Abstract

This study is entitled "The Implementation of the Bamboo Dancing Cooperative Learning Model in Increasing Students' Learning Motivation in Fiqh Subjects in Class VIII B2 of Unismuh Makassar Junior High School." This study aims to determine the implementation of the bamboo dancing cooperative learning model and the increase in students' learning motivation after the model is implemented. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was carried out in the 2024/2025 academic year in two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings with the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 26 students of class VIII B2 of Unismuh Makassar Junior High School. Data collection was carried out through observation to obtain qualitative data and a learning motivation questionnaire to obtain quantitative data. Data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively using descriptive statistics in the form of averages and percentages. The results of the study showed an increase in students' learning motivation. In the pre-cycle stage, the average learning motivation was 68.92 with a completeness of 38.42%. In cycle I, it increased to 74.42 with a completion rate of 69.23%, and in cycle II, it increased again to 83.08 with a completion rate of 92.31%. Thus, the implementation of the bamboo dancing cooperative learning model has proven effective in increasing student learning motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the strategies of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in improving the Qur’anic reading ability of third-grade students at SDIT Ar-Rasyid Makassar City, to identify supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation, and to analyze the results of the applied strategies. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The research subjects consisted of PAI teachers, the principal, and third-grade students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and student checklist questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results indicate that Qur’anic reading instruction was implemented using the Ummi Method as the school’s primary approach. The strategies applied included direct instruction, talaqqi (face-to-face guided recitation), practice and repetition (tikrar), as well as habituation and role modeling. The learning process emphasized accurate pronunciation of makharij al-huruf, proper application of tajwid rules, fluency in recitation (tartil), and the development of proper manners in reading the Qur’an. Supporting factors included teacher competence and commitment, school policies, adequate facilities, and parental support. Inhibiting factors included differences in students’ initial abilities, limited instructional time, and insufficient learning assistance at home for some students. The implementation of these strategies demonstrated improvements in reading fluency, accuracy of tajwid, and students’ motivation to read the Qur’an regularly.

Abstract

Permasalahan penelitian ini adalah bagaimana upaya perempuan yang ditinggal mati suami (janda) dalam mewujudkan ketahanan keluarga di Kecamatan Pangkajene serta bagaimana tinjauan hukum Islam terhadap upaya tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis strategi perempuan janda dalam menjaga ketahanan keluarga dan menilai kesesuaiannya dengan prinsip-prinsip hukum Islam. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan teknik analisis data nonstatistik. Lokasi penelitian berada di Kecamatan Pangkajene dan dilakukan selama dua bulan. Sumber data meliputi data primer dan sekunder, dengan subjek penelitian perempuan janda, tokoh agama, dan masyarakat setempat. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dan dokumentasi, sedangkan teknik analisis data meliputi reduksi, penyajian, dan verifikasi kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perempuan janda berperan ganda sebagai pencari nafkah dan pengasuh anak, membagi waktu antara pekerjaan dan pengasuhan, serta membangun komunikasi dan nilai moral dalam keluarga. Tinjauan hukum Islam menegaskan bahwa upaya ini sesuai dengan prinsip tanggung jawab, perlindungan anak, dan pemeliharaan keluarga. Upaya perempuan janda mencerminkan ikhtiar menjaga keberlangsungan keluarga dan mendidik anak agar mandiri dan berakhlak baik. Kesimpulannya, (1) Perempuan yang ditinggal wafat suami di Kecamatan Pangkajene berupaya menjaga ketahanan keluarga dengan bekerja memenuhi kebutuhan ekonomi, mengasuh dan memperhatikan pendidikan anak, serta menanamkan nilai-nilai agama dan akhlak. Mereka juga menjaga komunikasi yang baik dengan anak agar keluarga tetap harmonis meskipun tanpa kehadiran ayah. (2) Tinjauan hukum Islam menunjukkan upaya tersebut sejalan dengan konsep ḥaḍānah dalam fiqh al-munākaḥāt, yaitu kewajiban orang tua memelihara, melindungi, dan mendidik anak sebagai amanah dari Allah SWT agar kebutuhan fisik, pendidikan, dan akhlaknya terpenuhi sehingga tumbuh menjadi pribadi yang mandiri dan berakhlak baik.

