Abstract

Reducing petroleum resources and environmental problems, alternative insulating oils with biodegradable characteristics have become an alternative. Esterification of palm-based oil is expected to provide better and optimum electrical properties. The esterification of palm oil will be carried out as a test sample and observed for its electrical, physical and chemical properties such as PD characteristics, breakdown voltage, dissipation factor, viscosity, flash point, etc. The effect of thermal aging on oil samples will also be carried out to simulate real situations in power transformer applications. Then after obtaining the best formulation from the sample it will be used as insulating oil in electric power transformers (100kVA). The purpose of this research is to apply esterified palm oil as an electric power transformer oil. The method used in this research includes field research. Field research includes taking oil samples, measuring the breakdown voltage of transformer oil, and the color of transformer oil. The results obtained are insulating oil for electric power transformers based on palm oil. Palm oil has the advantage of being an environmentally friendly, biodegradable and renewable oil compared to the transformer oil used today which is based on petroleum. With the realization of transformer oil based on palm oil, it is hoped that it can provide great economic opportunities for Indonesia as one of the largest palm oil producers in the world and can also provide added value and increase the competitiveness of the palm oil industry in the future.

Abstract

Traditional ritual is a kind of expression of art and culture as well as a form of human appreciation of nature, gained through long term and perpetual processes. Traditional ritual thus can thus be regarded as traditional wisdom. Kawin Cai is one of the traditional rituals in Kuningan society derived from inter religious views. Through this ritual we could tell that the people respect their natural environment for sustainable living. Nonetheless, most of the symbolic practices in the ritual are no longer understood by the people, so that anthropological approach is needed to interpret them.

Abstract

Diabetes is a chronic disease caused by impaired glucose metabolism in the body. In type 1 diabetes, the body's immune system attacks and destroys the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas, so that the body is unable to produce sufficient amounts of insulin. In type 2 diabetes, the body is still able to produce insulin, but is unable to use it effectively. Insulin is a hormone that is useful for controlling glucose in blood cells. If glucose in the blood is not controlled it can cause a number of problems, such as heart disease, stroke, blindness, nerve damage and so on. So the research in this study formulated an increase in accuracy in the diabetes detection process using the Deep Neural Network (DNN) method which was enhanced with the chi-square and PSO methods through the attribute selection process. The results of testing the PIMA dataset with DNN obtained an accuracy value of 76.62% with an AUC value of 0.772. Meanwhile, testing using the DNN method for attribute selection using the Chi-square method and optimization with PSO obtained an accuracy value of 85.71% with an AUC value of 0.818. So it can be concluded from testing diabetes data using the Deep Neural Network method which adds Chi-square as a selection attribute and is optimized using PSO which is better when compared to the DNN method.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran penyuluh sebagai fasilitator dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat petani padi di Desa Naas Kecamatan Malaka Barat Kabupaten Malaka. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Naas, Kecamatan Malaka Barat, Kabupaten Malaka. Informan dalam penelitian ini, menggunakan teknik purposive. Sumber data yang digunakan peneliti dalam melakukan penelitian ini meliputi sumber data primer dan sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan 3 (tiga) cara yaitu observasi, wawancara mendalam dan studi doktoral. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian tentang peran penyuluh dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat kelompok tani sebagai motivator, penyuluh memiliki peran dalam memberikan motivasi seperti yang dilakukan penyuluh lainnya. Padahal motivasi yang diberikan dari penyuluh kepada kelompok terjadi secara maksimal dalam meningkatkan produksi padi sehingga tergolong dalam kategori sedang; Namun kelompok tani sebagai penyuluh terlatih mendapatkan apa yang diharapkan dari peran penyuluh sebagai fasilitator, namun keberlanjutan yang diperoleh dalam meningkatkan produksi petani belum diperoleh secara maksimal sehingga tergolong dalam kategori sedang; terjadi secara optimal seperti yang diharapkan oleh petani sehingga tergolong dalam kategori sedang.

