Abstract

The low quality of student innovation in preparing Student Creativity Program (PKM) proposals remains a challenge in higher education, caused by limited research experience, weak team collaboration, and low utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. This study aims to describe the implementation of an AI-based Co-Creation Learning model in improving students' abilities to prepare PKM proposals. This research used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, which was conducted in two cycles: the first cycle applied the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model, and the second cycle applied the AI- based Co-Creation Learning model. The results showed an increase in the students’ average scores from 86.1 in the first cycle to 88.4 in the second cycle, with a decrease in the standard deviation from 2.32 to 1.37. Inferential analysis using a paired samples t-test revealed a t-value of -9.25 with p < 0.001 and an effect size (Cohen’s d) of -1.46, indicating a statistically significant improvement in learning outcomes. This model effectively supports collaboration, creativity, and students' skills in developing more relevant PKM proposals. Thus, the implementation of the AI-based Co-Creation Learning model is effective in enhancing students’ innovation capacity and supports the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka policy in strengthening excellent human resources in the digital era.

Abstract

The purpose of this service discusses efforts to increase the capacity of teachers in writing scientific articles by utilising Artificial Intelligence (AI). Through an Action Research approach, teachers are directly involved in the process of improving and developing their abilities in digital literacy and scientific article writing techniques. The community service stage involves systematic steps to achieve the goal of improving teachers' ability to utilise AI. The results of the community service show an increase in teachers' ability to write scientific articles, which is expected to improve the quality of their scientific publications. With a better understanding of AI, teachers are expected to integrate this technology effectively in learning, creating a more innovative and adaptive learning environment. In conclusion, this service makes a real contribution in improving teachers' digital literacy and scientific article writing skills, and provides a foundation for the development of future service activities.

Abstract

The program proposes and evaluates the implementation of a training titled "Enhancing Competence in Back End Web Programming: JavaScript Training for Students" with the aim of preparing students in web programming competency in the back end domain. A preliminary study is conducted to analyze the initial competency level of students in JavaScript, which serves as the basis for designing a suitable training program. The program is implemented according to the established plan and schedule, while evaluation is carried out by monitoring participant participation and their responses during the socialization activities. The research results are expected to provide an understanding of the effectiveness of the program in enhancing JavaScript skills for back end website development. The conclusions drawn from this research are expected to provide a foundation for the development of students' web programming competencies, particularly in the use of JavaScript for back end development.

Abstract

Purpose – This study examines how metacognitive reasoning, organizational support, and socioeconomic status shape academic performance through the mediating role of intrinsic motivation in an artificial intelligence (AI) integrated learning environment. Design – A quantitative, cross-sectional design was employed. Data from 373 university students were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to evaluate relationships among the constructs. Findings – Metacognitive reasoning and organizational support significantly increased intrinsic motivation, which in turn positively affected academic performance. By contrast, socioeconomic status did not significantly influence intrinsic motivation or academic performance. Research implications – The results underscore the importance of cognitive and contextual supports in fostering student motivation and achievement. The nonsignificant effects of socioeconomic status warrant further investigation; future studies should explore additional individual and environmental factors that may shape academic outcomes in AI-enabled learning settings. Originality –  This research advances an inclusive and effective framework for digital learning in higher education by demonstrating the central role of metacognitive skills and institutional support in designing AI-enhanced strategies that cultivate students intrinsic motivation and academic success.

Abstract

As artificial intelligence increasingly permeates higher education systems worldwide, developing students' ethical awareness has become essential for responsible AI implementation. This study seeks to examine the connections between technical understanding, applied knowledge, and critical appraisal in shaping ethical awareness within the context of AI literacy. The study utilizes a quantitative method, applying Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to data gathered from 322 university students. The findings indicate that technical understanding has a direct favorable influence of 0.180 on ethical awareness, while applied knowledge demonstrates a stronger impact of 0.467. Critical appraisal serves as a significant complementary partial mediator, with indirect path coefficients of 0.083 for technical understanding and 0.155 for applied knowledge, strengthening their relationships with ethical awareness. This study concludes that AI literacy educational programs should not only emphasize technical and applied knowledge but also foster critical appraisal skills to promote ethical AI usage.

Abstract

The rapid shift towards digitalization, accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, requires a reassessment of problem-solving strategies in the education system. This study aims to investigate the interactions between Digital Competencies, Psychological Traits, Digital Readiness, and Awareness, and their combined influence on Learning Outcomes. The study utilized a quantitative, cross-sectional design, focusing on university students engaged in digital learning environments in higher education. Data were collected from 467 students through a validated online questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results revealed that Digital Competence and Psychological Traits significantly and positively influence Learning Outcomes, both directly and indirectly through the mediating role of Digital Readiness and Awareness. The findings emphasize the need for a holistic approach in education, which integrates technical skills and psychological readiness to enhance academic success in an increasingly digital learning environment. This study also highlights the need for further research with a longitudinal design to explore the long-term effects of digital competency and awareness interventions. Recommendations for future research include examining additional factors such as social support and technology access to further strengthen digital readiness and learning outcomes

