Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan hubungan antara self-awareness dengan prestasi belajar remaja usia 14–15 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan angket, observasi, dan tes tertulis. Angket digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data kondisi self-awareness. Observasi digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data aktivitas belajar. Sementara itu, tes tertulis digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data hasil belajar. Subjek dalam penelitian adalah 30 peserta didik kelas IX-D SMPN 12 Surabaya. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa self-awareness, dengan kelima aspeknya, berkorelasi secara signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar peserta didik kelas IX-D SMP Negeri 12 Surabaya pada materi paragraf teks deskripsi secara holistik: (1) aspek menyadari emosi diri dan memahami kelebihan serta kekurangan diri berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar pada aspek kognitif; (2) aspek kemampuan reflektif dan pembentukan identitas diri yang terbuka berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar pada aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik; serta (3) aspek kepercayaan diri berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar pada aspek afektif dan psikomotorik. Abstract

Menulis merupakan kegiatan partisipatif aktif yang melibatkan berbagai proses untuk mengolah pesan agar dapat dipahami atau diterima oleh pembaca. Melalui Canva, dapat diketahui bentuk kreatif siswa dalam mengemas materi dalam bentuk poster. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menggunakan model Project Based Learning dalam pembelajaran pembuatan poster oleh siswa kelas VIII SMP. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami cara penggunaan, keunggulan, serta implikasi media Canva terhadap penerapan Project Based Learning untuk mengetahui keunggulan Canva sebagai media pembelajaran poster siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 40 Surabaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Canva memiliki kontribusi yang baik dalam pembelajaran menulis poster. Pada penelitian keunggulan Canva sebagai media pembelajaran poster siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 40 Surabaya diperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 78,56 dan nilai sebelum menggunakan Canva sebesar 70,16. Evaluasi ini merupakan kualifikasi yang baik dan merupakan peningkatan dibandingkan produksi poster sebelumnya. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan 25 siswa, 7 diantaranya berada pada kategori sangat baik 6 orang mendapat kategori “baik”. Sedangkan 11 siswa mendapat kategori “cukup baik” dan 1 siswa mendapat kategori “kurang”. Oleh karena itu, keunggulan Canva sebagai media pembelajaran memberikan dampak positif dan efektif terhadap penggunaan Canva oleh siswa saat membuat poster

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi proses berdasarkan gaya belajar peserta didik pada materi teks karya fiksi di kelas VIII-D SMP Negeri 36 Surabaya. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Objek penelitian ini peserta didik kelas VIII-D SMP Negeri 36 Surabaya. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan lembar pengamatan sebagai pengumpulan datanya, lembar kerja selama proses pembelajaran, dan bukti dokumentasi berupa foto kegiatan pembelajaran. Sumber data penelitian ini pendidik selaku peneliti. Instrumen penelitian ini berupa lembar kerja hasil belajar, lembar observasi, dan bukti dokumentasi selama proses pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil implementasi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi proses berdasarkan gaya belajar, nilai peserta didik selama proses pembelajaran memiliki kenaikan yang cukup signifikan. Nilai rata-rata yang diperoleh sebelum pelaksanaan implementasi berkisar 75-80. Namun, setelah pelaksanaan impementasi nilai rata-rata peserta didik menjadi 90-95. Peserta didik kelas VIII-D memiliki gaya belajar yang beragam seperti visual, auditori, dan kinestetik. Kata kunci: Gaya Belajar, Implementasi, Pembelajaran Berdiferensiasi Proses, Teks Karya Fiksi. Abstract This study aims to describe the implementation of differentiated learning process based on students' learning styles on fictional text material in class VIII-D of SMP Negeri 36 Surabaya. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive research type. The object of this research is students of class VIII-D of SMP Negeri 36 Surabaya. The data collection technique in this study uses observation sheets as data collection, worksheets during the learning process, and documentary evidence in the form of photos of learning activities. The data source for this study is the educator as the researcher. The research instruments are in the form of learning outcome worksheets, observation sheets, and documentary evidence during the learning process. Based on the results of the implementation of differentiated learning process based on learning styles, students' scores during the learning process have increased quite significantly. The average score obtained before the implementation ranged from 75-80. However, after the implementation, the average score of students became 90-95. Students in class VIII-D have various learning styles such as visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. Keywords: Learning Style, Implementation, Differentiated Learning Process, Fiction Text.

