Abstract

Sampah-sampah organik seperti sisa sayuran maupun kulit buah menjadi penyumbang limbah yang mengganggu keseimbangan lingkungan karena menghasilkan gas metana. Gas metana merupakan salah satu gas rumah kaca yang dapat menyebabkan efek rumah kaca. Mitra kegiatan pengabdian adalah para penghuni Panti Sosial Asuhan Anak Muhammadiyah Tunas Melati. Permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra meliputi aspek lingkungan dan sosial. Aspek lingkungan, terkait pengelolaan sampah organik yang dihasilkan dari kegiatan sehari-hari, seperti sisa kulit buah-buahan maupun sayuran yang menimbulkan pencemaran lingkungan. Aspek sosial yakni mengandalkan donasi dan dukungan eksternal untuk memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari. Solusi untuk mengatasi permasalahan mitra yaitu manajemen pengelolaan sampah organik melalui pelatihan pembuatan eco enzyme dan aplikasinya pada tanaman sayuran, dan melakukan pemasaran eco enzyme yang dihasilkan sehingga produk bernilai tambah dan memberikan manfaat jangka panjang bagi para penghuni panti. Tujuan PKM yaitu mentransfer ilmu pengetahuan dengan pelatihan pembuatan eco enzyme sebagai solusi inovatif ramah lingkungan, meningkatkan keterampilan dengan praktik cara aplikasi eco enzyme pada tanaman sayuran agar dapat digunakan sebagai pupuk organik maupun pestisida organik, dan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan anak-anak panti dan para pengasuh dalam mengelola tanaman secara efisien melalui pertanian berkelanjutan serta mandiri secara ekonomi melalui pemanfaatan eco enzyme sebagai produk bernilai tambah. Kegiatan PKM yaitu observasi lokasi sasaran, perencanaan dan pelaksanaan program, penerapan hasil kegiatan, serta monitoring dan evaluasi kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan PKM menunjukkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta mengenai eco enzyme meningkat. Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini menghasilkan mitra yang mampu membuat dan mengaplikasikan eco enzyme dari sampah organik yang belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the reading comprehension ability of grade IV students of State Elementary School 007 Rimbo Panjang through the application of a Synergetic Teaching type cooperative learning model. This model provides students with the opportunity to learn collaboratively by comparing their understanding of the same material. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with two cycles, where each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data was collected through observation, learning outcome tests, and interviews. The results showed that before the implementation of the Synergetic Teaching model, students' reading comprehension ability was relatively low with an average of 65.3%. After the first cycle, there was an increase to 73.3% (medium category). In the second cycle, the average score increased significantly to 86.1% (high category). In addition, observations show that student activity and engagement in learning also increase. The conclusion of this study is that the Synergetic Teaching type cooperative learning model is effective in improving students' reading comprehension skills. Therefore, it is recommended that teachers apply this model in learning to read and understand and adapt it to other subjects to improve student learning outcomes

