Abstract

This research is motivated by the limited ability of principals in developing teacher abilities, less effective leadership styles and the implementation of academic supervision. This research is a qualitative research with case study method. The results of this study indicate that planning for academic supervision has become a principal program and the preparation of this plan has involved all parties in the school. The principal performs academic supervision of all teachers, in which the principal is assisted by the vice principal and senior teachers who are given a letter of assignment. Supervision of academic supervision, the principal checks and signs the teacher's administrative documents and monitors when the teacher conducts teaching and learning activities in the classroom. Follow up on the results of academic supervision by providing input both orally and in writing. Problems, among others, some teachers in the implementation of supervision are not according to a predetermined schedule, and senior teachers are less well versed in IT. Academic supervision solutions include adjusting the schedule in academic supervision in accordance with the teacher's readiness, and mentoring senior teachers who do not understand IT.

Abstract

It can be stated that when designing a plan for a primary school, it is important to ensure that the plan is in line with the 8 National Education Standards (NES). These standards provide a solid performance framework for improving the quality of education, ensuring every aspect of education functions properly. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with interview techniques, observation and supported by documentation for data collection. The analysis through the data visualisation approach produced by Atlas.ti 9 describes Pamulang Indah Primary School as a pioneer of excellence in education. The school's unwavering commitment to implementing the 8 National Education Standards (SNP) is evident in its comprehensive and structured approach. By prioritising quality education for all. SDN Pamulang Indah has made significant progress in fulfilling most of the 8 National Education Standards (SNP), although there are still shortcomings that need attention, especially in the Financing Standard. The high dependence on APBN and BOS funds has caused some student activities to be hampered when these funds are insufficient or disbursed late. This points to the need for strategic measures to find alternative sources of funding to ensure the smooth running of all educational activities. To overcome the dependence on APBN and BOS funds, SDN Pamulang Indah can seek to diversify funding sources by collaborating with the private sector, raising funds through community activities or applying for assistance from donor agencies. With these measures, the school can be more financially independent and ensure the smooth running of all educational activities, including extra-curricular activities and facility development, without having to rely too heavily on the government budget.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh belum maksimalnya pelaksanaan manajemen TK inklusi di TK Kucup Kartika Kabupaten Sumedang karena ketidaksiapan pengelola dan guru terutama dari segi sumber daya manusia dan sarana prasarana. Tujuan pengabdian ini untuk memaksimalkan potensi sumber daya manusia dan sarana prasarana yang ada di TK Kucup Kartika agar bisa secara optimal menerapkan manajemen TK inklusi. Metode pengabdian ini menggunakan metode pelatihan dan pendampingan yang terdiri dari 3 tahap yaitu tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Dalam tahap perencanaan dilakukan dengan cara TNA (Training Need Analysis) untuk mengidentifikasi permasalahan-permasalahan yang terjadi di TK dalam mengelola TK Inklusi, memperoleh gambaran komprehensif tentang materi, alokasi waktu tiap materi, dan strategi pelatihan yang sebaiknya diterapkan, selain itu dilakukan pre-test untuk mengetahui kemampuan awal pengelola dan guru dalam mengelola manajemen TK inklusi. Selanjutnya tahap pelaksanaan, dimana dalam tahap ini pengelola dan guru diberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan mengenai tiga (3) materi yang berhubungan dengan peningkatan pengetahuan mengenai manajemen TK Inklusi. Tahap terakhir adalah tahap evaluasi, dimana dalam tahap ini pengelola dan guru diberikan post-test untuk melihat perubahan yang terjadi setelah diberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan. Walaupun pelatihan dan pendampingan yang dilakukan waktunya sangat singkat namun berdasarkan hasil pretest dan posttest saat pelatihan dilaksanakan terdapat peningkatan kemampuan dan pengetahuan manajemen inklusi pengelola serta guru.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) and its impact on teacher performance at SMAN 112 West Jakarta. SBM, as a school autonomy strategy, aims to improve the overall quality of education, including teacher performance, which is crucial for successful learning. Although the government supports SBM through various regulations, its implementation often faces challenges like inconsistent understanding and limited resources. Using a qualitative approach with a case study method, this research gathered data through in-depth interviews with the principal, vice principals, teachers, and school committee representatives, as well as observations and document analysis. The findings indicate that SMAN 112 West Jakarta has implemented SBM with varying degrees of autonomy, involving stakeholders in strategic decision-making, and practicing transparency and accountability. The principal's transformational leadership and planned resource management also contribute. SBM has proven to have a significant positive impact on teacher motivation and performance, primarily through the autonomy and participation that foster creativity, innovation, and professional development. The school committee plays an active role in providing facility and training support. However, challenges such as resource limitations and parent participation still exist. Recommendations include improving communication, training, and partnerships for the continuous optimization of SBM to enhance teacher performance and educational quality. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini menganalisis implementasi Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah (MBS) dan dampaknya terhadap kinerja guru di SMAN 112 Jakarta Barat. MBS, sebagai strategi otonomi sekolah, bertujuan meningkatkan mutu pendidikan secara menyeluruh, termasuk kinerja guru yang krusial bagi keberhasilan pembelajaran. Meskipun pemerintah telah mendukung MBS melalui berbagai regulasi, implementasinya sering menghadapi kendala seperti kurangnya pemahaman merata dan keterbatasan sumber daya. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, penelitian ini mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara mendalam dengan kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, guru, dan komite sekolah, serta observasi dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SMAN 112 Jakarta Barat telah menerapkan MBS dengan tingkat otonomi bervariasi, melibatkan stakeholder dalam pengambilan keputusan strategis, dan mempraktikkan transparansi serta akuntabilitas. Kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah dan pengelolaan sumber daya yang terencana turut mendukung. MBS terbukti berdampak positif signifikan pada motivasi dan kinerja guru, terutama melalui otonomi dan partisipasi yang mendorong kreativitas, inovasi, dan pengembangan profesional. Komite sekolah berperan aktif memberikan dukungan fasilitas dan pelatihan. Namun, tantangan berupa keterbatasan sumber daya dan partisipasi orang tua masih ada. Rekomendasi meliputi peningkatan komunikasi, pelatihan, dan kemitraan untuk optimalisasi MBS berkelanjutan demi peningkatan kinerja guru dan kualitas pendidikan.