Abstract

Background: Tuberculosis (TB) remains a major public health problem that requires long-term treatment and sustained patient adherence. Non-adherence to TB therapy can lead to treatment failure and drug resistance, and is influenced by various factors, including family support as a key social determinant of health. Objective: To examine the association between family support and treatment adherence among tuberculosis (TB) patients. Methods: This quantitative observational study employed a cross-sectional design and was conducted among 120 pulmonary TB patients undergoing treatment at a primary health care facility. Data were collected using a family support questionnaire and a medication adherence scale (Morisky Medication Adherence Scale). Statistical analysis was performed using the Chi-square test with a significance level of p < 0.05. Results: The results showed that patients with good family support had significantly higher levels of medication adherence compared to those with poor family support (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Family support is significantly associated with treatment adherence in TB patients. These findings highlight the importance of incorporating family empowerment and involvement strategies into TB control programs to improve treatment adherence and outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model integrated with Deep Learning and STEAM approaches based on ethnomathematics in improving fifth-grade students’ reflective thinking skills on fraction material at SDN Kebraon 1 Surabaya. This research used a descriptive quantitative approach with pretest–posttest and student response questionnaires. The results showed a significant improvement in reflective thinking skills, indicated by moderate to high N-Gain scores. Students also gave positive responses, showing increased activeness, motivation, and better understanding of fraction concepts. Thus, this integrated approach is effective in creating meaningful and contextual learning.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students’ learning outcomes in presenting data in table form through the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model with a deep learning approach based on the environment. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in three cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were 21 third-grade students of SD Negeri Margorejo 5/407. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, observation sheets of students’ activities, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model with a deep learning approach based on the environment was able to improve students’ learning outcomes gradually. The percentage of students who achieved the high category increased from 28.57% in Cycle I to 47.62% in Cycle II, and reached 66.67% in Cycle III. Meanwhile, the percentage of students in the low category decreased from 38.10% in Cycle I to 23.81% in Cycle II, and 14.29% in Cycle III. In addition, students’ learning activities also improved, as students became more active in collecting, processing, and presenting data from their surrounding environment. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model with a deep learning approach based on the environment is effective in improving both students’ learning outcomes and engagement in learning data presentation in tables at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Background:  Cancer is one of the non-communicable diseases that causes significant anxiety in patients, both during the diagnosis process and treatment. This anxiety can affect the patient's quality of life, so a holistic approach is needed in treatment, including aspects of spirituality. Objective: The aim of this study was to identify the correlation between spirituality and anxiety levels of patients with cancer. Methods: This study was conducted quantitatively with a cross-sectional approach using sociodemographic questionnaire, Spiritual Well-Being Scale (SWBS), and Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS). This study involved 60 cancer patients in a hospital in Makassar. Results: Majority of respondents did not experience anxiety, amounting to 27 respondents (46.7%) and over half respondents had good spirituality level, which accounting for 31 (51.7%) respondents. In addition, the Chi Square test analysis obtained a p-value of 0.001, indicating that there was a significant correlation between spirituality and anxiety level of respondents. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between spirituality and anxiety levels of patients with cancer. Therefore, the integration of spiritual support in cancer care, especially chemotherapy and palliative patients, is highly recommended to improve the psychological well-being of patients.

Abstract

Educational transformation in the digital era requires elementary school teachers to integrate technology effectively into science instruction. Limited laboratory facilities, insufficient experience in using virtual laboratories, and suboptimal teacher competencies remain significant challenges in implementing inquiry- and practicum-based learning. This community service program aimed to enhance elementary school teachers' competencies in optimizing virtual laboratories to support adaptive and sustainable science learning. The program was organized by the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya, in collaboration with the Indonesian Teachers Association (PGRI) of Gondang District, Mojokerto Regency, from 13 to 19 June 2026, involving 35 elementary school teachers. The program employed a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach consisting of five stages: needs analysis, training, mentoring in instructional material development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. The needs analysis revealed that 94.3% of teachers were ready to implement virtual laboratories, 91.4% required mentoring, 88.6% needed training, and 77.1% had never used virtual laboratories. Program evaluation demonstrated a significant improvement in teachers' understanding, with the average score increasing from 61.8 in the pre-test to 87.6 in the post-test, representing a 25.8-point gain. Furthermore, 91.4% of teachers were able to operate virtual laboratory platforms independently, 94.3% successfully developed teaching modules aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum, and 88.6% effectively integrated virtual laboratories into classroom instruction. Classroom implementation also increased students' active participation and strengthened teachers' ability to facilitate technology-enhanced learning. Overall, the program effectively improved teachers' professional competencies, enhanced the quality of science education, and supported the development of adaptive and innovative.

Abstract

This research analyzes the use of deixis in the forms of sentences in the novella ‘Of Mice and Men’ by John Steinbeck. The purposes of this study are two: 1) to identify the types of deixis that appear in the novella, 2) to describe deixis used in within the novella. The research applies a descriptive qualitative. since the data are presented and analyzed in the form of words and utterances rather than numbers. The findings reveal five types of deixis used in the novella: person deixis, place deixis, time deixis, discourse deixis, and social deixis. In addition, the study shows the use of each deixis: person deixis has primary, social, referential and textual function. Place deixis has primary, psychological, and metaphorical function. Time deixis has primary, textual, and psychological function. Social deixis has primary, politeness, identity, and pragmatic function. Discourse has primary, cohesive, referential, and structuring function. From the 400 excerpts found by the researcher the most dominant are the primary function of person deixis with over 390 out of 400 excerpts, meanwhile the least dominant is pragmatic function of social deixis with over 1 out of 400 excerpts found by the researcher.

Abstract

Andi Mulyadi, This thesis discusses "The Application of the Thematic Learning Model to Improve Student Learning Outcomes in the Class VIII 2 Moral Creed Subject at MTs As'Adiayah Wajo Regency" This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of class VIII 2 students in the Moral Creed Subject by using Thematic learning model and to find out how to apply the thematic learning model in improving Aqidah Akhlak learning outcomes. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). In this research, the research subjects were class VIII 2 students at MTs As'Adiayah, Wajo Regency with a total of 30 students. The instrument used is observation, namely making direct observations of class VIII 2 students at MTs As'Adiyah Wajo Regency, interviews will be carried out by asking several questions to teachers in the Aqidah Akhlak field of study, and tests in the form of initial tests and final tests in the form of multiple choices. 10 questions. The results of the research that has been carried out show that student learning outcomes have increased. This increase can be seen through the cycles that have been carried out, where in the pre-cycle the average score of students was 63 (fair) with a completion percentage of 40%, then in cycle I the average score was 72.5 (good) with a completion percentage of 66. 66%, in cycle II the average score was 82.83 very good) with a completion percentage of 83.33%.
