) to 43.06 (SD = 5.51), with significant differences (t = -8.438; p < 0.001), an N-Gain of 0.512, and an effect size of 1.99. Learning outcomes also improved from 60.00 (SD = 21.42) to 78.33 (SD = 17.24), with significant differences (Z = -3.796; p < 0.001), an N-Gain of 0.458, and an effect size of 0.895. These results indicate that integrating Jarimatika-based calculation techniques supports students' active participation and conceptual understanding. This study contributes to the development of innovative elementary mathematics learning strategies by implementing the Jarimatika-assisted CLIS model to enhance students’ motivation and learning outcomes.

Abstract

Burnout is a psychological phenomenon characterized by emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and decreased self-fulfillment due to prolonged stress, whether in the context of work, education, or social responsibilities. This phenomenon not only impacts mental health but also reduces the overall quality of life. This study aims to analyze the concept of burnout from a Qur'anic perspective through an examination of verses related to human psychology. The approach used is qualitative library research using the thematic interpretation method (tafsir maudhu'i), which emphasizes the collection and analysis of Qur'anic verses related to human mental conditions, such as fatigue, sadness, anxiety, fear, despair, and recovery efforts through serenity, patience, surrender (relief), dhikr (remembrance of God), prayer, and balance in life (tawāzun). The results show that the Qur'an recognizes human psychological dynamics as part of life's trials and provides spiritually based solutions that can build mental and emotional resilience. These Qur'anic concepts not only help identify symptoms of burnout but also offer strategies for managing life's stresses holistically, encompassing both psychological and transcendental dimensions. These findings demonstrate that mental health, from an Islamic perspective, cannot be separated from spiritual health, and that an integrative approach between Qur'anic values ​​and modern psychology can be an effective solution to addressing the problem of burnout in the contemporary era. Thus, this research contributes to the development of thematic interpretation studies and holistic mental health practices. Abstrak Burnout merupakan fenomena psikologis yang ditandai oleh kelelahan emosional, depersonalisasi, dan penurunan pencapaian diri akibat tekanan yang berkepanjangan, baik dalam konteks pekerjaan, pendidikan, maupun tanggung jawab sosial. Fenomena ini tidak hanya berdampak pada kesehatan mental, tetapi juga menurunkan kualitas hidup secara keseluruhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konsep burnout dalam perspektif Al-Qur’an melalui telaah ayat-ayat yang berkaitan dengan aspek psikologis manusia. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif kepustakaan (library research) dengan metode tafsir tematik (tafsir maudhu’i), yang menekankan pengumpulan dan analisis ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an terkait kondisi jiwa manusia, seperti kelelahan, kesedihan, kegelisahan, ketakutan, keputusasaan, serta upaya pemulihan melalui ketenangan hati, sabar, tawakkal, dzikir, doa, dan keseimbangan hidup (tawāzun). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Al-Qur’an mengakui dinamika psikologis manusia sebagai bagian dari ujian hidup dan memberikan solusi berbasis spiritual yang dapat membangun ketahanan mental dan emosional. Konsep-konsep Qur’ani ini tidak hanya membantu mengidentifikasi gejala burnout, tetapi juga menawarkan strategi untuk mengelola tekanan hidup secara menyeluruh, mencakup dimensi psikologis dan transendental. Temuan ini memperlihatkan bahwa kesehatan mental dalam perspektif Islam tidak dapat dilepaskan dari kesehatan spiritual, dan bahwa pendekatan integratif antara nilai-nilai Qur’ani dan psikologi modern dapat menjadi solusi efektif dalam menghadapi problematika burnout di era kontemporer. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan kajian tafsir tematik serta praktik kesehatan mental yang holistik.
