Abstract

Effect of Coated Urea with Humic-Calcium on Transformation of Nitrogen in Coastal Sandy Soil: A Soil Column Method (Sulakhudin, A  Syukur, D  Shiddieq and T  Yuwono):  In coastal sandy soil, mainly nitrogen losses due to leaching resulted to low fertilizer efficiency. Slow-release N fertilizers are proposed to minimize these losses, and humic-calcium coated urea has been examined. A soil column method was used to compare the effects of coated urea with humic-calcium on transformation and leaching loss of N in coastal sandy soil. The experiment aid to compare two kind source humic substances (cow manure and peat) which mixed with calcium as coated urea on transformation, vertical distribution and leaching N in coastal sandy soil. The concentration of humic-calcium coated urea i.e.1%, 5% and 10% based on their weight.  The results showed that urea coated with humic-calcium from cow manure (UCHM) and humic-calcium from peat (UCHP) increased the N total and available N in the soil and decreased leaching loss of N from the soil column. Compare to UCHP, UCHM in all concentration showed N-nitrate higher than N-ammonium on incubation length 2, 4 and 6 weeks. The N leached from a costal sandy soil with application coated urea with UCHM ranged from 21.18% to 23.72% of the total N added as fertilizer, for coated urea with UCHP they ranged between 21.44% and 23.25%, whereas for urea (control) reach 29.48%. Leaching losses of mineral N were lower when urea coated with UCHM compared to urea coated with UCHP or urea fertilizer.  The study concluded that the UCHM is better than UCHP in decreasing N leached from coastal sandy soil.

Abstract

Pearl oysters (Pinctada maxima) are fishery commodities with high economic value and are widely cultivated. The challenge in pearl oyster cultivation is the imbalance between nutritional needs and natural feed availability, which has the potential to inhibit growth, increase mortality risk, and reduce the quality of produced spat. This research aims to identify the optimal natural feed density to enhance cultivation success and reduce mortality rates during the critical phase. This research was conducted from February to August 2025 at the laboratory of PT. Mutiara Surya Indonesia, Sugian Village, Sembelia District, East Lombok Regency. The experimental research method used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments with 3 replications. Data collection was performed on day 0, day 10, day 20, and day 30. The research results showed growth for each immersion with density variations: treatment A (control, without immersion) showed growth reaching 0.30 mm, treatment B grew approximately 0.32 mm, treatment C grew approximately 0.35 mm, treatment D grew approximately 0.41 mm, and treatment E grew approximately 0.55 mm. The difference in pearl oyster spat size (0.12 mm) significantly affected the density variation differences, which significantly influenced (p>0.05) absolute growth, relative growth, and daily specific growth on days 10, 20, and 30. However, it did not significantly affect (p>0.05) survival rates. The values of absolute growth, relative growth, and daily specific growth showed that treatment E was the best.

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are one of the core competencies in 21st-century education, especially in science learning that emphasizes analysis, evaluation, and problem solving. This study aims to identify trends and research focuses on critical thinking in the context of science education through a bibliometric approach. Data were collected from the Dimensions database using the keywords "critical thinking" and related terms in the period 2010–2024. Bibliometric analysis was conducted using VOSviewer software to map the main keywords, the network of relationships between terms, and the temporal dynamics of publications. The results show that the keywords "critical thinking", "local wisdom", "module", "STEM", and "elementary school" emerged as dominant themes. The problem-based learning (PBL) approach, integration of local wisdom values, and the use of contextual modules are the most frequently studied strategies in an effort to improve students' critical thinking skills. Temporal analysis shows a spike in publications since 2020, indicating increasing attention to the importance of developing critical thinking in the science curriculum. These findings provide strategic directions for curriculum development, learning innovation, and educational research in the future.

Abstract

Early childhood education is crucial for both religion and English learning. Previous studies have shown that social media is helping today's youth learn more about religion and English. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of teaching religion and English with song media in early childhood through an experimental study of the song I am I a Muslim by Yusuf Islam. This study's theoretical contribution can help develop the theory of religion and English education for early childhood and be practically valuable for teachers or parents. This study was an experimental study. A sample of 32 children (4-12 years) was qualitatively analyzed. The results revealed that the respondents' habit of listening to the song I Am A Muslim grew over time. The aspects not confirmed by this study's findings included the mood factor of the children so the facilitators, the environment in which children study, and the type of children's learning style, despite the fact that the hypotheses postulated in this study had not been proved 100%. This study has demonstrated that most respondents experience an improvement in English language abilities and Islamic knowledge via song since there are still some limitations to this study. The future study can include using control elements that impact learning success and doing research in the same areas.

Abstract

The volume of waste increases each year; however, household waste management remains inadequate. Housewives are often seen as the key individuals responsible for managing waste at home. Therefore, this study aimed to identify the factors influencing housewives' behavior toward household waste management in Terusan Village, located in the Mempawah Hilir District. This cross-sectional study was conducted from February to June, involving a sample of 85 housewives selected through total sampling. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. The results indicated no correlation between housewives' behavior in waste management and their age (p-value = 0.414), education level (p-value = 0.107), knowledge (p-value = 0.364), attitude (p-value = 0.439), availability of facilities (p-value = 0.207), or distance to temporary disposal sites (p-value = 0.438). In contrast, the study found a significant correlation between employment status (p-value = 0.001), family income (p-value = 0.007), and family support (p-value = 0.020) with the behavior of housewives in household waste management. The findings suggest that while demographic factors like age, education, and knowledge do not significantly impact waste management practices, employment status, family income, and support from family members do play a critical role in shaping housewives' behavior in waste management in Terusan Village.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the transformative role of social media and artificial intelligence (AI) in contemporary Islamic preaching through a comprehensive literature review. Ten peer-reviewed articles published between 2019 and 2025 were purposively selected to examine the intersection between digital technology and the sociological dynamics of da’wah. The findings reveal that social media has redefined the public sphere of da’wah by fostering participatory, interactive, and community-driven communication models. Concurrently, AI facilitates the automation and personalization of religious content delivery, enhancing accessibility while raising ethical and epistemological concerns. The integration of these technologies has not only revolutionized the methods of da’wah but also disrupted traditional structures of religious authority and knowledge production. The novelty of this study lies in its dual focus on both social media and AI within the sociological framework of da’wah an area that remains underexplored in prior research. The study recommends the development of digital literacy, ethical guidelines for AI-assisted preaching, and a renewed conceptual paradigm for understanding da’wah within a digitized religious ecosystem.
