Abstract

In screenwriting, one of the most essential elements is character. Characters are usually shaped by three critical factors: physical appearance, psychology, and sociology. In horror films, female characters are often used as protagonists, but in the history of horror films, female characters are trapped by the male gaze. The male gaze functions as a mechanism to dehumanize and commodify women, viewing them solely through the lens of heterosexual male desire. Laura Mulvey, in her seminal 1975 essay "Visual Pleasure and Narrative Cinema," posits that films serve to strengthen patriarchal structures by portraying women as mere objects for both the male protagonist inside the film and the audience consuming the film. The use of AI in screenwriting continues to grow, although it is still a matter of debate. As we know, AI works by gathering and generalizing information from pre-existing data. This becomes a problem when we want to create female characters that are not considered male-gaze. Of course, not all horror films that have been made use the male gaze, but we must understand how horror films develop occasionally. This paper examines the relationship between artificial intelligence and creating female characters in scriptwriting, especially horror films. A conceptual paper is a paper without data, as it is focused on “integration and proposing new relationships among constructs”.This paper also aims to find the next step for us to create women characters with AI. Abstract

Low Back Pain merupakan nyeri otot yang terjadi pada area punggung bawah dengan disebabkan oleh aktivitas duduk yang lama, faktor berat badan obesitas dan juga usia terutama pada lansia dengan aktivitas dengan postur yang tidak ergonomis. Faktor penting untuk menunjang aktivitas keseharian adalah mobilitas tulang belakang sehingga ketika terjadi kelemahan otot di area punggung bawah akan berdampak pada rasa nyeri dan aktivitas keseharian terganggu juga mobilitas tulang belakang menurun. Penilitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat terutama lansia mengenai penyebab, pencegahan, dan penanganan yang tepat melalui kegiatan penyuluhan di Pustu Kel. Karang Besuki, Kota Malang. Kegiatan penyuluhan ini dihadiri oleh 22 lansia dari rentan usia 60-68 tahun. Penyuluhan yang dilakukan meliputi pemberian materi mengenai low back pain serta penjelasan mengenai penanganan pada low back pain yang bias dilakukan secara mandiri di rumah, dengan metode edukasi menggunakan poster dan leaflet. Evaluasi pada penyuluhan ini melalui wawancara pretest dan posttest dilakukan untuk mengukur tingkat pemahaman peserta. Hasil penyuluhan didapatkan peningkatan pemahaman mengenai low back pain mulai dari 23% hasil pretest menjadi 100% hasil post-test setelah penyuluhan. Penyuluhan yang di lakukan dapat dikatakan berhasil karena dapat meningkatkan kesadaran lansia tentang postur dan aktivitas yang akan berdampak bagi kesehatan serta pencegahan dan penanganan low back pain.

Abstract

Social change is an inevitable phenomenon in people's lives, and communication has a very important role in driving this transformation. In this context, communication is not just an exchange of information, but also a process that can influence the way of view, values, and norms that exist in society. This research aims to explore the role of communication in social change, focusing on how communication can be a tool to facilitate the transformation of society at various levels. Through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this study collects and analyzes various literature that discusses the relationship between communication and social change. The results of this study show that effective communication can contribute to positive changes in society, including increasing social awareness, promoting community participation, and encouraging collaboration between various stakeholders. The study also identifies several challenges faced in the communication process that can hinder desired social change. By understanding the dynamics of communication in the context of social change, this study hopes to provide recommendations for policymakers, social activists, and communication practitioners to design more effective communication strategies in driving social transformation. At the end of this study, it is hoped that a deeper understanding of the importance of communication in creating sustainable social change will be realized.

Abstract

Abstrak - Penelitian ini mengungkap penggunaan lambang komunikasi oleh remaja dalam membangun atensi atau mencari perhatian warganet pada Instagram. Metode yang digunakan dalam menganalisa percakapan dan interaksi pada penelitian ini adalah netnografi. Dari penelitian ditemukan bahwa pengguna Instagram melakukan konstruksi pesan bisa melalui tulisan, foto bahkan tayangan yang berbentuk visual dan audio. Lambang komunikasi tersebut disampaikan dengan mengoptimalkan fitur visual dan audio yang terdapat pada media sosial tersebut. Konstruksi bertujuan untuk memperoleh perhatian yang bisa berwujud dari jumlah penonton atau view dan jumlah likes atau suka. Lebih dalam lagi terungkap bahwa perhatian yang dimaksud oleh pengguna Instagram tidak hanya ditujukan pada warganet secara umum namun juga ditujukan pada pasangan atau pujaan hati. Abstract - This study revealed the use communication symbols in seeking attention from netizens on Instagram by teenager. This research analyzing conversations and interactions text on Instagaram by netnography methode.  It was found that Instagram users do message construction through writing, photos and even visual and audio shows. The communication symbol is conveyed by optimizing the visual and audio features found on the social media. Construction aims to get attention that can be tangible from the number of viewers and likes. Furthermore, it was found that the attention referred by Instagaram users was not only directed at netizens in general but also aimed at couples or idolaters.

