Abstract

The Antang Final Disposal Site is a reality of life that not many people look into. The Makassar city rubbish dump is the final point for all rubbish trucks in the center of the city. Thus, the Antang Final Disposal Site becomes a center for landfills where it may take years to manage all the collected waste. Apart from being a place to collect rubbish, the Antang Final Disposal Site is also a place to earn a fortune for those who live there. Not a few depend on their profession as garbage collectors. Starting from the head of the family to their children and wives. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between factors and household production waste at the Antang Tamangapa Final Disposal Site, Makassar City. Based on the results of the research and discussion previously stated, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the variables of number of family members or household residents (p=0.029<0.05, OR=2.941), socio-economic status (p=0.035<0 .05, OR=2.909) with household waste production variables.

Abstract

The quality of fresh water found in several areas varies greatly depending on the geographical conditions of the region, in mountainous areas most of it contains limestone, in lowland or coastal areas generally the total dissolved solids (TDS) exceeds 500 mg/l while according to Minister of Health Decree no. : 416 of 1990 the maximum limit for TDS in clean water is 500 mg/l so this can be a health problem for residents living in the surrounding area. The aim is to determine the relationship between the provision of clean water facilities and the incidence of diarrhea in the work area of the Health Center. This type of research is analytical observational research, namely to determine the factors related to the provision of clean water and the incidence of diarrhea in the Puskesmas Work Area. Based on the results of the analysis using the chi-square formula, it was found that the value of P = 0.000 < α = 0.05 so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between water quality conditions from a physical aspect and the incidence of diarrhea in the work area of the Health Center. The conclusion is that there is a relationship between the physical quality of water and the incidence of diarrhea in the work area of the Health Center.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a degenerative disease that is closely related to diet therapy. Diet Therapy is a description of the types, amount and composition of food a person eats every day. An urban lifestyle with a diet pattern that is excessively high in fat, salt and sugar results in various diseases including diabetes mellitus. The aim of the research is to determine the effect of diet therapy and physical activity on blood sugar levels in diabetes mellitus patients. This research is a quantitative research using an observational approach with a cross sectional design, namely research by studying the correlation between risk factors and the effects they cause by approaching, observing or collecting data at one time. The results of the statistical analysis test show the chi-square test X2 = 4.022 or at a confidence level (α = 0.05) P-value 0.045. So it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between physical activity variables and blood sugar levels in diabetes mellitus patients. The Odd Ratio (OR) value = 3.3 (95% CI 0.090 – 1.002) meaning that less physical activity has a risk of developing Type II DM that is 3.3 times greater than those with less diet therapy.

Abstract

The cost of hospital services in Indonesia in general is a complex problem with many obstacles and we can see that the publication of cost information is often unclear. In Government Hospitals, in particular, budget allocations are still inadequate, this is due, among other things, to the costs that must be borne by the Hospital, especially equipment costs, operational and maintenance costs, which seem to tend to increase following advances in increasingly sophisticated health technology. The aim of the research is to obtain an overview of the cost sharing that will be incurred by Askes Social participants at Pelamonia Hospital and Islamic Faisal Hospital Makassar, reviewed in terms of additional costs incurred/types of patient inpatient treatment in terms of class/rank and linked to Regional Regulations. The type of research used is survey research with a descriptive approach, with the aim of obtaining information about cost sharing costs for health services in the inpatient unit of Pelamonia Hospital Makassar and Islamic Faisal Hospital Makassar. The results of this study and previous research show that patients participating in Askes tend to use nursing classes that are better than those specified. The conclusion is that the Cost Sharing for Social Health Insurance patients based on group/rank in the inpatient unit at Faisal Islamic Hospital is IDR 795,000,- while at Pelamonia Hospital Makassar it is IDR 1,125,000.

Abstract

The abuse of over-the-counter drugs and psychotropic substances among adolescents is a growing public health problem. Limited knowledge, high curiosity, and environmental influences are factors driving this risky behavior. This community service activity aims to provide health education to adolescents regarding the dangers of over-the-counter drug and psychotropic substance abuse. The implementation method was carried out through lectures, interactive discussions, and the distribution of educational leaflets. The results of the activity indicate an increase in adolescents' understanding of the negative impacts of drug abuse, as well as a growing awareness to avoid such behavior. This program is expected to be a preventative measure to reduce the rate of over-the-counter drug and psychotropic substance abuse among adolescents.
