Abstract

Background: Di tengah tuntutan era digital yang menekankan pentingnya penguasaan soft skills, kemampuan public speaking menjadi kompetensi krusial yang belum memperoleh porsi memadai dalam kurikulum pendidikan formal.

Abstract

This research aims to see the differences and interactions that occur in students' mathematics learning outcomes based on the application of learning models that are reviewed based on the student's gender. This research used a quantitative research approach carried out at SDN Pasirbanteng, MI Ar-Ridhwan, MIS Pasirpogor I, MI Sukarasa, and SDN Saapan with a sample of 41 students at SDN Pasirbanteng, 33 students at MI Ar-Ridhwan, 20 students at MIS Pasirpogor I, 24 students at MI Sukarasa, and 30 students at SDN Saapan with a total of 148 students in class IV. The learning models applied at SDN Pasirbanteng, MI Ar-Ridhwan, MIS Pasirpogor I, MI Sukarasa, and SDN Saapan are Contextual, Cooperative, Project Based Learning (PjBL), Problem-Based Learning (PBL), and Inquiry. The method in this research uses the survey method and the Analysis of Variance test. This research instrument uses a test to test the data analysis requirements used, consisting of a normality test using Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk with the help of SPSS version 26 software. However, if the data normality assumption is not met, a Non-Parametric Test, namely the Median Test, is carried out. In this research, it was found that there were differences between the learning models used in mathematics learning, but this did not occur when viewed based on the gender of the students. An interaction between the learning model and student gender was also not found. The contextual learning model with PjBL, PBL, Inquiry and the cooperative learning model with PjBL, PBL, and Inquiry each have significant differences. However, there is no difference between contextual and cooperative learning models, PjBL and PBL, PjBL with inquiry, and PBL with inquiry.

Abstract

Currently, students' mathematical abilities are still relatively low and are found in several schools. This research aims to analyze students' mathematics learning outcomes based on school origin, reviewing the students' gender, weight, and height. This research used a quantitative approach which was carried out at SDN Pasirbanteng, MI Ar-Ridhwan, and MIS Pasirpogor I with survey methods and Analysis of Variance tests to see differences and interactions. The population in this study was all students at SDN Pasirbanteng, MI Ar-Ridhwan, and MIS Pasirpogor I with a sample of 41 students at SDN Pasirbanteng, 33 students at MI Ar-Ridhwan, and 20 students at MIS Pasirpogor I for a total of 94 students. This research instrument uses a test that tests the data analysis requirements used, consisting of a normality test using Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk with the help of SPSS version 26 software. The research results show no differences and interactions between gender, height, and weight of students on mathematics learning outcomes based on the student's school origin. This is based on the Two Ways ANOVA statistical test with data that has homogeneity and normality of the data received. So, for further research, it is hoped that an analysis of students' mathematics learning outcomes can be carried out based on the student's gender, distance from domicile to school, and parents' income to see whether there are significant differences and interactions with their learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of mathematics learning on the concepts of the Greatest Common Divisor (GCD) and the Least Common Multiple (LCM) on students' abilities at SDN Pasir Banteng, West Bandung Regency. The population consisted of all students at SDN Pasir Banteng, with a sample of 40 fifth-grade students. The research employed a quantitative method with an explanatory research approach and a causal-correlational study design. The sampling technique used was probability sampling with simple random sampling, and the instruments included questionnaires and tests that had been validated and tested for reliability. Validity and reliability tests were conducted by comparing Cronbach’s Alpha with Cronbach’s Alpha if Item Deleted, using SPSS version 26. The normality test using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov method indicated that the data were not normally distributed, with significance values of 0.000 and 0.003 (p < 0.05). This was also supported by the analysis of the Normal Q-Q Plot, where the data points were not clustered around the diagonal line. Consequently, a non-parametric statistical analysis using Spearman’s correlation was conducted. The results showed a significance value of 0.002 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant impact of GCD learning on students' abilities to understand LCM. The Correlation Coefficient value of 0.470 demonstrated a moderate relationship between the two variables. Therefore, it can be concluded that GCD learning has a significant correlation with students' understanding of LCM, emphasizing the need for teachers to integrate these two concepts effectively in the learning process.

Abstract

Mastery of the Greatest Common Factor (GCF) is a fundamental component of number learning in elementary mathematics, as it supports students’ understanding of arithmetic operations and later mathematical reasoning. However, differences in students’ mathematical achievement may be associated with individual and institutional factors, including gender and school type. This study aims to examine the effects of school type and gender on elementary school students’ mastery of the Greatest Common Factor and to determine whether an interaction exists between these variables. The study employed a quantitative approach using an ex post facto comparative factorial design. The sample consisted of 28 sixth-grade students from three Islamic elementary schools in West Bandung Regency, Indonesia. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and Two-Way ANOVA after meeting the assumptions of normality and homogeneity. The results indicate that school type significantly affects students’ GCF mastery. Gender also shows significant differences in learning outcomes between male and female students. However, no significant interaction effect was found between school type and gender. These findings suggest that variations in GCF mastery are influenced more by institutional context and gender differences independently rather than by their combined effect. This study contributes empirical evidence on how student characteristics and school context relate to numeracy achievement in elementary mathematics learning.

Abstract

Despite the increasing emphasis on critical thinking skills and adversity quotient in elementary education, existing studies remain fragmented and lack comprehensive synthesis regarding the integration of instructional models and digital platforms. Specifically, the combination of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Learning Management Systems (LMS) has not been systematically examined within elementary mathematics contexts. This study aims to synthesize empirical evidence on the effectiveness of PBL integrated with LMS in enhancing students’ critical thinking skills and adversity quotient. This research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) using structured stages: identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. A total of 16 peer-reviewed articles published between 2020 and 2025 were selected from Google Scholar and Scopus based on predefined criteria. The analysis focuses on research design, intervention characteristics, and learning outcomes. The findings indicate that PBL–LMS integration effectively promotes critical thinking through problem exploration, collaboration, and reflection. It also strengthens students’ adversity quotient by fostering persistence, adaptability, and resilience in learning challenges. Furthermore, its effectiveness is influenced by instructional design quality, digital facilitation, and task alignment with student characteristics. This study contributes a focused synthesis highlighting the dual impact of PBL–LMS integration on cognitive and non-cognitive development in elementary mathematics learning.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' lack of interest in writing and analyze their difficulties in expressing feelings and thoughts in the form of poetry. The ability to master diction in writing poetry is a major concern because it affects the quality of their literary works. This study used an experimental method of pretest-posttest control group design consisting of an experimental class that used digital crossword puzzle media and a control class that used clip card media. The data collection methods used in this research include observation, a pilot test, and a test. The research data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results showed that the experimental class using digital-based crossword puzzle media experienced a significant increase in the ability to master connotation meaning in writing poetry compared to the control class. This indicates that the media helped improve poetry writing skills by using appropriate diction. The use of digital-based crossword puzzle media can improve the mastery of connotational meaning in writing poetry for phase D students at SMP Negeri 1 Wanayasa. Teachers need to prepare the content and layout of the crossword puzzle, provide concept explanations, and involve learners.