Abstract

This research aims to understand and analyse the academic supervision of Madrasah principals in improving teacher performance at Madrasah Tsanawaiyah Negeri 2 Tangeran City. The research method used was descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique includes four components, namely, data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The research results show that the academic supervision of the madrasa head in improving teacher performance at Madrasah Tsanawaiyah Negeri 2 Tangerang City includes checking the syllabus, annual program, semester program and lesson plans made by the teacher periodically. The supervision model used is a clinical supervision model with a collaborative approach and the techniques used include individual and group techniques. Scheduled supervision is carried out at the beginning and end of each semester, while informally it is carried out every day in guidance or coaching. The obstacles faced in the implementation of academic supervision of madrasa heads at Madrasah Tsanawaiyah Negeri 2 Tangerang City, the main obstacle is time. Factors that influence supervision include internal factors such as intellectual ability and personality, teaching motivation, concern of the madrasah principal, discipline and the presence of teachers.

Abstract

Human is born without any knowledge, besides surely Allah SWT who has given knowledge to the humankind, the parents and the environment around them which are important roles in supplying knowledge to the human who has just known outer world. Human is born and grown and raised need all knowledge. This research aims to monitor the increase in the use of English in learning in the independent learning curriculum at SMA Laboratory School UPI Bandung. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach, where the researcher asks questions to the Principal, English Teacher and students in the form of a questionnaire and direct interviews. The answers to these questions are arranged in narrative form. The result is an improvement in teacher performance which requires a continuous process of increasing competence that is adapted to the nature of nature and the nature of the times. School principal is also expected to be able to improve teacher performance by carrying out coaching, training, or similar activities to implement learning that supports students. Students also hope that they want to improve their competence in English lessons from all aspects, namely writing, listening, speaking and comprehension.

