Abstract

AbstractTamadun is an Arabic word means build cities. In this case, Tamadun for String Quartet build Melayu music with something new is the presentation form, that is String Quartet which actually unsusual in Melayu traditional music. Through the difference, become an idea to create the Tamadun for String Quartet using western melodic instrument. Violin, Viola and Cello are western instrument that support the idea of Tamadun for String Quartet.Tamadun for Sting Quartet is musical performance that need a production team to reach the goals. This piece is made as afinal examination and also to perfomed for general society. Tamadun for String Quartet applied a method and creation step. This creation step in important to make all of the aspect that will be create in this piece is working systematically and matched with the concept that the composer used in this piece are: observation, exploration, improvitation, and evaluastion. String Quartet is a music form that played as an ensamble with four string players. Generally, Sting Quartet usually play some music piece of Mozart, Beethoven, Vivaldi, and another classical composer. Abstract

AbstractThis research was motivated by resercher’s desire to know the structure of Selampe Dance Presentation to Dayak Sawe at Sekonao Village Sekadau Sub-District of SekadauRegency west Kalimantan. The purpose of this study was to described the structure of presentation that has characteristics from it’s movement, music, makeup, and clothing, as well as rhymes in it. The methode used in this research was descriptive with qualitativeresearch form. The approach used was a choreographic approach. The data source inthis research were Mr. Nirus and Mrs. Serina. Based on data anlysis can be concluded asfollows. The presentation structure of selampe dance was arrangement of one unit onepresentation or appearance that has three important parts in the presentation structurethey are, first part, midle part, and last part. The main elements of presentation structureform such as dance movement which mean to illustrates something known as maknawimotion, design of lines on the floor that traversed by dancers, accompaniment music ofrhymes, theme, makeup and clothing.. Hopefully the result of this research can beimplemented in seni budaya on grade X in SMA Negeri 01 Sekadau Hulu to K-13curriculum in order to all the students understand more about dance tradition. Abstract

AbstractThis background of this researchers to find musical structures accompanied by Bakoncong dance of the Badamea Dayak tribe of Senatab Village, Sajingan Besar District, Sambas Regency. The problem of this research were "What is the structure of the accompaniment of Bakoncong dance of the Dayak Badamea tribe, The design of the implementation of the structure of music accompaniment to the Bakoncong dance in class VIII cultural arts subjects. This research method was an exploratory descriptive method. The form of this research was qualitative. The approach of this research was ethnomusicology approach. The data of this study were the results of interviews, observations, documentation. The data collection techniques of this study were observation, direct communication and documentary studies. The research data collection tool were the researcher as the main instrument, observation guidelines and documentation tools. Checking the validity of the research data were an extension of observation and triangulation of techniques. The data analysis technique of this research were the analysis during data collection analyzed after data collection. The results of this study were describing the accompaniment of music structure of Bakoncong dance, understanding of Bakoncong, and musical instrument. The design of the implementation of the accompaniment of music structures in the Bakoncong dance on class VIII cultural arts subjects. Keywords: Accompaniment music, Bakoncong dance, Structure of music.

Abstract

AbstractThe background of this research is the loss of Timang Banjar Dance in Kadriyah Palace. The purpose of this research is to revitalize Timang Banjar Dance in Kadriyah Palace, Pontianak, West Kalimantan so it could exist in the society around Kadriyah Palace. Specifically, this research focuses on how does the process, the form and the result of revitalization of Timang Banjar Dancein Kadriyah Palace, Pontianak West Kalimantan.  Method used in this research is descriptive with qualitative method and sociological approach. Data used in this method are the result of interview, observation, documentation and daily note about Timang Banjar Dance. The result of this research is an effort in revitalizing Timang Banjar Dance such as helding a meeting with the interviewees and also the dancer and the musician of this dance in Kadriyah Palace, Pontianak; Dancing Timang Banjar Dance; Evaluating the form of the dance; Represent the Dance by doing workshop, using backsound, properties, and costumes of Timang Banjar Dance.  Keywords: Revitalizing, Timang Banjar Dance, Pontianak

Abstract

Abstrac     The research was aimed to find the form of presentation of Raddat Ya Muhammad dance in Sebadi, Teluk Keramat, Sambas regency. The form of presentation of this dance displayed on the Mawlid of the Prophet in 1960’s, later in 2014 dance Raddat ya Muhammad was presented in Jakarta as the introduction of dance. The method was descriptive method with qualitative research and using choreography approach.  The sources of the data were Syahril, alm Abdul Hadi, A Muin Ikhram. The data were in the form of interviews, observation and documentation. The data were collected by observation, interview, and documentation. The technique of data validity was in the form of observation lengthening and triangulation. The technique of data analysis was using interactive data analysis, divided into three stages, analysis during the field, data reduction and data presentation. The result of this research was consisting of various early tahto steps, Almustofa steps, group choreography consisting of unison design, straight design, and alternate cell design. The accompanying music were tahar, kedumbak, rumba, the theme in dance Raddat Ya Muhammad tells folklore, makeup used beautiful makeup, fashion clothing used baju kurung, pants brackets, earrings, rocking shoots, lotus, and place of performances featuring a work of dance that is often called the stage, the layout that serves only as a light only. The results of this research can be used as reference materials for teachers or educators and make it as a reference in the learning of cultural arts and school skills (especially dance lessons).                                                                                                                                                                                                          Key words : Persentation Form, Raddat Dance Ya Muhammad