Abstract

Background Speech and language problems are developmental disorders often observed in children. Risk factors for speech and language disorders can occur prenatally, perinatally, or postnatally. Recognizing the risk factors for speech and language problems is essential for early diagnosis and intervention. Objective To identify risk and protective factors of speech and language disorders in children. Methods This case-control study was conducted in the Growth and Development Clinic at Dr. Soetomo Hospital, Siloam Hospital, Kendangsari Merr Hospital, and Darmo Hospital, Surabaya, East Java. Subjects with normal development were included in the control group, subjects with speech-language development disorders with no additional problems were included in the primary case group, and subjects with speech-language disorders and additional problems were included in the secondary case group. Subjects underwent history-taking and developmental examinations to assess for risk factors and types of speech-language disorders. Results During March – July 2023, 162 subjects aged 2-6 years met the inclusion criteria. The significant risk factors in the primary group were male sex (P=0.000), age 2-3 years (P=0.01), and maternal age 19-35 years (P=0.018). The protective factor identified was not bilingual (P=0.046). In the secondary group, the significant risk factor was male gender (P=0.002). The protective factors obtained were absence of seizures (P=0.028) and not being bilingual (P=0.045). Conclusion Male gender is a risk factor while non-bilingual is protective for speech-language disorders in children.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the working system of the Mitsubishi Fuso type 125Ps truck brakes using a brake test tool, namely the Axle Load Breaker Tester at the Cilegon City Transportation Agency. This study uses a direct experimental method using motor vehicle subjects, namely the Mitsubishi Fuso type 125Ps truck. There are 3 data taken, namely the foot brake on axle 1, the foot brake on axle 2 and the hand brake on axle 2. There is also total data on the overall test results which are used to decide whether the final result of the vehicle passes or fails the test and there is also data on the imbalance or deviation between the right and left wheels. There are 2 displays produced from this test, namely by using the existing formula and seeing the results directly on the monitor screen. The results of these two displays are slightly different, perhaps due to several factors including tolerance on the tool, lack of calibration on the tool and age factors on the tool. However, from the differences in these results, the data obtained shows that this vehicle has met the roadworthiness requirements in accordance with existing regulations. This periodic testing is carried out at least once every 6 months so that the braking system works optimally and does not cause accidents for the driver or others.

Abstract

Polio is a disease that attacks the nerves and the worst impact can cause permanent paralysis. Polio was found in children as young as 4 years old in Karawang. This has caused the West Java region to be declared an Extraordinary Event (KLB). Because of this, the West Java Health Office held a National Immunization Week to prevent transmission to other children. In the implementation at Posyandu Mawar 22 children who are immunized have not reached the desired target. The purpose of this study was to determine the communication strategy of Posyandu cadres in socializing the National Immunization Week program at Posyandu Mawar 22 Sukatani. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. Based on the results of research and discussion conducted by researchers, the communication strategy used by Posyandu cadres is that first the cadres get training or direction regarding what the PIN program is and also determine the target audience for the socialization of the PIN program, compiling messages for socialization in the form of what the PIN program is, how important the PIN program is to do, the socialization method is carried out directly or by intermediary whatsapp media, and for the media used is an online poster.