Abstract

This research analyzes the implementation of differentiated learning management to improve learning outcomes in Science, Social Studies, and Arts (IPAS) for fifth-grade elementary school students in Cianjur Regency. The background for this study is the importance of learning that accommodates the diverse characteristics of students, in line with the Merdeka Curriculum, which emphasizes a differentiated approach and holistically considers student wellbeing. Studies on differentiated learning management within the context of IPAS and its relationship to improving learning outcomes and student wellbeing in elementary schools are still limited. This research aims to uncover the role of structured and contextual differentiated learning management in improving IPAS learning outcomes, as well as its contribution to a learning environment that supports students' emotional and academic welfare. Using a qualitative method with a case study approach, data was collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted in stages and interactively, including data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research findings indicate that effective differentiated learning management can enhance active participation, conceptual understanding, and academic achievement of students in IPAS. This approach also contributes positively to student wellbeing, as evidenced by an increase in self-confidence, independence, and learning satisfaction.

Abstract

This research is motivated by English language learning, especially at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) level, which has not been effective in improving students' speaking skills. Various factors, such as the use of inappropriate learning methods, lack of facilities, and lack of student motivation, cause this. English language learning is an important aspect of education, especially in the era of globalization, which demands international communication skills. This study aims to analyze English learning management in improving students' speaking skills at MTs Nurul Jalal and MTs Khairul Ummah North Jakarta. This research is based on the philosophy of constructivism, which emphasizes the importance of the role of students in constructing knowledge through direct experience, as well as education management theory, which involves the processes of planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating. The research method used is a qualitative case study, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis. Respondents consisted of teachers, principals, and students in both MTs. The results showed that learning planning in these two madrasahs is quite good. However, its implementation still requires adjustments, especially in the organization of time and the use of learning media. Obstacles faced include limited facilities such as language laboratories and students' lack of confidence in communicating using English. Nevertheless, improvement efforts such as teacher training and the use of digital technology are starting to overcome these problems. This study concludes that effective learning management, with support from all school elements, can improve students' speaking skills. There is a need for synergy between teachers, principals, and educational policies that are more supportive of the development of language competencies, especially students' speaking skills in the madrasah environment.

Abstract

This research was conducted at SD Negeri Kalangsurya III and SD Negeri Sindangmukti II, Karawang Regency, which are recipients of the Smart Indonesia Program (PIP). The implementation of the PIP policy in the field still faces a number of problems, such as mistargeting, delays in fund disbursement, and a lack of socialization. This study aims to find out, analyze, and evaluate the extent to which the implementation of PIP has succeeded in increasing access to education for students from underprivileged families and identify the supporting and inhibiting factors for its implementation. The research method used is a qualitative approach with the basis of George R. Terry's management theory, including planning, organising, implementing, and supervising, and Pierre Bourdieu's theory of access to education, which emphasises social, cultural, and habitus capital. The results showed that the program planning was systematic and involved various elements of the school, thus improving access to education. The organization was effective in expanding the reach of beneficiaries. Program implementation is strongly influenced by cross-party coordination and the implementing structure at the school level. Evaluation shows an increase in attendance and a decrease in dropout rates, although there are still constraints in terms of facilities, infrastructure and financing. Proposed solutions include technical training, specialized PIP supervisors, improved information technology facilities, and strengthened internal supervision.

Abstract

Pendidikan inklusif bertujuan memberikan akses pendidikan yang setara bagi semua siswa, termasuk mereka yang berkebutuhan khusus. Namun, pelaksanaannya di sekolah dasar sering kali menghadapi tantangan struktural, sosial, dan sumber daya manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi kepala sekolah dalam mengimplementasikan pendidikan inklusif di sekolah dasar, khususnya dalam menghadapi keterbatasan akses bagi siswa berkebutuhan khusus. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus digunakan untuk mendalami praktik kepemimpinan di SDN Ciawi, Kabupaten Tasikmalaya. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, serta dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman (reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan). Kepala sekolah menjalankan strategi yang mencakup asesmen kebutuhan, pengorganisasian tim informal, pelatihan guru, kerja sama eksternal, serta evaluasi formatif. Tantangan utama meliputi keterbatasan dana, fasilitas aksesibilitas, dan resistensi sosial. Kepemimpinan kepala sekolah yang inovatif dan kolaboratif menjadi kunci dalam keberhasilan awal implementasi pendidikan inklusif. Diperlukan dukungan kebijakan, pelatihan guru, dan penguatan literasi sosial untuk keberlanjutan program.
