Abstract

This study aimed to depict parents’ perceptions of the Ministry of Education and Culture (MOEC) circular about learning from home during Covid-19 pandemic through a case study in Air Bening Village, Dusun III. This was a field study using a descriptive qualitative approach. The data were collected through interviews, observations and documentation for the sake of garnering the data concerning relevant matters. The results of this study demonstrated that parents' perceptions indicated that MOEC circular about learning at home during the Covid-19 pandemic period was felt to be not running effectively and efficiently. It was because in teaching and learning processes parents turned into a teacher who had to be able to master various learning materials. In the meantime, parents did not understand the materials and contents of their children’s assignments due to their low educational backgrounds. Parents complained about online learning implemented by schools because they lacked the mastery of the facilities available on Android, except only for communicating or accessing photos. Even, some were still unable to use Android properly. In addition, internet networks were inadequate, and students or children played more than learned so that during this pandemic students only learned when they had assignments from the teacher. The rest of their time was not used to rehearse the subject matters.

Abstract

Literacy and numeracy skills are important foundations that determine students' academic success at the primary school level. However, their achievement is still facing obstacles, mainly due to limited access to technology and the dominance of traditional learning methods. The purpose of this literature review is to evaluate the effectiveness of implementing technology-based creative learning in improving literacy and numeracy competencies through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach of 25 selected journals, consisting of 15 international and 10 national journals published in the last five years, from 2019 to 2024. The literature search process was conducted through Scopus, ERIC, Google Scholar, Sinta, and Garuda databases using keywords such as creative learning technology, numeracy digital literacy, and basic education. Journal selection was done systematically based on inclusion criteria, namely: (1) relevance to the topic of numeracy-literacy in basic education, (2) containing elements of technology use in the learning process, (3) based on empirical or experimental research, and (4) available in full access. The journal quality evaluation used the CASP (Critical Appraisal Skills Programme) approach to assess clarity of purpose, methodology and validity of findings. The results of this literature review show that the use of technologies such as gamification, augmented reality (AR) and adaptive platforms can increase student engagement by up to 80%, strengthen understanding of literacy and numeracy concepts between 25-40%, and hone collaborative and critical thinking skills by 35-50%. The most successful implementation strategies include the integration of technology in problem based learning projects and the use of personalised learning apps, which have been shown to consistently improve learning outcomes across different school contexts. However, the implementation of these strategies is still constrained by structural issues, such as limited digital infrastructure with only 30% of schools in remote areas having stable internet access and low teacher preparedness, where around 45% of teachers do not have adequate training in the use of advanced technology. The conclusion of this article states that technology-based creative learning approaches have the potential to be effective innovative solutions, provided they are supported by adequate infrastructure, continuous teacher training and the implementation of hybrid learning models that combine technology with local context based approaches. Policy recommendations are directed at developing offline learning modules for remote areas and strengthening further research based on local wisdom.

Abstract

This study employs the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to examine the influence of political policies on Islamic education in Indonesia. By collecting data from various journals, books, and relevant sources published in the last five years, the study finds that the relationship between political power and Islamic education is both strong and dynamic. Historically, Islamic education has often served as a tool for reinforcing authority, as well as a means of shaping national character. In the context of modern politics, especially during the reform era, Islamic education has been strengthened through policies such as educational decentralization, recognition of the status of madrasahs, integration of general and religious curricula, and financial support. However, challenges such as globalization, technological advancement, democratization, and moral decline remain serious threats that must be anticipated. Therefore, Islamic education must be adaptive and strategic to actively contribute to the development of a religious and morally grounded national civilization. This study emphasizes that Islamic education holds a strategic position within the national education system and must be continuously reinforced in response to global political and social dynamics.

Abstract

Improving the quality of human resources has become a primary focus in national development towards Indonesia Emas 2045. One of the key strategies is the transformation of the compulsory education policy, which initially mandated nine years of schooling, later expanded to twelve years, and is now directed towards thirteen years with the integration of Early Childhood Education (PAUD). Early childhood education plays a crucial role in shaping children's readiness for primary education while simultaneously reducing literacy gaps from an early age. This article aims to analyze the urgency of expanding compulsory education to thirteen years from the perspective of national human resource development and Indonesia's commitment to Target 4.2 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030. This study employs a qualitative approach based on literature review of national policy documents, academic studies, and research findings. The results indicate that integrating PAUD into the compulsory education system will strengthen school readiness, enhance equitable access to education, and establish a strong foundation for literacy, numeracy, and character development among Indonesian children. To realize this policy, it is necessary to expand access to quality PAUD services, strengthen national regulations, and foster multi-stakeholder collaboration. Through these efforts, thirteen years of compulsory education will serve as a strategic foundation for developing superior and globally competitive Indonesian human resources.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the results of previous research on the effect of augmented reality-based learning media on student learning outcomes in science learning at the elementary school level. The rapid development of technology invites us to continue to adapt so as not to be far behind. Augmented Reality presents abstract concepts in layers so students can witness them in real-time through time through augmented reality-based interactive comic media; students are invited to directly observe abstract ideas in their hands, thus creating more meaningful learning. Using the Systematic Literature review method, researchers analyzed 25 articles from 15 international journals and 10 national journals from 2019 to 2025 to determine the effectiveness of augmented reality-based learning media in improving student learning outcomes in science learning. The articles were obtained based on search results from publish or perish. The results of previous studies show that augmented reality-based learning media can consistently improve student learning outcomes in science learning. This study concludes that using augmented reality-based learning media has significant potential in supporting science learning and presenting fundamental concepts behind abstract concepts complex for students to understand. This discovery will likely encourage using augmented reality-based media in education more widely and effectively.