Abstract

The product consignment system is a business model in which consumers order products through intermediaries, and intermediaries buy the products at a specific location and send them to end consumers. Branding through TikTok is a digital marketing strategy to build a brand image, product, or service on the social media TikTok. This study aims to analyze the influence of the product consignment system and branding through TikTok on consumer purchasing decisions in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) Sop Buah Irine. In the increasingly developing digital era, digital-based marketing strategies are key for SMEs to compete in the market. The product consignment system allows consumers to buy goods that are difficult to reach directly, while branding through TikTok functions to increase brand awareness and attract consumers' attention through viral creative content. The research method used is quantitative with a descriptive and explanatory research approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents who were active TikTok users and had purchased Sop Buah Irine products. The results of the analysis show that both the consignment system and branding through TikTok have an influence on consumer purchasing decisions. Specifically, branding through TikTok has been shown to have a more dominant influence compared to the consignment system. This study provides insight for the owners of Irine Fruit Soup UKM to optimize their digital marketing strategies, as well as providing recommendations for further research to explore other variables that may influence consumer purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Kappaphycus alvarezii is used in industry as a food ingredient, a source of hydrocolloids, cosmetics, food additives, animal feed, fertilizers, biofuels, and medicinal ingredients. K.alvarezii is cultivated in several areas in Indonesia, including on the island of Lombok. The production of K.alvarezii is related to its growth and it is related to its phytohormones. K.alvarezii cultivated in Lombok is currently not known for its composition and amount of phytohormones. The content of phytohormones at different planting ages is of course different. The purpose of this study was to determine the number of phytohormones in seaweed K. alvarezii at different planting ages. This study conducted in Ekas Bay, Lombok, Nusa Tenggara Barat from June to December 2020. The study used experimental methods and descriptive data analysis. The results of this study explain that currently cultivated K. alvarezii contains cytokinins, auxins and gibberellins. Cytokinins obtained on the 9th day of planting were 11.62 ppm and increased on the 18th day to 12.34 ppm. At the next planting age, it continued to decrease on the 27th day to 11.43 ppm and at harvest time, the 45th day of 10.69 ppm. Auxin detected in the seeds used was 644.93 ppm, on the 27th day of 14.27 ppm and the 36th day of 1078.25 ppm. Giberilin was detected on the 9th day at 0.49 ppm. This study concluded that K. alvarezii at different planting ages had different phytohormones content.

Abstract

Pneumonia, a persistent major health concern in developing countries, often leads to ineffective breathing patterns in those affected. This case study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of Pursed Lips Breathing (PLB) therapy in improving oxygenation status and addressing ineffective breathing patterns in a pneumonia patient at 'Aisyiyah Ponorogo General Hospital. Using a descriptive approach and nursing process framework, the intervention involved PLB exercises for 10 minutes, twice daily, for 5 days, combined with oxygen administration, semi-Fowler positioning, and bronchodilator therapy. Prior to the intervention, the patient presented with shortness of breath, ineffective cough, a respiratory rate of 27 breaths per minute, and oxygen saturation of 93%. Following the 5-day intervention, the patient reported no further shortness of breath, reduced coughing, and improved oxygen saturation. This study concludes that PLB therapy is effective in improving oxygenation status and addressing ineffective breathing patterns in pneumonia patients, although further research with a larger sample size is recommended to corroborate these findings.

Mengukur tingkat kepuasan sangat penting dalam menggunakan suatu sistem guna melihat seberapa relevan kualitas yang diberikan dari sistem tersebut. Sistem pembelajaran pada prodi sistem informasi dan informatika Universitas Katolik Musi Charitas menggunakan sistem pembelajaran berbasis online. Penerapan pembelajaran berbasis online pada prodi sistem informasi dan informatika ini baru berlangsung ±5 bulan. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah belum dilakukannya pengukuran tingkat kepuasan dalam penggunaan e-learning tersebut. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengukur tingkat kepuasan adalah metode DeLone and McLean. Dari hasil pengolahan data didapatkan bahwa semua kualitas yang diberikan dari e-learning, baik dari segi kualitas sistem, kualitas informasi, dan kualitas layanan belum dapat memuaskan mahasiswa sebagai pengguna disebabkan dari berbagai faktor, diantaranya mahasiswa sebagai pengguna merasa tidak nyaman dalam mengakses e-learning, akurasi yang kurang, dan tidak adanya kesegeraan jika terjadi kesalahan dalam penggunaan e-learning.

