This research aims to describe the contribution of women as digital literacy activists and the form of community activities. This research is a phenomenological research, which describes the phenomena that occur with a qualitative approach, descriptive analysis and data collection techniques of interviews, literature studies and documentation. The results of the study were obtained in the form of motivation, contribution and activity of women in digital literacy. Women's motivation is due to an internal drive in the form of self-actualization, values, awareness and empathy. The external impetus is due to the phenomenon of low interest in reading, the influence of social media and the urgency of community education. The form of contribution is in the form of commitment, time, material, ideas and innovation. Forms of digital literacy activities such as reading, writing, discussing and appreciating literary works with a series of activities arranged and agreed upon together and guided by contributors or collaborating with other parties. The implication of the results of this study is that it can be used as a consideration for stakeholders to give appreciation in the form of awards to women digital literacy activists. Providing legal assistance for the legality of digital literary literacy communities, as well as funds for activities and the creation of literary works. Another thing is as a basis for follow-up to hold certified and nationally recognized training or seminars.

The rise of cases of sexual violence against children in the world of education has become the focus of social cases that cannot be separated from cyber mass media coverage in Indonesia. Journalists occupy an important position because they represent information through the language they use to cover an event. Sexism is a form of language that risks being attached, especially in reporting on the marginalization of a gender. This study analyzes indirect sexism in cyber mass media with the highest readership in Indonesia using critical insight analysis from the Sara Mills approach and is a qualitative descriptive study. The results of this study found that the journalist's position in the news is a role in which the writer indirectly avoids perpetuating sexism by depicting the perpetrators of sexual assault. The indirect use of sexism by Indonesian online media journalists in reporting the case of sexual harassment of children/female students committed by an individual in charge of an Islamic boarding school in East Lombok is a form of representing the sexism exercised by the perpetrators against their victims. The indirect sexism employed by journalists shifts the focus of the news onto the victims of sexual harassment, ranging from the victims themselves to their families.

Reading literacy has a very important role for women. Both in a personal context, as well as in the family and community environment. Reading skills allow women to access the information and knowledge needed to improve their self-competence. Women who have good reading skills can play a role in improving the quality of their children's education. This study aims to describe the role of Nasyiatul Aisyiyah in improving women's reading literacy skills and its impact on women's reading literacy skills in Bogor Regency. This research was conducted with members of Nasyiatul Aisyiyah in Bogor Regency. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. Data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The collected data is analyzed qualitatively through a comprehensive data identification and analysis process. To ensure the reliability of the data, the researcher used the triangulation method. The results of the study show that the structured reading literacy program initiated by Nasyiatul has successfully contributed to improving women's reading skills, especially Nasyiatul Aisyiyah members in Bogor Regency. This program not only provides benefits in literacy, but also supports the development of broader life skills, so that women become more prepared and empowered in facing challenges in society.

This research aims to analyze the early reading difficulties of second-grade elementary school students using the EGRA (Early Grade Reading Assessment) test. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach involving 20 second-grade students from several elementary schools. The instrument is based on the EGRA test as a measure to identify the level of early reading ability of students. The results show students' difficulties in early reading, including letter recognition, reading text recognition, word comprehension problems, and reading fluency. Data analysis also shows differences in reading ability levels among students, with most facing challenges in accurately identifying and understanding words. The implications of this research emphasize the need for developing appropriate teaching strategies to help students overcome their reading difficulties. This study is expected to contribute to developing more effective early literacy programs and support students' progress in reading at the primary education level.

Literacy has become a major component of learning. In early elementary schools, children must be taught early reading skills to build a higher grades literacy foundation. The teacher determines literacy learning performance in the classroom because it plays a vital role in the front line of learning. The main objective of this research was to describe the process of learning literacy in elementary schools. This study used a survey method involving five principals and thirty elementary school teachers. Interviews were used as instruments to describe literacy learning in elementary school. Data obtained from the field were tabulated and presented. This study showed that the methods or models and learning media used by the teacher were different. The teacher had also shown an effort to increase children's motivation in participating in literacy learning.Keywords: Early literacy, early grade elementary school, elementary school teachers.

