Abstract

Electrical energy has an important role in various aspects of life. Electrical energy is used in the form of alternating current (AC) voltage and direct current (DC) voltage. To produce a direct voltage (DC) that varies and as needed, a power converter is needed that is equipped with a control system so that the resulting voltage remains stable and does not experience overvoltage or undervoltage. In this research, the converter used is a buck converter. Because the buck converter is a nonlinear system, it requires a control system with a dynamic response rate. So it is necessary to design a buck converter by applying a control system that can maintain the stability of the buck converter output voltage efficiently and adaptively such as the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) method. The control proposed system will be implemented using an Arduino ATMega2560 programmed through Simulink Matlab. To test the effectiveness of this control system, several experiments will be conducted with an input voltage of 24 Volts and outputs worth 9 and 12 Volts. From this test, a voltage error of 0.1 Volt was obtained in the experiment with constant voltage and constant load criteria, proving that the control has successfully controlled the buck converter output voltage according to the reference voltage

Abstract

One use of internet of things (IoT) technology is in remote monitoring systems, for example home monitoring systems. One medium that can be used to control an IoT system is a messaging application.  In this research, a doorbell monitoring system using IoT-based ESP32-CAM was designed by connecting the doorbell with the ESP32-CAM. ESP32-CAM is used as a microcontroller that connects all devices. The advantage of the ESP32-CAM is that it has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a secure digital (SD) card module, and a camera that is directly embedded on the board. The doorbell and ESP32-CAM are connected to each other with the door lock solenoid and power supply. To operate the tool, a Telegram messaging application is used using Telegram's bot. Telegram bots can be accessed with a bot ID and bot token created using BotFather. This system has no noise when the doorbell is pressed. The ESP32-CAM camera can take good quality images and testing on the chat bot went well. The door lock solenoid can work according to commands in the Telegram chat bot and all commands have been tested and provide information in the form of chat in the form of text and images. The research results of this system allow homeowners to see and monitor guests via smartphone in real-time with a time range of 3 to 6 seconds

Abstract

The growing number of electric vehicles (EVs) has increased the demand for fast and sustainable charging infrastructure. Currently, most charging stations in Indonesia rely heavily on electricity from the national grid (PLN), resulting in high operational costs, especially during peak hours. On the other hand, the potential of renewable energy sources, such as solar power, has not been optimally utilized. This final project aims to design and develop a hybrid fast-charging station prototype that combines power sources from PLN (60%) and solar panels (40%). The system is designed to support the charging needs of electric motorcycles produced by PT Len Industri (Persero), using fast-charging technology that is efficient and environmentally friendly. Testing is conducted to ensure the system provides a fast, stable charging solution while reducing dependence on the conventional power grid. The results of this project are expected to contribute to the development of a more sustainable national electric vehicle infrastructure.
