Abstract

Muslim intellectual figures argue that the current crisis of modern society is Western education is based on a more materialistic and secularistic view of world, which considers that education is not to make human beings wise, it is to recognize their respective positions in the reality of order and view reality as something that is materially meaningful to humans, and therefore human relations with the reality of reality are exploitative rather than harmonious. This modern humanitarian crisis was criticized by schoolars who later led to the post-modernism. Postmodernism offers a new mind that is tolerant of plurality, demolition and locality. Post-modernism also does not get a way out to unravel the humanitarian crisis. So, many parties try to turn back to religion. One Muslim scholar who was concerned about trying to find a solution to the humanitarian crisis was Ismail Raji al-Faruqi. Al-Faruqi argued that modern knowledge gave rise to contradictions of revelation and reason among Muslims. The Separating thoughts from action, as well as the existence of cultural and religious dualism. Therefore, al-Faruqi argued that the need for Islamization of knowledge and efforts was moving from monotheism. This means that Islamic knowledge always emphasizes the unity of the universe, the unity of truth and knowledge and the unity of life.

Abstract

The hegemonic challenges of Western globalization have caused serious impacts on the future of Islamic education. This reality must be realized by Muslims and more specifically those involved in the world of education. For this reason, there is an anticipatory and alternative tactical and strategic step to free themselves from the hegemonic grip of Western globalization. The conception of Islamic model education does not only see education as an attempt to "educate" only (intellectual education, intelligence), but in line with the Islamic concept of human beings and their essence of existence. Therefore, the formulation of the vision, mission and objectives of Islamic education is expected to be more problematic, strategic, anticipatory, touch the application aspects and can touch the needs of the community or use of graduates. That is, Islamic education seeks to build people and society as a whole and thoroughly (insan kamil) in all aspects of a cultured and civilized life that is reflected in the lives of pious and faithful people, democratic and independent, knowledgeable, skilled, work ethic and professional, pious charity, personality, graceful morality and moral character, capable of innovation and access to change and competitive and cooperative abilities in the global era and local thinking in obtaining world welfare and the hereafter.

Abstract

Betore is one of the oral traditions in Paser Regency, East Kalimantan. This cultural practice is on the brink of extinction as only a few elderly individuals are capable of performing it. Originally used by the Paser community, specifically by young people, Betore served as a means of communication during rice harvesting in the fields and also provided entertainment amidst the fields. The process of Betore involves a responsive exchange of speech with specific themes. The resulting utterances in Betore emerge spontaneously following the evolving theme, making it an anonymous form of expression. Betore and rice harvesting are inseparable, and as a consequence, this oral tradition is increasingly eroded due to the dwindling dry agricultural land in Paser Regency. Betore can be categorized as an ancient poem since it embodies the form, meaning, and function of traditional literature. Betore follows an a-b-a and a-b-c rhyme scheme. This rhyme structure is somewhat distinct from other ancient poems in the Indonesian archipelago, although Betore appears to be more similar to talibun. The functions of Betore encompass recreational, didactic, aesthetic, moral, and religious aspects. Regarding meaning, Betore conveys advice, satire, and religious messages. Betore implicitly holds social values, promoting fraternity, unity, and togetherness.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to evaluate fatwa on the Wahhabite interpretation of the ambiguous verses in the Qur’an given in 2014. Classical Muslim scholars respected the intellectual freedom of the other theological schools as long as their interpretations did not attribute human characteristics to God. However, this intellectual tolerance is not demonstrated by the Ulama Council in Aceh, Indonesia today, which only accepts their interpretation of the Qur’an. Rival interpretations propagated by other ideological groups, such as the Wahhabites, are ruled as blasphemous and deserve public outcries of condemnation. It seems that the Ulama Council in Aceh has instrumentalized the Shari‘a to suppress any ideas that are not in line with the Ash‘arite creed, even though there are other legitimate schools and approaches. Any group that promotes a different view is now liable to public condemnation.

Abstract

Scientific construction or methodology of knowledge certainly has to do with some understanding of how a person seeks knowledge. Included in it will be mentioned how a person's mind or physical condition in seeking knowledge, aspects that can support a person in sharpening his memory in seeking knowledge and some things that can cause a person's brain to easily forget learning material. The purpose of this article is to revive the concept of scientific order based on some of the classic books of earlier scholars. The research methodology used is a literature review method of summaries of Arabic books that have been translated into Indonesian that have discussed the methodology of science in education. The results of this literature review confirm that the authors of classical books from previous scholars combined educational theory with fiqh and moral studies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang nilai-nilai dan norma Bissu dalam konteks budaya ritual Maggiri di kabupaten tersebut. Segeri, Kab. Pangkep. Bissu, sebagai kelompok masyarakat adat yang berperan penting dalam menjaga tradisi dan ritual keagamaan,. Metode etnografi digunakan untuk menggali secara mendalam bagaimana komunikasi pada masyarakat Bissu dibentuk dan membentuk struktur sosial dan norma budayanya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan gaya penelitian lapangan. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah Bissu yang ada di Segeri. Teknik memeperoleh data menggunakan dokumentasi, observasi, wawancara dan literatur. Hasil temuan mengindikasikan bahwa nilai-nilai terpenting yang dimiliki masyarakat Bissu meliputi spiritualitas yang diungkapkan dalam doa atau nyanyian dan penghormatan terhadap leluhur melalui berbagai upacara kehormatan. Norma sosial yang mengatur tingkah laku dan interaksi dalam suatu masyarakat serta menjamin keselarasan dan ketertiban dalam pelaksanaan ritual Maggiri; Kata Kunci: Bissu, nilai nilai dan norma, Maggiri

