The digital era requires students to have strong technological literacy skills for effective and safe participation in the global community. This study aims to analyze the strategic role of teachers in strengthening digital literacy at Raden Fatah Cimanggu Junior High School, including their roles as facilitators, ethical mentors, and role models in technology use. Using a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, data was collected through a series of participant observations, in-depth interviews with educators, and analysis of school policy documents. Data analysis was conducted through comprehensive stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research findings indicate that teachers have implemented their vital role by integrating technology into the learning process, utilizing collaboration platforms such as Google Classroom, and providing digital-based assignments. In addition to technical aspects, teachers actively instill digital ethical values ??and the ability to evaluate the validity of information, despite still facing challenges of equitable infrastructure and the need for ongoing training. It is concluded that teachers play a significant role in shaping students' character and critical thinking regarding technology, thus synergistic support from all stakeholders is essential to ensure the readiness of the younger generation to face a digitally connected future. ABSTRAK Era digital mengharuskan peserta didik memiliki kecakapan literasi teknologi yang kuat demi partisipasi yang efektif dan aman dalam masyarakat global. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran strategis guru dalam penguatan literasi digital di SMP Raden Fatah Cimanggu, mencakup fungsi sebagai fasilitator, pembimbing etika, dan teladan penggunaan teknologi. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, data dikumpulkan melalui serangkaian observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam dengan para pendidik, serta analisis dokumen kebijakan sekolah. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan secara komprehensif. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru telah mengimplementasikan peran vital dengan mengintegrasikan teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran, memanfaatkan platform kolaborasi seperti Google Classroom, serta memberikan penugasan berbasis digital. Selain aspek teknis, guru aktif menanamkan nilai etika digital dan kemampuan evaluasi validitas informasi, kendati masih dihadapkan pada tantangan pemerataan infrastruktur dan kebutuhan pelatihan berkelanjutan. Disimpulkan bahwa peran guru sangat signifikan dalam membentuk karakter dan daya kritis siswa terhadap teknologi, sehingga dukungan sinergis dari seluruh pemangku kepentingan sangat diperlukan untuk memastikan kesiapan generasi muda menghadapi masa depan yang terhubung secara digital.

This study aims to analyze the practice of social support in maintaining the psychological well-being of students at the boarding-based Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 2 Banyumas. A qualitative approach was employed through in-depth observation, interviews with dormitory students and dormitory supervisors, as well as field observation checklists. The findings indicate that social support in the MAN 2 Banyumas dormitory is manifested across four primary dimensions: emotional support, instrumental support, informational support, and appraisal support. These dimensions are provided synergistically by dormitory supervisors, peers, and families. The tahfidz program, routine guidance sessions, a 41-day quarantine period, and a tiered warning system (SP1-SP3) serve as institutional instruments supporting the formation of a conducive social ecosystem for student well-being. These findings reinforce the relevance of sociological educational theory in understanding the role of boarding educational institutions as a structured social support system.

Penelitian ini menganalisis persistensi tradisi ngaji bandongan di Pondok Pesantren Miftahussalam Banyumas yang terintegrasi dengan sistem kelas formal. Penelitian bertujuan menjelaskan bagaimana metode bandongan dipertahankan untuk menjaga otoritas keilmuan ustaz dan proses transmisi ilmu di tengah modernisasi pesantren. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode etnografi tradisi keilmuan melalui observasi semi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bandongan dimaknai sebagai strategi belajar yang membantu santri memahami kitab Ta’lim al-Muta’allim fi Thariq al-Ta’allum melalui praktik makna gandul dan pengulangan materi. Meskipun terdapat kendala seperti rasa kantuk dan perbedaan kemampuan memahami kosakata Arab, penjelasan ustaz dan pengawasan pesantren mendukung kedisiplinan santri. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa tradisi bandongan tetap relevan dalam menjaga transmisi ilmu, literasi teks Arab, dan pembentukan karakter santri di pesantren kontemporer.

Character education in boarding school environments plays a crucial role in shaping students' morality and social identity. This study explores the implementation of character-building strategies based on an educational sociology approach among sixth-grade students at the Insan Cendikia Boarding School (ICBS) Dormitory of MIN 1 Banyumas. Using a qualitative case study method, data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that strategies such as habituation, role modeling, group norm reinforcement, communicative approaches, and local culture effectively instill values like discipline, responsibility, cooperation, empathy, and social care. The findings underscore the importance of integrating social dynamics and regional cultural values into character education, presenting an innovative approach to building students' moral foundations through sustainable collective experiences.

The objective of this study is to explore how the management of parental involvement contributes to enhancing the quality of Tahfidz Al-Qur'an instruction at MI Plus Ma’arif NU Makam, Purbalingga Regency. This study is based on the premise that synergy between families and educational institutions plays a vital role in shaping students’ character and academic success, especially within the realm of religious education. Employing a qualitative approach and a case study method, data were gathered through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis involving the madrasah principal, teaching staff, and parents. The results demonstrate that parental involvement is managed across six fundamental dimensions: participatory planning, collaborative-based organising, structured program implementation, continuous evaluation, tangible parental contributions to students’ memorisation progress, and challenges in implementation. Parental involvement in the Tahfidz program manifests across six managerial dimensions identified in this study. In participatory planning, parents contribute through curriculum review and target-setting discussions. Collaborative organising is reflected in the formation of program teams involving teachers, school leaders, and parent representatives. During implementation, parents support daily murojaah, utilise communication books, and participate in parenting and paguyuban activities. In control and evaluation, they engage in diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments. Parental contributions significantly enhance students’ memorisation progress through structured home routines and active communication with teachers. However, challenges include unequal participation levels, limited parental availability, and inconsistent documentation of supervision. These findings indicate the need for more inclusive and adaptive managerial strategies to strengthen school–family partnerships in Tahfidz learning.

