Abstract

Educational innovation is a new and rapid advance in the world of education. Especially in the era of globalization that is rife with technology. The growing use of technology also affects the development of education, which trends with the use of technology. Through educational innovation, the quizizz application is an online platform to develop learning through interactive quiz games to make learning more interesting. This study aims to describe how the implementation of quizizz-based learning has improved islamic educational achievement and to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of quizizz-based learning innovation in improving islamic religious education achievement. The research is qualitative, with a case study approach where researchers examine an existing case. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation. Observation by directly observing the object that is the place of research and interviews essentially obtain direct information in fact from the resource person, namely islamic education teachers. The results of the study show that the implementation of the application of the quizizz can be used as an assessment in arabic and muhammadiyahan subjects. The use of quizizz is nothing but a secondary learning method or as a support in learning, not as a primary method in teaching. The success of the quizizz application can be seen in the increase in student learning motivation, student activeness in class, and other student learning achievements. The supporting factor for applying quizizz is that students are increasingly open to a broad horizon of learning technology and subject matter that has been taught. The ability of students to easily adapt to the use of the internet makes them more creative. The inhibiting factor is the lack of focus of students in following learning due to the distraction of technology and internet web pages. Technology is used in learning only as a learning support so that students do not get bored easily.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to actualize the role of university students in Islamic preaching (dakwah) to empower rural communities with limited access to religious education. The activity was conducted in Gerdu Village, Karangpandan Sub-district, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java, using a qualitative approach and the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. This method allowed students and community members to be actively involved in identifying religious issues, designing solutions, and collaboratively implementing sustainable programs. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The program consisted of various Islamic educational activities such as children’s Quran classes (TPA), women’s religious studies, Quran recitation improvement (tahsin), Islamic storytelling, educational outbound games, and health counseling. The results showed increased community participation in religious activities and the emergence of collective awareness to uphold Islamic values in daily life. The students also gained valuable hands-on experience in delivering contextual and applicable religious guidance. These findings indicate that the participatory community-based dakwah model is effective in rural settings and can be replicated in other areas with similar social characteristics.

Abstract

Knowledge and skills in managing the deceased are essential components of Islamic teachings and considered a collective obligation (fardhu kifayah). However, fiqh education on funeral rites in Islamic institutions remains largely theoretical and lacks practical application. This study aims to revitalize fiqh learning through practical training on Islamic funeral management at Ar-Rasyid Islamic Boarding School, Wonogiri. Using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, the program involved students from junior to senior high school levels. The training consisted of three stages: theoretical material delivery, demonstration, and hands-on practice. The results showed a significant improvement in students' understanding and practical abilities regarding proper Islamic funeral procedures. Beyond technical skills, the training fostered spiritual and social awareness, contributing to the character development of the students. This initiative effectively strengthens the role of the pesantren as a contextual and practical center of Islamic education. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Muhadatsah method and its influence on students’ Arabic language proficiency at KMI Ar-Rasyid Islamic Boarding School in Wonogiri. The research originates from the growing need within Islamic boarding schools to improve the effectiveness of Arabic instruction through a communicative approach that emphasizes active conversational practice. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach through field research, the data were obtained from in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation of Muhadatsah activities. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, encompassing data reduction, presentation, and verification. The results indicate that the Muhadatsah method significantly contributes to improving students’ speaking and listening skills, expanding their vocabulary, and fostering self-confidence in communicating in Arabic. The implementation also succeeded in creating an interactive and contextual learning environment, despite challenges such as time limitations, varying language proficiency among students, and the need for consistent supervision. Theoretically, this study reinforces the relevance of communicative approaches in Arabic language education within Islamic boarding schools, while practically providing recommendations for Islamic educational institutions to integrate Muhadatsah activities sustainably within their language curriculum. The findings are expected to serve as a foundation for future studies exploring the effectiveness of the Muhadatsah method in modern Arabic language pedagogy.