Abstract

The difference between the religious orientation of the shari'ah and Tariqah has implications in the form of tensions and polemics between them with mutual alleges that his opponent is manipulative, religion, therefore they are called heretics. Instead, they are fighting over a claim as the most correct. Accordingly, Ibn Taymiyya asked many critical responses in many ways which is no exception about Sufism. At least there are two things that as the core ideas of Sufism of Ibn Taymiyyah. The second thing is about the validity of Sufism as a way to take the truth (Sufism), as well as the practices of Sufism and growing congregation that time. In assessing Sufism, Ibn Taymiyyah is more moderate (take the middle path), between those who consider Sufism as the only way to get closer to the true God, and those who consider it heresy. According to Ibn Taymiyyah, the best attitude in assessing Sufism or everything else is receiving things in accordance with the Qur'an and Assunnah and reject the things that are contrary to both. While the Practice of Sufism (the Order). Ibn Taymiyya admitted that the trustee has the miracles, but it does not guarantee that person become Ma'shum of errors, and not exempt from the Shari'ah.

Abstract

General science (science) growing rapidly while the decline of Islamic science, which in the end came the dichotomy between the two disciplines. Not only here but there are also the secularization of science. But secularization of science has been challenged by the Church. Awarding a penalty to the scientists who dare to be different views with the Church to trigger the birth of science that separates itself from religious doctrine. This condition motivates Muslim scholars try hard to re-integrate science and religion. Thinking about integration or the Islamization of science today is carried out by Muslim intellectuals, can not be separated from religious awareness. In totality amid hectic global world that is loaded with the progress of science and technology. Real science is the result of a human reading the verses of Allah, losing the dimension of spirituality, then berkembangkanlah science or science that has no connection with religion. It is not surprising then that the science and technology that should benefit as much as possible for human life turned out to be a tool used for temporary interest that it be a "cause" adverse human calamity. To achieve these objectives it is necessary to do an effort to integrate general sciences with the Islamic sciences, general sciences that are not value free or secular. Interdisciplinary approach and inter connectivity between the disciplines of religion and the public need to be built and developed continuously without unrelenting.

Abstract

Industri tahu termasuk salah satu industri yang banyak di Indonesia. Kegiatan industri tahu di Indonesia didominasi oleh usaha-usaha skala kecil, salah satunya adalah UMKM Tahu Siip Pariyem yang berada di Desa Sumurrejo, Kecamatan Gunungpati, Kota Semarang, Jawa Tengah. Salah satu dampak negatif dari industri tahu ini yaitu pembuangan limbah cair tahu yang dibuang langsung ke lingkungan sehingga dapat menyebabkan pencemaran bagi lingkungan perairan. Permasalahan utama yang diangkat pada pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah UMKM Tahu Siip Pariyem Sumurejo belum mampu mengolah limbah tahu menjadi produk berwirausaha; penggunaan pupuk oleh pemilik dan pegawai UMKM Tahu Siip Pariyem untuk memupuk tanaman adalah pupuk kimia yang mengurangi kesuburan tanah; dan pemasaran produk UMKM Tahu Siip Pariyem Sumurejo masih terbatas di wilayah sekitarnya dan secara manual. Oleh karena itu, dari semua permasalahan tersebut pengabdian masyarakat ini memberikan edukasi mengenai pengolahan limbah cair tahu menjadi pupuk organik cair dengan penambahan EM-4 dan membantu memasarkan pupuk tersebut dengan cara digital melalui kartu nama dan leaflet.

Abstract

In mathematics, especially Arithmetic, there is a theory of numbers that can represent philosophical values. Mathematics is often presented with materialist values without deep meaning. One group of classical philosophers with mathematical thoughts, especially number theory, which explains the number material itself and relates it to meaningful philosophical values, is Ikhwān al-Ṣafā'. This research aims to reveal the philosophical values contained in the thought of the number. Using a qualitative research method based on a literature study approach, the researcher specifically examines the phenomenal book Rasā'il Ikhwān al-Ṣafā' as a primary source as well as other relevant references as secondary sources. The study found that in the number theory of Ikhwān al-Ṣafā', there are philosophical values such as monotheism described by the characteristics of the number one and the value of creation described by the sequence of the number ladder. This research initiates a discourse on the philosophy of numbers that previously has never been studied for it will serve as a pioneer for further research.
