Abstract

Tirosinase atau fenol oksidase adalah enzim utama yang terlibat dalam biosintesis melanin. Untuk menghindari produksi melanin secara berlebihan pada lapisan epidermal, maka dicari senyawa yang mampu menghambat tirosinase sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai bahan pemutih kulit. Inhibitor enzim tirosinase dapat diperoleh dari senyawa bahan alam diantaranya, polifenol, kumarin, stilben sebagai pengganti senyawa sintetik. Tirosinase telah diketahui struktur molekular sehingga dapat diketahui mekanisme kerjanya melaui uji in-silico dan pembuktian secara in-vitro. Penelitian ini digunakan untuk mendeteksi keefektifan gabungan dari ekstrak etanol pulosari (Alyxia reinwardtii) dan secang (Sappan lignum) sebagai inhibitor tirosinase. Dari hasil in-silico pengujian aktivitas inhibisi tirosinase menggunakan software MOE 2008 menunjukkan bahwa dalam ekstrak etanol dari secang yaitu senyawa brazilin dan rhamnitin berturut-turut memiliki nilai ∆G -15.6582 kkal/mol, -13.3378 kkal/mol dengan inhibisi 10.021 μM, 8.331 μM dan Hdon-acc 6, 8. Sedangkan dalam ektrak etanol dari pulosari dengan senyawa scopoletin dan zhebeiresinol berturut-turut memiliki nilai ∆G -12.1661 kkal/mol; -13.8982 kkal/mol dengan inhibisi 7.279 μM; 9.104 μM dan Hdon-acc 5 dan 6. Sedangkan senyawa parameter L-DOPA dan pembanding asam kojat berturut-turut memiliki nilai ∆G -9.8247 kkal/mol; -8.8047 kkal/mol dengan inhibisi 5.592 μM; 4.976 μM dan Hdon-acc 3; 3. Dari pembuktian secara in-vitro menunjukkan bahwa uji aktivitas inhibisi tirosinase berturut-turut dari secang (Sl), pulosari (Ar), gabungan Sl dan Ar dengan pembanding asam kojat memiliki nilai IC50 berturut-turut 797.090 ppm, 1962.934 ppm, 571.352 ppm dan 93.557 ppm. Sehingga dari hasil in-silico dan in-vitro disimpulkan bahwa penggabungan antara pulosari dan secang memiliki tingkat IC50 lebih baik dibandingkan pemberian masing-masing ekstrak.

Abstract

The wet tissue currently circulating in the market is made of synthetic fibers consisting of 30% viscose fibers and 70% polyester fibers, and 90% of the wet tissue contains plastic. Indonesia's palm oil industry grows annually, however. Palm fiber waste has high cellulose, useful as wet tissue raw material substitute. This study used flavonoids from palm leaves as an antibacterial material to create biodegradable wet wipes from palm fiber and evaluate their antibacterial and antiseptic effectiveness. The best characteristics of biodegradable wet wipes are obtained with a composition of 91.5% (w/w) palm coconut fiber cellulose, and a ratio (w/w) of PVA:tapioca:chitosan at every 10 mL of used VCO of 2:3:6 (1.5%:2.25%:4.5%) with variations in pulp bleaching and the method of applying the binder solution by being spread onto semi-dry tissue paper. The evaluation of wet tissue includes tests for tensile strength, color, biodegradability, phytochemical analysis, antibacterial testing, antiseptic testing, irritation testing, and pH testing. The test results showed that biodegradable wet wipes made of palm coconut fiber and flavonoid extract from palm coconut leaf at concentrations of 10%, 15%, and 20%, which have been adjusted to SNI 8526:2018 standard, have bacterial reduction effectiveness of 68.09%, 79.06%, and 89.94%, respectively.

