Abstract

This study aims to develop an animated video media for fourth grade social studies learning about economic diversity in Riau. This research is research and development with the 4D model, namely define, design, development and dissemination. The instruments used to obtain data were questionnaires (validation questionnaires and response questionnaires) and interviews. While the data obtained came from 2 validators, namely material experts and media experts, as well as 1 practitioner (teacher) and 12 students from one of the public elementary schools in Pekanbaru. Data collection techniques used were validity questionnaires, teacher response questionnaires, student responses and interviews. The results showed that the animated video media developed received very valid criteria with a proportion of 96.4% from material experts in the very valid category and very valid criteria with a score of 84.5% from media experts. The results of the teacher's answers get a very good score with a score proportion of 89.2%, one-to-one test results get a very good score with a score proportion of 90% and small group test results get a very good score with a proportion of 83.8%. It can be interpreted that animated video media is feasible and valid for use in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Model based on Global Citizenship in improving the conceptual understanding and critical thinking skills of fifth-grade elementary school students. This study uses a Pretest-Posttest Control Group experimental design, where the experimental class is taught using the CTL model based on Global Citizenship, while the control class uses a conventional learning model. The research sample consisted of 86 fifth-grade students at SDN 181 Pekanbaru City, who were randomly divided into two groups. The results showed that the experimental class experienced a significant increase in conceptual understanding and critical thinking skills compared to the control class. This is evidenced by the higher average posttest score in the experimental class compared to the control class. The N-Gain analysis also shows that the CTL Model based on Global Citizenship is included in the effective category for improving students' conceptual understanding and critical thinking skills. The CTL approach, which emphasizes the relevance of subject matter to real-life contexts and global issues, allows students to be more critical in analyzing and applying the knowledge they have learned. This study makes an important contribution to the field of education, especially in efforts to improve the quality of learning to be more relevant and contextual.

Abstract

In response to global educational dynamics, there is a growing need for innovative collaboration between schools and communities that is deeply rooted in local cultural values. This study aims to develop the Model of School and Community Relationship Management Based on Malay Culture (MHSM-BM Model) and to evaluate its effectiveness, along with the challenges encountered during its implementation at SD Negeri 105 Pekanbaru. Utilizing a Research and Development approach guided by the ADDIE model, data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis, and were analyzed using techniques of data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The development of the MHSM-BM model proceeded through five stages: analyzes, which examined existing relationships between schools and stakeholders; design, which integrated Epstein’s framework with twelve principles of Tunjuk Ajar Melayu that reflect the social values of the Malay community; development, involving validation by two expert assessors; implementation, where the model was applied in the school context; and evaluation, which assessed its overall effectiveness. The findings indicate that the model achieved a high level of effectiveness, with student and parental engagement exceeding 90 percent, supported by six key frameworks: pembinaan budi pekerti (character development), dialog dua arah (two-way dialogue), kepedulian sosial (social care), pembelajaran berkelanjutan (sustainable learning), pengambilan keputusan bijaksana (wise decision-making), and kolaborasi berdaya (empowered collaboration). However, challenges remain, particularly in maintaining ongoing collaboration among educators, students, and parents. Overall, the MHSM-BM model presents significant potential for broader application as a means to establish harmonious collaboration between schools and stakeholders.

Abstract

Tradisi Lampu Colok dilaksanakan dibulan Ramadhan, dan tradisi ini menjadi media untuk syiar Islam yang memiliki banyak nilai-nilai karakter. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis nilai-nilai karakter yang terkandung dalam tradisi Lampu Colok di Kabupaten Bengkalis Provinsi Riau. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam tradisi Lampu Colok terdapat nilai-nilai karakter seperti gotong royong, religiusitas, kejujuran, toleransi, disiplin, kreativitas, cinta tanah air, kepedulian sosial, dan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan. Nilai-nilai ini perlu diajarkan kepada setiap generasi masyarakat Indonesia, khususnya di Kabupaten Bengkalis. Oleh karena itu, tradisi ini harus dilestarikan dan diperkenalkan kepada seluruh lapisan masyarakat, terutama di Kabupaten Bengkalis. Tradisi Lampu Colok bermula dari penggunaan lampu minyak sebagai pengganti penerangan listrik di masa lalu. Warga yang pergi ke masjid dan surau membawa lampu minyak untuk menerangi perjalanan mereka dan saat ini, masyarakat menjadi lebih kreatif dengan memasang lampu colok sepanjang jalan

Abstract

This research aims to develop cultural literacy indicators that describe students’ abilities to understand, analyze, and compare, enabling them to apply cultural values in their daily lives. To collect data, the research uses a developmental research method with the 4D design (Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate). The data collected consists of cultural literacy indicators, which, after development, are validated by two expert judgments. The validation results indicate that the developed cultural literacy indicators are suitable to be used as instruments or guidelines for measuring elementary school students’ cultural literacy abilities. Based on the research findings, it was determined that the cultural literacy indicators encompass four domains related to culture: (1) cultural diversity, (2) diversity of cultural values, (3) participation in culture, and (4) cultural awareness. Each of these cultural aspects has indicators tailored to the cultural literacy skills being measured. These cultural literacy indicators can be used to assess students’ cultural literacy by adapting them to the culture present in the regions or environments where the students live.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Influence of Principal's Academic Supervision and Work Commitment on Teachers' Teaching Performance at SMK N 1 Barumun, Padang Lawas Regency. This type of research is quantitative with the method used in this study is a survey method with a sampling technique, namely Random sampling, namely random sampling. The data collection technique used in this study is a questionnaire using a Likert scale. The results of this study indicate that there is an Influence of Principal Academic Supervision and Work Commitment on Teacher Teaching Performance with an F count of 68.091 and a significance of 0.000. Using the level of ???? (Alpha) = 0.05 or 5% shows that the calculation of f count 68.091> ftable 3.11 and the Sig. value. (0.000) <0.05, it can be concluded that the variables of academic supervision (X1) and work commitment (X2) simultaneously have a significant influence on teacher teaching performance at SMKN 1 Barumun, Padang Lawas Regency. and its significance is less than 0.05 (0.000 <0.05) meaning that ????a is accepted and ????0 is rejected. This means that partially there is a significant influence of Principal Academic Supervision and Work Commitment on Teacher Teaching Performance at SMK N 1 Barumun, Padang Lawas Regency. R2 value of 0.636, this means that the variables of academic supervision and work commitment contribute to the teacher performance variable by 63.6%, while the remaining 36.4% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. This shows a significant influence of the Principal's Academic Supervision and Work Commitment on Teacher Teaching Performance at SMK N 1 Barumun, Padang Lawas Regency.

