Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pencapaian hasil belajar fisika siswa SMAN 1 Kota Jambi kelas X MIPA 4 yang belum sesuai harapan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mengungkap kesulitan siswa dalam memahami konsep gerak parabola. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 26 siswa. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kelas X MIPA 4 SMAN 1 Kota Jambi. Alat pengumpul data berupa instrumen two-tier diagnostic test, yaitu tes pilihan ganda dua tingkat dimana tingkat pertama merupakan pilihan ganda dan tingkat kedua alasan terbuka. Berdasarkan hasil dari tes yang diberikan, diketahui bahwa siswa mengalami kesulitan sebagai berikut. Pertama, pada sub konsep grafik kecepatan terhadap waktu saat benda dilempar ke atas sampai titik tertinggi. Kedua, pada sub konsep gaya pada lintasan parabola. Ketiga, pada sub konsep waktu tempuh dua benda ketika menempuh lintasan parabola. Keempat, pada sub konsep bentuk lintasan parabola. Kelima, pada sub konsep arah percepatan pada gerak parabola. Technological advances are not new for students in Indonesia, whether they use electronic learning media in their daily lives or not. One example is the application of electronic modules. This study aims to determine the comparison of the print modules and the e-modules. This type of research is comparative research. Comparative research is research that compares the object under study. The method used in this study is a quantitative method using a survey research design. The sample of this research is class IV students, totaling 22 people. Data analysis used descriptive and inferential statistics, namely analyzing data by describing the data that has been collected. The results of this study were from the two teaching materials applied, namely the printed module and the electronic module, it was possible to see indicators of reading fondness characters. In the study, the dominant results were good for looking at indicators of reading fondness characters with the application of electronic modules, while for the application of print modules in the sufficient category, it can be seen that there are differences between the two teaching materials that are applied to see indicators of reading fondness characters, this is reinforced by the test results t that has been done, where the obtained sig is smaller than 0.05 then there is a difference between the two. So the electronic module based on local wisdom needs to be applied by teachers to instill the character of reading fondness among students.

This study aims to describe teaching materials based on local wisdom in fostering a character of environmental care in students. Local wisdom can be interpreted as a local culture that guides life. The problem in this study refers to the teaching materials used by teachers based on local wisdom in fostering character in students. The method used for this research is qualitative by using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results of the analysis of teaching material needs based on local wisdom are analyzing teaching materials for class V SD which includes aspects of mapping Core Competencies and Basic Competencies. In conclusion, analyzing the need for local wisdom-based teaching materials, such as teaching materials that have a variety of materials that can be integrated with local wisdom, can activate students in learning, the need to develop teaching materials based on local wisdom.

This research was conducted to analyze the correlation between reading fondness and attitude toward science. The number of research samples was 145 students. The research method used is a mix of quantitative and qualitative instruments that are descriptive. Quantitative instrument data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires and observations, qualitative instruments in the form of documentation and interviews. The statistical results of the attitude toward science variable, the average student chooses neutral in all indicators. The reading fondness variable of indicators general attitude towards reading and students' reading preferences average students chose neutral, the effect of reading on the ability of students chose to agree, and negative views of students towards reading chose not to agree. Based on the significance of 0.048 <0.05. This study aims to examine the activeness of student learning towards science subjects in junior high school. The research method used was a mixed research method with an explanatory design. The subjects were students of junior high school amounted to 148 students. The analysis of data using statistical techniques descriptive for quantitative data and analysis Miles Huberman for qualitative data. The results of the five indicators show that students are categorized as having good learning activeness on the indicator "High Curiosity (45,3%)" "Dare to Take Risks (73,7 %) ". "Wanted for New Experiences (55,4 %)". And "Proactive (57,4 %)". Then, students are categorized as having sufficient learning activeness on the indicator "Never Give Up (45,3 %)". The high percentage of the five indicators is supported by the results of interviews stating that students have a high curiosity seen from students who is actively asking questions and also not only rely on the material provided by the teacher, students have dared to make their own decisions and dare to face the problems given by the teacher without fear of being wrong, students are enthusiastic in conducting experiments or experiments because through theoretical experiments can be easier to understand and through experiments learning experiences can be obtained directly, and students are always looking for opportunities to learn and involved in learning activities, and students have a high enthusiasm for learning science but they are not confident in their abilities.

