Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of UMP and work motivation on employee performance, with employee loyalty as a mediating variable, particularly in the car rental service sector in South Sulawesi. The research employs a quantitative approach using a survey of 222 respondents selected through purposive sampling. The collected data were analyzed using SEM-PLS techniques to examine the relationships among variables. The findings reveal that UMP and work motivation have positive and significant effects on employee loyalty and performance. Employee loyalty is also proven to mediate the influence of UMP and work motivation on performance. A combination of fair UMP policies and effective work motivation strategies results in sustainable employee loyalty, which directly impacts productivity improvement. This study recommends that organizations integrate UMP policies and motivation strategies with a holistic approach that includes rewards, training, and career development.

Abstract

Indonesia's coastal areas and small islands possess significant natural resource potential but are also vulnerable to various issues, one of which is overlapping authority in the issuance of land title certificates at sea. This jurisdictional conflict can lead to legal uncertainty, environmental degradation, and social disputes. This study employs a prescriptive normative legal research method with a case study approach. It examines relevant land and maritime regulations as well as court decisions to analyze jurisdictional conflicts in the issuance of land title certificates at sea.The research aims to identify and analyze the factors contributing to these jurisdictional conflicts and provide recommendations for resolving them. The findings indicate that conflicts arise due to overlapping regulations, unclear territorial boundaries, differing interpretations, and a lack of coordination among relevant government agencies. The issuance of land title certificates at sea that are legally and administratively flawed may be annulled through legal proceedings involving the courts and land authorities.Harmonizing land and maritime regulations is crucial in addressing these conflicts. The overlapping and inconsistent legal frameworks must be resolved immediately. Additionally, clarifying the jurisdictional boundaries between land and sea is an essential step, as clear demarcations will eliminate uncertainty and conflicts regarding institutional authority. Public awareness and education on land and maritime regulations must also be enhanced, ensuring that communities understand their rights and obligations concerning coastal land, as well as the processes and procedures for obtaining land title certificates at sea.Keyword: Certificate, Authority, Conflict, Government Institution, Indonesia

Abstract

Albeit research related to the development of hadith studies in Indonesia has been employed, little empirical research reports on the future of hadith studies, especially in Eastern Indonesia, which has had its own phenomenon in scientific development. The study focuses on the Hadith Science Study Program which is held at two PTKINs in the Sulawesi region as a representation of Eastern Indonesia in hadith education in higher education whose development is slow compared to hadith studies in other regions in Indonesia. This qualitative research utilizes observation and interview data analyzed futuristically with a predictive approach to map current trends and predict future developments, as well as to outline necessary actions to face the future in the context of hadith studies development in Eastern Indonesia. The research findings indicate that formal hadith education will lose its significance in religious education at Islamic higher education institutions in Eastern Indonesia. Trends from the analysis of historical, political-policy, and educational culture indicate a low prospect for the development of hadith studies in Eastern Indonesia. Developing interest and awareness in hadith studies through the implementation of an integrated scientific strategy is crucial. This research also emphasizes the importance of strengthening national and international collaboration among students and lecturers, focusing on the digitization of hadith studies. Furthermore, Islamic higher education institutions must engage in promoting hadith learning at all educational levels, both formal and non-formal.

Abstract

Selecting appropriate plant species based on land suitability evaluation is essential for developing sustainable agroforestry systems in Social Forestry regions. This study assessed land suitability in the Social Forestry area of Barru Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia (04°06?–04°47? S; 119°32?–119°49? E). Data were obtained from six sampling points through field observations, soil analysis, and farmer interviews. Parameters analyzed included soil pH, organic carbon, texture, erosion hazard, and water availability. Land suitability classification was based on the FAO framework and supported by GIS mapping. Limiting factors such as nutrient retention (nr), rooting media (rc), and erosion hazard (fh) were evaluated to determine current and potential suitability classes. Results indicated considerable variability across sites. Soil pH was acidic (4.18–6.26), organic carbon ranged from 1.71% to 2.30%, and soils were mainly loam to sandy clay loam. The landscape was characterized by steep slopes (25–45%) and elevations of 150–450 m above sea level. Most areas were classified as marginally suitable (S3), though improvements such as liming, organic matter addition, and erosion control could enhance suitability to moderately suitable (S2). Proposed agroforestry designs combine primary crops coffee, candlenut, aren palm, mahogany, and durian with complementary species including cacao, rambutan, and sengon. These combinations are expected to balance production, conservation, and shade functions according to site conditions. This study emphasizes the role of land evaluation in optimizing agroforestry planning within social forestry landscapes. Findings provide practical recommendations for integrating ecological sustainability with community-based resource management.
