Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of Balanced Scorecard (BSC) implementation on organizational performance in manufacturing and service sectors through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). The study adopts the PRISMA framework to systematically identify, screen, and analyze relevant literature published between 2019 and 2024. A total of 31 empirical articles were selected from reputable databases such as Scopus, Emerald Insight, and ScienceDirect. The findings indicate that the Balanced Scorecard is an effective strategic management tool that enhances organizational performance by integrating financial and non-financial perspectives, including customer satisfaction, internal processes, and learning and growth. In the manufacturing sector, BSC improves operational efficiency, productivity, and product quality, while in the service sector it strengthens customer satisfaction, transparency, and employee engagement. However, several challenges remain, such as limited managerial support, weak integration across perspectives, and insufficient focus on learning and growth dimensions. This study contributes by providing comprehensive insights into best practices, implementation challenges, and research gaps, as well as offering recommendations for future studies to develop sector-specific performance indicators and explore long-term impacts of BSC implementation.

Abstract

This study systematically reviews 64 articles exploring the impact of total reward systems on job satisfaction and employee performance. Utilizing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach based on the PRISMA methodology, the research examines the effectiveness of both financial and non-financial compensation in enhancing productivity and motivation. Articles were sourced from prominent scientific databases using keywords such as "total reward," "job satisfaction," and "employee performance." Findings indicate a positive correlation between total rewards and job satisfaction, although effectiveness varies by industry and reward type. Identified research gaps include the long-term impact of non-financial rewards and the role of workplace culture in reward effectiveness. These findings provide valuable insights for academics and practitioners aiming to optimize reward systems.

Abstract

This study aims to examine work experience, work environment, and work culture on employee performance, both directly and through work motivation as a mediating variable. This research is based on two main grand theories, namely Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs and Self-Determination Theory. Quantitative approach with survey method, The research population is all employees of the production division of PT Ekamas Fortuna Malang which totals 332 people. Sampling was carried out using the proportionate stratified random sampling technique with a sample of 179 respondents. Data analysis was carried out using the Structural Equation Modeling method based on Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) with the help of SmartPLS software. The results of the hypothesis testing showed that all ten hypotheses proposed in this study were proven to be statistically supported. Work experience, work environment, and work culture were each proven to have a positive and significant effect on employee work motivation, indicating that these three factors are relevant motivational antecedents in the context of the manufacturing industry and motivation has also been shown to mediate the relationship between these three variables. An important finding of this study is the confirmation of the dual role of work motivation, namely as a variable that directly drives employee performance as well as as a mediator that strengthens and channels the indirect influence of work experience, work environment, and work culture on performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the work environment, organizational culture, and employee engagement on employee performance with Lean Manufacturing as a mediating variable. The research population amounted to 255 employees consisting of various levels of positions, with a sample of 154 respondents selected using proportional sampling techniques in 4 sections/divisions. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire with a Likert scale and analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method. The results of the study show that the work environment, organizational culture and employee involvement have a positive and significant effect on the implementation of Lean Manufacturing. Lean Manufacturing, work environment, and organizational culture have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, employee involvement does not have a significant effect directly on employee performance. Meanwhile, the indirect influence of the work environment, organizational culture, and employee involvement has a positive and significant effect on employee performance through the mediation of Lean Manufacturing implementation. An important finding of this study is that Lean Manufacturing acts as a full mediator between employee engagement and employee performance. This research provides a theoretical contribution in integrating Socio-Technical Systems Theory (STS) and Social Exchange Theory (SET) in the context of the manufacturing industry in Indonesia, as well as providing practical implications for companies to integrate human factor management with Lean systems synergistically to improve organizational performance in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Research peneliti dilakukan sebagai penelitian yang meneliti dampak pengalaman kecerdasan emosional terhadap kinerja anggota organisasi melalui knowledge sharing pada tim pendamping (TPK). Metode penelitian yang dipergunakan yakni kuantitatif melalui pengumpulan data melewati kuesioner. Selanjutnya data kuesioner tersebut diolah melalui pemanfaatan analisis SmartPLS 3 yang di dalamnya terdapat pengujian outer model serta inner model. Sejumlah 230 responden yang merupakan seluruh anggota tim pendamping keluarga di surabaya terpilih menjadi sampel. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwasannya kecerdasan emosional membawa dampak positif serta signifikan terhadap berbagi pengetahuan pada Tim Dukungan Keluarga (TPK) di Kecamatan Sawahan Kota Surabaya. Kecerdasan emosional membawa dampak positif dan signifikan terhadap berbagi pengetahuan. Kecerdasan emosional membawa dampak positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja anggota organisasi.
