Abstract

Objective: This study examines teachers' digital competence in the technological era, its relevance to professional and educational contexts, and implications for educational development. Method: This research adopts a phenomenological approach to investigate and articulate the lived experiences of teachers regarding their digital competence in the era of technology. Result: The findings highlight four key dimensions of digital competence: (1) technological awareness, emphasizing the importance of technology in modern learning; (2) technical skills, encompassing mastery of digital tools and platforms; (3) digital collaboration, where informal learning enhances mutual support among teachers; and (4) adaptability, reflecting the ability to embrace new technologies. Novelty: A key novel finding is the critical role of informal learning in the workplace, which significantly contributes to enhancing teachers' digital competence. Effective strategies include continuous learning with mentorship, social support from colleagues and family, and leveraging digital media as a learning resource. Best practices such as workplace collaboration and family-supported learning foster holistic digital literacy development. Intrinsic motivation also drives successful technology adoption. This study recommends a holistic approach to developing teachers' digital competence through ongoing training, social support systems, and integrated technology use. Strengthening digital competencies promotes workforce readiness, enhances teaching quality, and improves student learning outcomes. In the context of Education 4.0, this development is pivotal for educational transformation and preparing the younger generation to thrive in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to investigates workforce readiness in Jakarta to adapt to green jobs as part of the broader transition toward a sustainable green economy. The research highlights the increasing urgency of addressing environmental challenges, such as climate change and pollution, by fostering sustainable development through green employment. The study employs a survey method involving 1,144 respondents from diverse demographic and educational backgrounds, analysing mental, behavioural, and skill readiness to adopt green jobs. Results indicate a high level of readiness for all three aspects. Mental readiness reflects strong awareness of environmental responsibility, though active engagement, such as reporting workplace violations, requires improvement. Behavioural readiness reveals support for sustainability initiatives, yet participation in labour unions remains low. Skill readiness demonstrates strong technical capabilities for sustainability practices, but stress management and interpersonal skills need enhancement. The study also identifies key sectors contributing to emission reductions, including agriculture, renewable energy, waste management, and construction, with varying potential across industries. Challenges persist, such as limited access to green technologies and insufficient stakeholder collaboration. Recommendations emphasize the integration of Green Human Resource Management, enhanced training programs, and supportive policies to accelerate green job creation and adoption. By fostering cooperation among government, industry, and education sectors, Jakarta can leverage its position as Indonesia's economic hub to pioneer sustainable practices and significantly contribute to global environmental goals.

Abstract

The inconsistent distribution of dividends is a unique phenomenon and it needs to be examined. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine ten predictors affecting dividend policy of the inconsistent distribution of dividends. This study used the purposive sampling method to analyze the data that were obtained from a total sample of 133 observation objects collected in the 19 real estates, property, and building construction companies listed on the IDX Between 2013 - 2019. Furthermore, the method used is hypotheses testing and statistical analysis tool used is the hierarchical multiple panel data regression with the Least Squares Dummy Variables. The results obtained from panel A are firm risk, financial leverage, and investment opportunity that affect the dividend policy. Meanwhile, the panel B results are company risk, financial leverage, investment opportunity, and previous dividend, although the previous dividend had no effect due to the different direction of influence. This study proves the determinants and relevance of the parametric statistical analysis in the inconsistent distribution of dividends. Moreover, it is useful for managerial practitioners to pay attention to predictors for increasing company performances and to ensure investors obtain optimal return of their dividend.

Abstract

Waste management remains one of the major environmental challenges faced by many countries, including Indonesia, as population growth and increasing human activities escalate the volume and diversity of waste generated. Community-based initiatives such as waste banks play a strategic role in supporting the 3R (reduce, reuse, recycle) principle and promoting circular economy practices. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Buncu ELHa Central Waste Bank Program and the level of public awareness regarding waste management in Hulu Sungai Utara Regency. The research was conducted from September to October 2025 using qualitative and quantitative approaches, with data collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Effectiveness was measured using a Likert-scale descriptive percentage method, while public awareness was assessed using a scoring technique. The results show that the effectiveness of the Buncu ELHa Central Waste Bank Program is categorized as very effective, with an average score of 81.77%, indicating optimal operational performance in waste sorting, collection, recording, and recycling processes. Community awareness also falls under the very aware category, with an average score of 82.07%, reflecting strong participation in waste sorting, saving, and information dissemination. Although the program’s contribution to the total managed waste volume remains relatively small (15.29 tons/year or 4.52% of total managed waste), it demonstrates positive behavioral changes and supports community empowerment in environmental management. The findings highlight the importance of strengthening institutional capacity, increasing socialization efforts, and enhancing supporting facilities to improve regional waste management performance.

Abstract

Majelis Taklim, as a non-formal religious education institution, plays an important role in strengthening social harmony in Indonesia, which is rich in ethnic, religious and cultural diversity. This institution not only spreads Islamic teachings, but also promotes the values of tolerance, equality, and moderate religiosity to build an egalitarian and harmonious multicultural society, amidst the challenges of intolerance and social polarization. This research aims to analyze the role and contribution of Majelis Taklim in fostering an egalitarian and religious multicultural society, as well as its relevance in answering modern challenges such as radicalism and lack of technological literacy. The research uses a qualitative approach with literature analysis of various studies related to Majelis Taklim, such as the works of Jamil et al. (2023)[11], Huda (2016)[6], and Sagala (2019). Data were collected from field research, government regulations, and reports of Majelis Taklim activities in various regions, analyzed thematically to identify its inclusive role and barriers. Research Results: Majelis Taklim, such as Intan Raudah in Garut and Al-Hidayah in Lampung, successfully promote tolerance through interfaith dialogue, socio-economic empowerment, and moderate education, reduce religious-based conflicts, and increase social cohesion. However, challenges such as non-standardized curriculum and low technological literacy need to be addressed through training and innovation. Research Benefits: This research provides practical recommendations to strengthen the role of Majelis Taklim as agents of multicultural education and social harmony, supporting inclusive education policies and equitable community development.
