Abstract

Pemanfaatannya buah kelapa di Wilayah Sumatera Selatan masih terbatas pada olahan buah kelapa saja sebagai bahan baku pembuatan minyak kelapa dan kebutuhan rumah tangga. Tempurung kelapa sebagai limbah pertanian, jika diolah dengan baik maka akan menjadi sumber nafkah, karena tempurung kelapa memiliki potensi yang baik untuk digunakan sebagai bahan baku industri, salah satunya asap cair (liquefied smoke). Penelitian tentang pembuatan dan pemanfaatan asap cair (liquefied smoke) telah banyak dilakukan sebelumnya namun memiliki banyak kelemahan, diantaranya kurang efektif dan efisien, biaya produksi yang mahal serta sulit pengoperasiaannya. Oleh karena itu, dalam penelitian ini diusulkan pembuatan alat pembuat asap cair yang lebih sederhana, murah dan efisien dengan pengaturan tekanan udara panas mengunaakan teknik modifikasi gate valve. Alat pembuat asap cair yang telah dimodifikasi telah diuji coba dan mampu meningkatkan hasil produksi asap cair 59,3 % pada suhu 2000 C.

Abstract

Mesin adalah tulang punggung proses produksi, oleh sebab itu kondisi mesin melalui maintenance harus dijaga supaya tetap dalam keadaan optimum. Peran teknologi informasi sangat diperlukan sebagai alat bantu menjaga kondisi optimum mesin-mesin yang ada, misalnya melalui software yang disebut Sistim Informasi Manajemen (SIM). Di dalam laporan akhira ini peneliti merencanakan pembuatan SIM yang didalam pengaplikasiaannya akan diterapkan di Bengkel Produksi Jurusan Teknik Mesin Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya Palembang yang disebut dengan Sistim Informasi Preventive Maintenance (SIPM) dengan menggabungkan teori Preventive Maintenan (PM) dan sistem Database. Proses perancangan software menggunakan metode Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), yang meliputi: plan, analisa, desain, implementasi dan testing. Alat pengembang yang digunakan adalah Microsoft Access 2010 beserta bahasa pemrograman Visual Basic for Application (VBA).

Abstract

PT. X is a company that manufactures sugar. The situation of firm X cannot be described as ideal due to the need for extensive study, particularly on the cane cutter's blade. A common indication of cane cutters is a rapid rate of wear. In this study, researchers employed a qualitative technique based on the taguchi method. The taguchi approach is a modern engineering technique that strives to improve the quality of products and processes while reducing costs and maximizing resources. The taguchi experimental strategy is more effective because it permits research incorporating a large number of variables and numbers. Since a larger hardness response is preferable, the largest confirmation value is the ideal parameter value for the knife manufacturing process on the cane cutter. When measuring the hardness of the blade material on a cane cutter, temperature is a highly important component. According to the findings of the hardness test, the hardest material at a temperature of 750oC and a cooling medium of NaCl solution with a hardness value of 12.4 HRC is, and the hardest material at a temperature of 800oC and a cooling medium of NaOH solution with a hardness value of 59.7 HRC is.

Abstract

By using water on the gilding, the blacksmith's Egrek was hardened.  The Egrek must have tough hardness. The low hardness causes the Egrek to wear out frequently, so consumers criticize the hardness and toughness of blacksmith products.  Due to the wrong heat treatment, the Egrek cause is easily destroyed. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of quenching treatment with various cooling media such as water, used oil, and cooking oil on increasing the hardness of blacksmith products. This research method is an experimental quenching using water, used oil, and cooking oil at 800°C, 850°C, and 900°C, with a holding time of 30 minutes. Rockwell hardness test, statistical data processing using ANOVA and supported by the use of expert design software. Having an average carbon content of 0.379%, Egrek's raw material is made of medium carbon steel. Based on the results of the quenching process with water, used oil, and cooking oil affect hardness. The quenching process of the cooking oil cooling medium that occurs at 800°C with a hardness value of 50.1 HRC produces a minimum hardness value, while the maximum average hardness lies in the water cooling medium with a temperature of 900°C of 60.4 HRC. The results of the percentage contribution of each are used oil by 96.37%, cooking oil by 96.61%, while water cooling media contributed by 88.41%. So that the cooling media for used oil and cooking oil can also be used as an alternative choice of cooling media.

Abstract

With the rapid development of technology, the need for innovation is also increasing. One of the most popular technologies today is 3D printers. However, to produce quality 3D prints, a good frame structure is essential. The most important part in 3D printing is the frame structure. The most crucial part in the 3D printing process is the frame structure, namely Core XY. This is very crucial because the frame structure of the Core XY 3D printer has a big influence on the load it will accommodate in supporting the overall 3D printing process. The material used in this research is 6061 aluminum with extrusion profile 2020. This research focuses on analyzing the strength and balance of the structure, as well as the strength of the joints on the Core XY 3D printer due to static loading. To achieve this goal, researchers used the finite element analysis method using Ansys 2021 R1 software to obtain an optimal simulation. The tests used by researchers were carried out by determining the static free value that occurs in the Core XY 3D printer frame. The structural analysis results show the maximum deflection value δmax = 0.25635mm, maximum yield stress εymax = 42.169 MPa, and maximum yield strain σymax = 6.1417e-004mm/mm. Researchers can conclude that the Core XY 3D printer is feasible to use to be able to produce 3D object prints.

