Abstract

Bawean language is identified as a hybrid language. Many languages influence the vocabulary of the Bawean language. At least, there are Madurese, Javanese, Malay, Buginese, etc. However, most of Bawean vocabulary are from Madurese. In its distribution to surroundings areas, Madurese is a language that is not easy to change its grammar. Even, it tends to influence the native local language of the people, as the Pandalungan Javanese that is used by the people in the north coast areas of East Java. There, the Grammar of Madurese influences much the Javanese, that is the native language of Javanese people. In other case, it occurs differently in Bawean language. Here, the language that most of the vocabulary comes from Madurese is influenced by the Javanese grammar. It makes the Bawean language different from the Madurese. By doing qualitative descriptive study that compares the significant grammar features of Madurese and Javanese that influence Bawean language, this study is conducted. The data are collected by using observation and interview method. Then, they are analyzed by the identity methods. The study finds that the Madurese Bawean is different from the native Madurese in terms of reduplication and affixation. Although most of the Bawean vocabulary come from Madurese, not all of the Madurese reduplication and affixation Javanese involve the Bawean ones. The Javanese also takes important part in the grammar of Bawean Madurese.

Abstract

Edwardseilla tarda is a group of gram-negative bacteria with facultative anaerobic properties that can infect both cultivated and wild fish. Edwardseilla tarda infection causes considerable economic losses in the world. Rhizopora mucronata is a plant that is known to have the ability to produce secondary metabolites such as alkaloids and flavonoids. This study aims to determine the ability of R. mucronata to inhibit the growth of E. tarda as indicated by the presence of an inhibition zone and the absorbance value in the tube dilution test. The method used in this study is the disc diffusion test and the tube dilution test. The results of the phytochemical analysis showed the presence of flavonoid and alkaloid compounds in the crude extract of R. mucronata leaves. A concentration of 15.6 mg.L-1 showed a minimal inhibitory response in inhibiting the growth of E. tarda bacteria. In comparison, the concentration of 56 mg.L-1 showed the highest inhibitory response in inhibiting the growth of E. tarda bacteria. It indicates that the compounds contained in R. mucronata can be used as alternative ingredients in medicine to treat E. tarda bacterial infections. Keywords: Alkaloid, Antibacterial, E. tarda, Flavonoid, R. mucronata.

Abstract

Vegetables have a nutritional source that is rich in vitamins, minerals, fiber and anti-cocids which really support overall body health. Eating vegetables regularly will have good benefits for the body, one of which is to protect the body from disease and maintain balanced nutritional levels in the body. We can get all the healthy benefits of eating vegetables if we really eat vegetables that do not contain chemicals such as pesticides and herbicides. In this KKN service program, the University of 17 August 1945 Surabaya collaborated with the Surabaya City Environmental Service (DLH). With the contribution of 2 students in one team to help DLH in the MBKM Kampung Zero Waste (KZW) program. Zero Waste, which can be interpreted as 0 waste, is the government's hope that waste in Surabaya can be reduced, although it doesn't have to reach zero. So apart from collecting data on waste reduction in Menur Pumpungan Rw 6, students also created another work program, namely hydroponic cultivation. In Menur Pumpungan village, Rw 6, Surabaya, it is an urban area where there are very few opportunities to eat vegetables that do not contain chemicals. The benefit of this service activity is that the residents of Menur Pumpungan RW 6 can eat fresh vegetables without chemicals which can be planted on a small plot of land using hydroponics as a medium for growing vegetables. Hydroponics is a medium for growing plants without soil, only using water as a substitute for soil. So the work that students carry out in Menur Pumpungan RW 6 village is socializing waste management, reducing existing waste by calculating waste generation and hydroponic cultivation.
