Abstract

Abstract

Ecopedagogy education related to green campuses requires further innovation related to learning media. This study aims to develop a book on ecopedagogy education in a green campus based on environmental issues. The method of research and development in this study’s is based on the ADDIE approach with five stages. The first stage of this research is conduct an initial data analysis, which will be the basis for developing the Ecopedagogy. The second stage is design the educational media. The third stage is the development process and validation of media experts. The fourth stage is the implementation, and the last stage of developing this book media is to conduct an evaluation given by students; the form of an assessment of the book. This study’s results indicate that the ecopedagogy education media series on environmental issues on a green campus is categorized as very valid. Hence, it is suitable for use in learning activities. The results of this study indicate that the media series of ecopedagogy education can improve student learning outcomes based on the results of the pre-test and post-test. The development of learning media is essential to train students' skills in critical thinking. Suggestions for future research include implementing media on a broader scale.

Abstract

The prevention of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) is everyone’s effort everywhere including in health education. University is one of the most vulnerable places for Covid-19 transmission. Students, as one of the community components in the university, have a vital role in preventing the spread of Covid-19 with appropriate perception and motivation. The research aims to identify the correlation between perception, motivation, and efforts of preventing Covid-19 transmission to students of the Faculty of Health. The research method is descriptive with surveys as the data collection technique. Instruments used in the research are in the form of instruments of perception, motivation, and behavior that are developed with 10 items each. The research results indicate a significant relationship between perception, motivation, and behavior of Covid-19 prevention. Several items with the lowest average score are the first item for perception (4.05), the ninth item for motivation (4.06), and the fifth item related to preventive behaviors (4.14). Efforts in improving the behavior of Covid-19 prevention can be carried out through the enhancement of education at the university level. The research concludes that there is a relationship between the perception, motivation, and behavior of students of the Faculty of Health in preventing Covid-19 transmission. Keywords:  Prevention Behaviors, Health Education, Preventing Covid-19

Abstract

Environmental education requires new innovations related to the development of learning models. Learning models that need to be developed are those related to interaction skills between groups in environmental education based on biological science. The purpose of this study is to develop a Guided Interaction in Team (GIT) learning model or a guided interaction learning model in a team. The research method used in this study is research and development (R&D) with the Analyze, design, develop, implement, evaluate (ADDIE) approach. The results of this study indicate that the GIT learning model developed has a very valid category so that it is suitable for use in classroom learning. Innovation of learning models is very important to encourage students' skills in interacting in solving environmental problems. Suggestions for future research are to conduct large class trials and implementation of the GIT model in various universities.

Abstract

Environmental learning at the school and university levels, often still uses conventional learning. This is a problem, considering the ability of students' Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) is very necessary for the 21st century. The purpose of this study is to do need assessment on learning media, teaching materials, learning materials, worksheets, and learning evaluations used in the learning environment in schools and universities. The study was conducted from November 2017 - January 2019 at several schools in Bekasi and one university in Jakarta. The research method used is descriptive method with data collection techniques using observation and interviews. The results showed that media learning, teaching materials, learning materials, students worksheets, and learning evaluations at various levels were not all based on HOTS. HOTS-based learning has been applied at the university level and senior high school but is still rarely used. This is due to the lack of development in environmental learning. The conclusion of this study is that environmental learning is not all HOTS-based.

Abstract

Environmental learning in schools should be based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) and based on environmental problems, one of which is Green Consumerism (GC). The problem is the absence of student HOTS profiles based on GC. The purpose of this study was to measure students HOTS based on GC concepts and present them descriptively in the form of profiles. The study was conducted in November-December 2018 at State Junior High School 1 in South Tambun, Bekasi, West Java, Indonesia. The research method used is descriptive research. The sample used was 128 students in grade 8th, consisting of 42 male students and 86 female students. The results showed that GC-based HOTS scores were still relatively low. Students overall got an average score of 31.55. The aspect with the highest score was obtained in the analyze (C4) aspect with a score of 3.81, while the aspect with the lowest score was on the create aspect (C6) with a score of 2.57. This is because the information about GC is still not obtained by many students. The conclusion is that students' HOTS scores are low and need to be improved.

Abstract

Natural science and environmental learning in the 21st century require Higher order thinking skills (HOTS). The purpose of this study was to develop an ILMIZI learning model. The method used is research and development carried out in June-July 2019. The results of the study showed that the ILMIZI model syntax consists of 6 stages, start from Identify problem, Limitation problem, Make mind map, Interpret result, Analyze result, Interaction and evaluate. The six stages are the results of development which are expected to have an impact on the rise of HOTS. Validation results from various learning experts and teachers showed a score of 3.74 with a percentage of  93.50%  and a very valid category which means that the ILMIZI model is suitable for use in natural science learning (biology, physics, chemistry) and environmental learning at all levels of education. The conclusion is that the ILMIZI learning model was suitable for learning and expected to have an impact on HOTS students

Abstract

Learning in the 21st century requires a learning innovation, especially in science and environmental learning. That's because solving various environmental problems requires students' abilities, one of which is Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). The purpose of this research was to develop a learning model called ITA (Identify problems, Think and Write, Analysis and Argumentation). This research was conducted in March 2020. The method used in this research was research and development. Validation was carried out for 11 validators via Google form (online media), consisting of 5 learning experts and 6 science teachers. The results of the study showed that the ITA learning model was categorized as very valid with an average score of 3.52 which could be interpreted as an ITA learning model suitable for use in science and environmental learning. Other innovations to support the implementation of the ITA learning model can be developed to strengthen the use of the ITA learning model. This study concludes that the ITA learning model is suitable for use in science and environmental learning.