This study aims to analyze the correlation of students' perceptions of e-module toward students' basic science process skills. The subject of the study were second semester students of Department of Physics Education in Universitas Jambi. This research used a mixed-method research with data collection instruments consisting of student perception questionnaire, observation sheet of students' science process skills, and also interviews. From the results of data analysis, students' perceptions were in the good category with an average of 74.95, and the basic science process skills of students were also in the good category with an average of 69.08. Based on the correlation test conducted there is a significant relationship between the level of student perception of e-module with students’ basic science process skills using Pearson correlation values 0,927, and Sig. Education is a conscious effort through planning that is prepared by considering various aspects that are important for developing student potential. One of the efforts can be made is implementing a cooperative learning model. This study aims to determine the differences in the results of the application of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model and role playing in physics as well as student responses to the application of the two learning models. This research procedure uses mixed methods using quantitative data obtained by questionnaires, qualitative data is obtained by conducting interviews. The results showed that there were still many students who responded well to the application of the jigsaw cooperative learning model in learning physics but in contrast to student responses to role playing learning. This study aims to determine student responses to the implementation of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model and role playing in physics subjects and to determine the differences in the application of those two models in physics subjects. The novelty of this study is to describe student learning outcomes with the physics learning process and student responses when using the jigsaw cooperative learning model and the role-playing model in physics to make it easier for students to learn and understand concepts and formulas in physics learning. The results showed that many students responded to the application of the jigsaw cooperative learning model and the role-playing learning model in physics learning well. The study focuses on the relationship between process skills and critical thinking in junior high school students in learning science. Besides, an interrelation between process skill and critical thinking skills was also investigated. The study used a mixed-method. A sample of this study is 689 students of total sampling technique. Quantitative data were analyzed by SPSS 21 to find descriptive statistics in terms of mean, min, max while qualitative were analyzed in-depth interviews. The finding shows that the science process skill of students in learning science whether urban and rural areas are good categories. The independent sample t-test shows that students’ science process skills in learning science in urban tend to be higher than in rural schools (p<0.01). Students’ critical thinking in learning science for urban areas is high but for rural areas is a fair category, with significance p<0.001. The regression showed the level of contribution of students’ science process skill influence as much as 51.5% for critical thinking. The other research result was found that students’ science process skill affects critical thinking in learning science. Moreover, a comparison between students’ science process skills and critical thinking based on their school location showed that urban is higher than rural.

Dari studi literatur diketahui bahwa masih terdapat siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi pada materi listrik statis. Oleh karena itu dilakukan observasi mengenai miskonsepsi siswa SMAN 9 Kota Jambi untuk mengetahui pemahaman konsep siswa dalam mempelajari materi listrik statis dan bagaimana guru melakukan identifikasi untuk melihat miskonsepsi siswa. Metode yang digunakan yaitu wawancara bebas terpemimpin kepada guru fisika dan tiga siswa kelas XII IPA. Wawancara yang dilakukan terkait mengenai ruang lingkup pembelajaran fisika dan miskonsepsi siswa pada pembelajaran fisika. Hasil wawancara yang telah dilakukan diketahui bahwa siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep fisika salah satunya materi listrik statis. Guru belum pernah memberikan tes diagnostik kepada siswa untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi siswa dikarenakan belum tersedianya instrumen tes diagnostik untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi siswa di SMAN 9 Kota Jambi dan juga guru belum pernah mengengembangan instrumen tes diagnostik miskonsepsi. Sehingga diperlukannya instrument tes diagnostik miskonsepsi untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pemahaman konsep yang dimiliki oleh siswa.

This study aims to find out how the process of developing instrument products in the form of a four-tier diagnostic test on parabolic motion material, and to find out how the quality of a four-tier diagnostic test instrument product on parabolic motion material was developed. The test subjects were all high school students of class X MIPA, taken by purposive sampling, namely 60 students in the first phase of the trial and 134 students for the 2nd phase of the trial. of 0,3 which means valid. The instrument reliability value is 0,859 which is in the very high reliability category. This means that the developed instrument can be used to identify misconceptions. The results of expert validation indicate that the instrument is in the very good category so that it can be used to identify misconceptions. The validation results from the first validator are 85% (Good) and the second validator is 92,08% (very good). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the misconception instrument developed from one-tier questions to four-tier diagnostic tests is appropriate to be used to identify students' misconceptions on parabolic motion material. This can be seen from the results of the analysis of the validity and reliability of the instrument, where all items are valid and have very high reliability.