Abstract

AbstractThe aims of this research were to determine: (1) the message design that would be used inthe development of adobe flash for the socialization of vocational students in Sintang, (2)the implementation of the message design that would be used in the development of adobeflash for the socialization of vocational students in Sintang, (3) Interest in participating inthe general election of SMK students in Sintang, (4) Awareness and positive attitude ofSMK students in Sintang towards the election after using Adobe Flash. This research is adevelopment research using the Borg Gall development procedure. Data obtained frominterviews, observations, questionnaires and documentation. The results showed that: (1)the design of adobe flash for the socialization of vocational students in Sintang was carriedout through the Borg and Gall stages, (2) the implementation of the socialization ofvocational students in Sintang using adobe flash was included in the very appropriatecategory, (3) the interest of vocational students in Sintang towards the election after usingadobe flash is in the good category, and (4) the critical attitude of vocational students inSintang has raised awareness and a positive attitude towards the election after using adobeflash is in the very good category. Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan solusi terhadap masalah acne vulgaris yang sering dialami oleh banyak orang, baik wanita maupun pria, terutama pada usia muda. Acne vulgaris sering kali diatasi dengan produk kecantikan yang mengandung bahan kimia atau bahan aktif lainnya, namun hal ini dapat berdampak negatif pada kesehatan kulit. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan ini berfokus pada pemanfaatan bahan alami sebagai alternatif untuk pencegahan acne vulgaris, khususnya dengan menggunakan kulit pisang yang kaya akan antioksidan dan senyawa flavonoid yang bermanfaat bagi kulit. Metode pengabdian masyarakat ini meliputi beberapa tahapan, dimulai dengan pengolahan dan ekstraksi kulit pisang sebagai bahan baku. Selanjutnya, dilakukan sterilisasi alat untuk memastikan kebersihan, kemudian pembuatan formula gel untuk De Cream Acne. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama enam bulan, dari Mei-Oktober 2023. Hasil dari kegiatan ini berupa produk perawatan kulit yang diberi nama De Cream Acne, yang telah melalui uji coba dan terbukti efektif. Selain berfungsi untuk mengatasi masalah kulit, De Cream Acne juga merupakan inovasi pemanfaatan bahan alami yang selama ini terabaikan dan menjadi limbah, sehingga kegiatan ini berkontribusi dalam pengelolaan limbah organik dan pelestarian lingkungan. Dengan adanya pengabdian masyarakat ini, diharapkan dapat memberikan manfaat baik bagi kesehatan kulit masyarakat maupun untuk kelestarian lingkungan.

Abstract

Solar photovoltaic (PV) technology, which converts sunlight into electrical energy, is an environmentally friendly applied technology. PV installation on the roof of a building, also known as Rooftop PV, is used not only as a heater but also as an alternative source of electrical energy for a building. Rooftop PV on the Mushola Baiturrohim is used as a backup source of electrical energy when PLN cannot supply voltage. The installed 100 Wp solar photovoltaic system is capable of providing power to a setup consisting of 3 lamps, each with a wattage of 15, and a fan with a diameter of 12 inches, for approximately 2.5 hours. Socialization of the assembly and maintenance of the Rooftop PV system is also carried out for the management of the prayer room and the surrounding community, as a means of transferring renewable energy knowledge that all can utilize.

Abstract

Background: There are still no specific treatments for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) until present days. Several studies have been conducted to determine whether herbal medicine can be an option to be used as a definitive medicine for COVID-19. S2 subunit of spike protein which is responsible for SARS-CoV-2 entry to the host cell, is a potential drug target to inhibit the viral infection. In this study, we aimed to find some compounds from the HerbalDB database that have potential as SARS-CoV-2 spike (S2) glycoprotein inhibitor. Methods: The 6LXT protein was used as the target protein. The procedure in this study consisted of these following steps: protein and ligand preparation, pharmacophore modelling and compound screening, molecular docking, ADME, and toxicity analysis. The docking of hit compounds to the target protein were compared to arbidol and quercetin as positive controls. Results: Four hit compounds were screened from HerbalDB compounds. Two of them, octopamine and L-noradrenaline, showed lower binding energies (respectively, -5.19 and -4.98 kcal/mol) than positive controls whereas the other two compounds, mimosine and L-theanine, showed higher binding energies (respectively, -3.99 and -3.62 kcal/mol) compared to positive controls. Mimosine, L-noradrenaline, octopamine, and L-theanine had toxicity classes of IV, II, IV, and IV, respectively. Conclusion: Octopamine shows the best potential as SARS-CoV-2 spike (S2) glycoprotein inhibitor. However, this compound also poses several toxicity risks and therefore, needs a more elaborate considera-tion upon using. Abstract

Pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest cancers in the world. This cancer is caused by multiple factors and mostly detected at late stadium. Biomarker is a marker that can identify some diseases very specific. For pancreatic cancer, biomarker has been recognized using blood sample known as liquid biopsy, breath, pancreatic secret, and tumor marker CA19-9. Those biomarkers are invasive, so we want to identify the disease using a very convenient method. Metabolite is product from cell metabolism. Metabolites can become a biomarker especially from difficult diseases. In this paper, we want to find biomarker from metabolite using machine learning and enrichment. Metabolites data was obtained from Metabolomic workbench, while the detection and identification is done using in silico. From 106 samples, control and cancer, we found 61 metabolites and analyze them. We got 8 metabolites that play important role in pancreatic cancer and found out 2 of them are the most impactful. From that we found that ethanol is one of the best candidate of biomarker that we provide for pancreatic detection cancer. However, the simulation need to be improved to find another biomarker that provide a better marker for prognosis. Keyword : metabolite, pancreatic, cancer, machine learning

Abstract

Program Gerakan Literasi (GLS) dilaksanakan untuk mendorong meningkatnya minat baca siswa kelas 5 dan 6 di SDN 2 Sindangkasih, Purwakarta. Kegiatan ini berangkat dari permasalahan rendahnya minat baca yang dipengaruhi oleh terbatasnya ragam bacaan, kurangnya kesadaran literasi, serta metode belajar yang belum bervariasi. Pengabdian ini menggunakkan pendekatan partisipasif melalui kegiatan observasi awal, sosialisasi pentingnya literasi, dan penyediaan buku - buku menarik dari perpustakaan keliling yang bekerja sama dengan Dinas Perpustakaan Daerah Kabupaten Purwakarta. Program yang dilaksanakan pada 6 November 2025 ini diikuti oleh 145 siswa dan berisi penyampaian materi tentang manfaat membaca, sesi tanya jawab, serta kegiatan membaca bersama. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan respons positif dari siswa dan guru, terlihat dari tingginya antusiasme serta meningkatnya motivasi membaca setelah siswa diberi kesempatan memilih dan membaca buku yang mereka sukai. Kehadiran perpustakaan keliling menjadi daya tarik utama dan mampu mengubah anggapan siswa bahwa membaca adalah aktivitas yang menyenangkan. Secara keseluruhan, program GLS memberikan dampak positif dalam menumbuhkan minat membaca, memperkuat budaya literasi di sekolah, dan membantu membentuk karakter siswa melalui kegiatan literasi.

Abstract

The Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) is a government policy aimed at improving health and fulfilling the nutritional needs of students at school. However, its implementation is not free from various food safety risks. The suspected poisoning cases that occurred among several elementary and middle school students in Padang Panjang City in October 2025 highlight the importance of comprehensive supervision during the food serving process. Laboratory test results found that MBG food was safe for consumption, but there was contamination of coliform bacteria in the refillable drinking water provided at the school. This indicates that sanitation factors and the cleanliness of the food serving environment also play a role in triggering health issues. This article discusses the potential risks in the MBG program, the causative factors in the Padang Panjang case, as well as relevant risk mitigation strategies, such as routine drinking water inspections, strengthening hygiene SOPs, hygiene education for students, and inter-agency coordination. Risk mitigation is an important step to ensure food safety, prevent similar incidents, and support the sustainability of the MBG program in the future.

Abstract

Breast cancer ranks among the leading causes of death in women, linked to disruptions in signaling pathways regulating cell proliferation and survival, particularly E2F2 gene activity. E2F2 regulation falters when pRB is phosphorylated by Cyclin D–CDK4/6 or Cyclin E–CDK2 complexes, freeing E2F2 to activate cell cycle genes. This study, "In Silico Study: Metabolite Compounds of Zingiber officinale var. rubrum as Potential E2F2 Inhibitor Agents in Breast Cancer Signaling Pathway," assesses red ginger (Zingiber officinale var. rubrum) metabolites as CDK4/CDK6 inhibitors via molecular docking in silico. Target protein structures came from the Protein Data Bank; metabolites were chosen for reported anticancer effects and 3D-modeled. Docking used Molegro Virtual Docker to gauge ligand affinity and interactions at active sites. Results highlighted [12]-shogaol, (E,E)-α-farnesene, and 1-dehydro-[6]-gingerdione as CDK4 inhibitors; azafrin, [8]-shogaol, and [12]-shogaol for CDK6. These exhibit strong binding via hydrogen bonds and hydrophobic interactions at key residues. Red ginger metabolites show promise as CDK4/CDK6 inhibitors for breast cancer therapy, pending in vitro/in vivo validation.
