Abstract

Cèpètan dance as one of arts of Karanggayam society is full of values in its performance. The values here means part of character values. Character values are indirectly able to internalize the actors that learn the Cèpètan dance. There is something interesting in this group, i.e. the dancers are children. It is hoped that the values behind this dance can build the children’s character. The research aimed at knowing the form of performance and internalization character values that reflect in Cèpètan dance. To analyze the internalization, the writer uses Koentjaraningrat’s theory (1990) about inheriting. The approach used in this research is qualitative with phenomenology design. The data collecting techniques are observation, interview, and literature observation. The data validity used triangulation technique, they are source triangulation, and method triangulation. The data was analyzed through reduction, presentation, and verification. From the results show that the character values of Cèpètan dance performance reflects the values of creativity, discipline, and responsibility.

Abstract

Retno Tanjung dance is a girl dance coming from the coastal areas of Central Java. It tells about the coastal area women's excitement and gratitude for the abundance of God's gift in the form of seafood. It is also a reflection of Tegal people's thoughts on how the sense of togetherness and the grateful feeling for God's gifts are important. Retno Tanjung dance as the identity dance of Tegal contains a message, meaning and value, one of which is the character education values that are hoped to be able to be conveyed to the society, understood, comprehended, and applied in the people's daily life. In order to analyze this character education values included in Retno Tanjung dance and to analyze the process of the dance to become the identity of the city of Tegal, this research was conducted. In accomplishing the research, the method applied was the qualitative interpretive method which uses interdisciplinary approach. Then, the techniques used to collect the data for the research used were observation, interview, and document study. To validate the data, the triangulation technique of data sources was also applied. Meanwhile, the process of making the dance as the identity dance of Tegal was studied by applying Alo Liliweri's cultural identity theory. The concept of dance basic elements by Jazuli and the concepts of character education values formulated by National Education Ministry were used to analyze the character education values in Retno Tanjung dance. The research result shows that there are some values of character education in the dance. Religious values can be seen in sembahan and Balangan Mega movements, the lyrics of the dance accompaniment, and the use of hijab as the dance costume. Another value is the care for enviroment value which can be seen in the tracat miring, miyak toya, nyerok mina, and piletan mina movements. Retno Tanjung dance as the identity dance of Tegal city can be seen from the behavioral patterns and language used. Kata kunci : Tari Identitas, Nilai Karakter, Retno Tanjung

Abstract

The Ludruk Karya Budaya art group is one of the largest groups in East Java. It still maintains the travesty in its performance. A travesty is a form of existence consisting of a set of female roles a man plays. It can be studied in terms of the form, symbol, and role in Ludruk Karya Budaya. The purpose of this study is related to the issues raised, namely revealing the problem, symbols, and the role of travesty in Ludruk Karya Budaya. This study uses a qualitative method. Qualitative research with the research approach used in this study is phenomenology. Data collection techniques used observation techniques, interviews, and document studies. The data validation technique uses source triangulation. Analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and data verification stages. The results of the study show the following. First, travesty is interpreted as a presentational symbol and a discursive symbol. The researcher analyzed the meaning of presentational and discursive symbols using Suzanne Langer's symbol theory. The researcher interprets the presentational symbol of a travesty in the clothes, makeup, dancing, singing, and stylizing like a woman, and the meaning of the discursive symbol is an abstraction that makes the travesty artist express an expression that can attract the audience's interest by using the appeal of a strange visual form of a travesty artist.

Abstract

Pengembangan model supervisi akademik berbasis evaluasi diri bagi guru SMA dilatarbelakangi pola kepengawasan yang masih kurang efektif.Tujuan penelitian adalah: 1) Mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis model faktual supervisi akademik; 2) Mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis tahapan pengembangan model SABED; 3) Menguji dan menganalisis validitas dan reliabilitas model SABED; 4) Menguji dan menganalisis kefektifan model SABED; dan 5) membuat buku panduan SABED. Metode penelitian adalah Research and Development mengacu teori Samsudi yang dibagi dalam tiga tahap yaitu tahap studi pendahuluan, tahap pengembangan dan tahap evaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kondisi faktual pelaksanaan supervisi akademik masih kurang efektif, tidak terjadwal dan tidak ada tindak lanjut. Pengembangan supervisi akademik yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan guru SMA adalah supervisi akademik berbasis evaluasi diri yang melibatkan pengawas, kepala sekolah, dan guru SMA yang disupervisi mulai dari tahap perencanaan sampai tindak lanjut. Hasil uji keefektifan menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan kemampuan guru SMA dalam mengajar sebelum perlakuan dan setelah perlakuan dengan taraf signifikan 0,012, sehingga pengembangan model SABED dinyatakan efektif untuk meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru SMA. Panduan pengembangan model SABED dapat menjadi pedoman bagi pengawas dan kepala sekolah dalam melakukan supervisi akademik dan guru SMA dapat menggunakan buku panduan untuk mengevaluasi diri dalam pengajaran dan untuk melengkapi dokumen pembelajaran.

