Abstract

The integration of science and religion has become a key issue in the development of Islamic Education (PAI) curriculum in higher education. This integration aims to eliminate the dichotomy between religious knowledge and secular sciences, enabling Islamic understanding to be not only theological but also compatible with modern scientific developments. This study aims to analyze the concept of science–religion integration in PAI curricula, its implementation, and the challenges encountered by higher education institutions. The research approach is qualitative, employing a literature-based analysis from relevant scholarly sources. The findings reveal that integration can be strengthened through holistic paradigms, value-based curriculum design, and the use of scientific knowledge as an instrument to reinforce Islamic teachings. Implementation strategies include interdisciplinary learning, contextual teaching, and content delivery aligned with technological advancements. The integration significantly contributes to character formation, enhancement of religious literacy, and students’ adaptive abilities in facing global challenges. However, major obstacles include existing dichotomous thinking, limited interdisciplinary lecturer competencies, and weak synergy between religious and secular academic institutions. Therefore, universities need to design innovative and collaborative PAI curricula that respond to the dynamics of scientific development.

Abstract

The development of science and technology has become a dominant force shaping modern civilization. However, this progress cannot be separated from the ethical, moral, and spiritual dimensions emphasized by religion. This article aims to explore the relationship between science, technology, and religion from an integrative perspective, focusing on how religious values guide and give meaning to scientific advancement. The research method used is library research with philosophical and theological approaches. The results show that religions such as Islam, Christianity, Hinduism, and Buddhism view science as part of humanity’s search for divine truth. In Islam, for instance, knowledge (‘ilm) is regarded as a form of worship and moral responsibility. Technology is also seen as a means for public welfare rather than domination over nature. This study emphasizes the importance of integrating science and religion to achieve ethical and civilized progress. Thus, technological advancement should be directed toward human welfare, ecological balance, and spiritual development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis integrasi kurikulum berbasis cinta dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di MI Assalam Martapura. Kurikulum berbasis cinta merupakan pendekatan pendidikan yang menempatkan nilai kasih sayang, empati, dan hubungan humanis sebagai inti proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi kurikulum berbasis cinta di MI Assalam Martapura dilakukan secara sistematis melalui perencanaan pembelajaran, proses interaksi di kelas, serta pembentukan budaya sekolah yang religius dan inklusif. Guru berperan sebagai fasilitator sekaligus teladan dalam menanamkan nilai kasih sayang, toleransi, dan kepedulian sosial. Implementasi ini berdampak pada peningkatan sikap religius siswa, hubungan sosial yang harmonis, serta menurunnya perilaku negatif di lingkungan sekolah. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kurikulum berbasis cinta efektif dalam memperkuat dimensi afektif dan spiritual dalam pembelajaran PAI. Pendekatan ini dapat menjadi model alternatif dalam pengembangan pendidikan Islam yang lebih humanis dan berorientasi pada pembentukan karakter.

Abstract

Abstrak Kemampuan literasi baca-tulis merupakan keterampilan dasar yang penting bagi anak sekolah dasar. Namun, di Kelurahan Dara, Kota Bima, masih banyak anak yang kesulitan mengenal huruf, mengeja kata, membaca sederhana, dan menulis dengan rapi. Program rumah belajar literasi baca-tulis dilaksanakan sebagai bentuk pengabdian kepada masyarakat untuk membantu meningkatkan keterampilan literasi dasar anak. Kegiatan berlangsung selama Juli 2025 dengan tujuh kali pertemuan, melibatkan 18 anak kelas 1-5 SD. , Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif melalui pembelajaran tatap muka, permainan edukatif, membaca terarah, bercerita, dan diskusi. Hasil asesmen menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan literasi : 85% anak mampu mengenal huruf, 80% dapat membaca suku kata sederhana, 70% membaca kata sederhana,45% membaca kalimat pendek, serta 65% menulis kata sederhana dengan lebih rapi. Selain itu, anak-anak juga menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dan peningkatan kepercayaan diri selama mengikuti kegiatan. Dengan demikian, program ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan literasi baca-tulis sekaligus menumbuhkan motivasi belajar serta kesadaran literasi di lingkungan masyarakat. Abtract Literacy skills are essential for elementary school children as the foundation for futher learning. However, in Dara village, Bima City, many children still struggle with recognizing letters, spelling words, reading simple texts, and writing neatly. The Literacy Learning House Program was implemented as a community service activity to improve children’s basic literacy skills. The program was carried out in July 2025 with seven meetings, involving 18 student from grades 1 to 5. The implementation used a participatory approach, including face-to-face learning, educational games, guided reading, storytelling, and group discussions. The results showed significant improvements in literacy skills : 85% of the children were able to recognize letters, 80% could read simple syllables, 70% could read simple words, 45% could read short sentences, and 65% could write simple words more neatly. In addition, the children demonstrated high enthusiasm and increased self-confidence throughout the program. therefore, this program proved effective in enhancing basic literacy skills while fostering learning motivation and literacy awareness within the community.
