Abstract

This study aims to examines the critical role of social media in public outreach within the fields of education, economy, and health, emphasizing its integration with religious values. Using a systematic literature review approach, this study analyzes academic sources, reports, and case studies to explore how platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube facilitate the dissemination of faith-based content, particularly in Islamic contexts. The findings indicate that social media enhances religious education, supports Islamic economic practices (e.g., zakat distribution and halal investments), and promotes health awareness campaigns aligned with Islamic values of hygiene and wellness. However, challenges such as the digital divide in underprivileged communities, misinformation about health practices, and privacy concerns in faith-based financial transactions hinder the full potential of social media outreach. To address these issues, greater collaboration between religious institutions, government agencies, and social media platforms is necessary, particularly through digital literacy programs, content regulations, and joint awareness campaigns. Strengthening these efforts can ensure that social media serves as a powerful tool for community education, empowerment, and the promotion of religious values in modern society.

Abstract

Abalone (Haliotis squamata) is a high-value economic commodity that has great potential for cultivation, but selecting the right substrate is a key factor in increasing cultivation productivity because it affects the level of attachment, feeding activity, growth, and survival in a recirculation system The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the right substrate in supporting the growth and survival of abalone (Haliotis squamata). This study used an experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 substrate treatments (coral, gravel, sand, coral + sand, gravel + sand) with 3 replications. A total of 20 abalone seeds measuring 1.5-2.5 cm were reared for 60 days. The parameters observed included absolute length growth, absolute weight, specific growth rate (SGR), and survival rate (SR) measured every 15 days. Data were analyzed using ANOVA and a follow-up LSD test. The parameters observed included shell length increase, absolute weight, specific growth rate, survival rate, and water quality. The results showed that the coral reef substrate supported a growth rate of 0.94% per day with an 83% survival rate, while the sand substrate showed a growth rate of 0.59% per day with a 57% survival rate. It was concluded that the best treatment on the coral reef substrate.

Abstract

The monkeypox outbreak has emerged as a pressing global health concern, as evidenced by the rising number of cases reported in various countries. This rare zoonotic disease, caused by the Monkeypox virus (MPXV) of the Poxviridae family, is commonly found in Africa. However, since 2022, cases have also spread to various countries, including Indonesia. The dermatological symptoms exhibited by affected individuals vary, with the potential for further transmission through contamination. Early and accurate detection of monkey pox disease is therefore essential for effective treatment. The present study aims to improve the classification of Monkey Pox using the modified Resnet50V2 model, trained using pre-training datasets namely ImageNet and HAM10000, where batch size and learning rate parameters were adjusted. The study achieved high accuracy in distinguishing monkeypox cases, with 98.43% accuracy for Resnet50V2 with pretrained ImageNet and 70.57% accuracy for Resnet50V2 with pretrained HAM10000. Future research will focus on refining these models, exploring hybrid approaches incorporating convolutional neural networks, this advancement contributes to the development of automated early diagnosis tools for monkeypox skin conditions, especially in resource-limited clinical settings where access to dermatology experts is limited.