Abstract

The Production Machinery Workshop at the Sriwijaya State Polytechnic are producing a lot of aluminum scrap left over from turning, where this waste is still thrown away. This will cause pollution to the environment and will be detrimental to the Sriwijaya State Polytechnic workshop. Casting is one way to deal with aluminum scrap, scrap be melted and then reshaped into a practical material that can be reused. The use of sand as a printing medium in recycling scrolls is not recommended because it is less effective and efficient in terms of long-term use. After research has been carried out, the resulting aluminum shaving waste can be reused as practical material provided that the shavings must be separated from other waste such as iron and steel. In the optimization process, the best value is obtained at the spindle speed factor of 900 rpm (A1), then the feeding depth at 0.5 mm (B1), and the feeding speed at 0.08 mm/put.

Abstract

Optimalisasi penggunaan lahan rawa pasang surut untuk meningkatkan produktivitas dan hasil padi dapat dilakukan dengan peningkatan indeks pertanaman (IP). Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mendapatkan informasi peluang peningkatan indeks pertanaman melalui penggunaan varietas unggul baru padi. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Januari-Desember 2019 di Desa Sukaraja, Kabupaten Banyuasin, Sumatera Selatan dengan menguji tiga kombinasi pola tanam yang diulang empat kali. Perlakuan pola tanam yaitu: P1: Regas (musim tanam /MT 1)-Regas (MT 2); P2: Inpara 2 (MT 1)-Inpara 2 (MT 2); P3: Inpara 2 (MT 1)-Inpari 19 (MT 2)-Inpari 19 (MT 3). Regas adalah varietas lokal yang umum ditanam petani, Inpara 2 adalah varietas unggul baru (VUB) adaptif lahan rawa, dan Inpari 19 adalah VUB berumur genjah. Budidaya yang diterapkan yaitu Rawa Pasang Surut Intensif, Super, dan Aktual (RAISA). Pengamatan dilakukan terhadap karakter pertumbuhan dan hasil, serta perbandingan hasil antar pola tanam. Pola tanam padi-padi dengan VUB adaptif rawa (Inpara 2) merupakan pola tanam dengan hasil tertinggi sebesar 11.35 ton ha-1 GKG atau 34.6% lebih tinggi dibanding padi lokal. Indeks pertanaman di lahan rawa pasang surut berpeluang ditingkatkan menjadi tiga kali tanam pada kondisi curah hujan tahunan tinggi dengan didukung pendekatan varietas hasil tinggi dan umur pendek. Abstract

The contribution of rice production in drylands (upland rice) to national rice production is still low, due to several limiting factors including limited water, low pH, and low soil fertility. This study aimed to obtain improved recommendations for amelioration and bioremediation in drylands with Al stress to enhance rice production. The upland rice variety of Inpago 12 was planted at Taman Bogo Experimental Farm, East Lampung in the first planting season of 2020. The experiment was arranged in a split-plot design with three replications. The main plot was the application of amelioration materials consisting of control (without amelioration), CaMg(CO3)2, CaCO3, and rock phosphate. The subplot was the application of bioremediation materials consisting of control (without bioremediation), biofertilizer, endophytic microbes, and citric acid. Results showed that amelioration and bioremediation on dry land with low to moderate Al stress and high Al stress did not significantly increase the growth of rice plants. However, bioremediation in the form of citric acid on land with low to moderate Al stress significantly increased grain production by 6.21% than without bioremediation. Abstract

This study aims to determine the rights of the seller and the cause of the increase in cooking oil as well as the right of the seller to determine the highest retail price by the government according to Ibnu Taimiyah. This research is qualitative research (field research) with a case study approach. The results of the study show that the factors that increase the price of cooking oil occur naturally, such as a decrease in the production of crude palm oil, high prices of crude palm oil, and the transfer of crude palm oil to CPO biodiesel. The price increase application is based on economic principles, so there should be no price-fixing according to Ibn Taimiyah, because it violates the seller’s right to determine the price according to market mechanisms.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis akurasi model prediksi kepuasan mahasiswa/i terhadap layanan perpustakaan STIKOM Tunas Bangsa menggunakan metode C4.5. Layanan perpustakaan yang berkualitas merupakan faktor penting dalam menunjang keberhasilan akademik mahasiswa/i. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kepuasan mahasiswa/i terhadap layanan perpustakaan menggunakan metode C4.5, sebuah algoritma pohon keputusan yang populer untuk klasifikasi. Dengan pendekatan ini, diharapkan dapat diukur tingkat akurasi kepuasan dan mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor utama yang memengaruhinya, sehingga perpustakaan dapat meningkatkan kualitas layanan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengguna.i. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diambil dari survei kepuasan mahasiswa/i terhadap berbagai aspek layanan perpustakaan, seperti ketersediaan koleksi, fasilitas, pelayanan staf, dan kenyamanan ruang baca. Data tersebut kemudian diolah dan dianalisis menggunakan metode C4.5 untuk membangun model prediksi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa metode C4.5 mampu memberikan akurasi yang cukup tinggi dalam mengukur kepuasan mahasiswa/i, dengan tingkat akurasi yang dihasilkan mencapai persentase yang signifikan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam pengembangan model prediksi kepuasan mahasiswa/i yang dapat digunakan sebagai acuan dalam meningkatkan kualitas layanan perpustakaan di STIKOM Tunas Bangsa.