Abstract

AbstractThe aim of this study is to give the understanding and knowledge about Jepin Pesawat Terbang dance in Pontianak. This study is about analyzing the structure of the arrangement on Japin Pesawat Terbang dance in Pontianak, West Borneo. The research design used in this study is descriptive, which is qualitative research design. In this study, the researcher use a choreography approach, the data in this study is the structure of the performances on Jepin Pesawat Terbang dance in Pontianak, West Borneo. The sources of data are Juhermi Thahi, M Yusuf Dahyani and Anwar Jafar. Techniques used in this study to collect the data are interview, observation, and documentation and the instruments used in this study are interview questions, interview guides, cell phone camera, and a field note.The results of this study on Jepin Tali Bintang dance have the structure of performances which are consists of the initial movements, middle movements and end of the movements. Besides, others elements in dance are floor designs, upper designs, dramatic designs, the dynamics of dance, the composition of the group, a theme, back sound,  dance properties, makeup and dress, and a venue.The results of this study are expected to be implemented in the Cultural and Arts lesson in classVIII semesters I. Keywords: Structure of Performances, Jepin Pesawat Terbang Dance, Pontianak

Abstract

Abstract This research is backgrounded by the uniqueness of Gisint and Bonsi musical instruments so that the researcher needs to examine the organology of the instruments. This study is aimed at describing the structures, the making process the way how to play the Gisint and Bonsi musical instrument in Bebukukng traditional ceremony of Linoh Dayak tribes of Sintang District. Qualitative descriptive method and organology approach were used in this study. The data in this research were obtained from field observation and interview with the informants who are expert in structure, making process, and playing the Gisint and Bonsi musical instrumental in Bebukukng traditional ceremony of Linoh Dayak Tribe of Sintang District. The data were analyzed qualitatively from the interviewees such as Mr Dandui, Mr Idi, Mr Apolonius Inci and several artists who understand about Bebukukng music, especially the organology of Gisint and Bonsi musical instrument in Bebukunkg traditional ceremony of Linoh Dayak Tribe of Sintang District. Based on the data analysis, it was concluded that Gisint and Bonsi musical instruments are parts of a tradition, in which they are made from bamboo. The Gisint musical instrument is made from the dried bamboo stem with the size of an adult people’s arm, as well as Bonsi musical instrument is made from one segment of bamboo stick with the size of an adult’s thumb. Abstract

Abstract.The background of this research was to document Jepin Tembung dance accompaniment in Pontianak. The general problem contained in this resarch was: What is the description of Jepin Tembung dance accompaniment in Pontianak? The objectives o this research were: 1) Descriptions of Pontianak Jepin Tembung Dance accompaniment, 2) Descriptions of Poetry Melody in Pontianak Jepin Tembung Dance accompaniment, 3) Descriptions of Selodang Melody in Pontianak Jepin Tembung Dance accompaniment, 4) Descriptions of Marwas Rhythm Pattern in Pontianak Jepin Tembung Dance Accompaniment, 5) Descriptions of Implementation that will be used in teaching and learning activities in schools.Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that Jepin Tembung Music accompaniment in Pontianak has a music component and foming characteristics and forms of modern music in general. The results of this study are in the form of accompaniment sheet music of Jepin Tembung Dance. There are poetic, selodang, marwas, violin, and accordion sheet music. This research is expected to stimulate the growth of interest in learning traditional music, especially Jepin traditional music, and more especially the accompaniment of Jepin Tembung Dance in Pontianak. Keywords: Jepin Music, Pontianak Jepin Tembung, Musicology

Abstract

AbstractThe background of this research is the lack of interest of the younger generation against traditional arts which is a hereditary heritage of the ancestors and the need for an effort to learn and preserve the traditional music. One of the arts tradition that is almost extinct and began to be unknown by the community itself is the Bejali vocal music from Dayak Linoh tribe, Sintang district. The purpose of this research are: 1) Describing vocal music composition of Bejali Tapakng Golaumali tradition's lyric verse from Dayak Linoh tribe, Sintang district, 2) Describing the contextual aspect of Bejali' Tapakng Golaumali. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method and using ethnomusicology approach. The data contained in this study is the result of direct observation and interviews to informants in the form of Vocal Music Composition Bejali' Tapakng Golaumali, and contextual aspects of Bejali' Tapakng Golaumali. The data were analyzed qualitatively, with data source from Yustina Bayang, Dandui, Bantan and several other artists who actively participated and learned about the traditional vocal music, especially the vocal music of Bejali' from Dayak Linoh tribe, Sintang District.  Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that Bejali' is one of the vocal music that how to sing it using ornaments, vibrato, and original Linoh language. The Bejali' poem is not standard (it is situational) and is spontaneously used in figurative words. Bejali' can be sung by men and women. Basically, Bejali' is sung as a means of marriage applications, cut teeth, and welcome guests Dayak Linoh. Bejali' is sung without any musical instrument. This research is expected to be a stimulus to the growing interest to learn the traditional vocal music, especially vocal music Bejali' from Dayak Linoh tribe, Sintang district.  Keywords: Study, Poetry Rhythm, Bejali', Dayak Linoh, Sintang District.

Abstract

AbstractThis research is made because the writer interested in Malay dance that have dance title in a dance. The aim of this research is to find out the history of Timang Banjar in written documentation that supported by Timang Banjar photos related. Datas from this research is taken from some informants who knew about Timang Banjar dance dance, also include as the dancer used some research techniques. The research finding is the history of the Timang Banjar dance began in 1921, created by artist named Ncek Mat. This dance is worked as traditional dance on his leadership, first this dance is only showed in front of Vith Sultan from Kadriyah palace and only dance in Kingdom family big events. Then, to introduse this dance to people, especially people around Kadriyah palace, this dance is showed in art performance Tonel drama. Timang Banjar dance has to generations dancers after Ncek Mat. The development happened on dance presentation form. This dance started to appear again in 2016, in revitalization of Timang Banjar dance that taught by third generations to SMKN 7 Pontianak students.Keywords: history, development, Timang Banjar