This article examines the power relations among caregivers, ustaz, and students and how these relationships shape social compliance in Islamic boarding schools. From the perspective of the sociology of educational institutions, this study argues that social obedience in boarding schools is not formed naturally, but through networks of power relations legitimized by religious authority, boarding school traditions, and daily supervision systems. Using a qualitative case study approach at the An-Najah Student Boarding School, data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and institutional documentation. The results reveal three main mechanisms for fostering social compliance: first, interpreting orders as an integral part of scientific ethics; second, seniority structures and management systems that strengthen social control; third, religious worship and learning routines used as a medium for collective obedience training. This study concludes that social compliance in boarding schools grows from an understanding of values and mutual agreement, rather than merely from coercion, making boarding schools places for students' character formation and social identity.

Students' environmental awareness in schools that have implemented the Adiwiyata program still faces challenges, especially in the aspect of consistency in daily ecological behavior. The values of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) actually have a strong ecological foundation through the concepts of khalifah, amanah, and thaharah, but their internalization in student behavior has not been optimal. This study aims to: (1) describe the process of internalization of PAI values in building environmental awareness in SMP Negeri 2 Purwokerto; (2) analyze the role of social capital in the formation of a culture of environmental care; and (3) explain the supporting factors and obstacles to the internalization of environmental-based PAI values. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data were obtained through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews with PAI teachers and 9C class students, and documentation of the school's environmental program. Data analysis was carried out through data condensation, data presentation, and thematic conclusion drawing with triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of the study indicate that the values of thaharah and khalifah fil ardh have become the basis for the formation of an environmental care culture. Bonding social capital is evident through teacher role models and the on-duty system; linking social capital is evident through inter-institutional Adiwiyata collaboration; while bridging social capital involving parents has not yet functioned optimally. This research shows that the success of Islamic Religious Education-based environmental education depends not only on the learning materials but also on social relations, role models, and a school culture that are built sustainably.

This article is designed to examine the negotiation of identity among students from pre-prosperous families in achieving educational mobility at Madrasah Aliyah through the perspective of the sociology of educational institutions. The main focus is directed at the claim that students from pre-prosperous families negotiate their social identity through academic achievement, discipline, and support networks in order to achieve educational mobility. The field research was conducted at MAN 2 Banyumas, which empirically demonstrates social practices related to this issue. Primary data were collected through observation of academic achievement as a strategy to gain social recognition, interviews with guidance and counseling teachers and pre-prosperous students, as well as documentation of institutional policies and programs. The three dimensions of evidence examined are: (1) academic achievement as a strategy for students to obtain social recognition, (2) teacher support and scholarships that sustain educational continuity, and (3) students' social resilience in facing family economic constraints. Using a qualitative case study approach, this article demonstrates how social relations, institutional norms, educational authority, as well as students' and teachers' experiences shape everyday educational practices. The contribution of this article does not stop at case description, but also builds a theoretical argument about how educational institutions function as social arenas that produce trust, identity, discipline, solidarity, and social change. The research findings are expected to enrich discussions on the sociology of Islamic education in Indonesia and offer recommendations for strengthening the governance of educational institutions based on field data.

This study aims to describe the role of the prayer room (musholla) as a place of worship and social space for students, explain the practice of daily piety through the habit of congregational prayer, and analyze the roles of teachers, schools, and families in shaping the religious character of children at SD Negeri 2 Lesmana. This study used a qualitative approach with field research. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation of students' religious activities in the school prayer room. The results indicate that the prayer room functions not only as a place for worship but also as a space for religious habits, character education, and student social interaction. Through activities such as Duha prayer (Duha), Zuhur prayer (Dhuhr), BTQ (Recitation of the Quran), group prayer, and teacher involvement in mentoring, students learn discipline, order, responsibility, maintaining togetherness, and respecting rules. Students' daily practice of piety is formed through the habit of worship that is carried out routinely, purposefully, and sustainably. Religious character formation is strengthened when schools, teachers, and families work together to instill religious values both at school and at home.

This study discusses the formation of students' religious habitus through the Child-Friendly School Program at MI Ma'arif NU Banjaranyar. This issue is important because religious habituation in madrasah is often understood merely as a routine activity, whereas it also contains social relations, rules, exemplary behavior, a sense of safety, and the way the institution treats children as educational subjects. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were obtained through field observations, interviews with the head of madrasah, teachers, and students, as well as documentation in the form of the madrasah profile, religious programs, and anti-bullying program reports. The data were analyzed thematically by focusing on three concepts: religious habitus, child-friendly school, and cultural, social, and symbolic capital. The results show that the Child-Friendly School Program functions as a structure that provides a safe space for forming religious habits. Activities such as prayers before learning, memorization of Asmaul Husna, memorization of Juz 30, Dhuha prayer, tahlil, istighasah, and congregational Zuhur prayer are not separate agendas, but are integrated into a madrasah atmosphere that rejects violence and prioritizes close teacher-student relationships. Teachers act as agents who translate Islamic values into daily practices, while the head of madrasah and institutional programs provide legitimacy so that habituation remains consistent. The findings affirm that students' religious habitus grows not merely through advice, but through repeated practices that are socially accepted and feel safe for children.