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital menuntut guru untuk memiliki keterampilan dalam memanfaatkan media pembelajaran interaktif agar dapat menciptakan pembelajaran yang inovatif dan relevan dengan kebutuhan siswa abad ke-21. Namun, tingkat keterampilan digital guru di SMKS Handayani Sungguminasa Gowa masih berada pada tahap pengembangan dan membutuhkan peningkatan yang lebih optimal. Untuk menjawab tantangan ini, dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui hands-on training berbasis experiential learning menggunakan platform Magicschool sebagai alat bantu pembuatan konten interaktif. Pelatihan ini dirancang dalam empat tahap: concrete experience, reflective observation, abstract conceptualization, dan active experimentation. Hasil pretest menunjukkan keterampilan digital guru masih rendah, sedangkan hasil posttest menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dengan skor rata-rata 4,33 hingga 4,67. Analisis Paired Samples T-Test menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antara skor pretest dan posttest pada semua indikator (p < 0,001). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan hands-on berbasis experiential learning efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran digital. Dengan demikian, pelatihan ini dapat menjadi alternatif solusi dalam mengembangkan kompetensi guru dalam menghadapi tantangan transformasi pendidikan di era digital.

Abstract

Ubi jalar merupakan salah satu produk pangan yang memiliki kandungan gizi yang cukup lengkap dan memberikan banyak manfaat bagi tubuh. Mitra kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah Desa Sokkolia, Kecamatan Bontomarannu, Kabupaten Gowa, Sulawesi Selatan. Desa Sokkolia memiliki potensi yang sangat besar untuk dimanfaatkan dan diolah menjadi berbagai produk lain, seperti roti, biskuit, kiripik, dan sebagainya. Kegiatan Pengabdian dilaksanakan pada Bulan Agustus – November 2022 di Desa Sokkolia, Kabupaten Gowa. Metode Pengabdian terdiri dari ceramah, diskusi, praktek, dan evaluasi. Dari hasil evaluasi, diperoleh simpulan bahwa pengetahuan serta keterampilan warga Desa Sokkolia meningkat utamanya dalam pemanfaatan ubi jalar menjadi kripik berbagai rasa.

Abstract

Salah satu usaha agar mutu pendidikan di Indonesia dapat ditingkatkan adalah dengan memperbaiki proses belajar di dalam maupun di luar kelas. Proses belajar mengajar ini dapat diperbaiki salah satunya adalah dengan cara mengadakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). PTK merupakan hal yang sangat penting sehingga wajib ada pada semua sekolah-sekolah di Indonesia, salah satunya di SD 1 Centre Patalassang, Kabupaten Takalar. Metode Pelaksanaan Pengabdian yang dilakukan adalah ceramah, diskusi, serta evaluasi. Adapun hasil evaluasi dari pre-test dan post-test yang diperoleh adalah rata-rata skor jawaban peserta pelatihan sebesar 31,75 persen atau kategori rendah, sedangkan rata-rata skor jawaban post-test peserta pelatihan sebesar 87,41 persen kategori sangat tinggi. Ini berarti program ini dianggap berhasil karena skor jawaban post-test peserta pelatihan lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan skor jawaban pre-test.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk menggali potensi penggunaan teknologi dalam meningkatkan literasi digital di kalangan pelajar melalui pemanfaatan aplikasi Kinemaster sebagai alat pembelajaran yang inovatif. Literasi digital menjadi unsur kunci dalam kesuksesan individu dalam masyarakat berbasis teknologi informasi saat ini, dan penerapan teknologi multimedia seperti Kinemaster dapat berperan penting dalam mencapai tujuan ini. Metode yang digunakan dalam PKM ini adalah pelatihan kepada peserta, terutama pelajar dan guru, dalam penggunaan aplikasi Kinemaster untuk membuat konten multimedia yang mendukung pembelajaran. Peserta diajarkan cara mengedit video, menambahkan elemen-elemen multimedia, dan memproduksi materi pembelajaran yang menarik dengan aplikasi ini. Hasil dari kegiatan ini mencakup peningkatan keterampilan literasi digital peserta, peningkatan kemampuan mereka dalam memanfaatkan teknologi untuk tujuan pembelajaran, dan peningkatan minat mereka dalam eksplorasi kreatif melalui multimedia. Selain itu, PKM ini menghasilkan berbagai konten pembelajaran multimedia yang dapat digunakan oleh peserta sebagai sumber belajar tambahan dan dapat dibagikan dengan masyarakat secara lebih luas. PKM ini memberikan kontribusi positif dalam mengembangkan literasi digital di kalangan pelajar, memfasilitasi proses pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan berbasis teknologi, dan menciptakan kesempatan bagi peserta untuk menjadi produsen konten multimedia yang lebih terampil dan bertanggung jawab. Selain itu, pemanfaatan aplikasi Kinemaster sebagai alat pembelajaran dapat memberikan dampak positif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan melalui pendekatan yang lebih modern dan menarik.