The crude extracts of asiatica showed antibacterial efficacy against fish pathogenic bacteria. 13-Hexyloxacyclotridec-10-en-2-one has the potential to be an inhibitor of DNA gyrase. Bioactive compounds derived from C. asiatica leaves extracts show potential as antibacterial agents.     Abstract Antimicrobial agents are crucial for managing bacterial infections in fish cultures. Centella asiatica is a medicinal plant recognised for its diverse bioactive compounds with important antibacterial properties. The present study aimed to investigate the antibacterial activity of C. asiatica leaves bioactive compounds on fish pathogenic bacteria using an in vitro and in silico approach. The maceration method was used to extract bioactive compounds from C. asiatica leaves and was identified using Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS). In vitro analysis of antibacterial activity was evaluated using the minimum inhibitory concentration method. While in silico molecular docking is applied alongside assessing Lipinski's rules of five, as well as absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, and toxicity properties. The result of the GC-MS examination of the C. asiatica leaf extracts identified 53 bioactive compounds. In vitro studies showed antibacterial efficacy of leaf extracts against fish pathogenic bacteria (Streptococcus agalactiae, Bacillus subtilis, and Staphylococcus aureus) with minimum inhibitory concentration values of 12,5 mg/ml. In silico molecular docking analysis showed that several bioactive compounds have the potential to be DNA gyrase inhibitors. Compound 13-Hexyloxacyclotridec-10-en-2-one has the highest inhibition with binding energy of −7,4 Kcal/mol compared to ciprofloxacin as drug standard with a binding energy value −7,3 Kcal/mol. The following compound is gamma.-Muurolene (−6,7 Kcal/mol), Copaene (−6,6 Kcal/mol) and Humulene (−6,6 Kcal/mol). These results suggest that bioactive compounds of C. asiatica leaves extracts hold promise as potential antibacterial agents for treating fish pathogenic bacteria infections.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effects of training and career development on the performance of teachers at State Elementary School 2 Dono Arum, Central Lampung Regency. Training for agencies was conducted to increase productivity, while training for employees aimed to improve performance, as individuals need to continuously learn and practice to develop the competence and skills required for their jobs. Career development was also essential, as employees not only sought to maintain their current positions but also expected growth, progress, and opportunities for advancement. The analytical tools used in this study included validity tests, reliability tests, normality tests, multiple linear regression analysis, and determination coefficient tests. The results indicated that: (1) training (X1) had a significant effect on teacher performance (Y), 2) career development (X2) also significantly influenced teacher performance, and 3) both training and career development together had a significant impact on the performance of teachers at State Elementary School 2 Dono Arum.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is (1) to describe the characteristics of a good mobile learning application to improve computational thinking and learning independence of high school students. (2) to produce a mobile learning application that is oriented towards computational thinking skills and student learning independence with good quality. The quality of the development results is determined based on Nieveen's criteria, namely valid, practical, and effective. This study is a research and development (R&D) that uses the Borg & Gall development model with 8 development steps, namely preliminary study, planning, initial product development, small group trials, main product revision, limited scale trials, operational product revisions and large-scale trials. The subjects in this study were 36 students from one class at SMA Negeri 1 Gamping, Sleman Regency. The instrument used to measure the validity of the mobile learning application is the expert validation sheet. The instrument to measure the practicality of the mobile learning application is the student response questionnaire. The instrument to measure the effectiveness of the application is the computational thinking test and the student learning independence questionnaire. Validity and practicality data analysis was conducted by converting quantitative data into qualitative form in the form of four standard scale values, while effectiveness data analysis based on test and questionnaire results was conducted using paired sample t-test. The results of the study showed that (1) Mobile learning applications have the characteristics of being easy to apply, flexible to time, lightweight and easy to carry anywhere and also implementing each computational thinking indicator in each stage of the material. (2) The results of expert validation showed that the developed mobile learning application met the valid criteria as seen by the Aiken's validity test score for media experts of 0.83 and 0.68 for material experts. The practicality of the mobile learning application is included in the very good category as seen from the average results with an average percentage of student responses of 87.17%. The effectiveness of the computational thinking test obtained a t-value of 47.22 greater than t (35,0.05) with a score of 1.69, the effectiveness of the learning independence test based on the t test obtained a t-value of 4.85 greater than t (35,0.05) with a score of 1.69. Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the developed mobile learning application meets the criteria of validity, practicality and effectiveness.
