Abstract

This article aims to analyze the understanding of the flow of cognitive theory in the learning process in learning. Cognitive-psychological processes include how information is obtained, presented and transformed into knowledge that is raised again as a guide in human attitudes and behavior. Learning is a mental or psychological activity that takes place in active interaction with the environment which results in changes in knowledge, understanding, skills, and attitude values. which is relatively permanent. Learning will be more successful if the material studied is meaningful. Active student involvement in each learning syntax is very important because only with active students can the process of assimilation and accommodation of knowledge and experience occur properly.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of hybrid learning in facilitating cognitive divergence of elementary school students in the context of STEM learning. Hybrid learning is a teaching method that combines face-to-face and online learning. This study aims to explore the process of using hybrid learning in elementary schools and its impact on students' cognitive divergence. The study will use a qualitative research method with data analysis techniques using narrative analysis. The study will involve elementary school students in STEM learning programs. The study will evaluate the effectiveness of hybrid learning in facilitating cognitive divergence by comparing the learning outcomes of students who use hybrid learning with those who use traditional face-to-face learning. The study is expected to provide insights into the effectiveness of hybrid learning in facilitating cognitive divergence of elementary school students in the context of STEM learning.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the development of miniature house-based learning media for elementary school mathematics, to determine the quality of miniature house media, to determine the effectiveness of the media when applied to learning in 1st grade students of SD Sukasari 4 and to determine the increase in achievement after using miniature house media. In this study, as many as 31 first-year students from SD Sukasari 4 participated, namely 14 from a control class and 17 from an experimental class. This research uses qualitative data gathered through in-depth interviews, as well as quantitative data gleaned from surveys and other similar instruments. T and N-gain tests are used for analysis. The study's findings indicate that this form of educational media has gone through a number of iterations, including the identification of opportunities and challenges, the collection of data, the development of a prototype, the validation of that prototype, the conduct of user tests, the revision of that prototype, and finally the production of mass quantities of the product. The produced medium is fit for purpose, as evidenced by the acquired findings of the assessment from the material expert, who gave it a score of 143 on good criteria. This miniature house-based flat building learning media is effectively used in Grade I students in Mathematics learning based on the results of the t test can be seen the t-statistic value of 6,905 > t table 2,035. Besides, the N-gain analysis showed that in the control class of 0,27 with the criteria low, while in the experimental class it was 0,70 with high criteria. Hence, the increase in achievement is in the high category.

Abstract

Problem-Based Learning (PBL) is an active learning approach that engages students in solving real-world problems to enhance their mathematics learning outcomes. This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of the PBL model in improving students' understanding and achievement in mathematics. The research employed an experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group. The participants were divided into an experimental group receiving PBL-based teaching and a control group receiving conventional teaching. The results demonstrated that students in the PBL group exhibited significantly better mathematics learning outcomes compared to the control group. These findings suggest that PBL holds promise as an effective learning approach, promoting critical thinking, problem-solving skills, collaboration, and motivation in mathematics. This study's implications may contribute to the development of learning strategies that emphasize the practical application of mathematical concepts, fostering students' deeper understanding and ability to apply these concepts effectively.

Abstract

This research aims to find out whether there are differences in short story writing skills between students who were given the picture and picture learning model and students who were given the conventional learning model in class IV students at SDN Sukaharja 1, Tangerang Regency. This research uses a quasi-experimental research method with a non-equivalent control group design. The population subjects in this study were class IV students at SDN Sukaharja 1 Tangerang Regency, taking a sample of two classes totaling 54 students, namely class IV A totaling 27 students as the experimental class and class IV B totaling 27 students as the control class. Data collection techniques using short story writing skills test instruments, observation, interviews and documentation. To test the pretest hypothesis in this study using the t test, from the t test results obtained tcount = 1.8658 and ttable = 2.0066, this difference of 0.1408 shows that the tcount value is slightly lower than ttable, it can be concluded that there is no difference in results between the experimental class and the control class. Meanwhile, for testing the posttest hypothesis, the results of the t test obtained tcount = 11.3936 and ttable = 2.0066, so it can be concluded that the picture and picture learning model has an influence on the short story writing skills of class IV students at SDN Sukaharja 1, Tangerang Regency. Keywords: Picture and Picture Learning Model, Short Story Writing Skills
