The method used in this research was descriptive quantitative. The results showed that as many as 513 students got an overview of psychological flexibility in the categories in order of high, very high, low, and very low. The results of this study indicated that UNSRI students already had good psychological flexibility, but there were still students who had a level of psychological flexibility in the low and very low categories.

Abstract

This study conducts a comparative analysis between the concept of Paideia education in Ancient Greek civilization and the idea of Merdeka Belajar promoted by the current Indonesian Government. Paideia, which comes from the Greek language, is a holistic education system that aims to form a complete citizen and become a good and wise human being. Meanwhile, Merdeka Belajar is an education policy that emphasizes freedom of learning, creativity, and independence of students. Through a philosophical approach, this research explores the similarities and differences between the two concepts, as well as their implications for educational practice in Indonesia. The findings show that despite differences in historical and cultural contexts, the two concepts share a common thread, namely prioritizing character building and the development of individual potential as a whole. However, Merdeka Belajar tends to focus more on aspects of freedom and creativity, while Paideia emphasizes the formation of good citizens. This research provides new insights in understanding the concept of education from a cross-cultural and historical perspective, and provides recommendations for the development of more holistic and meaningful educational practices in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study explores the career readiness of vocational school students in Bengkulu and examines how secondary cultural values, particularly the Serawai tribe’s Sekundang Setungguan philosophy, can inform effective career guidance frameworks. Utilizing a quantitative descriptive methodology with a survey approach, data were collected from 347 students across grades X, XI, and XII through a Career Readiness Inventory distributed via Google Forms. The inventory's validity and reliability were tested using the Rasch model with Winstep software, resulting in 37 valid items out of 42. Findings indicate weak career readiness among students in key areas such as career exploration, decision-making, job information access, and occupational knowledge. Gender analysis reveals higher readiness levels among female students, while the Serawai ethnic group outperforms others in career preparedness. Factors influencing career planning include parental aspirations, limited guidance, and cultural diversity. The study underscores the importance of fostering career awareness early, incorporating cultural strengths into guidance programs. The Serawai values of cooperation, resilience, and mutual support provide a foundation for cultivating responsibility, empathy, and perseverance among students. These cultural frameworks can address career uncertainties and enhance readiness through collaborative efforts involving families, schools, and communities. By leveraging cultural values and fostering robust support systems, vocational students are better equipped to navigate challenges and seize opportunities, contributing to societal growth. The findings highlight the significance of culturally informed guidance to prepare students for the complexities of the modern workforce.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of the Community Guidance Model on women’s empowerment in the fishing village of Nelayan, Pangandaran Regency, Indonesia. It explores how this model promotes gender equality by enhancing social support, improving resource access, and driving cultural change. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research focuses on women participating in the community guidance program, selected through purposive sampling. Data collection methods included in-depth interviews, participant observations, and analysis of program documents. Thematic analysis revealed that the Community Guidance Model significantly strengthens social support networks, grants women greater access to economic and educational resources, and fosters a shift in cultural norms that traditionally limit women’s roles. These changes enable women to take on active roles within their communities, enhancing both their welfare and social standing. The study concludes that the Community Guidance Model is an effective strategy for empowering women in fishing villages, offering a pathway to sustainable gender equity and social inclusion. These findings support the expansion of such programs to achieve lasting improvements in the well-being and agency of women across Indonesian coastal communities.

Abstract

Adolescents' subjective well-being is critical in holistic development, but its determinants must be fully identified. This research investigates the direct and indirect effects of interpersonal mindfulness and social support on adolescent subjective well-being, emphasizing the mediating role of self-esteem. Using a correlational design, purposive sampling was taken from 111 class XI students at the Indonesian Education University Laboratory High School. The validated instruments used include the subjective well-being inventory for high school students, the interpersonal mindfulness scale-short, the student social support scale, and the Rosenberg self-esteem scale. Using JASP path analysis indicates that interpersonal mindfulness and social support do not significantly affect subjective well-being. However, self-esteem shows a substantial direct influence and is a significant mediator between interpersonal mindfulness, social support, and subjective well-being. These findings emphasize the importance of self-esteem in improving adolescents' subjective well-being. Implications of the study include the development of integrative interventions that include mindfulness practices, emphasizing increasing self-esteem and strengthening social support. Education and training programs designed to increase self-esteem, optimize social support, and reduce the negative impact of social media can significantly improve teenagers' subjective well-being. Further research is needed to elaborate on this paradigm's cultural and digital factors.