Abstract

Assassement instruments of speaking skills used by teacher, not yet to able to describe students speaking skills. The teacher was also found to have no assessement rubrics. This developmental research aimed to produce teacher’s handbook in the form of valid, reliable, effective, and practical android based-student speaking skill assessment on learning Indonesian language at primary school. This research referred to Borg & Gall with 10 stages of development. However, this research only used until the ninth step. The findings showed that (1) based on expert judgment, the instrument was worthy to test with some revision, (2) empirical reliability of those four instruments both in small and large test scales was reliable, (3) the instrument construct validity was analyzed by Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), all of the constructs were valid, (4) the developed product an android based student speaking skill instrument development was valid, reliable, and practical. The judgment based on the homeclass teacher showed that the product was practice to assess student speaking skill.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui analisis pembelajaran tematik berbantuan WhatsApp Group pada peserta didik Madrasah Ibtidaiyah pada masa pandemi Covid-19. Dalam pembelajaran tematik berbantuan WhatsApp group didapatkan temuan dalam perencanaan pembelajaran, proses pembelajaran, evaluasi pembelajaran, hambatan pembelajaran dan upaya untuk menanggulanginya sehingga tercipta pembelajaran yang lebih bermakna dan mengajarkan pada kecakapan hidup dan kemandirian serta kesehatan dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian survei deskriptif berpendekatan kualitatif, dimana dalam teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan pedoman wawancara, dokumentasi dan lembar observasi terhadap subjek penelitian. Untuk keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa dalam perencanaan pembelajaran, guru menyiapkan RPP dan media yang disesuaikan dengan karakteristik peserta didik. Pada proses pembelajaran, guru dan peserta didik membuat grup untuk menunjang pembelajaran dan komunikasi. Evaluasi pembelajaran dilakukan dalam tiga ranah pembelajaran yakni afektif, kognitif dan psikomotorik.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an application product in the form of a valid, reliable, and practical cognitive assessment for Android. The research method is based on the ADDIE procedure, which consists of five stages: (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) implementation, and (5) evaluation. Students in the fifth grade of an elementary school in Pemalang Regency served as research subjects. The following instruments were used in this study: observation sheets, questionnaire sheets, android-based applications, questionnaires for needs analysis and practicality, and documentation sheets. This research employs both quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques. The results indicated that (1) expert evaluation of the product (expert judgment) suggested that the instrument was feasible to test on a small scale with revisions. (2) The ten instruments are empirically reliable in small- and large-scale trials. (3) Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) was used to determine the instrument's construct validity; all ten instrument constructs were valid. (4) The developed product takes the form of a functional Android application. The application product, which takes the form of an android-based cognitive assessment, demonstrates that it is valid, reliable, and practical.

Abstract

The image of women that is actualized through the construction of gender roles, positions, and adaptation processes in artistic expression through Sintren and Kuda Kepang performances is very different. In this regard, the research aims to: (1) explain the forms of art performances of Sintren and Kuda Kepang; and (2) explain the image of women in the art performances of Sintren and Kuda Kepang in the context of gender reality and aesthetic exploration. The research was conducted on the art of Sintren Ujung Gede in Pemalang Regency and Kuda Kepang Turonggoseto in Semarang Regency. The research data were collected using the techniques of (1) observation, (2) interviews, and (3) document studies. The validity of the research data was carried out using the confirmability technique. The study used an interactive model analysis procedure, which was carried out with the stages of data collection, data reduction, data classification, and drawing conclusions. The results show that: (1) Sintren and Kuda Kepang arts are forms of traditional folk-art performances in which there is a scene of trance. This art is usually performed on stage or open arena by involving women as players; (2) The presence of women in the Sintren performances is a requirement that traditionally must be fulfilled until now. On the other hand, in the Kuda Kepang performances, the presence of women is a new phenomenon that provides opportunities and freedom for women to express themselves through dance. In the Sintren performance, the position of women becomes the center, subject, and object during the performance process. As a result, changes in the function of arts often result in the exploitation of Sintren dancers. On the other hand, in the Kuda Kepang art, the involvement of women with all their adaptations provides a new space for resistance to the existing gender stereotypes.

Abstract

Development of Character Assessment Instruments for Elementary School Students in Sikka Regency in Mathematics Subjects Materials for Flat Shapes Based on Android Applications is a development research with the formulation of the problem, namely: The assessment model used by the teacher, Design of developing student character assessment instruments, Validity, Reliability and Practicality of student character assessment instruments on Android-based flat-building math subjects. The purpose of the study was to produce an instrument for assessing the character of elementary school students in Sikka Regency based on a valid, reliable, and practical android application. The research method uses research and development (R&D). The development using the Djemari Mardapi model was modified in three stages: the preliminary stage, the development stage, and the evaluation stage. The results of the study resulted in a teacher's guidebook and the application of student character assessment instruments in valid, reliable, and practical mathematics subjects, the instrument was validated by a validator to test the feasibility of the instrument, reliability was analyzed by intraclass correlation coefficients obtained by an average limited trial of 0.783. Large-scale trials average 0.868 and average measure 0.906. One-way ANOVA statistical test obtained a valid value of 0.85. Practicality test highest score 80 practical. In conclusion, the development research resulted in a teacher's guidebook and an application for character assessment for elementary school students in mathematics. Suggestions for teachers to use guidebooks and applications that have been downloaded via Smartphones in classroom learning when conducting learning evaluations.

Abstract

Every product from the food and agriculture industry produces waste that can cause environmental pollution when carelessly discarded. Coffee husk and pulp are the main wastes generated by coffee processing. The secondary metabolites in these wastes can still be utilized, but their level can be affected by long storage. This research aims to determine the differences in the compounds obtained from old and fresh Gayo Arabica coffee pulp and husk. Coffee husk and pulp samples from Gayo Arabica coffee are extracted for GC-MS analysis to determine similarities between fresh and long-term stored Gayo Arabica coffee husk and pulp. Results show differences in level and type among the secondary metabolites. Among various compounds, caffeine is found in all the samples. The compounds obtained from Gayo Arabica coffee husk and pulp, such as caffeine, (Z,Z)-9,12-octadecadienoic acid, and palmitic acid, can be used in health and agriculture.
