Abstract

Beton merupakan bahan konstruksi yang sangat penting dan paling dominan digunakan pada struktur bangunan. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan sifat mekanik beton yaitu dengan menambahkan serat. Salah satunya dengan menggunakan serat bambu karena bambu banyak dijumpai, harga yang murah, memiliki kuat tarik yang cukup tinggi serta mudah dalam pengerjaannya. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan serat alami yaitu dari serat kulit bambu petung yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai kuat tekan beton. Persentase penambahan serat kulit bambu petung pada campuran beton sebesar 0,35%, 0,45%, dan 0,55% dari berat beton, panjang serat kulit bambu petung 2 cm dengan diameter 1 mm sampai 2 mm. Penelitian ini menggunakan benda uji berbentuk silinder (15 cm x 30 cm) dengan jumlah benda uji sebanyak 24 buah, pengujian dilakukan pada saat beton berumur 28 hari menggunakan alat Compression Testing Macine (CTM). Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan penambahan serat kulit bambu petung dapat meningkatkan kuat tekan beton. Dimana hasil uji kuat tekan beton normal sebesar 25,67 MPa, sedangkan penambahan serat kulit bambu petung sebesar 0,35%, 0,45%, 0,55% menghasilkan kuat tekan secara berturut-turut yaitu, 26,04 MPa, 26,94 MPa, dan 26,33 MPa. Penambahan serat kulit bambu petung lebih dari 0,55% dapat menurunkan nilai kuat tekan dari nilai maksimum karena terjadinya gumpalan serat. Peningkatan kuat tekan terbesar terdapat pada persentase 0,45%, meningkat 5% dari beton normal.

Abstract

This study discusses the memory to the mothers in Disney’s fairy tale movies. This study aimed to analyze the princesses’ remembrances to their mothers and the effects of those remembrances by using the nostalgia theory by Linda Hutcheon. Three Disney movies, Cinderella, Beauty and The Beast, and Frozen II were studied using descriptive qualitative methods. The result of this study shows that the princesses remember their mothers due to adversities faced in their lives, and this memory is accessed through several media such as mother’s words, the mother’s old dress, the Lullaby, and places. It is also found that those remembrances empower the princesses and have many positive and significant effects on the princesses’ life, such as drawing strength and motivation, knowing the truth, reconstructing their identity, and maintaining self-identity. This positive effect occurs when the princesses have positive perspectives on the memory to past events. It means that it may have a negative effect if the past was taken as trauma or negative events. Furthermore, even though the late mothers can no longer have an influence on their children, their influence remains in the memory of the princesses. Keywords:

Abstract

This study was conducted in a flour-producing manufacturing company. Based on observation and interview results, the problems faced are engine breakdown and downtime issues on HSB engines and engine components that are rarely replaced so production targets are rarely achieved. This study aims to analyze Total Productive Maintenance by calculating the OEE and the six big losses of the machine, as well as searching for the most critical components of the RPN value using the FMEA method. to find out the biggest damage to the HSB machine. The purpose of this study was to find out the causes of less optimal engine performance and to calculate the machine's efficiency. The average OEE score from September 2021 to August 2022 was 75.79%. With 91.15% availability, performance 87.69% and quality rate 94.85%. Meanwhile, the calculation of the six big losses is known to be the largest loss in reduction speed losses, which has an average rate of 11.52%, Equipment Failure Loss of 4.61%, Set up loss of 4.25%, defect loss of 4.10%, idle and minor stop pages 2.18% and the smallest loss was a reduction of 2.18%. The main priority of improvement is bearing with the highest RPN value of 60.

Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company that produces industrial shelf. There were several complaints such as dented racks, peeled off paint racks, uneven heights, incomplete and untidy welds, or other things that caused customer dissatisfaction. This research aims to measure the level of customer satisfaction with the company's performance in the service aspect and also the quality of the products produced. With this research, it will provide recommendations for improvements to PT. XYZ. The service quality method is used to determine the distribution of attributes based on quadrants. After the results were obtained, further questionnaires were distributed regarding product quality. Finally, it is continued with the Quality Function Deployment method for making a House of Quality and the priority technical response is obtained, namely the need to improve product quality as a top priority, the need to select and use appropriate and reliable material suppliers as the second priority, the need to pay attention to checking goods so that they are delivered properly as the third priority, it is necessary to hold training for production workers as the fourth priority. Meanwhile, based on the normalized row weight, the attributes that affect quality are the design of the shelf model, the neatness of the product in the process, the superiority of the product compared to competitors, the product reaches the customer without any defects, the product has been tested in use.

Abstract

In increasingly fierce business competition, companies must have a strategic plan that aims to focus on achieving long-term goals by linking organizational strategic plans. PT. IBE is a company in Indonesia operating in the recycling of metal resources. In carrying out its duties, the company currently only focuses on finances to be able to win the competition in the industrial world, so that other aspects are not considered. Thus, PT. IBE needs to measure company performance so that it can set targets and performance in company assessments. In measuring this performance, the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) approach is used by describing the company's vision and mission into 4 perspectives, namely Finance, Customers, Internal Business Processes, and Learning and Growth which have weights of 0.314, 0.247, 0.201 and 0.239 respectively. In this study sparked 12 Key Performance Indicators (KPI), Objective Matrix (OMAX) and the Traffic Light System assessment system and found that there were 2 KPI indicators that were already good, 5 KPI indicators had not been achieved but were close to the target, and 5 KPI indicators were still far away. under targets. After that, strategic planning is carried out using Hoshin Kanri using the Hoshin planning X-Matrix in order to achieve long-term goals and strengthen the vision and mission statement that the company expects to continue to grow.

