Abstract

This research examines effective strategies applied by volunteers in facing challenges to build sustainable communities based on civic engagement. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, this research explores the in-depth experiences of volunteers involved in handling waste issues in Malang City. Data were collected through field observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation, which were systematically analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that close collaboration with various stakeholders, including the government and local organizations, is key to expanding support and increasing the impact of activities. Regular internal education enhances volunteer capacity, while public campaigns and advocacy drive community awareness and policy change. Community solidarity and emotional support between volunteers play an important role in maintaining collective motivation. Other strategies include flexible time management, task delegation, and utilizing creativity in managing limited resources. Self-management is also crucial in dealing with internal challenges such as social pressure and personal expectations. Volunteers who are able to manage their emotions and stay focused on the organization's vision show higher consistency in action. This research offers practical guidance for social organizations in improving the efficiency and impact of their activities, while contributing to the academic literature on volunteer dynamics in building sustainable communities. The findings underscore the importance of innovation, collaboration and civic engagement-based approaches as a foundation for addressing increasingly complex social and environmental challenges

Abstract

ABSTRACTIn the history of Indonesian politics, for the first time a cabinet of state ministries was formed with an extraordinarily large number of members, known as the Merah Putih cabinet. The existence of patronage politics is thought to be the main cause of the increase in the number of cabinet members. Therefore, researchers conducted research to determine public trust in the existence of patronage politics in the distribution of power in the Merah Putih cabinet using quantitative methods with a descriptive type. The results of research data processing using simple linear regression data analysis reveal that there is a positive influence that public trust has on the existence of patronage politics in the distribution of power in the merah putih cabinet, even though only 16.1%. This means that even though the level of trust is not very high, the public still believes in the existence of patronage politics in the distribution of power in the merah cabinet. One form of the existence of patronage politics is the public's belief that strategic positions in the Merah Putih cabinet are given to those who have political closeness to the leader. Keywords: Public Trust; Patronage Politic; Distribution of Power; Merah Putih Cabinet ABSTRAKDalam sejarah perpolitikan Indonesia, untuk pertama kalinya terbentuk kabinet kementerian negara dengan jumlah anggota yang luar biasa banyak yang disebut sebagai kabinet Merah Putih.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the current daily stock recording process, identify the obstacles faced, and formulate a development strategy to increase the effectiveness of the daily stock recording system in the logistics section of the Patut Patuh Patju Hospital. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach through in-depth interviews with logistics managers, warehouse heads, and logistics staff, as well as direct observation and documentation related to the flow of daily stock recording and management. The results of the study show that the daily stock recording process is still carried out manually using stock cards, Excel programs, and supporting documents. This process runs systematically starting from the procurement of goods, receipt, to distribution to service units, but still faces obstacles in the form of mismatches between records and physical conditions in the warehouse, delays in reporting, and the risk of errors due to negligence in recording and managing amprahan documents. This condition creates a high administrative burden and reduces efficiency, especially when reporting at the end of the month. The proposed development strategy includes the implementation of a digital-based recording system integrated with hospital information systems, increasing the capacity of human resources through technical training, and rearranging coordination procedures between units to make logistics flows more efficient, transparent, and accurate. The implementation of this strategy is expected to strengthen inventory control and support the improvement of hospital service quality.

Abstract

This study explores the obstacles in implementing literacy habituation programs at SMPN 1 Tempuran and their implications for the development of students’ 21st-century competencies, namely critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration (4Cs). Employing a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that the literacy program, although structured through reading routines and digital resources, faces significant barriers such as inconsistent implementation, limited reading materials, low student motivation, and insufficient integration with collaborative learning. These issues hinder the development of higher-order thinking and communication skills. The study emphasizes the critical role of teachers as literacy facilitators and the need for contextual, reflective, and technology-integrated strategies to strengthen students’ competencies in a globalized digital era. This research further identifies three broad categories of obstacles: personal (low motivation and reading interest), institutional (limited integration of literacy into lessons, lack of relevant reading resources, and minimal teacher involvement), and socio-cultural (weak family and community support). The novelty of this study lies in its comprehensive mapping of literacy barriers within a multidimensional framework that connects structural, pedagogical, and cultural factors to the 4Cs, integrating perspectives from multiple stakeholders. The implications contribute to the development of more effective, inclusive, and future-oriented school literacy policies aimed at equipping students with the skills required to thrive in a global and digital society.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to describe the weaknesses of incidental voter education in improving political literacy and the integrated voter education model as a strategy for strengthening political literacy. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Informants in this study include Commissioners of the Pekanbaru City General Election Commission, Election Smart House Managers, and Pancasila and Civics Education Teachers in schools. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The data in this study are explained using the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that incidental education has proven ineffective in improving political welfare sustainably. Voter education in schools is generally only conducted in the lead-up to elections. Integrated voter education is a solution to prepare participatory pre-voters, possess adequate political literacy, and foster a spirit of volunteerism in safeguarding democracy through collaboration between the General Election Commission and Pancasila and Civics Education Teachers.

Abstract

Background: The development of Pancasila character in early childhood is very important, especially in the context of working families who often face challenges in providing optimal character education. The character of Pancasila includes values such as justice, tolerance, and mutual cooperation, which need to be instilled from an early age to form a generation with integrity. Research Objectives: This research aims to explore the strategy of developing Pancasila character in early childhood in working families, as well as understand the experiences and challenges faced by parents in the process. Research Method: This study uses a qualitative phenomenological approach, which allows researchers to explore the subjective experiences of parents in developing Pancasila characters in their children. The data were collected through in-depth interviews with working parents, as well as observations of their interactions with children. Research Findings: The use of quality time with children, involving the family in character building, introducing children to religious and social activities, and the use of technology to learn Pancasila values, are all important aspects in shaping the character of Pancasila in children. This helps strengthen moral values, social concerns, and positive communication between parents and children, thereby helping children understand and apply Pancasila values better. Research Conclusion: This study concludes that the development of Pancasila character in early childhood in working families requires collaboration between parents, educational institutions, and the community. Greater support from the surrounding environment can help parents in implementing effective strategies. Research Novelty: This study provides new insights into how working families can contribute to the development of Pancasila character, as well as highlighting the importance of the role of the social environment in supporting the character education process at home.