Abstract

Article writing is an important skill for teachers in professional development. However, junior high school Indonesian teachers in Surabaya face many obstacles in writing articles, among the obstacles are the teachers do not know the material that can be used as articles and the teachers do not know about the latest technology that can be utilized in writing articles. This mentoring activity aims to provide services for junior high school Indonesian language teachers in Surabaya in writing articles by utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. This activity was attended by 30 junior high school Indonesian language teachers in Surabaya, both private and public schools. The method of this mentoring activity consists of presentations, discussions, and practices in providing understanding and practical skills to junior high school Indonesian teachers in Surabaya. The results of the mentoring activities in Surabaya showed that 77.8% of the mentoring teachers did not know about articles and 66.7% of the mentoring teachers were not familiar with AI applications for article writing. In addition, the feedback results of the mentoring participants showed that the material was very suitable for the needs of the mentoring participants and the methods used during the mentoring were very effective.

Abstract

This article explores the intricate relationship between literature and culture through the lens of the Tedak Siten tradition, as depicted in the novel Hello by Tere Liye. Literature, as a mirror of societal life, reflects the values, traditions, and identities that shape communities, particularly in culturally diverse Indonesia. Using a non-interactive qualitative approach, this study analyzes cultural elements presented in the novel, such as rituals, traditional foods, and ceremonial tools. The Tedak Siten ritual is not merely a ceremonial event, but a profound cultural symbol representing communal hope and the social recognition of a child's growth. Furthermore, the use of traditional foods like tumpeng and culturally specific instruments reinforces collective identity. This study highlights the vital role of literature in preserving and promoting cultural heritage amid rapid modernization. It emphasizes how literary works can foster awareness, appreciation, and intergenerational transmission of local traditions. By examining Tere Liye’s narrative, this research contributes to cultural preservation efforts and underscores the importance of integrating cultural education into contemporary literary discourse.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the acrostic technique in learning to write geguritan (Javanese-language poetry) through a literature review approach. Writing geguritan is an essential part of Javanese language learning, which not only aims to improve language skills but also to preserve local cultural values that are increasingly eroded by the passage of time. In practice, many students face difficulties in writing geguritan, particularly in selecting appropriate diction, understanding traditional poetic structures, and using proper and accurate krama (formal) Javanese. The acrostic technique, which has previously been widely used in learning to write poetry in Indonesian, is believed to be a viable alternative solution to address these challenges. This technique helps students express their ideas in a structured manner by using the initial letters of each line as a guide, making the writing process easier and more directed. This study analyzes seven previous studies that employed the acrostic technique in teaching poetry writing, both in the context of the Indonesian and Javanese languages. The results show that the acrostic technique is effective in enhancing students' poetry writing skills across various educational levels, fostering creativity, increasing learning motivation, and assisting students in composing poems systematically and meaningfully.

Abstract

This study aims to 1) identify cognitive level features in articles written by lecturers in the field of language and its teaching based on Bloom and Anderson's taxonomy theory and 2) determine the cognitive dimensions represented in lecturers' articles. The type of research used is a descriptive analysis to describe the cognitive level in lecturers' articles on language and its teaching based on Bloom's revised taxonomy by Anderson. The data collection technique used reading comprehension and was analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results showed 1) C6 Creating was the cognitive level with the highest frequency in each feature, but the overall cognitive levels were correlated in constructing applicable, critical, reflective, and creative scientific writing patterns as knowledge and learning development and 2) The dominance of C6 indicates that lecturer articles are written at a high cognitive level, focusing on analytical, reflective, and creative aspects. This dynamic shows maturity in academic thinking by utilizing basic cognitive abilities and integrating higher-order thinking skills to develop scientific innovations. In conclusion, lecturers' articles in the field of language and its teaching have shown significant evolution in the process and cognitive dimensions.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to explore and analyze the various types of implicature found in the film's dialogue, as well as how these implicatures contribute to the understanding of the psychological themes presented. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, where data is collected through transcripts of conversations in the film and analyzed to identify conventional, non-conventional, and contextual implicatures. The results of the study show that this film not only presents an engaging story but also delves into the depths of the characters' emotions and psychological conflicts through meaningful dialogue. The identified implicatures provide insights into the relationships between characters and broader themes regarding human experiences, thereby enriching the audience's understanding of the psychological issues faced by individuals in social contexts, with several types of implicature being conventional, non-conventional, and contextual. This film raises an inspiring psychological theme.

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the novel entitled "Stigma" by Hindhi Astina based on Sigmund Freud concept of Literary Psychology. This novel depicts aspects of life in the personality of the character Aralya Rylie Millano who faces mental pressure that is severe enough to result in excessive anxiety. This research aims to analyze how the structure of the Id, Ego, and Superego plays a role in describing a character's personality problems related to his mental condition and self-esteem. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with the results of the research showing that the Id element in the character Aralya is seen in a strong desire to face repeated problems. The element of Ego can be seen in his actions which are influenced by fear due to the many threats and oppression he receives. Meanwhile, Superego can be seen in Aralya efforts to maintain her self-esteem by not showing weakness in front of the people around her. The character's self-defense attitude is driven by repression and the high hopes he places on someone. This theory can help understand the psychological dynamics of characters and the impact of traumatic experiences on the characters concerned.