Abstract

Pendidikan inklusi bertujuan untuk memberikan kesempatan belajar yang setara bagi semua peserta didik, termasuk anak berkebutuhan khusus (ABK). Keberhasilan pembelajaran inklusi dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, seperti desain kelas yang mendukung, kesiapan guru, dan sarana dan prasarana. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang berkontribusi terhadap kesuksesan pembelajaran inklusi di SD Al-Fityah Pekanbaru. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan pembelajaran inklusi bergantung pada faktor visibility, accessibility, fleksibelity (keluwesan), kenyamanan, dan keindahan dalam desain kelas, serta dukungan dari tenaga pendidik dan lingkungan sekolah. Studi ini merekomendasikan peningkatan pelatihan guru dan perbaikan sarana kelas agar lebih inklusif.

Abstract

The local wisdom-based book-making training at SDN 021 Air Molek II was motivated by the urgent need to preserve Indragiri Hulu's local wisdom. The phenomenon of diminishing cultural knowledge among the younger generation is a major concern, as many children today no longer recognize or appreciate their own local culture. The aim of this training is to improve teachers' skills and motivation in writing books that integrate local cultural values and enrich students' learning experiences. The training methods include material preparation, theory on local wisdom and book-making techniques, hands-on practice, and a thorough evaluation of the activities and book results. The results show a significant improvement in teachers' skills and motivation. The resulting books are expected to not only enrich teaching materials but also help preserve local culture, giving students a deeper insight into their cultural heritage. The success of this training has the potential to serve as a model for similar initiatives in other schools, expanding the positive impact in cultural preservation and education quality improvement.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi dan memperoleh              informasi tentang penerapan kurikulum merdeka di SMP 23 Pekanbaru. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif, yaitu menggambarkan tentang tantangan dan hambatan dalam penerapan kurikulum merdeka di SMP 23 Pekanbaru sehingga menjadi informasi yang berguna dan mudah dipahami oleh pembaca. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara observasi dan wawancara untuk meneliti informan kunci. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa implementasi kurikulum merdeka di SMP 23 Pekanbaru telah dilaksanakan dan sedang berlangsung, walaupun dalam pelaksanaannya masih terdapat tantangan dan hambatan khususnya dalam pembelajaran matematika. Adapun tantangan tersebut yaitu 1) keterampilan mengajar, 2) pandai dalam menguasai keterampilan dasar untuk kebutuhan belajar di era digital, 3) pandai mengelola kelas agar peserta didik tidak bosan, dan 4) memiliki referensi yang banyak dan luas, sedangkan hambatannya berupa 1) kurangnya pengalaman tentang kurikulum merdeka, 2) kurangnya fasilitas yang memadai, dan 3) kurangnya jam pelajaran karena terfokus pada proyek. Keberhasilan dalam penerapan kurikulum merdeka SMP 23 Pekanbaru dapat tercapai apabila kepala sekolah dan guru mampu mengatasi tantangan serta hambatan yang ada. Kepala sekolah sebagai pemimpin harus membimbing guru untuk melakukan perubahan dalam proses pembelajaran sehingga penerapan kurikulum merdeka dapat dilaksanakan secara optimal.

Abstract

Perubahan kurikulum menuntut pendidik untuk secara konsisten meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan mereka dalam memahami dan mengimplementasikan kurikulum yang baru. Kurikulum Merdeka membawa paradigma dan pendekatan baru dalam praktik pembelajaran. Hal ini mengharuskan pelaku pendidikan untuk bersiap secara komprehensif dalam mengimplementasikan Kurikulum Merdeka tersebut. Oleh sebab itu, penelitian ini mencoba untuk menganalisis kesiapan salah satu Sekolah Dasar Daerah Pesisir di Provinsi Riau, SD Negeri 22 Bengkalis dalam upaya implementasi Kerikulum Merdeka, dengan menyoroti tantangan dan peluang yang dihadapi sekolah tersebut. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan menggunakan teknik observasi langsung, wawancara mendalam, dan pengumpulan dokumen yang relevan dalam pengumpulan data. Keabsahan data diperiksa melalui teknik triangulasi, sehingga memberikan keyakinan kepada peneliti dalam menarik kesimpulan. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa SD Negeri 22 Bengkalis memiliki tingkat kesiapan pada tahap awal. Meskipun dihadapkan pada tantangan yang cukup signifikan, komitmen yang positif memberikan peluang kepada SD tersebut untuk meningkatkan dan mengoptimalkan kesiapan mereka dalam upaya implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka secara berkelanjutan.
