Abstract

Effective and efficient population administration services are a primary requirement in improving the quality of public services. However, the manual queuing system currently used by the Population and Civil Registration Office (Disdukcapil) of Palangka Raya City often leads to public complaints due to long queues, extended waiting times, and a lack of accessible information regarding service procedures. This community service activity aims to address these issues through the implementation of an Android-based queuing application. The program began with a needs analysis and identification of the partner's problems through field observations and interviews with staff and service users, followed by training on the use of the application for employees at the Population and Civil Registration Office of Palangka Raya. The next phase involved the development and implementation of a digital queuing application that allows citizens to take queue numbers online. The application is designed so that users can digitally obtain their queue numbers, view estimated service times, and receive real-time notifications via their mobile devices. The results of this activity indicate that the digital queuing application significantly accelerates the service process and helps reduce crowding at the service location. Based on the results of an evaluation questionnaire distributed during the community service program, the application received high satisfaction ratings, reflecting its positive impact on digital service delivery.

Abstract

Langsa City has a river that runs through the city, namely the Krueng Langsa. Critical land will disrupt the land’s ability to regulate water management, flood control, and sedimentation in downstream areas. The method used by GIS is a weighted scoring analysis: the weighted overlay method, the scoring method, and the weighted overlay.   The weighted overlay is a spatial analysis technique that overlays multiple maps related to the factors affecting the vulnerability assessment. The analytical tool used is the geographic information system (GIS). The search parameters were the sloping map, the erosion risk map, the land use map, and the land management map. The results for land importance in the Langsa River showed that it falls into three categories: not important, potentially important, and slightly important. The most predominant land type was unimportant, covering 13,269.23 ha (65.31%), followed by potentially important land, covering 7,030.22 ha (34.60%). These two land importance criteria were found in Langsa Baro District, Langsa West District, Langsa Lama District, Langsa East District, and Langsa City District. “The Slightly Critical class is the smallest class which is only found in Langsa Lama District, specifically in Pondok Factory Village and Petow Village, which are geographically located between 04◦ 42’ 23.99” N – 04◦ 44’ 68.91” N North Latitude and 97◦ 91’ 86.81” E – 97◦ 90’41, 99” N with an area of 15.12 ha (0.07%).

Abstract

Abu Dzar Al Ghifary Chaer. The Use of the Learning Resource Book “Mudah dan Praktis Belajar Sharaf” in Enhancing Students’ Arabic Language Proficiency at Pondok Pesantren Darul Aman Gombara Makassar (Supervised by Prof. Dr. Hj. Nurlaelah, M.Hum and Dr. H. M. Ishaq Shamad, MA). Sharaf instruction plays a significant role in strengthening students’ Arabic morphological competence within the Islamic boarding school environment. However, Sharaf materials are often perceived as complex and abstract due to the similarity of tashrīf patterns and the systematic demands of word-form transformation. Therefore, the availability of structured and practical learning resources is essential to support effective instruction. Educators are required to select and utilize appropriate learning resources to facilitate comprehension and enhance student engagement in the learning process. This study aims to analyze the process of using the book Mudah dan Praktis Belajar Sharaf as a learning resource in Sharaf instruction at Pondok Pesantren Darul Aman Gombara Makassar. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques included data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the book was systematically integrated into both institutional policy and classroom instructional practices. It functioned as the primary reference for presenting tashrīf tables, gradual exercises, and reinforcement of morphological patterns. Teachers also implemented supporting strategies such as song-based memorization methods, quizzes, guided exercises, and group presentations to strengthen students’ understanding. The effectiveness of this learning resource was reflected in increased student participation, improved comprehension of tashrīf patterns, and more structured learning activities. Although several challenges were identified, including limited vocabulary mastery, heterogeneous student abilities, and limited instructional time, overall the use of the book Mudah dan Praktis Belajar Sharaf was considered effective in supporting Sharaf instruction at Pondok Pesantren Darul Aman Gombara Makassar.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate the effect of the ratio of penja flour (Sicyopterus spp.) and germinated rice flour on the organoleptic acceptance of local snack bars. Three formulations were tested: P1 (20% penja flour : 80% germinated rice flour), P2 (50% penja flour : 50% germinated rice flour) and P3 (80% penja flour : 20% germinated rice flour). Sprouted rice flour was made by soaking and fermenting until sprouts reached 0.1–0.2 cm; penja flour was obtained from steamed and dried penja fish; snack bars were baked (100°C for 60 minutes, then 120°C for 20 minutes). Organoleptic tests were conducted by 25 moderately trained panelists using a 1-5 hedonic scale (1 = strongly dislike to 5 = strongly like) for the attributes of color, aroma, taste, texture, and overall acceptance. The results showed that the flour composition had a significant effect on all sensory attributes; formulation P1 gave the highest scores for color (3.50), aroma (3.43), taste (3.33), texture (3.07), and overall acceptance (3.57), while P3 gave the lowest scores (overall acceptance 2.33). Formulation P1 (20% penja flour : 80% germinated rice flour) was more accepted by the panelists and has the potential to be developed as a nutritious local snack bar. Keywords:grain germination rice flour, penja fish flour, snack bar, organoleptic

Abstract

This study aims to describe the strategies of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in improving the Qur’anic reading ability of third-grade students at SDIT Ar-Rasyid Makassar City, to identify supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation, and to analyze the results of the applied strategies. This research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The research subjects consisted of PAI teachers, the principal, and third-grade students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and student checklist questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results indicate that Qur’anic reading instruction was implemented using the Ummi Method as the school’s primary approach. The strategies applied included direct instruction, talaqqi (face-to-face guided recitation), practice and repetition (tikrar), as well as habituation and role modeling. The learning process emphasized accurate pronunciation of makharij al-huruf, proper application of tajwid rules, fluency in recitation (tartil), and the development of proper manners in reading the Qur’an. Supporting factors included teacher competence and commitment, school policies, adequate facilities, and parental support. Inhibiting factors included differences in students’ initial abilities, limited instructional time, and insufficient learning assistance at home for some students. The implementation of these strategies demonstrated improvements in reading fluency, accuracy of tajwid, and students’ motivation to read the Qur’an regularly.