Abstract

Kitab Durratun Nashihin merupakan salah satu kitab yang bercorak targhib dan tarhib, banyak digunakan oleh masyarakat muslim khususnya di Indonesia. Ternyata di dalamnya banyak memuat hadis-hadis bermasalah. Status kualitas hadis-hadisnya telah dikaji oleh Ahmad Lutfi Fathullah salah seorang hadisolog Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui bagaimana metode Ahmad Lutfi Fathullah dalam bukunya yang berjudul Hadits-hadits Lemah dan Palsu dalam Kitab Durratun Nashihin. sehingga hal ini dapat memberikan kontribusi pemikiran dan edukasi bagi masyarakat baik secara substansi konten maupun metodologi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian sumber dengan jenis penelitian kepustakaan (library research), objek penelitiannya adalah buku Hadits-hadits Lemah dan Palsu dalam Kitab Durratun Nashihin karya Ahmad Lutfi Fathullah. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi kepustakaan menggunakan sumber data primer dan sekunder, kemudian data dianalisis dengan pendekatan analisis isi (content analysis). Hasil penelitian ini, pertama, Metode Lutfi dalam Penyusunan Kitab (Manhaj at-Tartib), meliputi : a. sistematika buku terdiri dari 1). pendahuluan yang menjelaskan metode dan pola penyusunan hadis serta metode dan kaedah penilaian suatu hadis; 2). bagian isi yang terbagi kepada lima bab memuat hadis-hadis tentang keutamaan bulan Rajab, Syakban dan Ramadhan; 3). Bagian penutup yang berisi motif, tujuan dan harapan penulis. b. korelasi antara bab dengan hadis yang didalamnya terikat secara langsung dan tidak langsung atau tersirat. c. Numerisasi hadis terdiri dari nomor urut hadis yang diberikan penulis dalam bukunya dan nomor hadis sesuai dengan fasal yang ada dalam kitab durratun nasihin. d. memaparkan hadis dengan bahasa Arab diikuti dengan terjemahannya. e. Takhrij hadis dilakukan oleh Lutfi dengan menjelaskan sumber dan kualitas riwayat secara ringkas (muyassar) dan argumentatif. f. Referensi penulis meliputi kitab-kitab hadis bersanad, kitab rijal al-hadis, kitab yang hanya mengoleksi hadis palsu, kitab-kitab takhrij, kitab syarah hadis dan kitab-kitab tafsir. Di bagian akhir bukunya, Lutfi membuat dan menjelaskan istilah-istilah teknis dalam disiplin ilmu hadis yang terdapat dalam bukunya. Kedua, Metode Lutfi dalam Kritik Hadis (Manhaj an-Naqd), meliputi: a. Penilaian terhadap hadis menggunakan lima kriteria yaitu Ittisal as-sanad, ‘adalat ar-ruwat, dabt ar-ruwat, ‘adam asy-syuzuz dan ‘adam al-illat. b. Takhrij Hadis dilakukan oleh Lutfi berbasis analitik (Dira’i) dan rekomendatif (naqli). c. Penilaian terhadap hadis palsu antara lain berdasarkan rekomendasi para ulama, kajian ilmu rijal dan jarh wa ta’dil, indikasi-indikasi kepalsuan suatu riwayat dan kaedah-kaedah yang menunjukkan kepalsuan suatu riwayat.

Abstract

Abstract: Vocational education plays an important role in preparing students to enter the workplace with relevant expertise. In today's digital age, the use of information and communication technology (ICT) has become a must to improve learning efficiency in vocational education institutions. This article aims to explore how the use of technology can improve the learning experience of students in vocational schools. Literature studies are a series of research activities involving the collection, reading, recording, and processing of information from relevant written sources. As an example of a case study, we will review how vocational schools have successfully improved learning by using an online learning platform. With this platform, students can access learning materials, tasks, and exams online, as well as interact with teachers and fellow students through available discussion and collaboration features. The evaluation results showed significant improvements in student participation, material understanding, and overall academic results. The use of technology has brought a major change in the learning process in vocational schools. Abstract

This study aims to find out the main factors that contribute to blended learning management in Indonesia. The research is focused on identifying the management process which includes, planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the blended learning management program at SMAN 2 Jember, SMKN 1 Wanayasa Banjarnegara and SMP 1 Prambanan Yogyakarta. This research is qualitative descriptive research with a naturalistic approach. The results show that the four functions of the management process have a very large influence on the results of the blended learning management program. First, the planning of the blended learning program involves all school stakeholders, as well as through the creation of a regular schedule. Second, in terms of organizing blended learning programs, the school goes through the curriculum work process so that teachers fill out a daily journal, to monitor activities. Third, the implementation of the blended learning program based on the learning process in the classroom by providing materials and explanations, as well as information transformation through room meeting to do practice questions at home. Fourth, learning evaluation is carried out through google classroom for attitude knowledge, and practicum for skill aspects, as well as private universities and UAS. Blended learning management policies involving all school stakeholders, filling out daily journals, learning in the classroom and delivering material through room meetings can optimize the learning process in the post-covid-19 pandemic period.