Environmental literacy play a crucial role in instilling awareness in children about the importance of protecting the environment. The aim of this study was to describe the learning profile that has an impact on environmental literacy of elementary school students. This research used descriptive qualitative research. The sources of data in this study are 4 elementary schools in Subang Regency from 4 different sub-districts. The data collected was data regarding the profile of students' environmental literacy learning in the Elementary School by focusing on the profile of environmental knowledge, attitudes, and environmental behavior based on environmental literacy measurements. Data collection techniques were carried out by triangulation (combined) through interview and survey techniques. The instruments used in this research were interview guidelines and questionnaires/questionnaires. The data analysis technique was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This research showed that: 1) Environmental knowledge profiles in school local content have been well applied in the curriculum which can be seen in the conditioning of the learning environment that blends with nature, and 2) The profile of environmental attitudes and behavior in learning has been well integrated at every grade level, as evidenced by the collaboration between students in protecting the environment. This study recommends educators to focus on environmental literacy to renew their understanding of the importance of protecting the environment and forming social awareness of the surrounding environment. A suggestion for further research is to investigate this trend among public or private schools in several regions of Indonesia.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh bahan ajar berbasis teknologi terhadap motivasi membaca siswa SMP. Menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen pretest-posttest control group, penelitian ini membandingkan dua kelompok: kelompok eksperimen yang diberikan bahan ajar berbasis teknologi interaktif dan kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan bahan ajar konvensional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi membaca yang signifikan pada kelompok eksperimen dibandingkan kelompok kontrol. Analisis uji t menunjukkan perubahan motivasi membaca pada kelompok eksperimen (p = 0,001) lebih besar daripada kelompok kontrol (p = 0,123). Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa bahan ajar berbasis teknologi dapat secara signifikan meningkatkan motivasi membaca siswa SMP, yang berdampak positif terhadap keterlibatan dan hasil belajar mereka. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, penelitian ini merekomendasikan integrasi teknologi dalam pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan kualitas pendidikan di sekolah.

This study aims to describe the profile of viewing learning activities at the junior high school level and map the needs of teachers in teaching the skill. The methods used in this research are descriptive qualitative methods and literature review. Primary data in this study was obtained through a semi-open questionnaire from 42 Indonesian language teachers at the junior high school level. Meanwhile, secondary data was obtained from the analysis results in previous studies with the help of the Publish or Perish application. The result of this research is the profile of viewing skills learning conducted by teachers and on previous research. From the analysis, it was found that the viewing skills learning carried out was still very limited. The presence of these constraints highlights the necessity for creating educational resources, organized lesson plans, assessments that genuinely evaluate students’ viewing abilities and teacher training. The findings of this study can significantly contribute to the advancement of learning models or strategies, teaching modules, supplementary materials, educational websites, or the creation of evaluations focused on visual literacy-based viewing skills for students, ensuring alignment with field requirements.

AbstractInternational students were frequently reported of culture shock issues when entering a new cultural environment. Cultural knowledge was often treated as an addendum which focused on learning facts about the target country. This article demonstrated culture shock that experienced by 7 international students, and also reviewed intercultural communicative language teaching (ICLT) in Indonesian language classrooms practiced by 6 language practitioners from 3 different universities in China. Using findings that emerged from a series of one-to-one interviews, the research explored practitioners’ current perspective of ICLT and how these understandings influenced their practices, including teaching materials, methods, and activities. The researcher discussed the possible causes of the status quo of ICLT in China, and went on to put forward suggestions that ICLT should be promoted in foreign language teaching as a successful mediator of intercultural dimension.AbstrakMahasiswa internasional sering dilaporkan tentang masalah kejutan budaya ketika memasuki lingkungan budaya baru. Pengetahuan budaya sering diperlakukan sebagai tambahan yang berfokus pada mempelajari fakta tentang negara sasaran. Artikel ini menunjukkan kejutan budaya yang dialami oleh 7 siswa internasional, dan juga mengulas pengajaran bahasa komunikatif antarbudaya (ICLT) di ruang kelas bahasa Indonesia yang dipraktikkan oleh 6 praktisi bahasa dari 3 universitas berbeda di Tiongkok. Menggunakan temuan yang muncul dari serangkaian wawancara satu-ke-satu, penelitian mengeksplorasi perspektif praktisi saat ini tentang ICLT dan bagaimana pemahaman ini mempengaruhi praktik mereka, termasuk bahan ajar, metode, dan kegiatan. Peneliti membahas kemungkinan penyebab status quo ICLT di Cina, dan kemudian mengajukan saran bahwa ICLT harus dipromosikan dalam pengajaran bahasa asing sebagai mediator sukses dimensi lintas budaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses pembelajaran membaca dan menulis permulaan menggunakan metode Montessori berbantuan media sandpaper letters pada siswa kelas 1 sekolah dasar dan untuk melihat implementasi metode Montessori berbantuan media sandpaper letters dalam upaya meningkatkan kemampuan membaca dan menulis permulaan siswa kelas 1 sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan menerapkan desain studi Non Equivalent Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas 1 SD Negeri 011 Peranap. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelas 1A sebagai kelas kontrol dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvesional, dan kelas 1B sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran Montessori berbantuan media sandpaper letters. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah tes dan dokumentasi sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas, dilanjutkan dengan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji mann-whitney dan uji NGain ternormalisasi. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa Asymp.Sig 0,000. Akibatnya H1 diterima jika Asymp.Sig < 0,05. Maka dapat dikatakan nilai sig lebih kecil dari < 0,05. Jadi dapat disimpulkan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada penggunaan metode Montessori berbantuan media sandpaper letters terhadap kemampuan membaca dan menulis permulaan pada siswa kelas 1 SD Negeri 011 Peranap tahun pelajaran 2024/2025.
