Abstract

The condenser is a key component in solar desalination systems that converts water vapor into fresh water through the condensation process. The efficiency of the condenser greatly affects the amount of fresh water produced. This study aims to review the development of research on the application of salt pond condensers in seawater desalination processes. The method used is a literature review of various scientific journals that discuss internal, external, spiral and conical condenser designs and their integration with solar still systems. The results of the study show that external condensers can increase productivity, while conical condensers increase efficiency. In addition, salt ponds have the potential to become a natural condensation medium that can store heat and improve system performance. This concept can be the basis for the development of efficient, economical, and environmentally friendly desalination technology to meet the need for clean water in coastal areas of Indonesia.

Abstract

Environmental issues, particularly in waste management, remain a significant challenge in elementary schools. The lack of student awareness and low levels of creativity in managing waste call for innovative learning approaches. The aim of this research is to describe the implementation of the 3R method as an effort to enhance creativity and environmental awareness among third-grade students at SD Inpres Pare'-pare', Gowa Regency. The research adopted a Classroom Action Research (CAR) model with qualitative approach. Data acquisition was carried out through various methods, including observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The study was conducted in two learning cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The results indicate that applying the 3R method has a positive impact on improving students' creativity and fostering their environmental awareness. Students showed greater ability to generate creative ideas using recycled materials and became more engaged in maintaining cleanliness and managing waste responsibly. The learning process became more interactive, with students showing greater enthusiasm in participating in activities to waste management. This improvement was also reflected in the observations where both teachers and students demonstrated active involvement in each stage of the learning process. Therefore, the 3R method can serve as an effective educational strategy to foster environmental values and enhance student creativity from an early age.

Abstract

The transition from investment-driven to innovation-driven economies places technological infrastructure at the forefront of macroeconomic development. This study utilizes Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to analyze the complex causal relationships between technological infrastructure, the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and economic productivity across 179 economies using comprehensive World Bank data. Grounded in Endogenous Growth Theory, we hypothesize that digital infrastructure serves as a critical catalyst for entrepreneurship, which in turn drives higher economic value added and industrial output. To ensure methodological robustness, the study employs a rigorous data pre-processing approach, specifically transforming skewed variables—such as secure internet servers, patent counts, and trademark applications—into their natural logarithms (Ln) to satisfy distributional normality assumptions for linear modeling. Results derived from Jamovi analysis indicate that technological readiness significantly influences entrepreneurial capacity, which acts as a key mediator subsequently impacting GDP per person employed and industrial value added. These empirical findings suggest that policymakers must prioritize strategic digital backbone investments and secure server infrastructure to unlock the full potential of national entrepreneurial ecosystems. By bridging the digital divide, nations can foster an environment conducive to sustainable innovation and long-term economic growth.

Abstract

Food tourism is increasingly recognized as a strategic component in enhancing the competitiveness of tourism destinations, particularly thru the development of local cuisine based on local wisdom. However, most research still views digital platforms as partial promotional tools and has not yet studied how to use them systematically to build a sustainable culinary tourism ecosystem. The purpose of this study is to examine how digital platforms contribute to the development of local cuisine and how they contribute to the strengthening of sustainable culinary tourism. This is the culinary tourism destination that is the subject of this study, which was conducted using the case study method. Data was collected thru in-depth interviews with culinary MSME producers, destination managers, and tourists, as well as online observations via social media, travel review platforms, and culinary markets. The research results show that the value of tourism experiences can be enhanced, destination identity strengthened, and active participation of local SMEs increased thru the integration of digital platforms that connect visual promotion, tourist interaction, and digital culinary stories. The latest finding in this research is the development of a multi-platform digital integration model that serves not only as a marketing tool but also as a collaborative ecosystem that helps local economic growth, preserves culinary cultural heritage, and enhances the competitiveness of tourist destinations. The results of this research contribute conceptually and practically to building sustainable digital-based culinary tourism strategies.

Abstract

The elderly are a group that is vulnerable to cognitive decline due to the aging process, which can affect their psychological adaptation and resilience in facing physical, social, and emotional changes. Resilience is an important factor in maintaining the quality of life of the elderly, so the relationship between cognitive function and resilience levels needs to be further studied. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between cognitive function and resilience levels in the elderly. Method: This study used an analytical observational design with a cross-sectional approach. Cognitive function was measured using the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), while resilience levels were measured using the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC). Data analysis included descriptive analysis, Kolmogorov–Smirnov normality test, and correlation test. Results: The results showed that there was a positive relationship between cognitive function and resilience levels in the elderly, but the relationship was not statistically significant (p > 0.05). This indicates that improved cognitive function tends to be followed by increased resilience, but the relationship is not strong enough to be considered statistically significant. Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that there is a positive but insignificant relationship between cognitive function and resilience levels in older adults. Further research with a longitudinal design is needed, taking into account other supporting factors, in order to obtain a more comprehensive picture of the relationship

Abstract

The development of digital technology has transformed patterns of social interaction, particularly among Generation Z, who grow and develop within a virtual communication ecosystem. The presence of digital spaces enables the formation of various online communities that function as platforms for social interaction as well as the construction of self-identity. This study aims to understand the process of forming Generation Z’s social identity through interpersonal communication within gamer communities in digital spaces. The research employed a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design to explore individuals’ subjective experiences in their daily digital interactions. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving members of the gamer community at SMK Bina Insan Mandiri. The results show that interpersonal communication within gamer communities occurs intensively and reflects characteristics such as openness, empathy, supportiveness, positive attitudes, and equality among members. These interactions not only strengthen social relationships but also shape social identity through the use of distinctive language, shared experiences, repetitive communication patterns, and a sense of belonging to the community. These findings confirm that digital spaces function as alternative social arenas for Generation Z in building self-identity in a more dynamic way.

Abstract

The filling ingredient commonly used in sausage production is tapioca flour. One alternative to tapioca flour is durian seed flour. Durian seed flour can be used as a filling ingredient in processed chicken products because it contains 88.68% starch. The addition of durian seed flour is one alternative that can be used to increase sausage variety and improve sausage quality. The method used to solve the problem was an institutional approach, namely a process of continuous guidance and assistance throughout the activity. There were 20 participants involved in this activity, consisting of women from the Paraita Women Farmers Group (KWT). The assistance was focused on guiding and assisting the KWT women in applying the technology of processing livestock products in the form of sausages. The community service activity was carried out by conducting counseling, followed by training and mentoring for the women of KWT in Pulliwa Village, Bulo District, Polewali Mandar Regency. This activity provided information to KWT that sausage can be made not only with tapioca flour, but also with cheaper durian seed flour, thus opening up business opportunities to increase members' income. The community service activity through counseling, training, and mentoring for the women of the Paraita Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Pulliwa Village, Bulo District, Polewali Mandar Regency successfully increased the knowledge and skills of the participants in processing livestock products into sausage products with the innovation of adding durian seed flour as a filler.