Abstract

Printing machine is a tool for the process of transferring images for the printing industry. The machines studied at this company are the GTO 52, MO 65, and GTO 4W engines. Production will be problematic when there are many failure factors that affect machine performance and result in reduced productivity results. As in March, the total downtime of printing machines reached 1,067 minutes, while the rejects were 13,559 pcs. This is because the company also does not have proper maintenance implementation so that operators must be alert. Therefore, this study aims to carry out a comparative analysis of the effectiveness and determine the failure potential of each machine owned by this company using the FMEA and OEE methods. Based on the implementation results, it can be seen that the potential for failure occurs due to machine handling which must be improved through scheduling or periodic checking in order to reduce the hazard from the impact of machine conditions, product quality and increase the efficiency of printing machines. Meanwhile, the OEE value for April 2022 of the three machines produced 30.87% on the GTO 52 and 39.78% on the MO 65, which means that the effectiveness value is lower than the GTO 4W engine of 200.85%. The results of other months are still experiencing irregular increases and decreases, which means that the three machines need the right handling to be able to produce high OEE values ​​so that their operations are more efficient.

Abstract

Quality improvement is always essential for companies to compete with products circulating in the market and for the development of a company. PT kandakawana Sakti is a manufacturing company engaged in painting services for shell helmet products. Based on the results of the analysis, it was obtained in the helmet painting production process that the 3 largest wastes occurred, namely waste defects, waste motion, and waste overproduction. The research was conducted using the lean six sigma method with DMAIC principles, which aims to minimize waste that occurs and increase the productivity of the company. After data processing, waste defects were obtained by 18.027%, waste motion by 18.87 and waste overproduction by 15.79%. It is obtained from the current value stream mapping that the production process has a process cycle efficiency of 26.76%. In the calculation of the DPMO value and sigma level, the DPMO value of 36,433 products with a sigma level of 3.29 was obtained. In this study, improvements were made in the form of making check sheets for maintenance tools, checking sheet mixing paint, checking sheets of scratch material materials and making one point lessons for defect dimensions, one point lesson absorb paint, and one point lesson runny paint. After the implementation of the proposed improvement, a recalculation of the DPMO value and sigma level was carried out. The DPMO value after the implementation of the improvement became 1,259 products and the sigma rate was 4.52 and there was an increase in process cyle efficiency to 33.56%.

Abstract

This company is a company engaged in the coffin industry since 2014. In today's technological developments, there are many cases of competition, one of which is in business. To maintain his business, one of his efforts is to choose the right supplier. The challenge in finding the right supplier is the supply or procurement of the right product for consumers, at the right time at an affordable price. In selecting this supplier, many criteria can be taken into consideration, making it a difficult decision. Thus, this research was conducted to achieve the goal of getting which suppliers the company will maintain to work with by implementing Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) using Fuzzy AHP and TOPSIS. Where the Fuzzy AHP method is used to minimize uncertainties that can occur in decision making, while the TOPSIS method is used to find alternative solutions that have the shortest distance to positive and negative ideal solutions. Supplier selection is carried out by considering 5 qualities, 10 sub-criteria, and 4 alternative suppliers. The results of the Fuzzy AHP calculation show that the first rank is S4 with a weight of 0.498, followed by S1 with a weight of 0.196, S2 with a weight of 0.172, and S3 with a weight of 0.133. Whereas in the TOPSIS calculation, S4 was obtained as the first rank with a weight of 0.665; followed by S1 with a weight of 0.433, S2 with a weight of 0.244, and S3 with a weight of 0.178.

Abstract

UKM Larixa is a small and medium enterprise that produces women's clothing. The production system implemented by UKM Larixa is considered to still have deficiencies, namely product defects and waste. Examples of waste that often occur are waste of waiting, waste of defects and waste of inventory. One way that can be used to reduce waste is to implement lean manufacturing. The data obtained has fulfilled the data adequacy test requirements, reliability tests and normality tests. Standard time is used as the basis for making current value stream mapping and process activity mapping where the process time lasts 1,102 minutes with a process cycle efficiency of 70.46%. The three biggest wastes after analysis are waste waiting with a percentage of 19.82%, waste inventory with a percentage of 18.86% and waste transportation with a percentage of 16.98%. Proposed improvements in order to minimize waste include labeling the final product warehouse area, adding work facilities, implementing 5S, joint cleaning programs, briefings and making SOP.

Abstract

The rapid development of the industry today has made the level of competition between companies even stronger. Companies are increasingly fighting over consumers and trying to make their products more superior and desirable. Competition between companies cannot be avoided, thus companies must pay attention to several things during the production process so that they can facethe tough competition, one of which is to pay more attention to the quality of the products that will be marketed to consumers and minimize production defects so that consumer satisfaction can be fulfilled. In the interviews conducted, several product defects were obtained in the form of corrugated welding results of 54.35%, jagged cuts of 10.87%, sanding left 26.09% of residual welds and the result of painting on the pipe was lumpy of 8.70%. There are root problems in the production of pump in roll pipes, namely the human operator fatigue factor, the machine factor because there is no routine maintenance on the welding machine so that the welding process is not optimal, the method factor is the absence of WPS (welding process certification) in the welding work area and on environmental factors because there is no protection in the welding process area to avoid dust and water during the welding process. These factors have an impact on the pump in roll pipe production process so that it experiences several types of defects such as corrugated welding, jagged cutting processes, sanding which still leaves residual welds and lumpy and scratched paintwork.