Abstract

Community empowerment is an effort to increase the dignity of the community so that they are able to escape the shackles of poverty. According to the theory of community empowerment put forward by Jim Ife, empowerment can be said to have run optimally when the four perspectives, namely the pluralist perspective, elitist perspective, structuralist perspective, and post-structuralist perspective, are applied simultaneously. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the four perspectives proposed by Jim Ife in the theory of community empowerment at PKBM Bintang Flobamora. This research method uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. The research location is PKBM Bintang Flobamora, Kupang City. The subjects in this study were the heads and staff of PKBM Bintang Flobamora, instructors and learning residents of PKBM Bintang Flobamora. Collecting data using interview techniques, observation, and documentation studies. Data analysis techniques in the form of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The triangulation used to explain the validity of the data is source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results of the study show that PKBM Bintang Flobamora has implemented the four empowerment perspectives. From a pluralist perspective, services such as computer course training have been provided, then from an elitist perspective, PKBM Bintang Flobamora has collaborated with various parties such as the education office, religious institutions, and also government agencies. Then, from a structuralist perspective, PKBM Bintang Flobamora has generalized all services for every learning citizen. And the post-structuralist perspective of PKBM Bintang Flobamora does not only focus on computer course training, but also provides other guidance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the four perspectives that have been put forward by Jim Ife in the theory of community empowerment at the Karya Wanita Social Institution, Naibonat. This research method uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The subjects in this study were heads and staff of social institutions, assisted residents of social institutions, former assisted members, instructors, and parties from other institutions that work with social institutions. The research findings show that the four perspectives that have been put forward by Jim Ife, have been running in social institutions, as in the pluralist perspective, services have been provided such as sewing training and also social, physical, mental, and management guidance, then in the elitist perspective of the orphanage social services have collaborated with various parties such as social services, religious institutions, and also health agencies, then from a structuralist perspective the social institution has generalized all services for every inmate, and finally the post-structuralist perspective of the orphanage does not only focus on sewing training, but also provides other guidance.

Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this study is how women's personal and professional life skills are enhanced by the Buna Batu Nona Weaving group. The purpose of this study was to identify the personal and professional life skills of women in the Buna Batu Nona weaving group. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. This research was conducted in the Buna Batu Nona Weaving group at RT/01 RW/01 Oesapa Village. A targeted sampling technique was used to identify the whistleblowers, which then identified three individuals, including a person responsible for the work area, a leader of the web group, and a member of the group. Data collection techniques used include observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study show that there are two (2) skills, namely personal life skills and professional life skills. Personal life skills have three indicators: 1. self-confidence, 2. rational/initiative thinking skills and 3. independence. Professional skills include the process of Buna weaving. Abstract

Community empowerment through the cultivation of red ginger plants in Watunay Village, West Golewa District, Ngada Regency is an empowerment program that aims to help the community improve the economy and rise from economic downturn. The purpose of the study was to find out how community empowerment through the cultivation of red ginger plants in Watunay Village, West Golewa District, Ngada Regency. This type of research uses qualitative research with descriptive methods. The data collection method uses interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. Validity of research data using triangulation of sources and techniques. The results showed that the community empowerment program through the cultivation of red ginger plants in Watunay Village is an effort to create an atmosphere or climate that allows the community to develop (Enabling) by providing encouragement to the community in the form of providing funds, mentoring efforts and holding activities, and providing motivation. However, there has been no effort to strengthen the potential that is already owned (Empowering) in the form of providing facilities and markets. The community empowerment program through the cultivation of red ginger plants in Watunay Village also makes efforts to protect economically weak communities (Protecting) by prioritizing weak communities. In the community empowerment program through red ginger cultivation in Watunay Village, it still cannot help the community improve the economy because it has not had a significant impact on the community's economy.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to assess the extent to which the capital structure and profit of a company affect the value of a company and increase the prosperity of shareholders with a non-behavioral observation method of secondary data types entitled the influence of Economic Value Added and Market Value Added to the value of the company in the food and beverage sub sector registered on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014-2018. For hypothesis testing using the F test, t test and coefficient of determination. T test is used to test hypotheses simultaneously, F test is used to test hypotheses partially, while the coefficient of determination is used to test how much the role of independent variables (EVA) and (MVA) together explain the changes that occur in the dependent variable (Company Value ). Abstract

Pekerjaan pemanen sawit di Perkebunan PT X dilakukan setiap hari dengan lama kerja lebih dari 8 jam setiap harinya. Setiap tenaga kerja perhari melaksanakan pekerjaan sebanyak 2 hektar dengan jumlah tanaman sebanyak 250 pohon sawit. Tanaman yang pohonnya tinggi dan jauh sehingga membuat pekerja terutama para pemanen harus berjalan sehingga mengalami kelelahan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Kuantitatif Deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah 278 orang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 86 orang dari hasil ukur menggunakan tabel ketentuan krejcie. Analisis bivariat menggunakan uji chi square, secara signifikan terdapat hubungan antara umur dengan kelelahan pada pemanen sawit yang menunjukkan ρ 0,00 < 0,05 dengan OR = 68,00 (95% CI = 16,34 – 283,04) dan terdapat hubungan antara masa kerja dengan kelelahan pada pemanen sawit dengan ρ 0,00 < 0,05 dengan OR = 13,21 (95% CI = 4,63 – 37,73). Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini adalah ada hubungan antara umur dan masa kerja dengan kelelahan pada pemanen sawit. Untuk mengurangi kelelahan dapat merotasi pekerja pemanen sawit yang berumur > 43 tahun yang memiliki masa kerja > 14 tahun ke bagian pekerjaan yang ringan, misalnya kebagian pemeliharaan ataupun penyemprotan.
