Abstract

The role of the early warning system by the KP2C Community in providing information on flood disasters that often occur in the Cileungsi – Cikeas watershed really helps the community in reducing the impact of the unavoidable flood disaster. The creation of the game “Cikeas – Cileungsi Overflow” aims to introduce knowledge about actions related to flood early warning to the wider community more effectively and fun. By using the gamification method, real activities carried out by KP2C such as interacting with residents through social media, monitoring the condition of upstream rivers, and providing disaster warnings, can be displayed in a simpler form into an educational game. The process of creating a game is carried out by conducting research on various types of KP2C activities in becoming an early warning instrument and then converting the data into a game mechanic. Through the results of game testing, 93.4% of respondents said the gameplay displayed in the game "Cikeas – Cileungsi Overflow'' was quite interesting and 90% of respondents stated that their understanding of the concept of a flood early warning system had been conveyed well. There are still several aspects that need to be developed in the future from the "Cikeas Cileungsi Overflow '' game, especially the leaderboard mechanism which still has problems and continued development to the Android platform

Abstract

Hypertension is a global health issue, particularly among the elderly, and can be influenced by psychological factors such as depression. This study investigated the relationship between depression and hypertension among the elderly in the SELANTANG community, Pasuruan City. Utilizing a cross-sectional design, the research involved 175 elderly participants from a total population of 240. Data were collected in August 2023 using the Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS) and blood pressure measurements. Results showed that most participants had isolated systolic hypertension, with an average systolic pressure of 142.58 mmHg and diastolic pressure of 83.00 mmHg. Despite a normal average depression score of 2, Spearman’s rank analysis indicated no significant correlation between depression levels and hypertension (p = 0.885 and p = 0.901). These findings suggest that hypertension management in the elderly should prioritize factors such as diet, lifestyle, and physical activity.

Modern industry has set its goals to protect environment, promote and recycle products for the benefit of the economy, as well as conserve and make full use of natural resources. Natural resources, the environment, and the economy have been considered as vital in industrial and business activities which are generally carried out in an office area. Offices that are supported by the provision of various facilities as work facilities and infrastructure are closely related to the utilization of natural resources or energy sources. As one of the countries that is committed to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the creation of a sustainable environment in work activities through work design must be realized immediately. The need to prevent and repair environmental damage due to work activities including office work requires every element involved to have an understanding of green ergonomics for office work. An understanding of this can be obtained by describing the important factors that underlie the principles of green ergonomics in the office environment. In this study, the main factors needed to realize green ergonomics in the office environment were formulated through observations, surveys, and several literature sources. Testing the validity of the research variables was carried out by Pearson, while testing the reliability of the research was carried out with Cronbach Alpha. The test results prove that all research variables are valid and reliable in measuring the application of green ergonomics in the office environment. The measurement results are used as a benchmark for improvements made by companies operating in office buildings or building management, as well as how to shape worker behavior, through green ergonomics. The proposed improvements include: efforts to divert energy sources used into solar, wind, biomass, tidal, or geothermal energy; “green” facilities in office buildings including waste disposal systems; office transportation system that considers reducing the use of fuel oil; and the provision of a Waste ATM to speed up the recycling process of recyclable materials. The results of this study also show that the concept of green ergonomics in the office environment involves greenship and technology in its application.

Abstract

Intisari— PT. Abstract— PT. Braja Mukti Cakra is a company engaged in manufacturing that produces high-precision machined products, in the form of automotive components in Indonesia. The problems that occur in PT. Braja Mukti Cakra is in a raw material warehouse, where the laying of raw materials is not optimal due to the absence of naming and distribution of types of raw materials on shelves or pallets in the warehouse. This causes the operator difficulty in finding raw materials to be sent to the production floor and results in a long time for taking raw materials so that there will be delays in delivery to the production floor. The purpose of this study is to design a simulation model for improving the layout of the raw material warehouse from the storage area to the warehouse exit which can be used to evaluate the time of taking raw materials and the time of moving raw materials. In this study, the initial steps taken were evaluating the layout of the raw material warehouse using a checksheet to determine the current condition of the raw material warehouse and using a flow map of the raw material retrieval process to determine the flow of the raw material retrieval process. Furthermore, an initial simulation model of the layout of the raw material warehouse is made to understand the actual system. The model that has been built is then verified and validated. If the model is declared valid, improvements are made to the existing problems by improving the layout of the raw material warehouse and the placement of existing raw materials using the shared storage method as the proposed layout of the raw material warehouse. Placement of raw materials, paying attention to raw materials that have the same purpose and are made into the same rack or pallet or located close to each other so that they get a shorter time in the delivery process. The number of suggestions for improvements to the layout of the raw material warehouse is 3 proposals. The first proposal is the addition of material handling, the second proposal uses the shared storage method and the third proposal uses the shared storage method and the addition of material handling. To select the best proposal, the Benferonni method was used and the results of the checksheet evaluation were used. The best proposal is the third proposal with the time of taking raw materials and moving raw materials to the warehouse exit, which is 71.18 hours. Compared with the initial simulation model which has a time of taking raw materials and moving raw materials to the warehouse exit of 122.23 hours. From this best proposal, the time savings of 51.05 hours or 41.76% was obtained.

Abstract

The use of incomplete or imbalanced data in ecological modelling and conservation planning can lead to inaccurate predictions due to limitations in detection methods. Therefore, obtaining comprehensive and precise empirical data on species presence and availability, particularly prey species is essential. This study aims to: (1) identify the presence of Javan leopards and their potential prey species, and (2) estimate the relative abundance indices (RAI) of each prey species. Using camera trap data from the Meru Betiri National Park (MBNP) survey conducted in 2024, we recorded 24 species, including the Javan leopard, and identified seventh potential prey species. We estimated relative abundance of each potential prey species was determined by dividing the number of individuals recorded in independent photos or videos by the total number of trap days and multiplied by 100. The result of RAI analysis indicated that the most abundant prey species in the study area was the long-tailed macaque, with an RAI value of 44.16 individuals per 100 trap-days, banteng was the least frequently detected species, appearing in only three independent images, with an RAI value of 0.23. The presence of Javan leopards, a charismatic flagship species, highlights the ecological significance of this area and provides valuable data for biodiversity management, serving as a foundation for future research and conservation efforts.

Abstract

One of the main issues that presents difficulty in online learning settings is academic dishonesty. In these environments, traditional proctoring techniques are not always successful; hence, a new hybrid system is under development to address the problem. This creative system detects cheaters in the act by combining digital signal processing and image processing. Multiple cameras in the image processing component of the system monitor students during tests and flag any suspicious activity, including too forceful hand gestures or head movements. Simultaneously, the digital signal processing element finds any illegal devices and blocks internet access to stop digital cheating. Under tests, the system produced some rather outstanding results. It was 100% successful in blocking internet access and able to correctly identify illegal devices 96% of the time and aberrant physical movements 80% of the time. Over current approaches that only use one of these techniques, the twin approach of tracking behaviour and identifying devices represents a significant improvement. The system still has certain constraints and is not flawless, though. The accuracy rate falls to 65% in noisy or complicated surroundings, which emphasises the need for more improvement. Schools and colleges wishing to put sensible plans into action to stop cheating and uphold academic integrity will find great use for this study.
